Itinerary
Mt. Fuji 5th Station At 2300 meters above sea level, offers a commanding view of the Fuji Five Lakes area below, making it a popular spot even for those who are not intent on climbing the mountain. An observation point with unobstructed views of Fujiyoshida City and Lake Yamanaka can be found at Komitake Shrine behind the shops.
Oshino Hakkai is a touristy set of eight ponds in Oshino, a small village in the Fuji Five Lake region, located between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako on the site of a former sixth lake that dried out several hundred years ago. The eight ponds are fed by snow melt from the slopes of nearby Mount Fuji that filters down the mountain through porous layers of lava for over 80 years, resulting in very clear spring water that is revered by the locals
In the past, the Kithaguchi Hongu Shrine used to be the common starting point for climbing Mount Fuji from the north. Fujiyoshida Sengen Shrine stands in a dense forest and is set off from the road by a long approach lined by stone lanterns and shaded by tall cedar trees. The shrine's red-painted buildings include a main hall dating from 1615, a dancing stage, and a few auxiliary buildings.
Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine was established in 705 at the foot of Mount Fuji. It enshrines the god of the Kai province (current Yamanashi prefecture) area. Inside the shrine grounds are 650 cherry blossom trees that bloom every spring. Visit the park located in the shrine for a breathtaking view of Mount Fuji and the goju no to the five-storied Churito pagoda. In the spring, you can see Mount Fuji and the cherry blossoms all in one view.
Lake Kawaguchiko. The best views of Mount Fuji can be enjoyed from the lake's northern shores. Among the wide range of other tourist attractions available around Lake Kawaguchiko .
Oishi Park is on the north shore of Kawaguchiko Lake. A park with a superb view of lake and Mt.Fuji at once. Various flowers bloom on the promenade along the lakeside according to the season. The park is also famous for its charcoal cone soft serves(ice cream) and small Mount Fuji replica made of 256 volcanic rocks.
The Fuji Fugaku Wind Cave is surrounded by the abundant greenery of the Aokigahara Jukai forest. Once you enter the cave, it is pleasantly cool even in summer, with an average temperature of 3℃. In the course, one can see lava shelves, rope-like lava, and ice pillars that do not melt even in summer.

Imran was absolutely amazing! He took us around to the best spots. Even though we didn’t get to see Mt. Fuji he still made sure we enjoyed ourselves and fit in all the unique places. He was very knowledgeable on Japan and its history and he was able to answer all of our questions. I would highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a well rounded experience with a local flare.
We travel extensively, searching for memorable excursions wherever we are visiting, so we booked an itinerary with “Viator” to visit Mt Fugi. Our tour guide “Imran” showed up a few minutes early, in a luxury, spacious vehicle, and greeted us by name with an outgoing, friendly attitude. It was cold outside, so he immediately made sure we were comfortable, for the drive to Mt Fuji area. We were escorted to several locations, off the normal tourist bus routes, that were not crowded and stunning viewpoints. He articulated as we drove, regarding Japanese culture, traditions and locations as we passed, answering any questions we had. Imran spoke both Japanese and English, communicating with us and the local individuals, guiding us on menu selections (at a personal, favorite “ramen” restaurant), and explaining signage as we toured. We had a wonderful day, truly an amazing experience, with Imran and his sense of adventure !!!
We had an amazing experience with Imran and Komori. The tour was so interesting, stopped at some many incredible places. The service was so personalized. Lovely experience, highly recommend it.
Komori (driver) and Imran (guide) make this perhaps the best tour we have ever completed. They are knowledgeable, approachable, friendly, and great with any group (family, LGBT, etc.). Along the tour, they talk about the area, answer questions, and turn unhappy kids into smiles and giggles. Worth the investment and ad hoc conversation entertainment. Strongly encourage other groups seeking tours around Tokyo to hire them for their needs. Arigatou gozaimasu.
