Was an absolutely lovely day trip from Tokyo to Nikko. Umer was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions! Would Highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves nature, culture, and history. A few points require climbing up numerous stairs to see everything, so wear good shoes, and pack some water. Also, Umer reached out the night before our tour via WhatsApp (which missed since I don't frequently use WhatsApp), and then we were able to communicate through WhatsApp throughout the day as needed while we were off on our own.

Our driver Umer was punctual, knowledgeable and gave us plenty of time at all stops. Very nice and clean vehicle. Great mix of nature and temples/shrines in a casual pace. One stop out/one stop back at top notch locations. Would recommend lunch being arranged earlier than 3:45pm and a more Japanese experience rather than a cafeteria.

JJ is a true professional very kind and patient. You ll be lucky to get him. His English is perfect he is very knowledgeable of Japanese history and current affairs. Happy to answer all sorts of questions but also allowed us to sleep on the way to and back from Nikko. The vehicle was spacious clean with wide windows all around. We had great weather and enjoyed the amazing temples and shrines. JJ bought our tickets while we visited the gardens so we avoided a busy line. This time of year, the drive time to and from Tokyo is closer to four hours rather than the two hours described in the marketing materials. Our tour guide, JJ, did a wonderful job under difficult circumstances.

We were so happy to be able to visit nikko on our short trip to Tokyo. With the help of JJ we drove there and back in one day. Pleasant journey and a very safe driver. Nikko is so beautiful and a must see place in Japan. We had several stops and some we had a chance to walk and explore. We would do this again!

We booked the one-day trip to Nikko from Tokyo. JJ picked my family up from our hotel and took us to all places. I was initially going to take train and bus but turns out hiring JJ was the right decision. We were able to hit all spots in time before returning to Tokyo by 5:30pm. We booked this tour last minute because our plans changed due to a cyclone and we wanted to leave the city for some nature. The tour was accepted right away and we received contact from Umer. He was on time and reached out to us right away. The whole tour we felt we could customize the way we wanted. We weren’t rushed. We loved the lake, waterfalls and most notability the shrines and temples in the afternoon. Wow just wow. Nikko is a must visit spot outside of Tokyo. Umer let us pick our lunch location and we picked the Nikko Nabeya. It was my favorite place we have eaten in Japan. Most delicious hot pot meal ever. It took a long time but was totally worth it. Umer helped us still visit the stops we had left and make up the time. He even connected his phone to the Bluetooth so we could DJ all the way home with our favorite songs. It was an amazing day.

Our tour guide was prompt and knowledgeable about Nikko and the area. He picked us up directly from our hotel. We were blown away by the beauty of the Toshigu shrine and the associated history was quite interesting. The other shrines and temple were also nice. We also got to see several waterfalls and the area around Nikko is stunning.

Amazing trip from start to finish! We all had such a great time. Our guide, JJ, was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about the culture he was sharing with us. You could really feel how much he genuinely loves and lives the culture himself, which made all of his explanations even more interesting and authentic. He was also very respectful and attentive to our boundaries, making the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. The car was always spotless, spacious, and he drove very safely throughout the trip. On top of that, he knew all the best places to stop — whether for great food, beautiful pictures, or sightseeing. I was also able to book everything last minute in the evening for the very next day, which was extremely convenient. JJ was very responsive to messages and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommended!

We took this trip with Ashan to see Mount Fuji and we were not d. He made a great effort to show us a lot of viewpoints from which we could see Mount Fuji. We went up to the pagoda and Kawaguchiko. Also, we went to Mount Hakone and tried their famous black eggs! It was a great day and we really enjoyed it!

Our trip to Nikko met all expectations. Because we took the private tour with Umer, our wishes were accommodated (unlike a bus tour in a large group), we traveled very comfortably (it would have been much more stressful on our own), and we had informative and nice conversations.
