Located in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine is a historic Shinto shrine best known for its iconic Chureito Pagoda, offering one of the most breathtaking views of Mount Fuji—especially during the cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons. The shrine dates back over 1,300 years and is part of the traditional pilgrimage route up Mount Fuji. Interesting Facts: The 397-step climb to the pagoda rewards visitors with one of Japan’s most photographed panoramas. It’s part of the Fuji Five Lakes region, symbolizing the harmony between nature and spirituality. The shrine is dedicated to Konohanasakuya-hime, the goddess of Mount Fuji and blossoms, representing beauty and new beginnings.
Nestled at the northern base of Mount Fuji, Kawaguchi Lake is one of Japan’s most picturesque destinations. Famous for its stunning reflections of Fuji, the lake offers year-round beauty—from cherry blossoms in spring to colorful autumn leaves. Visitors can enjoy sightseeing cruises, relaxing hot springs, and panoramic views from the Mt. Fuji Ropeway. With charming cafes, museums, and lakeside walks, Kawaguchi Lake is the perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers alike—an ideal base to experience the majesty of Mount Fuji up close.
Located on the western shore of Lake Saiko, this charming open-air museum recreates a traditional Japanese village with thatched-roof houses set against Mount Fuji’s stunning backdrop. Each restored home features local crafts, workshops, galleries, and cafés where visitors can experience traditional culture firsthand. A peaceful spot to learn, explore, and enjoy authentic Japanese countryside charm.
Oishi Park is a beautiful lakeside park located on the northern shore of **Lake Kawaguchi**, offering some of the best panoramic views of **Mount Fuji**. Famous for its vibrant seasonal flower gardens, especially the iconic **lavender fields** that bloom from June to July, the park is a favorite spot for photographers and nature lovers. With walking paths along the lake, picnic areas, and cafés, Oishi Park is perfect for a relaxing stroll while soaking in the stunning Fuji scenery. It’s especially popular during sunrise and sunset when Mount Fuji reflects spectacularly on the calm lake waters. Ideal for families and couples, Oishi Park combines natural beauty with peaceful recreation just a short walk from Kawaguchi town center.
Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine is a historic and spiritually significant shrine located at the northern entrance of Mount Fuji in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Established centuries ago, it served as the traditional starting point for pilgrims climbing Mount Fuji from the north side. The shrine is dedicated to **Konohanasakuya-hime**, the goddess of Mount Fuji and volcanoes, and features beautiful traditional architecture, serene forest surroundings, and large ancient cedar trees. Visitors come here to pray for safe climbs, good fortune, and to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Kitaguchi Shrine offers a unique cultural experience and a glimpse into Japan’s rich mountain worship traditions, making it a meaningful stop for those exploring the Fuji Five Lakes area.
Oshino Hakkai, meaning “Eight Ponds of Oshino,” is a picturesque village near Mount Fuji famous for its eight crystal-clear spring-fed ponds. These ponds are fed by the melted snow from Mount Fuji, filtered naturally through volcanic lava, resulting in incredibly pure and clear water. The ponds are surrounded by traditional thatched-roof houses, quaint shops, and local food stalls, offering a charming glimpse of rural Japan. Oshino Hakkai is a popular spot for strolling, photography, and sampling fresh spring water believed to have healing properties. This serene village is perfect for visitors wanting to experience traditional culture and nature while enjoying stunning views of Mount Fuji in a peaceful setting.
Gotemba Premium Outlets is one of Japan’s largest and most popular outlet shopping malls, located in Gotemba City, at the southeastern base of Mount Fuji. Known for its spacious open-air layout and stunning views of Mount Fuji, the outlet offers over 200 stores featuring both international and Japanese brands, including luxury fashion, sportswear, accessories, and lifestyle goods. Shoppers can find great discounts on high-quality products from brands like Nike, Coach, Prada, and more. The mall also has a variety of restaurants and cafes, making it a perfect place to spend a full day shopping, dining, and enjoying the scenery. Gotemba Premium Outlets is easily accessible by bus from Tokyo and the Fuji Five Lakes area, making it a popular stop for travelers looking to combine shopping with sightseeing around Mount Fuji.
