It was very cloudy so we couldn’t see Mt Fuji. But I still had a good time riding the ropeway, exploring a bit on the top and down around the lake. The village is touristy but it was fun to try the grilled mackerel! Our tour guide Laner is just beyond amazing!! She is very very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable!

Itinerary
Start your journey by meeting your guide in Tokyo. Head to an Instagram-famous spot near Mount Fuji: a Lawson convenience store right in front of Kawaguchi Station. Capture the unique beauty of Mt. Fuji (The visibility of Mount Fuji is affected by the weather. )
Then, learn the art of making matcha with local instructors. Savor a freshly made cup, and gain insights into Japanese culture. (The matcha experience lasts approximately 10-15 minutes.) After your matcha experience, stroll along the shores of Lake Kawaguchi to snap a shot of Mt. Fuji. Explore Lake Kawaguchi, located at an altitude of 830 meters and spanning 5.7 square kilometers. The lake's intricate shoreline offers numerous vantage points to admire Mt. Fuji, and on a calm day, you can capture its stunning reflection in the lake's waters.
Afterward, ascend the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway for breathtaking views along the way. From the observation deck at 1075 meters, enjoy unparalleled panoramic vistas of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi. ***Notice: The Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway will be closed for maintenance during the following periods: May 11 – July 15, 2026 Dec. 7 – Dec. 18, 2026 During this time, the ropeway will not operate. A Lake Kawaguchi Sightseeing Boat cruise will be provided instead.
Next, wander through Oshino Hakkai, nestled between Lake Yamanaka and Lake Kawaguchi in the Yamanashi Prefecture. This enchanting area is renowned for its eight clear springs, creating a harmonious and picturesque landscape against the backdrop of Mt. Fuji. Around 15:20pm,start to return to Tokyo. (The return/arrival time may be affected by various factors such as traffic and weather on the day. Please do not arrange other activities after the trip to avoid losses)

Our guide Kousei was very informative, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the places we visited and the clean, comfortable coach we travelled in.
The tour guide barely spoke English. He didnt come to meet us at the Tokyo station as discussed in the email. Instead he decided on the change of plan on the day of on what’s app, which I was not familiar with. We had to enlist another tour guide’s help who we met at the station to find out the whereabouts of our tour guide. At the matcha experience, the instructor spoke Japanese. Every time she explained something in a few sentences, our guide translated into 1 or 2 words in. English. Before we got to Oshino Hakkai, our “tour guide” dropped us off at Lawson telling us to buy food for lunch. After we got to Oshino Hakkai,, we realized there were food stalls selling hot local food. I was upset that our guide forgot to mention that we could have also bought food at Oshino Hakkai. We now ended up eating cold generic food we got from the convenience store.
Helen was one of the best guide. She was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and well organized.. Her enthusiasm and local knowledge made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you, Helen, for making our trip so special. Highly recommended!
Our guide Laner was excellent. She was funny, informative, and provided useful advice. It was a fun day!
Excellent experience/ worthwhile the money paid. Helen our guide was the best! She made our day so enjoyable! Although the pic of the mountain was covered in clouds, we enjoys beautiful scenery and made lasting memories.
Leo was a great guide. Overall great trip. Would definitely recommend to friends and family! Fantastic experience
I will have to be very honest. I went to this tour as a Japanese person with foreign friends. The tour guide Wayne was terrible, not giving the group thorough instruction as to what to expect (how long we stay at a location etc). Either his English or Japanese was sufficient, and he mistranslated or missed many of the things a Japanese tea ceremony instructor said. He couldn’t tell how long it would take for us to get to the first location or he couldn’t answer when we plan to come back to Shinjuku. The guide also wasn’t leading our group (or seemed like he didn’t intend to lead us), he didn’t use his yellow flag, and although he said he would wear a red backpack he didn’t. So I couldn’t find him. He is not a bad person or anything but he is simply not qualified or well trained. I had to constantly ask what to expect next. Lunch was extremely over-priced and poor in quality. 3 out of 5 of us ended up having stomachache after eating “traditional” Japanese food which is really just cabbage and rice with chicken and croquettes probably pre-made/frozen. It wasn’t authentic Japanese food and probably the worst food I ever had in Japan. We were taken to many souvenir shops with very poor quality products. Overall I must say this wasn’t representative of Japan or its culture in terms of its organization and food quality. I feel ashamed that I took my friends on this tour to introduce them to “Japan” that I felt very foreign. Being accessible on a global platform like Trip advisor this tour might seem legitimate but I would recommend tourists use “Hatobus” a legitimate Japanese bus tour company that has a very long history in the country and choose English as a tour language.
