Private Tour To Mt. Fuji/or Hakone (Fully Licensed Operator)

We booked a day trip to Mt. Fuji from Tokyo with Live Nippon via Viator, and our tour guide, Moon, was outstanding! Moon knew exactly where to take us for the best views of Mt. Fuji, recommended an excellent restaurant for lunch, and customized the itinerary to fit our schedule and interests. He made sure we visited all the places on our list without feeling rushed. The only minor disappointment was that we paid extra for a luxury van, but I'm not entirely sure the vehicle we received met that expectation. However, Moon more than made up for it with his exceptional service, knowledge, and attention to detail. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. I highly recommend Moon and Live Nippon to anyone looking for a memorable Mt. Fuji day trip from Tokyo!

Haseeb our tour guide and driver was wonderful! He picked us up promptly from our hotel and when we asked for him to take us to grab a coffee he was very accommodating and found us a place we could grab a coffee to go. He was very helpful in guiding us in the best way to spend our day at Mt. Fuji and even when running late at the end of the day he took us to our last stop to see the “peace” Tori I gate. We would highly recommend Haseed and the Mt. Fuji day.

Mirza was an excellent tour guide! He was very friendly and drove us safely. He was able to make adjustments on the fly to accommodate our needs. We wanted to check out certain spots of Mt Fuji that wasn’t a part of the original tour and he happily made changes! We left at 7am and returned at 4:30pm. Beating out traffic! Highly recommend this tour to others.

A day trip to Mount Fuji and Kona is highly recommended.The trip to Mount Fuji and Hakone with our driver-guide, Israr, is highly recommended. I suggest asking for Israr specifically—you’re guaranteed to have a fantastic and enjoyable day!

Petteri was an excellent, knowledgeable and creative tour guide for our day in the Mt Fuji area. When the weather wasn’t cooperating, he adjusted our itinerary on the fly so that we could still have a great experience. We ended up at multiple destinations that were unexpected but equally magical. This tour was a highlight of our trip so far and we’d absolutely book another experience with Petteri!

It was raining all the time but still a good tour. We didn’t see Mt Fuji due to the weather so all view point was non existent.

Unfortunately, this tour fell well short of expectations, especially for the price. Our driver arrived nearly two hours late due to a reported vehicle issue, which disrupted our itinerary and meant encountering longer lines. The replacement vehicle was uncomfortable, particularly for the long drive back, and left us with back pain. Later, our driver left us at a remote village and was unresponsive when we messaged him for pickup. We eventually had to call him, and the experience contributed to our decision to cut the tour short. We were also disappointed that he took only one photo of us together throughout the entire day, despite this being one of the reasons we booked a private tour. Mount Fuji itself was beautiful, but the service was not what we expected from a private tour at this price point.

Tour guide was changed the night before to Areeb instead of Haan. Tour started 45 minutes late due to Areeb being caught in traffic. This is understandable and not the guide’s fault. Pros: -Comfortable van -Good drop off and pickup coordination -Good restroom communication Cons: -Not very talkative or informative -Safe journey but: -Ran a red light - blatant -Ran 140 kph in an 80 zone -Ran 120 kph in a 60 zone -Fast driver - would floor the accelerator from time to time -Got us home safely in the rain but not very talkative or informative Tour cut short due to windy road conditions prevented us from driving to the last stop Scheduled: 10 hours Actual: 7.5 hours

We had a wonderful experience on our private Mount Fuji tour and were lucky with the weather so we could enjoy the views of it from different spots and angles. Our guide Maz was friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the day, making the whole experience comfortable and stress-free. We were able to explore beautiful spots at our own pace, take plenty of photos, and enjoy the stunning scenery without feeling rushed.

It is a good tour. Traveller should prepare an itinerary beforehand. It helps based on weather and driver inputs. Maz looked after us and took good care of our bags too. His suggestions of activities and restaurant places were good.

