Very sad the weather was so foggy/misty we could not see anything at all. I know it is not anything you can help.
great tour guide really passionate about her job.
The entire experience was amazing. Our tour guide was really friendly & super patient. We first went to Mt. Fuji 5th station which was a bucket list moment for me. Weather was great so good visibility. The best part was the Hakone as we got to see the volcanic area at Owakudani. It was my favourite part of the trip as we literally went over the volcanic area in the cable cars. Our driver was an excellent driver too. All in all definitely a great experience.
Great trip eith a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. May kept us informed and entertained throughout the trip.
Joy was a great tour guide and the driver was funny and a happy person with good personality and driving skills was so impressive .the tour was great were able to see mt. Fuji on a clear day and Hakone cable car ride and the pirate ship was a great experience
Joy was an amazing tour guide. She explained everything in detail. It was a long drive from Tokyo to Mt Fuji. The day was perfect and the view stunning. Would have liked more time at Mt Fuji. Lunch was ok and would have preferred lunch on our own.
It was great had great weather could see well ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..thanks..
Mitzuko our Spanish guide was amazing. She Created a fun experience. Ee learnt origami, curious facts about japan and of course about the local places. They day was very cloudy but we had a perfect window of 30 min with blue sky on top of mountains Fuji.
We had really terrible weather so the rope way and cruise operators closed down and our tour went to alternate attractions (not really equivalent ones.). I’m not taking stars off due to the weather- can’t control that. 3 stars because the tour involves a lot of sitting on a bus traveling between souvenir shops. If that’s your thing you’ll love it. Of course the attractions ( Mt Fuji and Hakone) are a fair distance apart, so travel does take some time. However, I think the tour didn’t add anything that you would not get by rolling your own trip for a much lower cost and on your own schedule. If you do go, everyone opts for the buffet lunch and the train ( non- reserved seats) back.
Forget the weather the tour guide made the day informative & fun the experience is certainly worthwhile covering so much in one day without the boredom
A varied and interesting itinerary Knowledgeable and helpful guide. The only hassle we had was on return trip via bullet train as we were sent duplicate tickets and qr code only accepted one, meant we had to purchase ticket for train. Ensure any tickets sent have different numbers.
Great tour overall! Enjoyed despite changes due to long lines at ropeway. We had difficult getting any real vegan or vegetarian food. The tour guide did not fully understand or showed any real interest to understand our ask. It was good that we carried some of our own food. This could have been easily arranged with the hotel.
What an experience! In addition to seeing Mount Fuji, you also get to see the Japanese countryside! Guides were friendly and added to the great experience.
Excellent day tour - guide was very good and the trip was a full, if not tiring, day. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
This is very much a “check the box” sort of tour. Mount Fuji? Check. Mediocre lunch? Check. Hakone Ropeway? Check. And a pirate ship-themed ferry across the lake for some reason? Check. (I guess?) Ultimately, the my money and time would’ve been better spent on visiting other sites in the Tokyo metro area.
I would’ve 100% recommend this tour. Also know that it is a full day, 11 to 12 hours I love the tour in spite of the day that we went. We could not see Mount Fuji at all. It was fog all day, but I could see if you could see Mount Fuji would be even better. My only recommendation is not to do the bullet train unless you’re going to Tokyo station because then you have to transfer and it was very confusing for us and for our fellow travelers
This tour was really fun! We had Hide as our main guide and he was just lovely. The weather was not on our side so we couldn't see Mt fuji but Hide sang us a song and kept apologising but it was okay the experience was great regardless. This was a jam packed day with delicious lunch and finishing the day with a boat trip on a pirate ship. Thank you Hide and Yoko and our great bus driver who got us around all the places. Well worth the money for this trip!
The trip was very entertaining with a lot of different highlights. Out guide Ai was very funny and gave us many additional information about our tour. The bus driver also did a very good job and drove very smooth.
Bus ride way too long for what you experience. Our trip in particular suffered a few extra issues with holiday traffic. Even though we were asked to start an hour earlier, we were not ontome, missed connecting to our bus to get to the train station amd had yo wait over an hour in a line to go back to another pick up point to get on bus. It was brutal. While the guide as sweet as could be he did not have a goid command if English language. Very little info shared while we weathered near 8 hours on a bus for 3 hours if actual sightseeing items. Lunch was not that good
Good value for money with experiences at Mt Fuji, the bullitt train food great, countryside amazing and friendly competent guide and driver
Do NOT get this package. It was an absolute waste of a day and they refused to give me a refund. They only take you to gift shops around the mountain and you can’t leave. We were stuck and since it was raining and super foggy we asked to reschedule but they refused. There was no prior menu for the buffet to see if we’de actually eat the food up until you’re on the way on the bus. So 1… they only go to tourist trap gift shops 2… refused to refund or reschedule due to the weather making the mountain obviously not visible which is the whole point of the trip 3… didn’t eat most of the day because of the lack of prior knowledge of menu and didn’t have time to get anything else since you’re on their schedule 4… you’re better off going on the train or renting a car I really have no idea why it was 130 per person which is a complete scam I have pictures as proof which I wish I can post along with this review if they’d let me
Had a wonderful time with our guides! They provided a great atmosphere and were very insightful at both MT Fuji & Hakone
Guides were awesome, driver was very careful
Fun and organized tour with very helpful and patient tour guide, Chi.
