We had a wonderful time! Max was an outstanding tour guide. He sent me a message to let me know where to meet him and what he was wearing. He was very good at explaining everything and gave us the option to try new things.

This was a very long tour on foot and unless you have great walking shoes don’t go. I learned a lot on this tour and am sad that it’s over.
Yesterday, my wife and I had an all day private tour of Tokoyo and our guide was Firas Halioui. I can’t say enough positive things about him. He was on time and totally altered the days activities to my limited mobility. He was extremely knowledgeable about everything in Tokyo and went out of his way to ensure that we saw all the sites, tasted common food, and enjoyed ourselves. I can think of absolutely no criticism about our tour or him. We have traveled extensively throughout the world and he was definitely one of the best guides we have ever encountered. Thank you Firas.
Leon was our guide and what a rad dude. He met our group at Asakusa cultural center and took us on a whirlwind day tour of Tokyo that started off our trip to Japan in the most epic way. Leon was very knowledgeable and gave us good tips; he even recommended restaurants near taito where we were staying. It was a rainy day but Leon kept us on track and engaged. We definitely recommend this tour to everyone. He checks in before the tour, is an excellent guide, and gave fantastic recommendations.
Amir is amazing! If you ever show up to a tour and you’re thrown off by the fact that the tour guide is not a local, not from this country, give the person a chance! Amir, originally from France, was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the locations on our tour. We were so impressed and so glad he was our tour guide. He clearly loves Japan and has learned so much in his five years living here. He gave us all types of recommendations for things to do later. He was fantastic at taking photos and prompted us over and over to make sure that we got the best pictures. He was patient, gave us choices on where to go. We were a small group of four people and Amir. He let us through the subways, streets, always making sure he didn’t lose anyone. Clearly hospitality is something he is naturally good at. We highly recommend him, I suggest you ask for Amir
Our guide Amir showed us the essential areas of Tokyo with interesting insides into Japanese life and culture. He was well prepared and has a deep knowledge of Tokyo. Thank you Amir!
Wear good walking shoes and bring cash! Flor was amazing and did awesome telling us the history of the shrines we visited. Would highly suggest booking with her for a private tour!!
Hiro was an excellent tour guide, taking care of us from beginning to end. He provided excellent commentary about the sites visited. He took excellent care of our needs and answered all our questions. He is one of the best tour guides that we have ever used.
a great day spent woth our guide. he had a whole lot to share about Tokyo and showed us places we would have never gone to. Higly recommend.
Our tour guide Steven was great. Full of information and energy. Bring your best shoes. Lots of steps pushed these Old Timers to the limit.
We have a very pleasant time with Flor, she was so sweet and helpful. We learnt a lot with her and we had so much fun! I recommend this tour
Flor is a great knowledgeable tour guide, with a warm and welcoming personality—made everyone in the group feel comfortable and included.
Even though this was not our first time in Tokyo, our guide Firas took us to places we had never heard of before. We loved getting to try all kinds of senbei especially and our guide took some awesome pictures of us as well. Planning on doing the tour in Kyoto next for sure.
Firas is probably one of the best guides we have used so far in all our trips. We were just 3 of us (my wife and I, and one other lady). The tour was tailor made as we were such a small group. Firas knows the in’s and out’s of Tokyo and Japanese history! We didn’t expect to walk so much, but it was awesome! Firas is very enthusiastic and answered all the questions and spoke a lot on the history if all the places we visited. He also guided us to one of the best sushi places in Tokyo! Giving 5 stars even without thinking! Great experience overall!
Excellent tour guide Amir had a wonderful tour of the city. Would go again and recommend to family and friends
Great, fun and jam packed experience! I just had a 15 hour layover in Tokyo on my way back home to NYC from the Philippines and I really wanted to see as much as I could in a few hours. This was the perfect tour for me. Our guide, Firas, helped me so much in navigating the often confusing public transport system in Tokyo. He was very patient and helpful. Once the tour started, Firas was so fun, friendly and very knowledgeable about all the places we were seeing and then some! He took pictures for all of us and gave us so much insight into the culture and traditions. There were 2 other travelers in my group, Angel and Isaac, who were so cool. Being the only girl in the group, I felt like I had big brothers protecting me :). Saw a lot, walked a lot and had a great time! If you only have a day in Tokyo, this is the tour to do!! I’m definitely coming back and will spend more time in Japan!! 1000% recommend this tour!! Five stars!! *****
We recently took a city tour with Flip Japan and had a good time. Our guide was informative and the itinerary was well-balanced, covering a mix of historical sites and modern areas. We especially enjoyed Akihabara and Tsukiji. A great choice for first-time visitors to Tokyo!
