We love doing a cooking class when we travel. Always a fun experience! This class was well prepared and the instructors made it fun and informative. We talked about culture and different traditions and foods between all of our countries. Making the sushi and ramen in one class was great, because as the ramen broth was preparing we had something to do making sushi. There was no wasted time waiting. We did the early time slot and it worked out perfectly with us eating around lunch time and leaving the entire afternoon to explore the city. Absolutely give this class a try!

Wonderful experience. The sushi and ramen classes were great. Because it was a small group, we could talk and know a little bit of each other. And now we can dare to make ramen when go back home.
Excellent cooking experience. Friendly and wonderful people. Finally learned how to make sushi and ramen
Our family had a wonderful experience making ramen and sushi with our two teachers. If you arrive hungry, you will leave satisfied. The class started with information about ramen and sushi in the form of friendly presentation questions. The teachers are happy to answer any questions. We talked about food, language, and travel. This is a hands on class, especially the sushi making. Recommended.
Miyoko and Risa were excellent hosts. They shared their love of cooking and culture with ease. The entire experience was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan.
Learned heaps, the food was fantastic and the team were passionate about their work.
This was a great class. The instructors were do sweet, knowledgeable and helpful. We had an amazing time and the food was amazing. Definitely recommend.
This class was amazing. The instructors were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The food was amazing and we had an great time. Please don't miss out.
This class was awesome! It was a very intimate setting! Making sushi was so fun and the fish was so fresh and delicious! The ramen was super tasty with the pork belly. I never made pork belly before so I am thrilled to know I can make both of these dishes at home. The sake was so good and their sake glasses are adorable. I brought 2 home with me. Also they had some beautiful jewelry for sale. I bought 2 very unique earrings and every time I wear them people always compliment me and ask about them. What a statement piece! I wish I bought more. The 3 beautiful women who ran the class were so delightful
We had an absolutely unforgettable evening at the ramen and sushi cooking class with Sato and Amy! From the very first moment, they made us feel not like guests, but like friends welcomed into their home. Their warmth, patience, kindness, and passion for Japanese culture created such a special atmosphere. The class itself was fantastic — everything was explained clearly, hands-on, and with so much care. We learned how to make delicious ramen and sushi, but this experience became so much more than just cooking. It was about sharing stories, laughter, traditions, and genuine human connection. One of the most beautiful parts of the evening was meeting the wonderful people during dinner. We met such amazing, open-hearted, interesting people from different places, and sharing the meal together made the experience feel truly magical and unforgettable. It felt like one big family around the table. Sato and Amy created something very special — not just a cooking class, but a memory we will carry with us from Japan forever. Thank you for your generosity, hospitality, and for giving us one of the highlights of our trip. Highly, highly recommended! ❤️
Incredible ramen and sushi class, as well as sake tasting! Exceeded expectations!! Wonderful staff, high quality food, delicious dishes! Would 100% recommend. !
We were looking for the quintessential Japanese food experience, and this touched on it all for us. This was our first visit to Tokyo, so the in-depth explanations of these traditional food and drink were very much appreciated. We can't say enough about the amazing hospitality extended to us. Our hosts and instructors Umi, Konoma, and Tora were animated, fun, attentive, and helpful. We highly recommend this experience.
I take a cooking classes in every country I visit. This was the most underwhelming experience, especially given the price. The class was not 3 hours. It was two hours. We only made nigiri. Sushi includes more than nigiri. I was looking forward to making maki as it takes a lot more skill to make a role than a rice ball with fish on it such as nigiri. I was looking forward to learning a lot more about the history of sushi, soya sauce, miso, what’s a good quality, etc. The information on those subjects was minimal at best. Also, a lot of information that I did learn was because I asked, especially on sake. I’d appreciate a lot more participation in the ramen making part. Throwing a garlic clove and salt into the pot is not enough to justify the price. I thought that class participants will be making their own ramen and different kinds of sushi. That was not the case, far from it. The hosts were friendly, but not very engaging. One of the hosts was knowledgable on sake, different flavour profiles, etc. Again, I know that because I asked. Had I not, that information would not be included in this pricey course. My recommendation would be to host the class by an actual sushi/ramen chef, include more class participant involvement, include more information on cuisine history and its evolvement. It was also very disappointing to see hot marinade poured into the plastic bag to marinade the pork for ramen in. Plastic exposed to heat leaches into your food! Please avoid doing that as it’s very harmful for health. All and all, I don’t think the price justified what I received. I definitely had better. Much better.
