We had a private tour of Nikko with Haider and everything went smoothly. He was friendly, well organized and made the day easy and relaxing. Good way to see Nikko without the stress of planning transport and logistics. Recommended!

This was a wonderful day trip to the beautiful Nikko area. We saw the stunning autumn colours and the magnificent shrine. We were picked up and dropped back to our hotel. Our guide explained everything to us so the day ran very smoothly. I highly recommend this tour for a wonderful day trip from Tokyo.
We had a wonderful experience with Qasim on our tour to Nikko. He took us to all the nicest sights and was very knowledgeable about the history. It was such a beautiful area! I very much recommend Qasim.
Our guide Qasim is friendly, helpful, good in communication and delivered above and beyond. We could cover most of the attractions in the 10 hour activity, despite most places crowded due to a local holiday.
JJ took us on the Nikko tour, he is very well familiar with the area, and drove safely and got us from location to location. He was flexible with what we wanted to see and made those modifications
We had a fantastic tour with Ali our guide who drove us to and back from Nikko in great comfort - bridge, shrines, nature, waterfalls. We started with the key locations early morning: Shinkyo Bridge, World Heritage sites including Rinnoji temple, Sorindo, Toshogu shrine, Futarasan shrine, Kanmangafuchi abyss, with enough time to visit fully and never felt rushed at any point. We then drove up the Irohazaka road very smoothly, up to the Iruzu waterfalls, lake Chunzenji, and wrapped it all up in great style with the Kegon falls. I highly recommend Ali for this trip and any other daytrip outside Tokyo (Fuji, Hakone, etc).
Spent a wonderful day with our driver/guide, Umer who was knowledgeable and very helpful. He shared the history and significance of everything we saw, particularly the temples and shrines. His vehicle was spotless and the drive was a comfortable one. Highly recommended and would definitely use him again. Thank you so much Umer!
We had a great day with our guide JJ, touring the lake, waterfalls and mountains of the Nikko area, plus a visit to the Tosho-gu Shrine after lunch. Traffic was heavy in the area, and sites were busy, but JJ did his best to get us around quickly and we never felt rushed.
Ali was our driver for our trip to Nikko, and he was absolutely excellent. He was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He showed us all the spots and gave us plenty of time to enjoy each stop without ever making us feel rushed. He also kindly took photos of us so we could capture and cherish the memories of our trip. We had a wonderful experience with Ali and would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Nikko!
We had wonderful trip to Nikko with JJ. He was on time , professional and good host.
A Wonderful Day Trip to Nikko – Highly Recommended! We had a wonderful trip to Nikko, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. We booked and paid several months in advance, and the whole process was perfectly organised. Communication by email was excellent, and we received clear information about the itinerary and the sights we could visit. Our driver, J.J., was punctual, friendly, and professional, and he was happy to accommodate our wishes. When it started raining just as we arrived in Nikko, he adjusted the itinerary to help us avoid the worst of the weather. On the way back, he even made a stop for coffee at a highway service area, a thoughtful touch we really appreciated. We were very happy with the entire experience and would highly recommend this excursion to anyone wishing to visit Nikko, a true gem of Japan’s Edo period.
Fascinating tour combining great scenery and lots of religious and political history. Umer very knowledgeable and helpful. Good driver. Highly recommended
We had a fabulous day. Umer was very knowledge and looked after us very well. We got to see so much but did not feel rushed at all. It was a really fun, informative and relaxing way to see Nikko. Highly recommend this trip and our guide Umer to anyone.
I had a great time exploring all the temples and shrines in nikko getting to see the waterfalls and lakes together Ali was a great driver and guide. If you are taking the trip, then do it(4
We had a fantastic trip to Nikko. Our guide Ali was excellent, very professional, friendly & knowledgeable. He scheduled all the stops very well, so that we could see all the sights without being hurried, & went out if his way to be helpful. Nikko is truly a must-visit place with its combination of natural beauty & world-heritage sites. The weather was lovely & we were fortunate enough to visit as rhe leaves were changing colour, which made for some stunning sights. The highlight was an excellent Japanese lunch in a restaurant while enjoying a view of thr Kyuzu waterfall just a few feet away.
Our guide and driver was Ali. He was at our hotel waiting for us at the designated time. Ali was knowledgeable, friendly, a good driver and met all our needs. Thank you, Ali for providing a great day for our first day in Japan.
Good experience, easy pick up and clean
Super nice having a private car and gift to go see Nikko. Totally recommend.
