Itinerary
First we will visit the Arakurayama Sengen Park, located in Fujiyoshida City. It offers breathtaking views of Mount Fuji framed by the iconic five-story Chureito Pagoda, enhanced by seasonal beauty such as cherry blossoms in spring, vibrant autumn foliage, and serene snow-covered landscapes, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking Japan’s quintessential scenery and cultural depth.
Next we will visit the Fuji Speedway. Our guide will provide an orientation, sharing insights into the track’s history and its significance in international motorsport events, including its role in the Formula 1 calendar and the annual World Endurance Championship. We will visit several of the circuits within the speedway. If lucky you will witness a racing event or even a drift event depending on the day of the booking.
Lastly, we head to the Fuji Motorsports Museum, located on-site, where exhibits showcase legendary race cars, motorcycles, and the evolution of Japanese automotive design. The museum also features interactive displays and simulators, providing a hands-on motorsport history lesson.

We had a wonderful day with Daisuke. We booked this tour as it combined seeing Mt Fuji and for my son to see the Fuji Motorsports Museum. It was just an easy way to go. Booked through the website. Great communication via email before going. In Japan we communicated via What’s App. We went to Arakurayama Sengen Park first where we were very lucky to catch a glimpse of Mt Fuji. We then headed to Fuji Speedway circuit. Very lucky to arrive on a day that there was testing or the premier Japanese open-wheel racing series…this made my sons day! We had lunch with our guide. Visited Fuji motorsports museum which lived up to its reputation. We enjoyed seeing all the cars. With time to spare Daisuke took us to a lake where we saw a white swan family.
Hiro was really good guide. Relaxed, relatable and fun. I would highly recommend to do this tour with him.
We had a fantastic day out of Tokyo visiting Fuji Speedway and seeing great sights along the way. We were picked up from our Tokyo hotel by Toshi who was so friendly.. We stopped on the way out for a snack and bathroom break then headed out to pick up tourist GT86 my 19year old was going to drive around the track (bucket list experience). He loved the whole experience from start to finish. We also visited the Fuji Speedway museum which was great and spotless! Enjoyed a beautiful lunch overlooking the speedway at a very reasonable price (like 1200 yen) and drove to a lookout to view a lake - another thing my son rated highly driving that mountain road😅 anyway we can’t thank Toshi enough, it really was a great day and one we’ll always remember.
This would be my most expensive tour on the 2 weeks I spent here, and absolutely worth it. Ensure you have a valid IDP permit or no driving. Also ensure that yku have a action cam with a car dash mount or hat clip or a way to secure the camera to record as there are no cameras inside. My understanding it was 1500 and 1800 yen for the museum a d entry admission. Admission cost was included. I thought the car rental was 32,000 yen but I believe I just pId 15,000. Maybe that's due to driving the GR86 vs the Tom's Supra GR I wanted to drive but was not available. It was easy to coordinate pickup from my hotel 5km from Tokyo station. I met up with an amazing tkur guide Hiro the hero! He was the coolest most chil tour guide in all the tours ive ever booked. He went over and beyond to ensure my trip was memorable. It literally was my birthday on this day and on top of his great customer service he treated me a number of times to celebrate my birthday. It was a very long day, and i could tell that he was tired as he had another tour very similar to the one i booked right after tbis one called the Fast and Furious GTR experience. I completely forgot that there was a guided tour to a Japanese shrine along the way. Which was really educational and cool. However the weather was not on our side to see mt fuji hiding in the clouds. (Bring comfy walking shoes and prepare for exercise lol.) After the race which was about 3 laps. First 2 you drive ovwr the lap line and a fun speed then 3rd lap exit tne track. We also got to see some drifters beside the track which i dont think was part of the tour but was right next door. It was a fun educational tour i would recommend to anyone. (I actually recommended this to a few travelers already. Hiro! Thank you for ALL that you did to make this experience more than a tour experience. It was life changing and educational. I hope we cross paths again, (if I do this tour again hopefully better luck on a supra guided by you again) arigatōgozaimasu!
We had an excellent day. Hiro was friendly, fun, easy going, and always glad to help. It especially helps that he's a car fan too! The day is a car fan's dream. Driving around Fuji Speedway racetrack was amazing, well worth the upgrade. The Fuji Speedway museum is packed with Japanese car racing history, from F1 to Nascar and Le Man's. Even the restaurant didn't disappoint with bigger portions than they looked in the photos. I definitely recommend this experience. Well worth it!
Awesome experience. Great views of Mount Fuji. Nice lunch at Fuji Speedway. Fuji Motorsports Museum was awesome! So many nice cars! Tour Guide Yusuke was great. He is patient and very accommodating
For car enthusiasts, this is a place to go to! The experience of entering Fuji Speedway is undescribable! It was a dream seeing cars from my childhood when playing Gran Turismo in real life at the museum! The driving experience is mindblowing! Takeshi was very friendly and made our experience enjoyable. Highly recommended!
