We had a wonderful experience. It was a beautiful day and were able to clearly see Mt.Fuji. Wanting was our guide and Umeda our driver, they did a great job! This was a great way to end our trip. We were very happy and we will book again when we come back to Japan.
Excellent tour, boat trip fitted well, better than we had expected. The ropeway is splendid with active geothermal activity at top. Poor visibility but we could see Fuji from our lunch stop and from the quaint village at the end of the tour. Rachel (Wanting Feng) was clear, competent and friendly throughout. A great experience.
The whole experience was amazing, unfortunately the weather on the day wasn't great but it was still worth it. The pirate ship was a particular highlight. Erik the tour guide was very funny and very informative about the area. Definitely would recommend!
It rained so we were not able to see Mount Fuji and the volcano. Our tour bus also broke down so we wasted sometime waiting for another bus. Overall it could have been a good tour since Yaturo our guide did his best to help make the tour enjoyable.
Really worth it. Lots of activities - diverse and interesting - all packed into one trip. Did not check prior, it was a public holiday so traffic back was about 1.5 hours longer. Became a 12hour trip. Hint- check if you can avoid weekends and holidays as is can be hectic at all venues.
It was a very nice trip despite the rain. Eric is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and organised. He has a good sense of humour too. We are hoping to meet him again on one of our future trips.
Mouse I did a fantastic job with our tour. He informed us of Japanese traditions and what to expect. It was a great tour! I would recommend him
Kousei was great, very helpful and caring for all on the trip. The stops along the way and changes from bus to boat to cable car were all worth the time out to see the beauty that is the grand Mount Fuli from all angles.
Great way to get out of the city and see the country side. Our tour guide Rachel had a lot of info on the history.
Long way but with experiences. Mt. Fuji is very interesting. Ààaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ggggggggg ĥhhhhhhhhhh
Great experience. Jack is knowledgeable and described each location clearly. Guide us to best viewing and fond memořÿ.
Our tour guide Racheal was very knowledgeable and fluent in English. Saw some great sights of Hakone and got a good clear view of Mount Fuji. Overall worth the money.
It can be affected by the weather. Plan ahead, check the weather & dress appropriately. Try and get a window seat.
Beautiful, all day. Jack, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and fun. We lucked out and got such amazing views of Mt. Fuji. The views from the pirate ship were amazing too.
It was a very well planned trip. With amazing sight seeing spots and well guided by Kousei. Luckily it was a sunny day and we were able to see Mt.Fuji.
Even though the weather didn’t cooperate and we had some rain, we still had a fantastic time exploring the Mt. Fuji area! Our tour guide, Eric, was amazing—informative, funny, super friendly, and made the entire experience so enjoyable. We especially appreciated all his extra recommendations for souvenirs, shopping, and things to see and do in Tokyo. He really went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great experience. Rain or shine, this was a wonderful tour, and we’d highly recommend Eric!
Every traveler in Japan must experience this tour. Very informative the scenic views are breathtaking. Our tour guide, Erik, is very knowledgeable. We had so much fun. Witty and funny. They should hire more like him
We had the most amazing day exploring Mount Fuji and Hakone, and Jack was truly the highlight of our experience. From start to finish, he was absolutely exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible day. Jack was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He didn’t just take us to the sights; he made the entire experience special. He knew all the best photo spots, helping us capture some incredible memories and beautiful pictures that we will treasure forever—-even with a rainy day! His local knowledge and thoughtful recommendations made such a difference, especially when it came to finding great food and experiencing more of what Japan has to offer. What really set Jack apart was how incredibly helpful he was, even beyond the tour itself. He took the time to help us with train information and directions, making sure we felt confident getting around. That extra level of care and kindness meant so much to us. He genuinely went the extra mile, and it was clear that his priority was making sure we had a fantastic experience. Visiting Mount Fuji and Hakone was already something special, but having Jack as our guide made it even more memorable. He made everything feel effortless, enjoyable, and stress-free, allowing us to relax and truly enjoy every moment. If you’re considering a trip to Mount Fuji and Hakone, we cannot recommend Jack highly enough. He deserves every bit of praise he receives, and we would give him ten stars if we could! Thank you, Jack, for such a wonderful day, for all your thoughtful recommendations, and for going above and beyond to help us. You made our Japan trip that much more special, and we are so grateful to have had you as our guide! 🇯🇵❤️
Well if you get Erik as your tour guy you are a lucky person. Erik is phenomenal person, great personality and a good sense of humor
Kousei was a great and friendly tour guide 10/10 definitely recommend! very interactive and great at letting us know what to buy and not to buy.