Enjoyed this day out. Tour was not over crowded and stuck to schedule. We were lucky to see Mount Fuji in the morning though there was cloud cover when we got to the lake in the evening. The lunch place was quite nice too. Laner our guide was very friendly and nice. She provided details about the significance of each stop , helped with photos etc. Overall a very pleasant experience.
We struck it lucky! Wife looked at previous positive reviews & they didn't disappoint. We initially were concerned regarding the meet up location but our guide Mizki made contact the previous night to confirm everything. She added everyone in our group to Whatsapp or similar so she keep in contact with everyone in what was a busy day, visiting a few locations that could only be described as very touristy such as the Lawson Store with Mt Fuji backdrop. The lunch at extra cost was nice but possibly again a bit touristy, however caters for the large number of bus groups coming through in a very efficient manner. The Mt Fuji Ropeway provided great views of the mountain & Lake Kawaguchiko. There was a stop @ an old village where if you have room there is plenty of local foods to try. We stopped for a tradional matcha tea making workshop but again very touristy. A visit to the amazing flower gardens on the shore of Lake Kaeaguchiko with Mt Fuji backdrop, what else could you ask for? Well luckily great weather & a terrific guide in Mizki who kept everyone informed of the tradititons relating to everything we saw & is able yo do so in multiple languages. The bus & driver were excellent although be aware there is no toilet on board & a strong reluctance to stop due to the busy time schedule. Biggest bonus we struck it lucky with the weather. Of note, don't be late to your booking time as you will miss this great experience as they can't & wont wait.
Zack was an excellent guide. He explained everything we were looking at using both professional and personal experiences.
It was an ok tour. The vires were great but the weather was great. However the timing was off, we queued up most of the time and only had like 10 min at the 1st stop, which pushed time everywhere else off. And every stop was a spending opportunity. The strangest was the lunch, which we directly paid the tour guide individually. This gives the impression a deal was made with the restaurant beforehand and the guide got a cut and charged us more. Overall I'd say take the tour but bring your own lunch.
Olivia was a fabulous guide! We had a magic day- blue skies, sunshine & perfect views of Mount Fuji throughout the day. Great value for a full day trip.
Got to see some wonderful locations around Fuji. Very breathtaking views, we got lucky and saw the mountain almost clear completely in the morning. Erina was a great guide as well!
Wanting was so great! She taught me more than I could have asked for about the mountain, was patient with the whole group, and made the day very enjoyable with a perfect pace. I would recommend to others for sure!
Our guide named Wanting was great, easy to find with her yellow flag, on time, knowledgeable, efficient, spoke perfect English , very good French too, lots pf background and historical knowldege. A great tour with lots of photo ops with Fuji and village an authentic Matcha tea making activity. Thanks very much
I was slightly concerned at first with some of the negative reviews but after my tour with Lee I strongly recommend this. Get yourself internet connection in Japan so you can keep in touch with the guide throughout the trip. They offer multiple options to keep in touch. Be mindful of the call times at each stop so you don’t hold up the rest of the group. This is a touch and go tour, not an in-depth tour. The drive and traffic is bad. Expect it. If you can’t do long bus rides, take the train. Tip your guide. Fuji mountain sells itself. Get there and get immersed under its magnificent presence. Even the pre-arranged lunch can be enjoyable. There are always hidden spots for awesome photos instead of crowding the popular locations. I’m so glad that I was able to come on a sunny day. Beautiful and memorable trip.