Best tour guide there is, we've done both the Odaiba PA tour and the Fuji Speedway tour (added the museum and Gotemba). A very chill person Takeshi as guide, fair price, reliable. I wouldn't dare to book elsewhere knowing Takeshi is your man for these fun tours. Be sure to ask him for custom tours as he's very helpfull with doing that for you for a fair price.
This was AWESOME and Hiro was amazing. He instantly made a connection with us and tailored the trip to suit us and our interests. I would highly recommend this if you are into Motorsport. My 3 rev heads had the best day and it turned out to be one of the best things we did the whole trip. Definitely will be revisiting if we get the opportunity
We recently travelled to Nadi, Fiji. We hired Mohammed Fazeem as our driver. He was very knowledgeable and took us on a tour of the Coral Coast, picked us up from the airport and drove us to the Lautoka cruise terminal. He was a very kind and polite person. His fares were reasonable and he was so very dependable. I had contacted him on What’sApp before we left and he took a lot of time communicating options with me. I highly recommend him as a driver. He can be reached on WhatsApp at 679 920-9795, call him, you won’t be disappointed!
A must-do for any car enthusiasts! Takeshi was very accommodating, picking us up from our hotel and driving us to and from the speedway. He made the experience very personable and is a pleasure to speak with and is clearly knowledgeable about cars. He had lunch with us and even offered to drop us off wherever we wanted in Tokyo. Please if you’re in tokyo take a day to do one of his tours, you won’t regret it.
I've been to 60 countries. In all honesty, this is the best tour I've ever had. All guides speak extremely fluent English.
I tell you what, this is a must do! Takeshi as a host os unmatchable. Was talking to him throughout the entire tour was like 6-7 hours! Man is very well connected. He'll look after you trust me. Make sure you do this!
I stumbled on this tour while searching for Mt. Fuji tours for our family 2025 Suzuka F1 GP vacation. It was simply the best of both worlds, and as an avid car enthusiast , I couldn't pass it up. Weeks before the tour, I had several message exchanges with Takeshi regarding logistics and requirements for Fuji Speedway circuit drive. On every one of these communications, Takeshi was extremely responsive and professional. Our tour was both informative and a fun way to vacation. Having a fellow car enthusiast as your tour guide adds a dimension that is unique. Additionally, there was so much we learned about Tokyo and the surrounding areas. Takeshi's knowledge of Mt. Fuji area, and how best to avoid the big tour bus crowds was invaluable. This was both a time saver and experience unmatched. It was enjoyed by my family. The Fuji Speedway self drive was an absolute blast. Takeshi's knowledge of all the logistics made this such a seamless experience. We're so happy to experience this tour and having Takeshi as our tour guide and fellow car enthusiast. There is no doubt we'll do another car enthusiast related tour with Matenro Drift Racing on our next Japan visit.
Takeshi took me on a tour to a great spot to see mt Fuji and also to the Fuji Speedway. I got to drive a car there around the track for like 3 laps. We had an awesome day together. Takeshi is such a gentleman with great sense of humor and served me so well during my day with him. I can recommend this tour a 100% for racing enthusiasts.
Takashi was very prompt in replies. He tailor the tour based on our request and interest. He is a very skilful driver. If you love cars, this is highly recommended as it’s not something touristy at all. The museum is worth a visit too.
Great tour , nice car . Excellent tour guide. He is Japanese . Perfect English Mount Fuji view is amazing The speedway very nice . And we get to see at the spoedway in other track a lot of cars doing races and car drifting . That was the best
I chose this tour because I thought having a private driver and guide was the best way to go for visiting an area nearly two hours away from Tōkyō. Takeshi picked me up at my hotel and we headed straight to Arakurayama Sengen Park for one of the best Mt. Fuji views. We also visited Fujiyoshida to see the Kanadorii Gate with a quick stop at a chiffon cake bakery (per my request). Next, we made our way to Fuji Speedway. Even though there weren’t any major events scheduled that day, I enjoyed observing practice drift sessions in one of the circuits. The view of the speedway with Mt. Fuji in the background was amazing to see. Last stop was at the Fuji Speedway Museum, where I spent a good amount of time looking through various vintage and modern cars, reading about Fuji Speedway history and browsing their shop. Takeshi was very patient and waited until I was done, then returned me back to my hotel. Overall, this tour did not disappoint. I highly recommend it for the convenience. Tour can also be customized!
From the moment my wife booked this tour Takeshi was in communication with us. We did this tour on 27th December 2024. It was a cold winters morning and Takeshi picked us up from our hotel in his epic Lexus LS460 which was pleasantly warm inside and highly appreciated. We had many great conversations from Tokyo to Mount Fuji where we visited Chureito Pagoda and then to Fuji Speedway where I lived my dream and drove an 86 around Fuji Speedway thereafter we went to the museum and seen some of the most awesome vehicles that has been on tarmac. An excellent experience that I would highly recommend. All this was planned and executed by Takeshi with such ease and efficiency. Thank you for an amazing experience and sharing your knowledge. 11/10. All the best and I hope many people take advantage of this tour. I am a Lexus/ Toyota die hard loyal customer.
