The tour was exceptional, the food stops well curated, and our guide, Hiromi Yamada, was professional, competent, and engaging at all times. Our party would, if circumstances allowed, happily engage her services again.

fiendly service, delicious food
We had the best time with our guide Hiromi! She took us to the best food places: standing sushi 10/10 (we went back again it was so good), okonomkyaki and takoyaki, and steak yakiniku. She also went above and beyond and got us small gifts through the tour. We felt like we had a photographer with us capturing all our moments. She even walked us through the Don Quijote and waited while we shopped. I would definitely do this tour again with Hiromi and recommend her to others!
Nicely .. all in one staffs and humble fullynature..
White Hills Hotel was absolutely amazing! The service, food, and activities were all wonderful. And a special thank you to Malak. She was the best when it came to the activities and truly the best at the hotel. She genuinely made me so happy and made my experience even more special. Thank you, Malak, and thank you, White Hills! 🤍✨
Amber was amazing! We were lucky because no one else booked that day, so it was like we had our own private tour guide. She took great care of us and loved all the places took us. Thank you!
It was a good experience, we had been in little restaurants and got a great overview of the quarter. Our guide Hamada is well experienced and knowledgeable. We had been 2 + Hamada, which was a great!
Amber was great. She took us to the best spots with authentic food and not touristy places. She had great recommendations for Tokyo overall!
We had a fantastic experience on this food tour, truly one of the highlights of Tokyo. Our guide, Naoto took us around, he was wonderful, knowledgeable warm and passionate, ad he took us to places we would have not been able to fully appreciate without his guidance Highly recommended
Kato-san is an excellent guide, both knowledgeable about Shibuya, its culture and its food, and how best to experience Shibuyas beauty and vibrancy. Despite the considerable rain, both my Mum and I greatly enjoyed the tour. The food choices were excellent, between the authentic, tasty Takoyaki, the grilled at the table Wagyu beef, and the taste of real sushi, it couldn't have been better. The sights of Shibuya were also excellent, from the iconic Shibuya crossing, the view from the outside terrace of Gallery 11, to the historic Nonbei Yokocho, and Miyashita Park. Recommend this tour wholeheartedly.
Amber was amazing, she really knows the places around Shibuya. We had a wonderful time, tried several foods and had the opportunity to discuss with her more about food :). She was very open to learn what we loved and made sure we go to the right places. We went for sushi, wagyu beef (the places with the inside grill - tried out several beef cuts - all delicious), octopus spheres (forgot the name of the dish) and some Japanese sweets (several kinds of mochi). We really enjoyed our food, time and Amber's company and had insightful conversations. She also recommended some other places to check out, so definetly will give those a try as well. Thank you, Amber!
I had a great time with Hamada. Took me around Shibuya to eat some really amazing food and see the neighborhood.
Loved this food tour. Our guide Hamada was fun knowledgeable personable. He took us to three great restaurants and ordered food that he knew we would like. He even catered to a picky eater in our group. I highly recommend doing this food tour and having Hamada as your guide.
We had an absolutely wonderful food tour with our guide, Amber! She led us through the streets of Shibuya and introduced us to many of the delicious tasting experiences in the area. We highly recommend this tour and the unique opportunity to be a part of a vibrant Tokyo community.
A little about us. We are from Hawaii and are familiar with a lot of the foods here in Japan. The reason we took the tour is because we wanted the perspective from a native Japanese person. Now about the tour. Our guide was Bazaraa. Since nobody else was booked this ended up being a private tour. I appreciate him and the company for not cancelling as I know other companies would cancel if they don’t have enough people. After we met Bazaraa he asked a little about us and if there was anything specific we wanted to see or do. He said since it’s private we have a little flexibility. We didn’t really have ideas so we let him decide what he thought was best. Being we were at the Shibuya crossing of course we had to do that and he kindly took a picture of us crossing with all the other people. We then went to other spots for viewing and eating. I’m not going into detail because I want your tour to be a surprise. I do appreciate that Bazaraa tried to find things different from what we are used to eating. Some places were similar but it was still different, better and a great experience. We do appreciate him going out of his way to make our experience on the tour more personal. He also answered questions we had other places in Japan and gave us some tips for later. If you are on the fence about this tour I’d highly recommend it. If you are wondering if you eat enough the answer is Yes! We ended the tour about 3pm and weren’t hungry even at 9pm. Thank you Bazaraa we appreciate you and your expertise and professionalism.
Hamada guided me for a fun and informative evening. He made sure I was comfortable at all times and even assisted in a purchase at BIC camera.
Amber was great! Pleasant, informative, patient, and friendly. We experienced a lot of different foods and enjoyed the experience.