Our guide, Andrew, was so polite, knowledgeable and funny. We had a lovely time and really felt like valuable customers or as Andrew liked to call us; his large damily
Very bad , they email us wrong pick up location and not answering the calls, we couldn’t go with his bus, we call many time and we have to take train to Fuji by ourselves, we text him want to meet him at Fuji, so he can take us back, but he never replied! We demand our money back !!!! We don’t recommend anyone use this company!!!!
Tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable. The tour was well organized and the bus was comfortable.
Very clear instructions Good English Give us enough time to take pictures and also offer and was happy to take the photo for us
Evita was a wonderful tour guide, very outgoing and friendly. Well informed and shared a lot of great information and tips on the area. She and the driver were very friendly and ensured we all had a good time and were all on the bus (everyone made it safely there and back :) ). We had cloudy but nice weather, I'm grateful Mt. Fuji revealed herself by the end of our tour! I will definitely come again and stay at onsen next time as recommended!
We had a great day with Sia despite the clouds not cooperating. It was extremely impressive how she ran the day and translated into two languages fluently. Sia was very efficient and the whole day ran perfectly on time.
The tour is ok but it is way too rushed. So many stops there was no time for anything except pictures. One stop was only 8 minutes and if you were late, the bus is not afraid to leave you as they left one family. It is also a mess to try and find your right group at Tokyo station. Tour guide also gave incentive to those who gave 5 star reviews and made sure and watched you type in the review. Some of the 5 star reviews that mention the tour guides NAMES are not fair and accurate. We would not do this tour again. It would be better recommended to spend a night at Mt Fuji.
Was a bit confusing finding our guide but once we did Brewster took care of us! Fantastic guide and great tour, would do it again!
Kumar was very nice and knowledgeable about the area. If he was near he would always offer to take family pictures for us. The area he took us was beautiful.
Simply a fantastic day and best of all we actually got to see Mt Fuji. Our tour guide, Tom, made sure the large group was kept moving and on schedule in the nicest possible manner. The stops were brief but we saw a lot and covered ground. Great VFM.
From start to finish our trip to Mount Fuji was nothing short of unforgettable – and that’s in no small part thanks to our host, Brewski. If you're looking to experience Mount Fuji in a way that goes beyond the guidebooks, this is it. Brewski went above and beyond to ensure we had the absolute best views possible. On the day of our cable car ride, weather conditions were a bit unpredictable, but he kept a close eye on the forecast and adjusted our timing perfectly so we caught the clearest skies just as the clouds parted. The view from the top? Absolutely breathtaking – the kind of scene that stays with you forever. Beyond the logistics, Brewski brought a relaxed and fun energy to the entire experience. He shared local insights, pointed out the best photo spots (some we would’ve completely missed without him), and even surprised us with a little gift at the end – a small touch that made a big difference. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a first-time visitor, I can’t recommend Brewski highly enough. His passion for the region, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality turned what would have already been a beautiful trip into something truly extraordinary.
It was really nice experience and Marafa was a really good guide, it was nice the places we saw and fortunately the weather was good
The Mount Fuji tour was great, you see so many cool things and this tour takes you to some extra places that are such a good experience ! Louis was our guide and he was so lovely and knowledgeable about the Japanese culture and land ! 10/10 recommended this tour
This was a really nice day teip! Beautiful views and amazing village. It was great to see traditional Japan and leave the busy city for one day. Our guide, Louse, was very helpful, informative and funny 😁
Awesome experience of mount fuji tour covering all the popular scenes of mount fuji, the tour was totally worth it. Thanks to our tour guide . Well done Brewki GJ.
This tour was definitely worth it for the price. Initially we were thinking of going to Mt Fuji by ourselves but glad we didn’t. Everything was on time and we stayed right on schedule. Our guide was James and he did a great job and was funny and entertaining. He kept us on track the whole time. Everything was planned which made the trip easier. Bring cash for lunch as that is not included but it was good and the view of Mt Fuji from the restaurant was great. We got lucky to see it without any clouds or fog.