I am not sure how many ppl actually manage to see mt Fuji from the 5th station (which is where we headed to first) but it was horribly cloudy and we couldn’t see anything at all. Which wasn’t honestly the tour guide fault but it was very disappointing and a waste of a whole day. The guide herself was difficult to understand a lot of times but she did make up for it with her enthusiasm. She even taught us how to make mt Fuji using origami paper. Which was nice of her. The next stop too was too cloudy to see much. The lunch was moderately decent.
Hide was a fun and educational tour guide. We were kept entertained with history of Japan, Mt. Fuji, the story of Ashi and more. Bonus points for the handmade signs and folders.
Great tour kids loved the buffet lunch.
Mt Fuji was being very shy but this didn’t spoil our experience. Our tour guide Sakura was amazing - friendly, funny, knowledgeable and full of love for Japan. We enjoyed visiting station 5 on Mt Fuji and riding the Hakone rope way. The pirate boat was some unexpected fun too. We highly recommend this tour.
Our tour guide, Sakura, was absolutely amazing! She was extremely knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor and was extremely engaging with all of us the entire day! Our driver, Ms. Soga, was a wonderful and extremely safe driver and had a great sense of humor as well! We had the best experience and the best day… Even though we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji because of the cloud coverage. Sakura and Ms. Soga made up for it by being so wonderful!
We had an excellent day on this tour. Whilst unfortunately the weather was bad so we didn’t get to see the peak of mt Fuji our guide Sakura made sure we were informed and entertained the entire time. It’s was a very well thought out tour and she couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you from your first 4 rows on oct 5 2026
Our kindhearted and warm-hearted tour leader Ms. Sakura was a book ok knowledge and a great storyteller! This "Mount Fuji and Hakone Tour with return by Bullet Train" is a MUST for outdoor lovers. Highly Recommended!
This tour really would have been amazing if the weather had been better. Mt Fuji was feeling very shy and we only caught a glimpse of her. However our tour guide Sakura and driver Mrs Soga kept us well informed and entertained. They made the whole trip a heap of fun and it was well worth it. Sakura told us so much history and lots of stories about Japan. She was an excellent tour guide and I highly recommend this experience.
We had the best guide, Sakura, cheerful lady, present at all times and very cateful! We learned many new things about this beautiful country! Even it was foggy and could not see any view from the peaks, we are glad we took this trip!
Our guide sakura was very polite and full of enthusiasm! However the weather messed up the complete tour 🥹 as we couldn’t get the view of Mt Fuji . But 10/10 to the guide and the lunch provided was great .
Had a great time. Our guide Sakura was excellent!! Thank you
It’s a very comfortably paced tour with plenty of time to soak in each part of the experience, great photo and video opportunities Our driver Ruka was a lot of fun, thanks mate
It took three hours and 50 minutes to get to Mount Fuji. Once there we were only allowed 20 minutes of time at the observation deck. There was nothing in the description of the activity that gave any indication of how long of a drive it was. The guide understanding of English was somewhat limited. She was also very hard to understand with her accent. Once we arrived at an activity, everything seemed to be rushed. We spent a large percentage of the 11 hours on a bus with no restroom facilities. Very disappointed.
Yugi our guide was very thorough and conscientious . He did his utmost to ensure everyone understood the itinerary of the day, he double checked so many times as to where each member of the party were (I appreciated this was difficult. Why don’t people ensure that they are where they are supposed to be, when they are supposed to be?! And then they kept moving when he was trying to count!!). He possibly needn’t have talked quite so much during the coach travel… Our coach driver, (sorry can’t remember her name), drove exceptionally well and was also very friendly and cheerful.
The price was ok, our guide gave a detailed explanation of the history and multiple fun facts on the bus ride. I think the amount of stops was just perfect, one halfway to use the toilet or buy something to drink, one at the lake to eat and see and on the way back another to use the toilet and buy something to drink again. The shrine itself was very impressive. The only thing I would like to see improved in the future could be providing a water bottle for the long walk.
Amazing! All well orhganized, good spots, great tour guide and driver.
It was a really fun experience seeing Mount Fuji we had an awesome view, also using the rope away (gondola) and being on the pirate ship was really fun. Yukon was an awesome guide and made sure everyone had a good time and made sure that everyone knew meeting times. Would recommend!
Excellent trip ..... shame about the weather obstructing views. Maya our guide was very knowledgable and friendly and of course a shout out to our driver who kept us safe
Amazing experience, just being able to travel through four provinces and see the towns in the mountains was an experience in itself. It is a fast paced tour and at times it would be great to have more time at Mt Fuji, the lunch experience was unique and authentic.
Lots of travel time, but also included lots of good information. Our tour guide, Mai, was simply wonderful! She sang some Japanese songs, shared lots of stories, and was extremely kind and helpful. The drive to the 5th station was nice, but the weather did not cooperate (of course) and our actual time there was very short. Lunch was so-so. All in all, though, it was still a good value.
This tour gives you a glimpse of natural Japan. Chi was a wonderful guide! The weather was terrible but she kept the group entertained & interested.
Excellent Happy brilliant, driver very safe. Coach comfortable and very clean. Weather not so good bit Happy Excellent at telling us so much history made trip go smoothly. Fantastic
The weather was bad and we did not get to see Mt. Fuji! Our guide “Happy” was very entertaining and informative.
Maki was very helpful.Explained places with historical events. Her local knowledge, was excellent she was born there.
The tour is weather dependant so we didn't do most of what we should have. However, the tour guide arranged alternative sights and handled the whole process very smoothly. We still really enjoyed the day and it was good value. My only disappointment was the lunch which was lacking in quality. Otherwise, a very good tour.