We toured with Kousei today to Mt Fuji. He was an excellent tour guide ensuring our safety and advising us with constant knowledge of each area we went through. Unfortunately it was a wet day.
The likelihood of seeing Mt Fuji is remote. A lot of time is spent in the bus because of heavy traffic. Our guide did his best, but he was under pressure to keep to a very tight time schedule . It would have been helpful to know that the lunch option requires cash. We were informed cash was needed for the boat, but not lunch. We have had more interesting tours than this one.
Kousei was great! He was an amazing guide, very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the trip. The Mount Fuji views were beautiful, and the whole experience was memorable. Highly recommend this tour!
Eric was exceptional, very professional also. We highly recommend this tour to Mount Fuji, with Eric, of course.
Our tour guide, Jack, was great. Knowledgeable, and a great sense of humor. The perfect host to keep the group together. More walking than expected.
Erik was great, we started with a clear message on the directions the day before so finding the location in the morning wa a a breeze. Erik then explained the plan for the day, when we can best see Fuji and was on hand to answer any questions we might have. At each location he gave us the best tips which helped with time management and made sure we didn't miss the best bits. Overall it's a nice day out from Tokyo with a relaxed pace. Erik was great as a host and I would recommend this tour.
Erik was awesome! He made a possibly very sad rainy cloudy day (on the south side of Mt Fuji) into a beautiful sunny bright day on the North side! He was extremely helpful in many other ways not just things on the tour but other things to do beyond here in Tokyo and neighboring towns! Never knew that each town has their own specialty Kit Kat! Would highly recommend him to future travelers! Thank you Erik for making this trip an amazing experience!
Even with a windy and cloudy morning, Captain Jack made the experience totally fun and enjoyable. We were able to see so many things that will stay core memories to me and my brother. Thanks Captain Jack!!
Eric is one of the best. He was very informative, great customer service and very professional. I definitely recommend him to all my friends when they will come visit Japan. Thank you Eric 😊
We had kousei as our tour guide, he was great. Messaged the night before to confirm, spoke great english so we could understand the instructions for the day. Was very informative about japan and the different areas. The best part was the pirate boat cruise and the cable car can get a nice view of mount fuji on a clear day. At the top of cable car you can get a chocolate muffin with dry ice so it looks like the hot springs! We also enjoyed the last stop just time went so quickly! Overall great trip to see hakone and other destinations without the need to hire a car.
Five spots on the itinerary, pick up from Tokyo Station, this tour remains on time! Captain Jack gives great commentary on the history and takes the best scenic photos. Delicious lunch option to add on, with an option suitable for vegans!
It was a very interesting and pleasant experience. Our guide Jack was very patient, informative and helpful with our group. Thanks
My family and I enjoyed the tour a lot. We visited a lot of locations which would have been overwhelming to do on our own. Our tour guide Erik gave very clear instructions which made the whole trip very simple and stress-free. His recommendations also helped a lot with picking souvenirs and snacks.
Meeting place is easy to find. The weather might change some of some of the stops. James our guide made quick calls and found other fun things to do in the area due to bad weather. Nice to have a Tour Guide that goes out of his way to make the experience fun
Kousei was a very friendly and enthusiastic tour guide. The communication and instructions before the trip started was clear, he is very helpful. We unfortunately did not see Mount Fuji, but we did get a great impression of the area around Mount Fuji. The bus ride is about 2 hours back and forth each from Tokyo.
The first half of the day was absolutely fantastic! Our tour guide did a wonderful job getting everything started and trying to keep the group on schedule. Unfortunately, things started to go downhill after we left the volcano. The itinerary began to feel unnecessarily drawn out, with stops at Swan Lake and lunch taking up a significant amount of time. The lunch was very subpar and not well explained. I wish they had been upfront about there being a lunch stop (and not until 14:30/15:00!!) that was an extra charge. I highly recommend bringing your own if you can because the food was not good… The water village was adorable and definitely worth visiting, but I think the itinerary would have been much better if the tour had skipped Swan Lake and the lunch stop, allowing everyone to head straight to the village and find food on their own if needed. Unfortunately, the later stops didn’t offer much to see, and the day ended up dragging on far longer than necessary. I also wish the tour company had been more transparent about the lunch arrangements when advertising the tour. Overall, the first half of the experience was excellent, but the second half could have been much better organized. A more streamlined itinerary and clearer communication about lunch would have made a big difference.