The service is impeccable as is the communication before the day of the booked activity. Our Driver Ali was delightful, sharing local knowledge and taking us to wonderful places away from mass crowds . He could not have been any more considerate . Although it was cloudy on our day out to Fuji-san , we got to enjoy the whole Mt Fuji area. Thank you Ali for a wonderful experience and all the laughs!

Haan (The Legend) was outstanding! The ride out toward Fuji, Saiko lake and the boat ride on Lake Kawaguchi was beautiful. Sake tasting, Japanese BBQ and the Flower Road gardens were unreal!

Areeb was a fantastic guide! This is our first trip to Japan and I highly recommend this specific tour. It was flexible - which allowed us to structure the tour for what views Fuji allowed. When we set our start time at 7:30, I was glad to see the tour company push back and tell us they recommended earlier. They couldn’t have been more correct, as it felt the crowds were chasing our group the whole day. The change allowed us to not waste time and get great pictures with limited crowds. When we met Areeb in the morning, we had a few ideas of where we might want to go and spend the most time. Areeb helped us filter through the list and most importantly pushed back with great reasoning why we should prioritize some activities over others, and he was right on all of them! Thanks again Areeb!

Great day with our great guide he was very knowledgeable of Mt Fuji.Spoke very good English drove very safely. Would highly recommend Pradhan (but we called him P) and he was our first Sherpa we've met.

A great day and TOTALLY value for money. Dan was an excellent guide and we can’t rate him highly enough. He was punctual, friendly, spoke amazing English, a careful driver, gave us plenty of itinerary options, and looked after us very, very well. Mt Fuji turned it on for us and we enjoyed the view points Dan took us to, the lunch, forest walk and saki tasting. This is a very worthwhile day, particularly if you only have one day to visit Mt Fuji and want all the hassle taken out of it.

Absolute delightful experience with Ali our private tour guide for our Mt Fuji tour. Ali was punctual for the pickup, speaks very good English & on point with recommendations that fit our needs. He also shared many interesting stories and facts about Mt Fuji and its surrounding area including the Fuji singing road :)) We were really fortunate to be able to witness and see Mt Fuji in close vicinity with its very first snow cap of 2026 & had a enjoyable day overall! Relaxing visit to Mt Fuji tourist spots with a English speaking guide, Mirza, who did a fabulous job creating the itinerary and taking us to the best places at the right time for some spectacular views of Mt. Fuji.

Loved it and highly recommend it. Bajwa was knowledgeable and so accommodating. All we knew was we wanted to "see Mt. Everest". He set us up for a day of wonderful things we didn't even know existed. We went to small local markets, saw how Japanese people outside of the big city live, climbed the steps of Chureito Pagoda, had some amazing food, and saw breathtaking views of Fuji. This was a once in a lifetime experience we would never have been able to do on our own. Thank you Bajwa - we will always remember this.

Overall, the Mt. Fuji day tour was a good experience, and we enjoyed visiting the beautiful sights. However, the itinerary felt a bit rushed at times, and we would have appreciated more time to explore and take everything in. What was disappointing was that we returned much earlier than expected, which made the rushed portions of the tour feel unnecessary. Better time management and a more balanced pace would have made the experience much more enjoyable. Overall, it was a decent tour, but there is definitely room for improvement.

It was an amazing experience. Our tour guide, Moon, was completely knowledgeable of all related with Mount Fuji and the surrounding areas, giving us perfect insight and recommendations while at the same time keeping all flexibility for us to focus on certain areas and not others, based on our preferences. He made the trip complete and very educational, taking us always to the perfect spot on each area visited.

We had a wonderful experience on our private tour of Mt. Fuji and Hakone! Our driver was very friendly, communicated well throughout the day, and made us feel safe and comfortable. The vehicle was spacious and comfortable, making the trip even more enjoyable. We got to visit several beautiful spots, and our driver even helped us take pictures along the way. The only downside was that some of the popular tourist stops became pretty crowded later in the day. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely book with them again!