5 star for the guide Laila and the tour company. It was overall a good peek into the cultural side of Tokyo and learning history from our guide. She was very knowledgeable about Japanese history, very patient and was answering all our questions with patience. She coordinated all pickups and drops very well, arranged a great lunch (paid) for us. Would have been great if we had more time to explore locally around some places but that’s what you get in a day trip :)
Thank you to Sia our guide for a wonderful trip of Mount Fuji and the main attractions. It was a good snap shot of everything in Fuji area. I really loved every part of it and the wagyu was delicious. ありがとうございます!🇯🇵🙏🩷
We were excited to go on our day tour to Mt. Fuji. We admittedly were a little lost and confused finding our way to the tour guide. I need to post this and I hope management sees this. PLEASE consider removing this guide of yours from tours. He was so disrespectful, dismissive, and overall horrible encounter. We were simply asking if he might know our tour guide and he didn't acknowledge us and shoved his hand in our face and said "no English" and walked away. He happily assisted Chinese tourist but ignored everyone else. We have been in Japan for two weeks and had no issues with anyone on this entire trip until this man. If you want to attract tourist to this type of tour you might want to hire people with decency and manners. SHAME on GOGODAY Travels for having someone like this.
Brewski was the BEST!!!! He explained everything to my family and I. When we come back to Japan we will definitely book again
Peter was an amazing tourguide. It was very informative and he was kinda funny also. The bus driver was also very nice. Unfortunately we couldn't see the Mt. Fuji because of the fog and rain. What I didn't like were all the souvenir shops etc at every stop. It would be great if there is more information/history than shopping. Especially at the first stop you have to go through a souvenirshop/market to get to the highlight. It felt like I did a shopping tour rather then a scenerie tour. But that's my personal feeling.
I was part of Leo’s group and he was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor! I really recommend being part of his group for this tour.
Amazing experience! Leo was a great your guide who was very knowledgeable about the history and the culture. He was very organized and took us to see great views of Mt Fuji!
We took a day trip to visit Mt. Fuji as part of Leo's group. We had an incredible experience seeing Mt. Fuji from many different angles and getting amazing pictures. Leo was also an incredible tour guide; he was very knowledgeable and flexible and made sure that we were able to see Mt. Fuji even though it was a cloudy day. Highly recommend everyone to take this tour with Leo!
We had a great day with Jay, who was a implicated and funny tourer, even if the mont fuji was not a lot in sight because of the cloud I had a great day
We went with Richard and it was a wonderful experience with good company. He looked after us all of the spots. We have ample time to explore the areas.
Thank you Brewski! He is a very positive and energetic and helpful tour guide. I was able to get a clear view Mt Fuji today.
The best guide ever. Brewski!!!! It was an amazing trip to Mount Fuji, tea experience and much fun with Brewster. I can’t recommend them enough to travel with them, you’re in for something truly memorable!!
Amazing experience! Our guide Brewster explained everything perfectly and it was a great fun to have the tour with him! When the sky cleared up we had a perfect view of Mt. Fuji! A must see when you are in the Tokyo area!
Brews is a well experienced tour guide. He is well passion and let us have a great time. Good job Brews! 👍
Leonardo was the best guide, super funny and jovial all while detailing each locations stop. Would totally recommend this tour, 10/10!!!
Unfortunately I cannot rate this day tour any higher. I was really excited to get out of the city and see a bit of nature and learn about the country a bit but that did not happen. It was a bad day to see Mt Fuji due to the weather but that’s not their fault, I was still looking forward to it. Unfortunately tho our tour guide spoke English very poorly and didn’t give us any information about any of the sights or anything. The matcha making ceremony was super rushed, we were done in like 5min and the instructor only spoke in Japanese so our guide was translating (or trying to). I feel bad writing this because he was really kind but unfortunately that’s not enough to make a good tour. The lunch was good and I did like the last stop because the sakura was still blooming which is not in the city. So that kind of salvaged the tour a little bit. I would recommend checking the weather before hand and only book on sunny days because the only thing that would make this tour good would be seeing the Mt Fuji, which we did not.
The tour itself felt way too touristy for our taste, but the views were beautiful. What really made the day was Brewster—he was a fantastic guide. His humor, kindness, and energy brought a lot of heart to the experience. If you’re looking for a light, scenic day with a fun guide, Brewster’s your guy.
