Nikko Private Tour With Guide (From Tokyo)

Our day tour to Nikko was a favourite for all of us! Imran was our guide for the day and he did a great job of looking after our group of 7! We were lucky to have beautiful autumn colours in the trees. Everywhere we looked was full of colour and beauty! We even sighted some snow monkeys! I can highly recommend this tour to Nikko! Imran is amazing!

We had a wonderful time exploring Nikko, Japan! 🇯🇵 The sightseeing was amazing, and the natural beauty of Nikko was absolutely breathtaking. The mountains, greenery, and especially the waterfalls were beautiful and made the whole experience even more special. Our guide, Imran, was excellent and made the trip enjoyable, while our driver, Yu, was great throughout the entire day. From the moment they picked us up from our hotel until they safely returned us, everything was smooth, comfortable, and well organized. We got to visit all the important places in Nikko and really enjoyed discovering its beautiful nature and scenery. A big thank you to Imran and Yu for making our day so memorable. We truly appreciated their kindness, hospitality, and professionalism. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Japan who wants to explore Nikko! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I took this one-day trip to explore the Nikko and the neighboring area. This was a wonderful experience. My guide was Imran, he was very knowledgeable explaining the area and history of Nikko, and also he was very easy to talk. This adventurous day would stay with me for ever. I highly recommend this tour .

Driver was on-time, but tour guide was 30 minutes late. The tour guide was nice but we missed a destination.

It was a pleasure to spend the day visiting incredible sites with our guide Imran. From shrines, to waterfalls and an amazing view during a delicious lunch, we really enjoyed our day. Imran gave us just the right amount of context and history, took some great pictures and was very accommodating making sure we were always comfortable. Driver Yu was also very professional and accommodating. It is a long tour but definitely worth it! A++

Nikko National Park Day tour was a great experience with Imran, a very competent tour guide full of knowledge and experience. Some great stops, Shinkyo, the Scared Bridge at Nikko, Toshogu Shrine and Rinnoji temple before heading up the mountain road to see Akechidaira Observation Area lookout with wonderful views to Lake Chuzenji. We had a good lunch overlooking waterfalls and later visited Kegon Falls and the most impressive Tamozawa Imperial Villa. There were some wonderful weeping cherry blossoms in and around Nikko which were a delight. An unfortunate accident resulted in Imran and our driver assisting in getting some medical attention for our friend which was greatly appreciated. Thank you Imran for a most interesting day surrounded by some beautiful natural wonders in a peaceful environment.

Fantastic tour! Nikko was gorgeous—one of the best things we ended up doing in Japan. Moon was a wonderful guide and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. We were concerned about traffic from Tokyo, but the drive was smooth at about two hours. Highly, highly recommend!

Super day trip to Nikko with all its charms: Panoramic Ropeway cable car, lake, imperial villa, shrines & temples. Khan, our English speaking driver & guide was simply outstanding and went out of his way to make our day!

Imran was an excellent guide. The car was super clean and new, the driving was very careful and safe. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, he was very helpful in explaining the history and teaching us about the culture. He went out of his way to take pictures and accommodated any extra stops we needed to make. This was our first time to Japan and I was nervous booking tours but rest assured you will have an amazing experience.

The variety of natural and religious sites was amazing. The settings were mesmerizing. Our guide, Imran who I had specifically requested for my group of 8, was exceptional as the guide & driver. Not only did he have the historical knowledge of the sites, we also learned so much about the cultural, social and economic changes that have taken place in Japan over our recent history (post 1980’s). It was a long day but I would not have wanted it to change in any manner. Imran was very willing to do minor adjustments in the itinerary and always had frequent very clean rest stops.

Frequent travelers who enjoy private tours. The trip to Nikko is one of the best we have ever been on. Imran was right on time and arrived in a luxury van. He was knowledgable and pointed out significant attractions. The tour was ten hours and I've never been on a tour that covered so many attractions. The ride feom Tokyo to Nikko is about 2 hours, but was very comfortable. Zeeshan was knowledgeable and accommodating and a pleasure to tour with.

We originally signed up for a English speaking driver for all day tour of Nikko with Thetokyotravel, before our trip was offered a guide for a fee. Imran was the guide and he made the tour exceptional and complete with his knowledge. We were a party of three and their touring vanwas deluxe and comfortable. I would highly recommend Thetokyotravel.

The tour delivered far more than expected. This was our first experience with a private tour and we would definitely book with this group again. They went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable throughout the trip, made the effort to understand our group’s interests and they even added a hidden gem stop at the end of the tour because of our interests. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. A couple of notes: Bring cash- many of the stops only accept cash, so you’ll want to make sure you have enough. Don’t schedule something for after this tour, as traffic back to Tokyo can be unpredictable and it’s not something the tour can control.

We spent an unforgettable day in Nikko thanks to our guide Moon and our driver Imran. From the very first moment they proved professional, kind and attentive to every detail, making the whole experience organized and special. The day was cold but sunny fortunately, we also met the snow and it was magical. The organizers chose the trips with great intelligence, choosing the best times for each stage: thanks to this we never found too many crowds. During the day we visited some of Nikko's most iconic and spectacular places: Kegon Falls, Lake Chuzenji, Tamozawa Imperial Villa, Toshogu Shrine, Shinkyo Bridge, Kanmangafuchi Abyss and Ryuzu Falls, explaining everything in an engaging way. Another detail that we loved is that Moon also helped us take wonderful photos in the most beautiful viewpoints: real photo spots that we might not have found on our own. Imran was an excellent driver: safe driving, always on time and very kind. Thanks to them we lived a perfect day, full of beauty, culture and incredible landscapes. We absolutely recommend this experience to anyone who wants to discover Nikko in the best possible way. Moon and Imran made our day very special. Thank you so much!
