Even though we didn't see Mount Fuji, we really enjoyed our trip. The wasabi farm (who's ever had real water from Mount Fuji?), the waterfall, and the restaurant were especially great. Our guide “Yosh” was very friendly and told us a lot. When it became clear that we wouldn't be able to see Mount Fuji that afternoon either, “Yosh” accommodated our needs. We were able to visit an old village nearby that afternoon. Our guide was always very friendly and accommodating. We recommend this trip. It's a shame we didn't get to see Mount Fuji ourselves.

It was so fun our tour guide was very nice! Ken explained all the sites very well.
We had an incredible private Mt. Fuji tour with Toshi-san, and I highly recommend him! From start to finish, he was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the history, culture, and beauty of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding areas. He answered all of our questions and made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy each stop without ever feeling rushed. What made the experience even more special was how thoughtful Toshi-san was with our family. He took our two young children into consideration when planning the day, making sure the itinerary was enjoyable and manageable for them. He was incredibly pleasant, kind, and patient in all of his interactions with them, which made us feel relaxed and able to fully enjoy the tour as parents. A special thank you to our driver as well, who was kind, friendly, and especially wonderful with our two young children. Traveling with kids can sometimes be challenging, but he made the journey comfortable and enjoyable for our entire family. We were fortunate to have beautiful views of Mt. Fuji, and every stop along the way was memorable. The scenery, local experiences, and overall itinerary exceeded our expectations. Every experience was amazing and absolutely worth it. Thank you, Toshi-san, for an unforgettable experience. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Japan. If you're looking for a knowledgeable guide who genuinely cares about creating a memorable experience for every member of your family, Toshi-san is the perfect choice.
We had the full day Mt Fuji tour with Yuki. It was a fantastic experience taking us from shrines to the wasabi farm, a lovely lunch with our host followed by saki tasting and then on up to Station 5 on Mt Fuji. We were lucky enough to have the top of Fuji peek out of the clouds for us to get some great photos. The vehicle was super comfy and perfect for the three of us. Yuki was a great guide and gave us so much interesting information on the way. Highly recommended tour.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience with our guide, Yuki! He made our trip to Mt. Fuji and the Wasabi Farm unforgettable. Yuki was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, sharing fascinating information about the history, culture, and local area throughout the tour. His enthusiasm and passion made every stop more enjoyable, and he went above and beyond to ensure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. The views of Mt. Fuji were spectacular, and the visit to the wasabi farm was a unique and memorable experience that we would have never appreciated as much without Yuki’s expert guidance. If you’re looking for a guide who is personable, informative, and genuinely cares about providing an exceptional experience, we highly recommend Yuki. Thank you for helping create such amazing memories of Japan! We would gladly tour with him again. 😊🇯🇵🗻
Magical Trip and Yuki were great. They were accommodating to our needs. Yuki was enthusiastic and informative. He taught us much about the history and culture. He got our kids engaged and enjoy the conversations. Having a private vehicle was great. We got to go where tour buses could not and had the flexibility for pit stops if required. All of us were comfortable and liked that the tour was not crowded. We will book Magical Trip and Yuki again.
Nao san, was very happy, knowledgeable and polite, great guide! We missed the crowds, the atmosphere was awesome and length of the tour was perfect. Had many great suggestions and our tour was perfect! Great for family and or couples, and price/admission fees are WELL worth it.
Nao is one of the best tour guides I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The tour was very comprehensive, with beautiful views, amazing sceneries and hidden gems off the beaten path. Nao went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and even managed to complete our despite having an unforeseen 2hr traffic jam in the morning. 10/10 would recommend and would live to book another tour with him!
The excursion with Tushi to Mount Fuji was a truly enriching experience for us. We learned a lot about Japanese culture. We can highly recommend Tushi and the driver to everyone!
Nao is very friendly and knowledgable. He was very flexible with the schedule and catered toward our interests. Despite us being unable to see Mt. Fuji (Mother Nature), we still enjoyed our tour because of him.