Had an amazing time visiting Hakone, owakudani, and Yamanashi. Our tour guide Erik was humorous and very informative making the experience even more amazing. Due to weather issues we were unable to ride the ferry and cable car, so those fees were reimbursed. We also arrived back in Tokyo later than I had anticipated so I had to cancel another evening booking I had. I highly recommend the tour and Erik our guide, but I would recommend not booking anything else say day unless it's much later in the evening.
James is the best tour guide we have ever had. He is extremely dedicated, fast and made sure that everyone had a good time. He is entertaining and energetic. I would definitely recommend this tour with James.
James made a not so great weather day a little easier to get thru and kept things interesting all day
Was fine. I usually leave 5 stars but the lunch was not good (and it’s extra), lunch area & souvenir shop stop, which I assume are related to tour operator, were run down. Some stops not worth it. A lot of time on the bus, but seeing the outside of the city was nice. The cable car / rope way ride to the volcanic valley was interesting. Overall, it was ok if you have a free day, not top of the list.
This tour was definitely more focused on sightseeing than history, so if you’re looking for cinematic views and picturesque photo spots, this is the tour for you! The first drive out of the city was manageable at about 1.5 hours to Hakone Shrine, located along the shores of Lake Ashi. The shrine was quite popular, but our tour guide did a nice job explaining the etiquette of entering a shrine and praying, which we appreciated. The pirate ship cruise across Lake Ashi was a highlight, followed by the cable car ride to see Mount Fuji and the active volcanic area. We honestly wished we had just grabbed lunch at the café near this stop because we felt we could have headed back to Tokyo after seeing these highlights. The additional stops felt a little unnecessary. We visited a swan lake area that didn’t add much to the experience, followed by a restaurant and shop where we felt pressured to purchase things. The tour also ran behind schedule, and we didn’t leave until closer to 5:30 p.m. With traffic, the bus ride back to Tokyo took around three hours, and we didn’t arrive until 8:30 p.m. What we expected to be a 10-hour day turned into nearly 12 hours. Overall, it was a memorable experience with some beautiful scenery and worthwhile highlights, but we were a little disappointed by the unnecessary stops, shopping pressure, and longer-than-expected day. I’d recommend it for the views, but be prepared for a long day with more sightseeing than cultural or historical depth.
Nice smooth tour. Lots to see. Family friendly. I would recommend this trip. We had perfect weather on our day so Mt Fuji could be seen clearly from almost all of our stops.
Wonderful experience! Rachel was a charming and very well informed guide. She kept us moving along at what were many stops and answered every question! We even had the good fortune of seeing Mt. Fuji from many angles. Highest recommendation for Rachel!
Highly recommend this tour! It was well paced, included lots of great activities and locations! Eric is a great guide: very knowledgeable and generous with his time and knowledge. The combo made a phenomenal experience
Tour was excellent but a bit long. Tour guide Jack was excellent and very knowledgeable. There was a traffic incident which kept the bus stationery for a long time but he asked everyone if it was ok to go later in the day. He only cut out one activity. He only cut out one activity
Erik was a wonderful tour guide. Very friendly, very knowledgeable! A perfect day in the Mt Fuji area. The gondola ride and the pirate ship was nice
Our guide Erik was great. We received excellent communication before the day we spent with him. On the your he was a wealth of knowledge as well as being light/funny. We spent a while day on the your and got to see so much that wouldn't have happened if we tried to do this on our own
Our tour guide Erik was brilliant. He was very friendly, charsimatic and knowledgeable. He helped everybody at each stop, gave tips and advice, explained local knowledge and told jokes on the bus to make it fun. The whole experience was great.
Awesome way to cover lots of places around Tokyo in a day! The tour ia totally worth it for those who have less day in Tokyo. Jack was our host and he did every thing right from onboarding to describing each activity and guiding us through the whole journey. About the trip itself, if you have a week or so, you can easily spend a day or two at each location. But if you have only a day or two in Tokyo, this is my favourite one. I did the same tour alone for first time and liked it so much that brought my family on the trip during subsequent trips to Japan. I definetly recommend this.