This was exactly what I was looking for. The most unique experience that you can only have with someone who knows the city, because by ourselves it would take way too long to find out about the spots, the guide, Leon, knew where to take us after just one fast chat, He has a map with over a thousand spots ready to take us whenever we wanted to see it. I really recommend to people who wants just to enjoy the best of the town like a local and not worrying about how to get there. He also was really kind to explain us everything we needed to know about the public is transportation, in order to we continue our journey in Japan!
This tour and guide (Firas) were amazing. It turned out to be a private solo tour. That meant we could (and did) change plans in an instant. Firas was the guide, and he is exceptional. He knows the history of Japan, or Temples/Shrines, of food, and if you need, of video games and Pokemon. He started out by finding out what I had already done , so as not to repeat things. He came up with three options for tours, each very different. We started out by meeting at my hotel, at 9am. We went to the fish market and had wonderful food. We went to several temples and shrines, and he knows the history and customs of them. We went to various building tops to get a wonderful view of the city from on h!igh. We went to several markets, for food and buying things. He is passionate about food, so he knows where the better food, better prices are. Also, I had been tasked with bringing back specific gifts/items, He was very good at finding the items whether at the market or at a Pokemon Center. We ended the night at the Tokyo Metropolitan Building to watch a projection show. All in all, he was guiding me around for apprx 12 hours, which is way more than he needed to. I think he just enjoyed showing people around the city. So, wonderful tour, make sure you ask for Firas.
Malissa was our guide and showed us everything we had to see in Tokyo and Shinjuku, especially hidden gems that helped us experience authentic Japanese local experiences! She even gave us recommendations for our personal dinners. It was such a valuable experience as it was our first time in Japan and it helped us navigate through the neighborhoods of Shinjuku! This tour is a must do for your first time in Tokyo and learning all the things to do in Japan from a local!
The guide was very kind and knowledgable. I appreciated how he was able to adapt to crows and/or any delays or issues. It was a lot of fun!
Originally this was suppose to be a Tokyo tour but me and my fiancé were already staying in Tokyo for a week when this tour was previously booked before leaving on our trip. We had already seen majority of what the tour offered. But luckily- Firas, our fantastic tour guide, had reached out and asked us questions on what we liked and what we have done and he was super flexible and had gave us a fun and exciting alternative! He offered us to give us a full day tour to Kamakura and Enoshima which are small countryside cities outside of Tokyo. We did not regret it one bit, he truly made this tour feel more personal and heartfelt! This was not just a tour but a once in a lifetime adventure/journey with Firas!! We are so lucky we got to have Firas as our guide. Extremely knowledgable- knew where he was going, answered any questions or informed us cool historical facts. Kamakura was rich with traditional culture, we got to experience Komachi St. shopping (please try Sugoi Honey especially the yuzu + honey, the cheese and meat deep fried coquettes, Giraffa curry and cheese bread, and the most delicious and yummy Japanese beef sushi which was wagyu beef sushi and included some packages included kamakura’s special baby sardines) & the price was unbeatable for the sushi we got! It would have costed us a fortune at Tsukiji fish market. We also got to experience Hamimangu Shrine and even got to attend a matcha tea ceremony for free (a special ceremony happened earlier that day at the shrine so we lucked out!) The train was so cute and for all my anime lovers out there, it was even featured in the anime “Slam Dunk.” We had the Great Buddha statue nearby, less than 5 minutes in the cute train. Me and my fiancé were at a loss for words when we saw the Great Buddha statue. It was definitely a sight to be seen. If we thought Kamakura was anything special, Enoshima is hard to describe with just words. You must experience Enoshima in person. Enoshima was a beautiful island along the Shonan coast of Kanagawa where you could see the ocean. It offered the famous Enoshima’s Iwaya caves that was a must-see and do while in Enoshima. On the island, there is the Enoshima Sea Candle which is an observation deck tower that gives you a whole view of the island and the water. And the shrines were absolutely breathtaking, Firas was so nice to know that we were newly engaged- and so he brought us to Enoshima shrine’s “Dragon Love Bell.” A romantic hilltop bell that couples can ring following an ancient Dragon legend lore of everlasting love and had padlock walls filled with love messages. We will never forget this life adventure but we also will never forget Firas. We truly were so lucky to have such a passionate and kind human being to be our guide. You can tell his love for Japan is strong, and its his mission to try to make you experience and fall in love with Japan as well. He went back to find our lost umbrella that we had forgotten at the love bell and he even picked up inconsiderate strangers’ trash to help keep Japan clean. We left this tour not only with tremendous memories but we also got to make a new, trustworthy and great friend. Thank you so much for everything Firas!!! Please book with him, you will be in for a terrific adventure like us!