What a fabulous day! No issues with pickup and our guide was really friendly and informative. We only had 1 day to spare and would never have seen all the beautiful places around Nikko without him. After 2 weeks of getting ourselves around Japan, today was easy and relaxed. Worth every cent.
JJ was very informative in the local area. He was also able to modify our tour to incorporate the Honda Collection Hall. The Shrine in Nikko is the most impressive we have seen, beautiful detail. Thank you for a great day!
We had a great day with our tour guide, Umer! He was great to talk to, very knowledgeable and was very helpful as an English speaking tour guide. Definitely worth the money, got us to all the spots we needed to go in good time, and we were much closer to the attractions than we would have been if we had chosen a bus !
Great vehicle and service and knowledgeable tour guide. We had a lovely day.
Comfortable vehicle, plenty of space, The day was tailored to our needs, with excellent information. Great way to experience Japan.
We had a really good day visiting Nikko with our guide Umer who was friendly with good English to explain all the sites we visited.
Our guide Qasim was a very friendly, chatty guy. Was a safe driver and gave us background information about the sites we were seeing. Whole thing a 10/10, everything hit!!!!
We had JJ as our guide, from the start to the end he was brilliant. He shared lots of intresting information at every place we visited. He allowed us to go at our own pace and we never felt rushed, if we wanted to spend less time than planned at a stop he was happt to accommodate us. We found a local restaurant we wanted to go to for lunch that was very busy but this was no problem and JJ was happy to went and offered some other alternatives if we didnt want to wait. Would reccomend this trip for anyone who wants to get out do the city for a day, see some beautiful nature spots or historical shrines and temples which were stunning.
We have had a great day with JJ as our guide. JJ gave some great insights on our journey and the stops we made were beautiful and varied - we stopped at waterfalls, a temple and shrine and a lake. JJ was very flexible with timings for lunch so we could go to the restaurant we really wanted to try in Nikko. The tour was really well led and we would highly recommend spending the day seeing Nikko with JJ as your guide! Nikko is absolutely stunning and was a much enjoyed break for us from the busyness of Tokyo. A great day.
I recommend this trip , everything was well organized , the driver was polite and cooperative , the program went in time and the natures scene was unforgettable.
This was a great day trip from Tokyo. JJ was a great guide allowing us to adjust the itinerary to suit our preferences for more time doing outdoors nature over shrines. Plenty of opportunity to stop for breaks and we managed to see deer, monkeys & Mt Fuji! Only negative was that the company at no time told us that the entrance fees were only payable in cash.
We had an incredible time visiting Nikko with JJ!!! Highly recommend him—he is friendly, knowledgable, and a great driver!!
We had a great time even with it being sooo hot in August. Our guide, JJ, was great and very personable. We would suggest this to everyone.
We spent a splendid day in the surroundings of Nikko. Our tour guide JJ was super friendly and helpful and made us feel very comfortable. The time to visit the different sites was sufficient and we didn't feel stressed. We would do it again.
What a nice day. Even with all the rain, it was so nice to get out of Tokyo for the day. The sites were all gorgeous and JJ was a gracious guide, helping make sure we stayed on track, but also never rushing us. I can only imagine how beautiful this outing would be in the autumn. Be sure to bring cash for site admissions!
JJ our driver and guide was awesome! We really appreciated his flexibility to meet us after we checked out of our hotel at Lake Chuzenji Nikko (instead of Tokyo). It was very easy communicating with the tour company and JJ later on WhatsApp to personalize our tour of Nikko. He also recommended a delicious ramen restaurant for lunch. During the hot summers, Nikko and especially Lake Chuzenji is a good 10-20 degrees cooler. We saw spectacular waterfalls and one of our favorite shrines in Japan, Nikko Toshogu Shrine, famous for its cedar forest and "three wise monkeys" wooden carving. Overall, we had a wonderful day touring Nikko and a relaxing drive back to Tokyo where JJ dropped us off at our hotel.
We had a great day trip to Nikko, which was a lovely change of pace from Tokyo city. Nikko is serene and a spiritual oasis with beautiful vistas, lakes, waterfalls, temples and shrines. There really is so much to see, and our guide Jay Jay was excellent. He provided us with helpful information along the way, teaching us about Japanese culture, and the ride was very comfortable and safe (even with the heavy rain on the way back). I would definitely recommend this day trip to couples or families that want to experience Japan's natural beauties.