We had a great time with our guide Bazaraa taking us around to great food spots we wouldnt have found otherwise!
What amazing tour guide we had. Super knowledgeable of the area we toured and an expert on the food we tasted. Truly a super nice guy. Islam opened our eyes and mouth by experiencing different tastes we probably would never try. When we return to Japan we will definitely look Islam up.
Enjoyed the tour! Food was delicious and I was lucky enough to be the only one on the tour. Great to have my own private tour! Amber was such a lovely tour guide and a pleasure to converse with! She even bought me some sweets for my birthday. Thank you Amber!
My husband and I are foodies and travel the world exploring various foods. Japan is alluring with its rich history, great food, culture, and people! Our older son picked this as his graduation trip. He selected the Shibuya Food tour, and we were not disappointed by all the hidden gems that Bazaraa (our guide) took us to today! Do come hungry! We navigated through Shibuya seamlessly with Bazaraa at our side. We had standing sushi, pit stopped at a cafe for a cool beverage, Kobe beef for lunch with the most delicious matcha ice cream, and the best takoyaki (so many different flavors that we’ve never had before) in a nice gem of a restaurant! In between these stops, Bazaraa kindly took photos of us and sent afterwards. Bazaraa mixed in air conditioned locations throughout so we wouldn’t overheat. In passing, I mentioned that I needed to get a Suica train card for my younger son, and he graciously showed us how to get one at one of the nearby stations! If you’re looking for an extremely flexible, knowledgeable, and hospitable guide, Bazaraa is highly recommended!
Bazarra was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the area! He customized the tour to fit what I wanted to try and the places I wanted to see. It was such a pleasure chatting and learning from him! Highly recommend this tour!
This was one of the best food tours I have ever done. Kato was our fabulous guide. He was warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Japanese food and culture. His communication before and after the tour was exceptional. We knew exactly where to meet and when, and he answered questions ahead of time. Afterward, he sent us photos and even shared extra recommendations. The food was excellent and truly all-you-can-eat, which is rare for a food tour, especially one with this level of quality. We had takoyaki, dorayaki, and obanyaki, followed by a generous yakiniku dinner and an incredible sushi feast at a local izakaya. Everything was fresh, delicious, and well-paced. The tour also included fun stops at Daiso, Don Quijote, and Miyashita Park, which gave it a nice local feel beyond just the food. We also appreciated seeing some sights and learning about the culture along the way, including spots like Hachiko Square, Shibuya Crossing, and Nonbei Yokocho. This is definitely a pricier food tour, but it is worth every penny. The amount and quality of the food, thoughtful itinerary, and outstanding service made it one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a high quality, memorable evening in Shibuya.
Kato San was easy company - like having beers with a mate. Showed us things we might not have seen otherwise. Introduced us to Daiso Sake!
This was one of the best experiences we had while visiting Japan. The guide was fantastic, food, choices, and quality were great and we got an insiders view of Tokyo. Definitely would recommend.
Akira with Wasoku Club Tours was an exception guide. We had a private food tour that took us through the area of Shibuya. We enjoyed fresh food that in great spots we would have never found on our own. Akira also took us through a few shops, pointing out food and local shopping opportunities. He is also an amazing photographer. I highly recommend this tour and Akira if you’re looking for amazing local food in Tokyo.
Ahmed provided clear instructions on how to meet him in the Shibuya area. We were quite tired from traveling, so Ahmed rearranged our schedule on-the-fly to compress our tour without missing any of the stops. We enjoyed his description of the foods, the Shibuya area, and Japanese customs. Ahmed took lots of photos of our trip and sent them to us afterwards. Highly recommended!
Not really what I expected. Tour guide was just okay. I don’t feel like the price of this tour was worth it.
Excellent tour. Everything we saw we would not have been able to find on our own. Our guide was very helpful explaining everything and answering all our questions.
A really enjoyable walk to tucked away places we wouldn’t have found on our own. Kato shared his knowledge of food and culture and we experienced a large range of fabulous food!
This tour was one of the highlights of our Tokyo trip. We lucked out and ended up being the only ones on the tour, which made it feel like a private experience. Our guide, Samir, was kind, informative, and incredibly attentive throughout. He led us through hidden food spots in bustling Shibuya—places we’d never have found on our own. We sampled everything from fresh sushi to Osaka-style street food like okonomiyaki and takoyaki. The highlight for me personally? The A5 Wagyu beef—unreal flavor and texture. Samir also carved out time for a quick stop at one of Shibuya’s iconic malls, which was a fun surprise. We wrapped up with traditional Japanese sweets like mochi and dango. If you’re after an off-the-beaten-path food experience with a great guide and unforgettable flavors, this one’s for you.