This class was so well done! All of our hosts were incredibly sweet and supportive throughout the process. They made sure we all felt included and confident with each step. It had a wonderful mix of interactive learning and fun! I would highly recommend this 3hr class!
I could not recommend this experience more! From the minute we walked in the door tk the minute we left, the team here went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, comfortable, and informed. Our two instructors were amazing going over the different types of ramen and sushi and the work that goes into preparing both. And of course, the food was delicious! This was the nicest group of people I have ever met and you would not regret this experience.
Great cooking class!! We went hungry and left very full! This sushi was the most fresh fish I’ve ever eaten! I highly recommend this class.
Fantastic day out! So much fun, great fun, great hosts! So much delicious food and drink, and great day thank you
This was a great experience for my wife and I. We considered other options like the museum where you can make ramen but this was better. Our two instructors were fun and informative and the food was really good. We learned about real Japanese culture and language which is important to me. I was worried at first that we’d be standing for hours but that wasn’t the case. So much fun!
Had a lovely time during our cooking class! The sushi and ramen were delicious. We were able to get the recipe to make it again at home. The sake pairing was also great and they really tasted like something unique.
So Fun! good class, we learned a lot, and the food was excellent They were very helpful I would do it all again
Amazing experience!! Highly recommend to anyone in Tokyo. It was perfect down to the last detail. I can’t wait to come back next year. Thank you Umi and Sato for such an amazing last day in Tokyo.
My daughter and I had a fantastic experience. The team was so friendly and warm. The recipes they used were really delicious yet not too complicated and easy for beginners. We're definitely replicating this at home!!! They answered all my questions and gave a great overview of the history of sushi and ramen. Thanks so much!!
Attended the class with my mum, we have been very lucky to be the only ones there. We LOVED IT!! Highly recommend. The team was simply amazing, patient and engaging. I was pregnant and they cooked the sushi fish for me so that I wouldn’t miss out on the experience. Umi even helped us back to the train station with carrying my bag. Definitely going above and beyond. Thank you.
This was the BEST experience I’ve ever had with viator. The women of Ramen Cooking Tokyo are some of the warmest, kindest, most lovely people my husband and I have ever come across! By the end of the class it did not feel like we had paid for a cooking lesson amongst strangers— rather that we were learning how to cook from family. They were able to combine education and history about the food and clear easy to follow directions that allowed us to have such a delicious meal! The space is clean and bright and quite cozy! There’s no better way to spend your evening than by having a warm meal with warm hearted people (and the added bonus of unlimited sake ;)!) our only regret: not booking the gyoza class :/ but we will DEFINITELY be booking both classes on our next visit to Japan! Thank you ladies for such a WONDERFUL job and experience 皆様と楽しい時間を過ごしました。温かいおもてなしをありがとうございました。教えていただいたことを、ぜひ自宅で実践してみたいと思います! ^sorry if that spelling is off i used google translate:’h
It was a good experience for the family. Fun atmosphere and relaxed and flow easy to follow. Great teaching staff and generous tips!
Staff was amazing Very accurate for details Smiling and polite, I’ve enjoyed this experience with them
We had an amazing class with Mei and Taka. Apart from learning how to make Sushi an Ramen, we also learned a few interesting facts about the history of Sushi. At the end we also received a few insider tips for the rest of our stay and had some nice conversations. Also there was a very nice thank you gift for each participant :)
What a wonderful experience for our family! The instructors Nao and Haruko were easy to understand, super-helpful and patient - which was really appreciated as our 3 kids participated in the class (ages 5, 10, and 11). The best part was getting to enjoy the fruits of our labor at the end.
We had so much fun, Mei and her team were so welcoming and friendly. The course was excellent and the only one that we could find that offers both sushi and ramen making in one session. Would highly recommend
This ramen and sushi making class in Tokyo was absolutely amazing! The three women who teach it are knowledgeable, delightful, and so much fun — they make the entire experience both educational and joyful. I honestly feel like I can go home and confidently make both sushi and ramen, which says a lot! It’s not just a cooking class; it’s a wonderful window into Japanese culture, traditions, and hospitality. Truly one of the best cooking classes we’ve ever taken. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Tokyo — it’s a must-do experience!
