Reviews
wonderful experience, top show and performances
We enjoyed the Samurai show. The colorful outfits, dance choreography, music, and live performance was amazing. Staff were great and the Halloween limited edition sweets was spooktacular. We highly recommend the Samurai show!
Average dance show. Had long pause between scenes. Seating was too tiny and hard.
I would not recommend this tour, it was very overstimulating. It was very intense and just too much.
A must go Loved it here! The staff were SO friendly Top of the list and great value for money
This show is definitely high energy and a lot of fun. I would definitely say if you come to Japan do yourself a favor and go.
This is like a live action anime. Go in with a relaxed attitude borrow a kimono and go with the. Flow.
Great experience. The show is colorful and the music a modern Japanese rock. The staff very friendly. We celebrated my father 80 birthday, he got really happy and the staff work a extra mile to get us a cake To celebrate Thanks and well recommended show
Entertaining and breath taking
It was a wonderful and fun filled experience. The audience engagement and interaction is great! The scenery and venue is awesome!
I’m surprised by the reviews on this . Appreciate it’s not the old robot show which I would rate 10 out of ten for sensory overload . This is a very very very poor cousin Short acts in between massive intermissions between each . It just lacked something but maybe my expectations were wrong based on past experience Not a patch on the old robot extravaganza Quite a number left half way through - us included
TL;DR Everything was quantity, and little quality Lots of actors, lots of stage props. However the program had nothing to do with the soul of Japan, it was embarrassing really. Having seen the asakusa cabaret show, I left after 40minutes of seeing this "show", because I didnt want to taint my japan experience with such superficial basic tourist trap. Also: Bad sound quality Poor food (BBQ was ok, however overpriced)
It was bad!! Really bad!! Save your money. Has nothing to do with Samurai’s at all.
I went into the show not knowing exactly what to expect, but it was very entertaining. The staff was attentive and helpful. The theater is small, so I think almost every seat would be a good one. I wish there had been maybe one or two more scenes in the show and maybe one less intermission.
Wow. Excellent staff and show. A must go watch. The high pace actions and sceneray is very good. Interactions were great. Great prices. We now see why its 18+ for serving alcohol and surrounding work places. I will say no more about them.
Loved this crazy show! Recommend it! It was one my favourite experience during our time in Tokyo! Recommend it!
There was no show. On the final message we received the wrong address was given to us. We were walking and frantically trying to get in touch with Customer service. We eventually received the updated address 20 minutes after the show started and we walked to the venue and they denied us entry. I have requested a refund from Viator and have been denied. So disappointed
Absolutely stunning!! I have been in Japan over a week and I've seen alot of amazing things!! This show was brilliant. High energy, beautiful costumes, and highly entertaining. I wasn't totally sure what to expect but as the came out, drummers drumming, with all the gorgeous props, it was so amazing, I loved it! I would highly recommend you come see this show. It was definitely worth it. When I come back to Japan, and I will, I'm going to go see it again. The staff was friendly and professional. Seriously, go see for yourself.
I took my wife during a recent trip to Tokyo. I honestly didn’t know what to expect. However, once the show started I was astonished. I’ve visited a lot of countries and I’ve seen many shows. This was Hands down the best show I’ve seen.
I booked this activity for my final day in Tokyo, and I’ll admit I went in expecting something more like a traditional kabuki performance with classic costumes and storytelling. Instead, the show turned out to be more of a rock-style production (loud music, dancing, bright lights, and a lot of energy). Even though everything was in Japanese, it was still easy to follow and fun to watch because the performances were so visual. Our tickets from TripAdvisor included two drinks per person, which was nice, but I somehow missed that you have to prepay for the full food items like sushi, ramen, or udon when booking. When we asked, the server explained those couldn’t be ordered on the spot. We ended up getting the sausage bun, fried chicken bites, and grilled rice balls. They were tasty, just not what I originally had my eye on. The show itself was split into multiple acts with short intermissions, and overall it was an entertaining night out, even if it wasn’t quite what I expected. My companion and I will have an excellent memory from this activity. I recommend this for anyone looking for a performance in Tokyo in Shinjuku area. Be Warned though; it is loud.
Omg what a show performs costumes everything was on point . Pls go when you are in Tokyo next . Reservation!!or not seats . Enjoyed its so much . Decor was also OTT but so well done and everything works . Really fun thing to do in Tokyo. DONT MISS THIS !!!
What an incredible experience five out of five a must do when in Shinjuku— from the beginning to the end, not one performance fell short. Incredible hospitality. The check-in was a little confusing, but it was all part of the adventure.
I don’t know what I was expecting but it definitely wasn’t this. We could not stop laughing the entire time we were there, the wrestlers were so humorous and very entertaining. The staff were so helpful and accommodating. It was a very nice establishment too, not scruffy or unclean but like it had just been built. The food was also amazing. Highly, HIGHLY recommend for any group/couple that are looking for something to do in Tokyo. Absolutely brilliant. I hope this establishment grows and grows and succeeds!
Made reservations for the 4:30 pm show over the phone five days ahead of time. Talked to a man that spoke relatively acceptable english. He said everything was set and to show up early. When we got there no reservations were on record and the show was sold out. The man at the door asked us to return later in case there were any cancellations. Another employee at the door told us that they do this frequently. After reading the reviews, I'm glad I didn't spend my money there.