Stroll through the stunning Maple Corridor, one of Kawaguchiko’s most famous autumn spots. The path is lined with brilliant red and golden maple trees that create a magical tunnel of color. Enjoy a peaceful walk along the stream, capture beautiful photos with Mt. Fuji in the background, and experience the warm, seasonal atmosphere of the Autumn Leaves Festival with local food and craft stalls.

Highly recommend guided private trip to Mt. Fuji and surrounding area. Our guide Naoki was excellent and knew sll the good sightseeing spots.
It was excellent. Adnan was professional and very knowledgeable. He took great care to understand what our priorities and desires were, then designed an itinerary to maximize our experience. It was fantastic, everything that we were able to see and do. He is also a skilled photographer, he helped me compose and create some incredible photos. He also guided us to a fantastic restaurant for lunch. The entire experience exceeded our expectations. I strongly recommend Adnan and would use him again.
It was a amazing experience and the driver was very helping in nature. It was a very good trip and recommended to other travelers also.
A wonderful day with Jone exploring the Mt Fuji area. Highly recommend for a smooth day with lots of interesting cultural stops along the way.
Jamy did great job, we are very happy with him.
You are very lucky if you actually get to see Mt Fuji. However, optional surrounding areas are impressive.
We had a wonderful day exploring Tokyo and surrounds with Naoki. We started our morning hoping to be able to see Mt Fuji and other landmarks. The weather was terrible however, so we decided to cut short our Mt Fuji trip and pivot back to Tokyo. We had some personally meaningful places we wanted to visit in Tokyo and Naoki helped us to achieve this which was very special. When the weather is as bad as it was that day it really makes you appreciate having your own customisable tour. Naoki is really helpful and we recommend him highly.
The tour was great. Reja was very helpful and took us to the most relevant sites for us including the ice caves. We also had an amazing day where we could see Mt Fuji which was great. Highly recommend the tour with Reja.
John is incredible guide, drive and is compassionate to the needs of my family being a family man himself. He speaks six languages and touring with him was the highlight of our trip. We have had other private tour drivers in other countries, John surpassed them all.
Reja was a terrific guide and driver. Really nice to be picked up from the hotel especially with elderly parents. Saw some lovely hidden gems. The itinerary was modified to accommodate an overcast day but still saw Mt. Fuji briefly!
Reja was a terrific guide. He was super nice and provided lots of insights and showed us some hidden treasures. The itinerary was planned to make the most of the overcast day but we were still able to see Mt. Fuji briefly!
Rana was my driver and from the start he was incredible always recommending stuff for me . I was able to customize the itinerary so I was able to use their itinerary and also do some of the other stuff I wanted to do as well. He helped take picture when asked and was very social throughout the whole experience. Please book with him!
This trip was so enjoyable. I booked a private tour so I could go at my pace. Ken was a great educator about the culture and land. His English was well spoken, and he was ready to move to the next stop as soon as I was. I don't have much time to spend in Japan and every minute counts. This day trip was well worth it.
Rana gave us a great great experience! We enjoyed the day!
5/5- good driver; Rana knows his history; takes really good pictures. I would recommend
Family really enjoyed the experience. Our driver Rana was great, super friendly. He took us to great places. We really enjoyed beautiful Shiraito no taki water falls. I would definitely request for Rana on our next trip back to Japan.
Reja was a wonderful tour guide. Had a great time. Highly recommended it.
Had an amazing trip with Rana on a day trip to Mount fuji. He arrived promptly on time for our pickup and had a great itinerary that showed us Mount Fuji and all the surrounding attractions. He also gave a good overview of the places and helped take great pictures for our memories. The vehicle was new and very spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend this tour from Tokyo.
Amazing experience with Reja and Sakura Tokyo. They accommodated last minute booking, provided an excellent vehicle and very easy to communicate and plan with. Reja was an excellent guide and had top notch recommendations. Everyone in the family had a great time. Thank you!
We had the absolute best experience exploring Mount Fuji with Kuzi as our guide. From start to finish, he was incredibly knowledgeable, insightful, friendly, and efficient. He knew all the best viewpoints, hidden gems, photo spots, and local details that made the entire trip feel seamless and unforgettable. What really stood out was how genuinely passionate he was about the area and how well he balanced keeping us on schedule while still making the experience feel relaxed and personal. Every stop felt thoughtfully planned, and we learned so much throughout the day. If you’re planning a Mount Fuji day trip, Kuzi is an absolute must-have as your tour guide. Truly one of the highlights of our Japan trip.