I had a wonderful day touring with Umer. Throughout the trip, he shared fascinating history about the places we visited and even gave us great recommendations for other places to explore. He was also incredibly patient, kind, and considerate with my 6-year-old, which made the experience even more enjoyable for our family. Umer was professional, friendly, and flexible throughout the day. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and reliable guide, and I would gladly book another tour with him in the future.
Trip perfectly organized in all its features and much flexibility given to us. Highly recomanded!
Awesome tour! I highly recommend this experience. This tour is pact with a great number of location the are must see when visiting Japan. Also, is very convenient, you get pickup and drop off at your hotel. The driver was great and very helpful. If you are lucky you get JJ as your driver. JJ is very knowledgeable and professional.
Very beautiful nature and temples! Nice guide, he makes sure you get to see everything you want to see. Definitely worth it!!
good experience and a good driver
What a wonderful experience! I would highly recommend this tour- beautiful vehicle, kind and knowledgeable driver and incredible order of special spots to visit.
This was our 12th day in Japan, and first tour. We managed to see everything everywhere we went without a guide but we wanted the ease of getting to Nikko which is a bit more remote. The trip started with us asking about the vehicle as we paid 200$ CAD more for the « executive » service. We were therefore surprised to see that this was a 15 year old Toyota van with captain seats in the back. The explanation we got was that we would’ve gotten a regular seat in the back without that « executive » part. We were also shocked to not have a Japanese guide. We are here to visit a country and would have loved to have a native of the region to show us around. The day started at 8am with convenient pick up at our Airbnb. We then drove 2.5h to Nikko with a stop at a convenience store. Our guide did speak with us a but he had a strong accent and spoke very low so difficult to understand. The first stops were the Lake and the waterfall. The lake was not much unfortunately given the weather but the waterfall was amazing. However our guide did not come in with us and it became clear that this was more of a taxi ride with multiple stops than an actual guided tour. We then went to an amazing shrine and temple. We were about to skip (!!!) the temple when I asked to go in and the guide seemed shocked as if no one has ever asked to go in before. It’s a good thing I did as after we paid to see it we witness the three amazing Buddha statues inside and it may have been the best temple we saw in Japan. We then made our way up to the shrine which was another wonder. Tokugawa Ieyasu’s laying ground and an amazing temple/shrine. It was again difficult to understand our guide who kept saying « Leeasshoo ». I can understand accents but as a French person speaking English in Japan, I feel like the guide should be able to say the name properly. We then went for lunch which was the worse meal we had in our entire trip. We were told to grab a picture of the red bridge in Nikko on our way out of the restaurant. We had left our umbrellas in the car prior to lunch and coming out we saw heavy rain so we attempted to go get them. The guide and the van were nowhere to be seen. We texted him and searched for him for 10 minutes in heavy downpour before he showed up. Following that, we went to two more waterfalls which were nice and then were driven back to Tokyo. Our « guide » tried to ask us many times to not leave him a bad review despite the awful day we had. Long story short, Nikko is amazing but don’t overpay for this one!
We were so thankful to have had Umer as our tour guide. He was punctual, flexible, but above all, very knowledgeable. Umer was able to converse with us on a wide variety of topics, not just the sites we visited. I would highly recommend using his service again.
We would not have seen Kegon Falls or the lake if we had tried this on our own. Traveling with Raja made the day more relaxing and allowed us to see everything we wanted and more. Toshogu shrine was beautiful! Futarasan shrine and Rinnoji temple were great to see as well. It was nice to try tuba for lunch. Having Raja explain and take care of everything made this day relaxing and enjoyable while still seeing a lot.
Knowledgeable guide and top-rate door to door service. Most highly recommend!
Our guide was knowledgeable and his car was clean and comfortable.
Be sure to bring cash for entrance fees and if you get car sick prepare for the 48 turns going up and down from waterfall. Totally worth it. Bring light jacket, phone charger and stops are provided for restroom and snacks . Van is extremely comfortable and driver is excellent and knowledgeable. The tour is a wonderful experience and opportunity to see Nikko!!
Umer was more than an excellent driver. He educated us, took photos, and created a seamless day for our family. We whole-heartedly recommend this tour and driver.
Raja struck the perfect balance between sharing history and context and just letting us take in the scenery. At Nikko, the Toshogu Shrine and the surrounding mountains were stunning, and having someone who knew exactly when and where to go meant we skipped the worst of the crowds. What really set the experience apart was the flexibility. When we wanted to linger somewhere or change the pace, it was never a problem. Took and shared great photos too.
Raja was an excellent tour guide, making visiting the World Heritage area of Nikko easy. Had a great day!