The most memorable experience we had in Japan is joining the one-day tour and meeting our tour guide Firas. His super friendly, knowledgeable of the history and cities/culture of Japan. Unlike other tours I've join, Firas made our tour experience fun and is very attentive to ensure we are taken care of and comfortable.
The second time in Japan, we wanted to make the most out of the short time we were going to spend in Tokyo, and we decided to resort to a professional team, who could drive me and my partner through the intricate map of this wonderful city, satisfying our architectural interests, but leaving aside the most iconic sights, which we had already visited during our previous time there. So we set forth towards the buildings that made Tokyo such a special place to visit for us: the Western Art Museum by Le Corbusier, The Tokyo Art Museum by Tadao Ando, The Hokusai Museum by Kazuyo Sejima, the stunning Nezu Museum and the most important buildings along Omotesando, homes of luxury brands but often masterpieces of architecture in themselves. What else to say? Leon was very nice and great as a guide, scheduling a customized tour that made the most out of our given time, and leading us around Tokyo all day long, letting us carefreely appreciate even more the beauties of this city. The crystal blue sky on that clear November day added the perfect touch, but I suppose that Leon did not have a hand in that… or did he?
Our Tokyo tour with Leon was absolutely fantastic! His guidance led us through the city’s old and new aspects, imparting valuable skills like purchasing subway tickets and suggesting additional trips. Beyond all this, what we liked most was Leon himself: he’s friendly and really funny, he knows a lot about Japanese culture and traditions. Hope to come back to Tokyo and to meet him again :)
Flip Japan Tours was exceptional! Our guide, curated a perfect blend of iconic landmarks and hidden gems. From the bustling streets of Shibuya to serene moments at Meiji Shrine, every stop was personalized to my interests. The guide's insights into Japanese culture added depth to the experience, making it unforgettable. Highly recommend this tour for anyone seeking an authentic Tokyo adventure!
The experience was gret. I was an only traveller and the agency and the staff were ready for my requests. They were prepared about everything. Very enjoyable experience.
I loved the experience. Asakusa is mostly snubbed by more popular destinations such as Shibuya and Harajuku. However, this area is so much more than its temple. Sure, it is impressive - albeit crowded at times - but it retains charm. Especially at cherry blossom season. The area around the temple is where you will see the most authentic daily life. Something that without a tour would be difficult to get.
Wow what an amazing day i spent me and my family with our wonderful guide! We definitely cannot see all these wonderful places without him! We visited almost everywhere in Tokyo: tsukiji fish market and we tried the best sushi ever, the beautiful and colorful Shinjuku city, Shibuya, the old town of Tokyo and more.... Our guide took care of us and my kids liked him! Thank you very much for an unforgettable day!
I highly recommend this tour, especially for the first time visitor to Tokyo. We saved a lot of time trying to figure out where to go and what to see. After the tour, we know which area to spend more time during our remaining time in Tokyo. Our guide, Saya, is friendly, knowledgable about the city and provided us a lot of recommendation on restaurants and places to see that is not part of the itinerary!
Ravisha was great, gave us an informative walk, without becoming excessive, to get to know the main areas of Tokyo, as well as Japanese history and culture. It is a tour that involves a lot of walking, and we had a hot day, but Ravisha was very careful to point out places to get water to keep us well hydrated. We had a great time and learned a lot, and we have group photos to remember this recommendable experience.