Our tour guide Ramesh was awesome. We booked a Christmas Eve tour to see Mount Fuji - but we didn’t really due to unlucky weather. Nevertheless we and Ramesh made the most of it and had a great time! Our family loves the outdoors as did Ramesh, and we all appreciated soaking in the culture and surrounding landscape and sites, albeit on a wet day. We would do it all over again without hesitation :)
We had an amazing Mt Fuji tour with Yuki. He was super nice and knowledgable. Communication was very good. He took us to many stops, we would not have seen on our own and explained our many questions. This excursion was the highlight of our trip so far. Yuki helped us navigate through the crowds at popular locations showing us where the best photo spots are and translating many of the Japanese items we could not read. He took us to some local places which were amazing to see the local culture and not just tourist spots. I would highly recommend this tour and Yuki. I wish we did another tour when we first arrived because it would have probably been very helpful to explain many items.
where to begin.... from beginning to end the whole trip was just amazing, pick up was seamless tosshi was on time and smiley, the driver was very professional and also deserves a shoutout. we started at the Pagoda, the stairs are a killer but worth the photo! the next stop was the wasabi farm, what a lovely place! something so different and great guy who runs the tour ( his dog is also very cute) we went to a saki place and a wine tasting, wind cave, temple all well within the time, you can basically pick what you want to do it's very flexible. oh food was very good at lunch aswell. all in all i wonderful truly amazing day! thank you again tosshi who is such an asset to the company. highly recommend.
This tour was a 10 out of 5 stars. I was in Japan 2 full weeks and this was the highlight!!! I had originally booked another "Customizable" tour but the customization was one of 2 choices... communication was sketchy, and they would not go to Mt Fuji 5th station if it was raining. Cancelled that one. Scouring other options, I finally found this one. They understood that I wanted to go to the 5th station regardless of weather and view as the view was not the important aspect for me. Kiho was AMAZING in making this happen for me on short notice. The driver Ton was already outside my hotel when I came out - he was so polite and professional all day. Yuki my guide showed up a couple of minutes later. And we were off! First stop was short hike to a magical waterfall - all in a light drizzle. It was perfect. Next we went to the wasabi farm. I was aware that what we get in the US called wasabi is just colored horseradish but I was not prepared for just how good real wasabi is. Waterproof boots are provided for the tour. The older gentleman who shows due around was a multigenerational farmer of this site. The water came from Fuji taking decades to travel and purify underground. After seeing how the operation works, I got to actually dig up a wasabi root from the water paddy where it grows. We took it back to the little building and I was shown how to pull apart the shoots to be replanted as new plants and how to clean the main root. We then ground it on the traditional sharkskin paddle. Then it was tasting time- it was so good! The farmer also makes 2 versions of preserved wasabi that we got to try. Lunch time! I have dietary restrictions and Yuki made sure everything was ok. We went to a mom and pop sushi restaurant where we took off shoes and sat on floor on tatami mats at a low table. It was the best meal I had while in Japan. Next - a quick sake tasting experience. So cool how it is dispensed after putting tokens into the machine. Then - off to Mt Fuji. We wound our way up the very curvy road - suggest motion sickness meds if you are prone- through drizzle and clouds and then burst out into complete clearing. The summit of Mt Fuji was clearly visible even though the sky above was completely gray. The thick cloud layer started not far below 5th station obscuring the world below. I was 100% fine with no view. I came to feel the energy of the sacred mountain - and feel it I did. We got to walk a little way down the road that becomes the trail to the summit. Visited the preciously peaceful Shinto Shrine. And of course perused the gift shops. Keep in mind it was cold and windy up there. I had prepared with several layers but a toboggan and gloves would have been nice. Honestly I slept a good chunk of the drive back waking up in time to see the lights of Tokyo. I had told Yuki that I planned to see Shibuya Crossing and find the Hachiko statue the next day. He asked if I wanted to stop there at the end of the tour - the caveat being that I would need to get back to my hotel from there on my own as the driver would be dropping us off. I eagerly accepted this offer. Yuki took me to the perfect place to observe the Shibuya Crossing. We then went down and through the crazy crossing and over to the Hachiko statue where I of course got pictures. He then made sure I was comfortable getting back to my hotel on my own. (Straight shot on the Ginza line to Asakusa). It was an absolutely perfect day! Yuki was the perfect blend of information and quiet time. Very personable sweet young man. If I had not already planned out my next 2 days, I would have done another tour with him. All I can say is Magical Trip needs to advertise more or something to get this tour to come up higher on the listings.
