A really fun Kabuki experience. Good for anyone young or young-at-heart who is excited by a nice performance with great lighting. We found this to be much more enjoyable than traditional kabuki shows.

This was advertised as a combined kabuki and ninja experience. It seriously reminded me of a show put on by middle schoolers in their parents basement. Plus the show itself was only about 15 minutes. The costumes didn't fit with kuboki and the actors didn't have masks. I did like the graphics shown on the screens in the background. We don't have kids, but the families with kids in the room seemed to enjoy it, especially the ninja training stuff they were doing when we left.
It was an entertaining show. There is some audience participation. I would recommend it if you have and extra hour and a half to spend in Shinjuku.
Great performance arts show, they have a bar in the back so you can enjoy a drink with the show. Great experience, right next to our hotel: hotel Gracery. Thank you!
Well organized and educational. Staff was very polite and accommodating as we had a large group. I would recommend this show.
Just understand that this show is for tourists. The actors are OK, but it is not an authentic Japanese experience.
Needs some narration. Drinks very expensive
This was a fun bit to experience. You can tell this was focused on families and young ones but my husband and I still enjoyed it. This actually inspires me to go and expereince a traditional Kabuki.
It was very good. The ninjas fought with real katanas and the photo session was great during the photos. You got to hold a real katana
Great show and wonderful atmosphere! Everyone was so nice and friendly!
Amazing Kabuki show that was interesting to children. Amazing show!
I REALLY wanted to like this experience. My family was on a high from an elite sumo show the night before and we wanted to do another show during our Tokyo trip. This was highly rated so it seemed like an easy decision. It was kind of boring pretty quickly. It’s billed as an 80 minute show but it’s more like 50 minutes and then some audience participation parts. In that main 50 minute show, there isn’t any fighting for the first 38 minutes. It’s just music and filler. Once they start fighting, it’s very unrealistic. They don’t clang swords or anything. They explain that it’s against kabuki tradition to have the prop swords touch, but it makes for a bad show. I found out later in the night that my wife didn’t like it either. My kids said it had too much music. Beers were $10 which is higher than most of Tokyo. The people were really nice, and I hope they do well, but we just didn’t enjoy it. I wouldn’t do it again or recommend it.
Trust me I so wanted to like this show. It was NOTHING like the advertising you see on any of the commercial at all. The first half of the show was mediocre at best, the guys playing the drums were good. The second half was the MC making jokes and having pic sessions. I wanted this to end so badly or leave without embarrassing them. Please heed my warning to avoid at all cost. I know it was a tourist trap but tbh watching the advertisement of the show it looked very good. Totally deceiving and lame….NiiiinnnnnnJaaaaaaa! But if your want to waste your time and money don’t say I don’t warn you. I honestly wanted to ask for my money back.
Wow. The show was very captivating and the artists very talentele. Congratulation!
Really interesting and entertaining
Amazing time and a great show. Nice, fun way to round out a day.
Great escape from the heat, the 13year old was a little cynical but we enjoyed it all the same. Great stage show and impressive drumming
Beautiful music, wonderful to see a bit of history with the costumes. The Tiger Ninja’s facial expressions were very good! How exciting to be able to get a group photo at the end!
This was great experience....amazing cast and great show. Interactive and love the photo session allowed with the cast. We received popcorn and even souvenir ninja socks. We had a great time. Definitely recommend!
It’s very much like a corny Vegas show. Lots of theatrics. Drummers were the best part. They d9 sell these little cheese and sausage snacks that were yum!
Its full on but worth it and worth the money
The workers were so nice and accommodating even after I booked the wrong day. The venue was top tier, the special effects and lights were 10/10. Fog on floor, drums, presentation. The first show was a bit cringy, looked like a possession. I saw a family get up and leave because of this. They didn’t understand the culture and the hand signs. My family enjoyed it!
Fully recommend to anyone visiting Japan, great show, wonderful attention, talented acrobat artists + you get a sense of a part of japanese martial arts' traditions mixed with theatrical performance, while in the middle of such a big city as Tokyo. Best cost/quality relation, totally worth it
The show is broken up into several Acts: 1st act is drums. 2nd act set the story. I want to take the moment to highlight two key factors: first and foremost the lieutenant ninja is a fantastic martial artist and she was a joy to watch perform. In addition the strobe light fight made the show for me. This show is somewhat subjective: if you get past the slow start in my opinion, you get an excellent kabuki show with good costumes and production value, and actors who are putting in a lot of hard work. The slow start does detract a little bit, but I do not want to make this sound like a bad thing; this is an excellent show and you will enjoy it.