Very hospitable and kind tour guide! Guide was very helpful, other group members got lost, he wanted for them, in the mean time he took us on “bonus tour” spots.
They did not give us what we expected. Leader did not show up until halfway through the event. Trip started with someone who did not know what they were doing and, therefore, could not explain anything about the food we were eating . It was only two of us and therefore was not as fun as it could have been with a group.
very delicious and good food and hidden places in shibuya and good photo places very nice guide and places
Our guide, Chisato was great! She accommodated our nine and 13 year-old fantastically too! She made sure we saw all the awesome spots at Shibuya crossing. It would have been very intimidating to decide where to go and what to experience without her! We really enjoyed the Japanese octopus balls, better know as “Takoyaki”. Tons of delicious wagyu beef, and we topped off our experience with delicious Japanese sweets. I personally opted for some Matcha ice cream. We decided to not indulge in more cuisine, but it’s important to note that our guide, Chisato, did have additional spots to take us! We were just stuffed! She even made sure we got to the Nintendo store too, even though this was a food tour, she helped us with our shopping goals! Really enjoyed our experience.
Hamada was a super cool tour guide! He took us to 4 great spots where we got to try a bunch of different foods! We were so full after. Come hungry!
Fantastic guides and amazing food - a must for anyone visiting Tokyo. I couldn’t imagine a better event.
I’ve done quite a few food tours in different countries and this was far and away the best. Our guides were amazing and the restaurants were incredible. I highly suggest taking part in this event.
My husband and I enjoyed our food tour with Bazaraa! He was informative and patient and very accommodating to the entire group. The restaurants were wonderful and the food was outstanding. We would recommend the tour Highly!
Hiromi was an excellent tour guide and we had a great time with her. She was friendly and knowledgeable. We highly recommend her as a food walking guide.
Hiromi was a fantastic guide. She took me to the best sushi I have ever had. It was so fresh that it melted in my mouth. I also loved the BBQ place where she grilled Waygu beef wrapped in lettuce. Finally, the ramen place had a 40 min wait that well worth it. The ramen was served in a study cubicle where the focus, instead of books, is on ramen. Loved it!!
The food was absolutely delicious, the sights were amazing and Kato-san was very informative, plus he took some great pictures!
This was a fabulous tour! I had a wonderful time exploring Shibuya. We visited fully-booked restaurants filled with locals. Two of the restaurants were on higher floors of buildings that would have been invisible to me without a guide. I was able to try high-quality sushi, Wagyu beef, octopus balls, “pizza” and so much more. Between stops I learned about Shibuya, we visited some local shops and took in an amazing view of Shibuya crossing. I was so full at the end that I didn’t have room left for dessert at the final tour stop. Make sure you come hungry! Because I was the only guest on the tour my guide, Bazaraa, customized the menu at each stop based on my interests and preferences. Highly recommend as a first day activity in Tokyo!
A family of 4, all enjoyed this experience this evening. We had an excellent tour guide, Hiromi! She was the best….very friendly, knowledgeable, catered for our 2 children’s taste, personalised the walking part of the tour to include anime and games. Each of the 3 restaurants were fantastic and all the dishes were delicious. We are so glad we did this tour as we would never have found or had the confidence to walk into any of these restaurants given this is our first time in Japan and we don’t speak the language. So much food! We are in a food coma so have brought the sweets back to our hotel to have tomorrow. We highly recommend this tour. Added bonus was Hiromi took lots of photos for us and shared them. It’s rare for us to get family shots so we appreciated that too.
Hiromi was the best guide we could ask for! After a seedy start, (we recommend Tir Na Nog for a speakeasy style drink), to our day we enjoyed her knowledgeable insight into Tokyo as well as her selection of dining options that we never would have found. We would choose her again and again.
I was lucky enough to get a private tour with Hiromi, and it did not disappoint. We spent 4 hours wandering and eating Shibuya. With it being just us things went quickly and Hiromi had no trouble at all pivoting to other things she knew I liked from our conversation. 10/10 would recommend!
Amazing food and great tour guides! Restaurants chosen were perfect with a great variety of foods. Very accommodating for us and all our kids!
Just seeing some places that you would miss without a local tour guide who knows the area well. Very friendly and knowledgeable thanks again Hamada
Booked this tour for our family of 4 at the last minute, and so glad I did. Loved walking through Shibuya area and experiencing restaurants and places that we would never have found on our own. The sushi, yakiniku, chicken karate and takoyaki were all amazing. Hamada, our guide, was friendly, personable and knowledgeable. We had a great afternoon and highly recommend this particular tour. AG
Great tour. I am a big eater and was very full. The sushi and steak was excellent. Highly recommended