We had the most wonderful private tour to Mount Fuji with David. He was absolutely incredible and put so much thought into making the day special for us. He took us to the best viewpoints, made sure we were comfortable throughout and tailored the day around what we wanted to see and do. He even rearranged our stops to make the most of the timing, so we could simply relax and enjoy ourselves. David shared so many helpful tips and went out of his way to ensure we were wonderfully looked after at the places we stopped to eat. We had a great day on our private tour guide to the Hakone area and Mt. Fuji Old Village. Our driver, Abdul, was the best! Great dining recommendation and took amazing pictures of our family. We also lucked out and he was able to take us to the side of the mountain with clear views of the summit. It was a perfect day and would highly recommend. We traveled in a group of 7 with 3 children.

Our tour started late due to car trouble which was explained to us by our driver and tour guide Ali. But overall our experience was excellent. We truly enjoyed our time visiting all the sights and we were very lucky to be able to see Mt Fuji in all its beauty. Our guide and driver Ali is very respectful and pleasant. He is knowledgeable about the area. He gave us choices on what we wanted to see and do but he also gave us good recommendations to maximize our time. We didn't feel rushed at all. Ali is a safe driver and the vehicle is clean and very comfortable. Definitely worth paying extra for comfort and the ability to manage our own time/itinerary for the day.

We went on a day trip to Mount Fuji, including a speedboat ride on the lake and a visit to the 5th Station. We were very lucky with the sunny weather, which allowed us to enjoy the whole trip and take in the beautiful views of Mount Fuji. Our guide, Areeb, was very friendly and took us to amazing places, making the day extra special. Highly recommend this experience!

It was a fantastic tour and time spent with Bajwa. The tour felt organized and customizable since it was private. He initially asked us what our must do/see items were and from there he was able to build the itinerary for the day. Thankfully we had great weather and clear skies. The van was comfortable and spacious for the 7 of us. Bajwa also recommended and brought us to a tasty restaurant to try some noodles specific for the prefecture.

Very fluent in English . Even the weather is so bad and Mt Fuji not visibly . The driver Haan still Make it a very enjoyable trip . I see Hakone shrine , pirate boat , cable car to volcano valley . Very professional and experienced guide !

Our guide Israr Iqbal was punctual, courteous and happy to help in any way. He adjusted our start time to suit traffic conditions and suggested locations that were of interest to all of us. We did not see Mt. Juji but still had a fun filled day. Israr kindly emailed me information on all sites we visited. I highly recommend Israr for your next tour, you will not regret it.

This was such a fantastic experience and a must when coming to Japan. It is a bit pricey, but absolutely worth the money. Our guide Maz was fantastic! He was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He suggested meeting earlier to bit the crowds and not only did we do that, but we also got to see Mount Fuji twice!

This was an amazing experience. Bajwa was an incredible and knowledgeable guide and customized our day for us and rearranged our schedule to maximize our chances of seeing Mt. Fuji. Highlights included a speed boat ride around the lake for majestic views of Mt. Fuji, a Sake tasting at a 300 year old Sake distillery, local ice cream in a beautiful garden with Mt. Fuji in the background, a delicious traditional Japanese lunch, and more. It was our anniversary and Bajwa went above and beyond to make it an even more special day that we’ll never forget.

We had a fabulous day trip with Jeff. As we were a group of 8 family and friends we had done our own itinerary for the day. Jeff easily accommodated our requests and adapted where necessary for the weather. We even had a few extras included as we had plenty of time in our day not to be rushed. Fun day trip from Tokyo. We were a bit unfortunate with weather as it rained all day but our driver and guide Areeb made the most of it by taking us to the nearby UNESCO sites and other areas of cultural importance. Areeb was very resourceful and during our drive to and from Mt Fuji explained the history, geology and special features of the mountain and surrounded areas.