Taking the "Ramen Cooking Tokyo" class was truly unforgettable. I’d struggled before to learn sushi at home with YouTube videos, always ending up frustrated and confused, but this class changed that completely. From the start, Sato and her colleague Ryushi made the learning environment warm and supportive. They broke down each ramen and sushi technique into easy, clear steps—so different from online tutorials! I went from feeling clumsy to confidently making nigiri (the perfect name for the sushi rice topped with tuna, salmon, and shrimp) and sashimi. Their patience and gentle guidance helped me build genuine skill and muscle memory. The ramen lesson was just as thoughtful. Every ingredient and method was explained simply, and I loved being able to take part in every stage. Our conversations about Japanese and European culture made the three hours fly by, turning the class into a fun cultural exchange. I left feeling truly happy and empowered to try these dishes at home. I highly recommend Ramen Cooking Tokyo to anyone keen to learn, whether you’re a beginner or looking to improve. I’m already planning to return with my family next time I’m in Tokyo!
Great experience learning how to make sushi and ramen. 5 star food. Be sure come hungry and ready for beer and sake. Instructions were thorough and easy to understand. Very fun experience. Well worth the cost.
Everything was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The team is really dedicated and puts a lot of effort into making sure everyone enjoys the class. The food we prepared was 10/10 – delicious, fresh, and authentic. The instructors speak English very well, so everything was easy to follow and fun. We even received a small gift at the end and enjoyed free drinks during the class. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to enjoy a truly authentic and enjoyable Japanese cooking experience!
Definitely pay the extra for this class I have done many cooking classes and this was one of the best
HIGHLY recommend. The food was amazing. The class was interactive and the instructors spoke great English. The class size is small so was a great time to get to know your fellow travelers. We booked this class for the Ramen and sushi combination and enjoyed every minute.
This experience was absolutely wonderful! My brother and I attended this class a few weeks ago and it was so much fun. Great atmosphere and great food.
This was fantastic! Highlight of our whole trip and done in a comfortable environment with easy to follow steps and even a fun quiz about the history and facts of sushi and ramen. Loved the whole thing, and the food was DELISH!!
Wonderful class with the friendliest staff making sushi, ramen, and having sake with Sato and Taka! It was a great experience learning to make their traditional dishes!
Everything was wonderful. The class was paced well, the food was fresh, the teacher Sato was extremely sweet. She made us feel like we were in a home learning how to cook. I’d give it 100 stars if I could. At first I thought the price may have been too high but after the experience it was worth every penny. Please book if you are going to Tokyo, Japan and want to learn how to make fresh sushi and ramen.
My wife and I did this experience as part of our anniversary trip to Japan and it was one of the most fun experiences we have had in Japan. The hosts Sato and Alex were very friendly and welcoming. The experience was a great way to learn about Japanese culture, history, and cuisine. The cooking instructions were presented very well and in a way that made it easy to learn. We had so much fun making nigiri and shoyu ramen. The recipes were delicious. I can not say enough good things about our time. We had a fun, educational, and entertaining time during our session. Thank you so much, we loved our time!
It was really good! I enjoyed it a lot. Staff really caring and sweet and also the make of food was really good explained. It was an enjoyable experience. Definitely a must in your Tokyo trip!!
We had an incredible time at the ramen and sushi cooking class with Ramen Master Suto in Tokyo! The experience was absolutely fantastic — everything from the warm welcome to the hands-on cooking was perfect. Master Suto was not only highly skilled but also very friendly and passionate, making the whole class engaging and fun. The ramen and sushi we prepared were incredibly delicious — some of the best I’ve ever had! The ingredients were fresh, and the instructions were easy to follow, even for beginners. The atmosphere was relaxed and authentic, giving us a real taste of Japanese culinary culture. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Tokyo — whether you're a foodie or just looking for a unique cultural experience. We would definitely do it again!
Very nice and small cooking class, the teacher Sato was really nice, would do it again! Very nice and cozy establishment
What a great way to start a day. Sushi sake for lunch. It was a lot of fun with the family, and all of the staff were friendly and supportive, even when we had rice all over our hands.
Very intimate, welcoming and an amazing learning experience. Visited on the mast day on my trip to japan, couldn’t be happier with how I spent the day. You walk out with insight on japanese Sushi and Ramen, and very nice and deep conversatIon with the people around you. Only 4 people optimizes the experience. Sato the instructor was amazing!! Thank you!!
Amazing experience. Food was delicious. Good conversation and learned a lot about making sushi and ramen. Can’t wait to try making the recipe at home after we get back from our trip.

Sato was a great host and explained everything quite comprehensive. She and Taka made us feel very comfortable. She even created a veggie ramen for me on short notice as I am vegetarian. It was a pleasure and I can highly recommend this cooking class.
The experience was amazing! Sato was very welcoming and knowledgeable on sushi and ramen, she made the whole cooking class fun and unique. I am excited to re-create the recipes at home!