Fantastic day! We visited Chureito Pagoda with its breathtaking view, and we went to the wasabi fields, growing and tasting it. We also went to Fuji Station 5, where we saw a beautiful, ancient shrine. Finally, we went to Oshino Akkai, a small village with beautiful thatched-roof houses. I recommend this tour to anyone; our guide, Mr. Ogawa, is extremely kind, friendly, and always available, ready to answer any questions. Highly recommended.
An extraordinary day on a tour with our guide Mark, who was very pleasant and easy going person. He showed us some amazing views on Mt.Fuji , we visited a place where Wasabi plant is cultivated and tried it fresh from the garden. All was followed by a tasty lunch at a local restaurant and the day ended with a visit to small village with water springs and beautiful nature. We were lucky to manage taking a clear photo on Mt.Fuji when clouds moved away from it for few moments. Altogether an amazing tour with a knowledgeable and pleasant guide.
Mark my guide was knowledgeable with each stop! The unique part of the trip was the Wasabi farm with rubber boots & harvesting wasabi. So happy I was able to see Mt Fuji. A bucket list item checked off. Thank you both for making my first trip to Tokyo so memorable.
It has been a fantastic trip with our local guide Mark. First we visited the wasabi farm which is really interesting to learn a different way of cultivating and how the water resources are used. Then we had a great lunch in a small place with only local people around. The weather was not perfect to see the Fuji, which is quite normal during this time of the year, but you can still see and enjoy the vegetation and the volcanic surroundings. To finalize the trip we visited the Chureito Pagoda which has been the cherry on the cake with that typical postcard view that every Japan visitor should see at least one time.
Our tour guide Toshi (Toshison) was exceptional—always polite, punctual, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire Mount Fuji (one day) trip. Their professionalism and friendly attitude made our experience smooth and enjoyable. Also the driver was driving pretty good and we all felt safe during the trip. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a knowledgeable and reliable guide! We were 2 families of 4 (8 in total) and we all enjoyed the lunch at the local restaurant. Good food and beautiful place nearby a shrine. We couldn't make to the last attraction listed on our itinerary but we had more time spent on other ones so we were absolutely happy with the schedule.
Mark was a great tour guide. We booked this tour for our family. There were 8 of us and I'll say, it turned out way better than expected. Our favorite part was the wasabi farm. The whole tour took about 10 hours from pickup to drop off. We had a traditional bento box lunch and it was very delicious with a great view of Mt. FUJI.
Driver and guide (Mark) provided excellent service and information throughout the day. Our schedule was ambitious and maybe could have eliminated the visit to the Oshino Hakkai small ponds. We would definitely recommend the overall experience to anyone seeking a personalized visit to Mount Fuji area.
We saw so many incredible things. Rai and Mr. Sasaki took great care of us and showed us amazing views and delicious food. Highly recommended.
The wasabi farm was the highlight of the tour. My 5 year old boy loved it. They are the only tour group that offer this combination with mount fuji visit. Vegetarian lunch was nice also.
Views of Mount Fuji were amazing and interesting to visit a multigenerational wasabi farm in action. Our guide Taka and driver were both very friendly and made the experience memorable. He was accommodating to any of our dietary restrictions when choosing lunch spots and tailored some of the stops to alternate ones we preferred. Highly recommend and will definitely book again if back in Japan for other experiences!