We did a Mt. Fuji tour with Imran. It was absolutely perfect. Imran had a great car, new the area very well and took us to so many stop I can hardly remember all of the. He was kind, patient and very informative. He went above and beyond what a normal guide would ever do. I can’t recommend this company and Imran enough. Do not hesitate to book with them, you will have a great experience perfect. Imran had a great car, new the area very well and took us to so many stop I can hardly remember all of the. Do not hesitate to book with them, you will have a great experience. We also did a Tokyo tour with the same company a week earlier and it was just as good. We had a different guide, Moon, and he was also awesome.
It was nice to get out of Tokyo and explore the countryside and see Mt Fuji. Hopefully mount you are able to see it on a cloud free day!
Taka is very amazing! He went beyond our expectations! We had a rainy day in mt. fuji, and he managed to provide us with a great tour. He showed us All the good spots for ice cream, coffee and sweets! He also took us to a sightseeing cruse. 10 out of 10 with Taka.. Arigato, Taka!
Moon made our last day in Japan so memorable. The private car to Mt Fuji was clean, relaxing and comfortable. We stopped at so many amazing places and he made accommodations to what our preferences were. He gave us great insights into Japanese life/culture that we would have never received from touring on our own. The tour was worth every penny. I would 100% do other tours he offered! Hope to come back to Japan again to see more sights with Moon again.
Amazing! Taka was wonderful and we got to see everything we wanted. The drive out of central Tokyo took about 2.5 hours but well worry it. Highly recommend.
Excellent tour, fantastic service and much laughter, fun, and cultural exchange had by all! Guide and driver were accommodating and knowledgeable! Met in the morning as strangers, left as friends
Absolutely fantastic tour with a one of a kind your guide IMRAN. His insight was a touch above due to his extensive knowledge base. It was such a pleasure to meet him and learn about Japan from his perspective. Mt Fuji was awe inspiring as well. Highly recommend this company to all.
Our experience with our tour guide was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, take great pictures and knew where to take them. Answered all questions we could think of. Great translator and speaks multiple languages. If y’all are looking for travel guide and tour, The Tokyo Travel is it. Most importantly, Mt. Fuji made a showing for us.😊
Taka was our tour guide for our day trip to Mount Fuji. The day started off with some transportation challenges due to no seats available on any of the trains and buses to Mount Fuji, but Taka patiently and persistently worked hard to find a solution. In the end, he was able to ask his friend that has his own licensed taxi, Mr. Ogawa, to drive us to Mount Fuji. While we waited for Mr. Ogawa to arrive to pick us up, Taka took us on an impromptu tour of a nearby beautiful historical garden (Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden) so no time was wasted. Afterwards, Mr. Ogawa took us safely, comfortably, and promptly to Mount Fuji. We were lucky that it was a sunny day, so we could see Mount Fuji in all of its beautiful natural wonder. Taka and Mr. Ogawa also took us to a nearby natural spring (Oshino Hakkai) that is part of the Mount Fuji world heritage site. Taka and Mr. Ogawa went far and beyond to make sure we had a great day. Thank you very much!
This was the perfect day trip for me on a short stopover in Tokyo. Imran was a fabulous driver/guide. He was knowledgeable of the different stops and shared it in a very relatable way. I had an appointment immediately after the trip and he monitored the traffic conditions in Tokyo to be sure we'd be back in time. He took great pictures for me which was especially nice as a solo traveler. Can't speak highly enough of the service he provided. It was like travelling with a knowledgeable friend.
We were total 13 people from three different families and five kids. Was a very rainy and cold day in Tokyo with snow in outskirts. We were not sure whether we will be able to see Mount Fuji at all or not but Imran was able to tell her make some changes and suggested some other destinations to visit first which were very unique and the World heritage Village was beautiful to visit first. We had lunch and then as the weather cleared we have beautiful views of Mount Fuji in the evening along the lake kawaguchiko. We missed visiting to the ice caves due to being closed as per the weather policy. Very safe driving as well as listening to the customers needs in terms of breaks and catering for vegetarians too.
Imran, gave us the best experience one can have of Mt Fuji and it's surroundings. Worth every single dollar! If anyone comes to Japan we would highly recommend travelling with Imran. He made sure we captured almost every angle of Mt Fuji and that our travel was always in comfort. He would do anything for us. Thank you thank you!!! We do hope to travel again with Imran soon again.