The show segments were very well performed by enthusiastic and talented cast members. Costumes and sets were extravagant and impressive and we were surprised at the width of the stage - width of a full theatre stage (but not as deep or high). Reservations were that the performances only lasted about 30 minutes in total. The overall length was 90 mins - not the advertised 2 hours. The rest of the time was flogging souvenirs and drinks. Just as well we went with friends and amused ourselves during the long breaks. Not good value. Would not recommend.
Talented staff, but not the show we expected especially Halloween themes. Too much hard sell of T shirts and apparel and really only short musical slots spaced with breaks over 2 hrs. Would not do again.
This was a very original show. The food was good and we walked away with a smile on our faces. It was definitely a must if your visiting Tokyo.
This is just so tacky and fun. We absolutely loved every minute of the performance. It’s silly and over the top but there are talented dancers, actors and musicians and it’s all very fun and entertaining. Don’t take it too seriously and just enjoy the show!
The staff were very nice and the performers were all very good. I had no idea what was going on the entire time but it was entertaining. The bento box we ordered was just one you can pick up at the train station, I thought it would be a meal cooked in a kitchen so we were highly disappointed. The breaks in between sets were soooo long, like we got bored and felt like we were just waiting around. Overall it was ok, a little pricey for what you get.
My husband and I went for our 10 wedding anniversary and it was fantastic. The show was amazing and the staff were exceptional. I would take cash though if you want to order more food and drink as no credit card facilities.
The show is nice and definitely worth putting on your to-do list if you want to take a break from walking around while also diving into Japanese colors, costumes, and music. The staff is very kind and speaks good English. The whole show lasts about 1 hour and 40 minutes, with a few short breaks between acts. Down side: it’s full of Americans who will literally drink the beverage you left on the table if you step out for a smoke break.
This was just a Show which could only be appreciated by people who know the history of the Samurai. It's a shame that the history could not have been explained beforehand. It took a while for the stage to be set up before each scene so the Show was not long at all.. The drinks and food were ok and the extras provided were a nice add on.
This was one of the best shows i have ever seen. Staff were great and performers were just amazing. Would see it again. Fantastic
The Samurai Show finished with a bang! Colourful costumes and floats with great music and dancing! Great visual show to watch.
Absolutely loved this show and couldn't stop smiling the whole way through. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to add a bit of extra fun to their trip.
If your with a young group that is having a night out drinking, it could be fun. Definitely not worth the $200 I paid for two in VIP. Venue is small and the VIP is not worth it. 20 and over recommended, would be a lot more fun if everyone in party drinks or come after a few. The intermissions were longer than the performances. Merch was constantly pushed. The props and costumes were cheap and didn't fit the performs well. Would compare this to a high school talent show quality. Some of the performers were good, the sword scene with the young lady was well done, again, for a high school level talent show. Not worth the money, if you can get in cheap and want to drink with friends and engage with the performers, you may get free popcorn...
Fun and lively show. Performers were very entertaining and extremely energetic. There were three performances, each separated by somewhat lengthy intermissions. The third performance though, was worth the wait. I wish I could give it a 5 because of the performers, but the intermissions were just too long.
Wow! Crazy Enthusiasm. Like eating fireworks that taste like candy. Don’t think about it- Just push the button and Go!!
The show was alot of fun! The performers had alot of energy! It's solo traveller freindly, the robots and props are great.
Entertaining show. Fun and loud. Had a blast! The staff was very helpful. The performers really put their all into the show. Next time I'm in Tokyo, I'll definitely go again.
A fantastic trip. Lovely guide who felt like a friend as soon as we met him. We tried food we wouldn’t have encountered before and tried so many local ales and saki. Brilliant night. ❤️
It’s a very fun show, they serve two drinks of choice included and they have a menu if you want food. A DEFINITE MUST DO IF YOURE COMING TO TOKYO!!!
One of a kind experience in the heart of Shinjuko. Amazing talented performers and great service too
Since the Robot show is sadly long gone this was the next best thing. We skipped the food and just had drinks which was the smart move since Shinjuku is loaded with amazing places to eat anyway. The show's pacing is awkward with some segments being only a few minutes long followed by long intermissions. It starts with a bang and the last 10-15 minutes or so is fantastic... the middle was kinda meh. I'm not sure I'd recommend it but I could think of worse things to do.
Very fun show! The performers were passionate about the show and kept the audience captivated throughout Definitely something that everyone should experience during a trip to tokyo. The booking company helped us get some last minute tickets which I am very appreciative of. The only comment I have was that there were alot of breaks in the performance to set up the stage for the next scene. So just be aware that not there will be many breaks throughout the performance
Fantastic show! They gave the whole crowd a free sake shot! Performers were excellent. Would recommend to anyone for a fun night, but it’s definitely a younger crowd vibe. Definitely a must do in Japan! Book your ticket early, they sell out and you won’t be able to get in if you just show up (at least for the late night show). They only accept cash so bring if you want to order food or drinks. There is an ATM across the street.
It is a one-of-a-kind Japanese entertainment show! Great experience! Lots of lights and colors and energy but very enjoyable!
We loved the show ! It was really amazing, entertaining and fun . It was well worth the money ! We went to the last show at 4 pm and since you could have alcohol beverages it was better than first thing in the morning
This is a high energy show. Even the venue is over the top. Great dancing and choreography. Do not miss. You won't find anything like this at home.