Great experience. Come a bit early to get your complimentary popcorn and order a drink. The whole ambience is great. The show is very immersive and has an intimate venue feel. Bathrooms are clean and look cool. Beautiful show. Amazing host who gave plenty of time to take a free picture with the cast if requested.
Great show! The location was easy to find, and it is well signed from the street. After scanning in, I was given a short brochure and a coupon for free popcorn. There’s lots of stairs, so keep an eye out for level changes while looking around. I grabbed a drink to go with my popcorn and got a free coaster to go with it. The show started promptly and it was high energy and engaging. Music and lights to go along with everything. There was a short demo at the end, and then they had the opportunity for pictures with everyone. I had a great time, and would recommend it. Minor note - there are parts that are very loud, if that is a sensitive area for you.
They get 5 stars reviews because they give a pair of socks when you write a review and you have to show them the review. Not a great show. Looks like the free shows in all inclusive resort
I absolutely enjoyed every second of this show! It's been the highlight of my Japan trip! The show was so interesting, intense, a visual treat - with interesting culture references. Bravo to all actors - very charismatic, talented. Highly recommend!
This was super lame! It’s all pretend sword fights they never actually touch swords it’s just a bunch of dude running around doing somersaults. Best parts are the first 5 minutes of drums, and the 1 woman in the show. it’s all down hill from there, no climax, no understandable plot, snore fest after the drums. Was tacky and the 2nd half of the show was not a show at all, it was having the audience and kids interact with the MC and more fake pretend plastic swords. This is a tourist trap, I don’t even see how kids would enjoy this let alone paying adults.
It's a great, fun interactive experience. Just make sure you get to your location on time. Our Google map took us to the wrong location a few times
Great theatrical show with story telling through drumming, Ninja and dance, really enjoyed to sit bavk and relax and watch this show, great they had audience participation in the second half.
Wasn't great. There were three sections; a drumming section at the beginning, a story in the middle, and an interactive session at the end. The drumming was interesting; the story was kind of silly and not very compelling, and by the time we got to the interactive session I just wasn't in the mood any more. My wife thought the whole thing was terrible.
It is fun theatrical show. Most of it is entertaining.Kids may enjoy the show since it has sword fight and Ninja fights.
We read mixed reviews and decided to try this. The drums and acrobatics were very good, but it was very touristy. Not sure I would recommend to a friend or family member.
Drummers are amazing! Show must shorter than advertised as last part is for guests to interact. Some parts would be scary for young children.
Very disappointing designed for kids. We went to see Kabuki and there wasn’t any. A half hour was spent for photo opportunities. Would NOT recommend this show.
The location was very convenient. We enjoyed the show and liked that we got to take pictures with the performers
It was good fun!!!Special theater play
Enjoyable but would like more explanation about what Ninja was. Drummers were amazing. Best part. Good show overall.
The Nine Finger Seal session is interesting. Overall, it’s a good showcase of culture, music, dance, martial arts and storytelling without dialogue
The show was great for the price. The story line and the show was something I enjoyed. Reservation is recommended because it’s not a big theatre. No food is sold there just drinks. And at the end of the show we were able to take a group photo with the cast.
This was very educational, interactive, and a great way to experience the culture. I would highly recommend. I loved the period costumes, the drums, the music, the dance, the popcorn, and the opportunity to buy drinks.
This is really an event for kids but they don't advertise it that way. The occasional acrobatics and drumming were cool but most of it fell flat. If you're over 16, f It's probably not for you
Great show, good energy and family friendly.
Lovely show. Amazing performances. Must do when visiting Tokyo. Concise and family friendly (free for kids under 6) making it easy to fit into your schedule when on a shorter trip. We really enjoyed the orchestration drums and lights that enhanced the excellent performances.
Wonderful experience watching the show. Had wonderfull time. Recommend for everyone kids and family.
This was a great to experience a little bit of the Kabuki culture. My kids were expecting something a bit more ninja/samurai and action, but were a bit disappointed when it was lacking in that facet. but overall the experience and story were phenomenal.
Nice ninja and drum show for kids, but disappointing for adults. The Kabuki part was a zero. Nothing to it. We wasted our time and money.
Lots of loud drums, shrill music and flashing lights but the show itself wasn’t very enjoyable. My kids wanted to leave early but we thought it would be poor manners.
So much fun! Tour guides were very nice and knowledgeable of Tokyo. They made us feel warm and safe. We learned so much!