We had a fantastic day out. Everything was as advertised, however the personal touch from Taka with his local knowledge and easy nature made for a fun day. Despite being the busiest time of year, everything was easy and well managed. We were made to feel welcome and special. We can highly recommend this tour and would use Magical trip again.
Had a great trip with our guide Mark seeing the most amazing views of the area! Wasabi farm was fascinating - all in all a memorable trip which we would highly recommend!
Owning and operating a marathon travel company means we plan for everything—but sometimes, the weather has other ideas. The day after the Tokyo Marathon, we set out on a tour of the Mt. Fuji area with our group, only to be met with cold, relentless rain. We braced for disappointment. Enter Tiger. From the moment our tour began, Tiger’s energy, enthusiasm, and expert guidance transformed the day. Despite the downpour, our group stayed in great spirits—whether hiking to the Chureito Pagoda (no Fuji views, but plenty of smiles), exploring a wasabi farm (unforgettable fun especially for our volunteer “farmers”), or enjoying a cozy houtou noodle lunch (we didn’t think we could eat it all, but we did!) just as the snowfall began. Each stop, from Oshino Hakkai village to a sake tasting, felt special, thanks to Tiger’s insights, seamless translations, and clear communication. What could have been a total washout became one of the most memorable days of our trip. Tiger’s positivity, knowledge, and leadership made all the difference. We’ll absolutely be requesting him on future visits!
Tiger was an amazing tour guide and host!! So friendly and knowledgeable of the area. He provided us with a one of a kind travel experience and seemed more like our friend than travel guide. Would highly recommend his services!! Thank you Tiger for teaching us and showing us all the secrets of your home town, especially the Hoto noodles!
Our family had an amazing Mt. Fuji tour with Magical Trip! Our guide, Taka, was fantastic – knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience truly memorable. He ensured we had a wonderful time and took us to some out of the way places in addition to the major sites. Highly recommend Magical Trip and especially Taka for a fantastic Mt. Fuji visit
This was probably my top experience during my stay here in Japan. Starting with a beautiful drive through the country side of Japan and amazing views of the mountain as you get closer. Once you reach the parking lot it's a short hike up to some incredible shrines and panoramic view points. Then heading to a small village with 8 beautiful ponds with water so blue it almost doesn't look real. All sorts of small vendors for sor souvenirs and local food. After that we headed to a large and beautiful lake for lunch and preparing for the next leg of the journey. The ice caves !! Oh man the ice caves ! Absolutely incredible experience. Reminded very much of the ape caves back home in Oregon. They are created by old lava tubes that go farily deep underground and maintain a temp of about 0°c allowing icecicles year around so bring a jacket for this one. The last leg of the tour really just takes your breath away and completely wraps the whole experience up with a cherry on top. The waterfalls ! I was completely speachless upon first glance from the upper viewing deck! You walk down a short trail and end up right next to the falls! Each location seems to outdo the last while not taking anything away from each other. All being equally incredible! Oh I almost forgot there was wine tasting somewhere along the way as well!! Just so much that comes with this package! Tommy our guide was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional! I should know, as I'm a tour guide in the United States! 10 out of 10 would absolutely do this again!
The trip was really fun and interesting. The places we visited (like an ice cave, old village with 8 ponds and more, sorry I forgot the names) are not very far away from each other so you don’t spend too much time in the car. Also you get to hear quite a lot of informations to each place and Mt. Fuji in general which is very nice. Also each place offers a variety of things to do and to see. There’s no reason to hurry so you can enjoy and experience each location the way you want, try lots of local food, buy souvenirs or just make photos of beautiful Fuji San from a variety of different angles of view. Long story short: A beautiful and interesting trip. You should definitely be thinking about to visit.
I highly recommend this trip, even if you have been to Mt.Fuji before. The tour guides were fun to be around and guided us through some amazing places. The amount of locations included in the tour was fantastic. It was a full day of beautiful views of Mt.Fuji from all different types of landscapes.
Beautiful experience. Our guide, Mr Ogawa, was very kind and professional. Beautiful ride Mount Fuji, Station 5, Wasabi Farm.