Experience was very smooth and easy with our driver, Kuzi, he picked us up on time and gave very solid recommendations on where to go to see the best views of Mount Fuji. On the drive there and at the sites, he shared a lot of history and interesting facts and gave us ample time to visit each location. The max admission fee for any location was 500 yen per person. Our guide, Kuzi, picked us up in a timely manner and we were able to avoid the crowds for the most part. The views were incredible at each location and this was best for getting great family photos and learning about the history with the ease of traveling in a private car.
Well worth the pay. Rana is very knowledgeable of the geographical area. We had a rainy day and he gave us options that kept us dry. The clouds eventually parted and we were able to Mt Fuji in all of her beautiful glory.
Road with Rana. Rana is a great tour guide and super cool guy. He took us to many different places and made sure we had wonderful views. He is incredibly knowledgeable and told us all about the different areas along the way. Rana also helped me find an amazing spot to propose to my fiancé. 10/10 experience, worth every penny, request Rana.
We were very pleased with our private and customized tour today. Our tour guide, Rana, was very knowledgeable and helpful. The Mount Fuji trip was wonderful. We were very pleased with how he informed us a day in advance and how he informed us just 5 minutes before picking us up. I highly recommend him to everyone. Thank you, Rana. I hope our paths cross again someday.
Ken was very pleasant and punctual. He was an awesome guide and extremely knowledgeable. My family and I feel we made the best decision for our limited time by booking this tour! Definitely a 5 star review!
The tour was amazing! Hideki was very patient and gentle. He took some beautiful pictures of us and drove us to a breathtaking lake with a privileged view of the Fuji. We also went to a traditional village, which was very nice too.
Reja was our driver for the Mount Fuji tour, and he made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. He was punctual, friendly, and handled the journey with great care. We had enough time to explore places without feeling rushed. Thanks to Reja, the trip was comfortable, relaxing, and truly memorable. Highly recommended.
It was just my husband and I and we did a 10 hour customizable tour to Mt. Fuji. We had a wonderful time and our guide Rejaul was amazing! He was very informative on local sights and traditions. He recommended things we never would have thought of and was perfect in every way. Thank you! Ken and Lisa Pratt U.S.A.

I had a fantastic Mount Fuji tour with Reja. The trip was well organized, with beautiful scenic stops and just the right pace to enjoy everything without feeling rushed. Reja was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared interesting insights that made the experience even better.
Very good mr Adam was driver he took to the places where we had to go.
We had a great day in Mt.Fuji with Ken. He showed the most popular spots in that area. I strongly recommend this tour.
We had an incredible time on the Fuji tour! There’s no way we could have covered so many beautiful spots in one day without this experience and our guide Reja. He was very friendly, patient, and made everything feel easy and stress-free. The views of Mount Fuji were absolutely stunning, and he made sure we got the best photo spots at the right times. The tour had a perfect balance of guidance and free time to explore on our own. It was a bit busy in some areas, but that’s expected for such a popular destination—and he handled it really well. Overall, it was a memorable and perfectly organized trip that we will never forget.
Our tour to Mt.Fuji was well organized and we enjoyed from our guide. Ken explained and gave interesting insights about spots.
Ken was very welcoming and knowledgeable, giving us plenty of time to explore the locations of interest on our day tour. Thanks Ken
We had a fantastic experience on the Mt. Fuji full-day private tour from Tokyo (with English-speaking driver). The tour was very well organized and covered the key scenic and cultural highlights in a comfortable and enjoyable way. A special thank you to Adam. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about Japanese culture. His explanations were clear and interesting, and he truly made the whole experience memorable. Highly recommend this tour — especially with Adam as your guide and driver!
We had a great experience with our tour guide Adam! He gave use a customized tour through different areas around mt. Fuji showing beautiful views of the mountain and surrounding
Rama was our tour guide and was fabulous. My wife and I spent nearly 8 hours immersing ourselves into the fabric of Tokyo. We hit all major sites and experiences on our rather long list. Rama was extremely well informed, thoughtful, kind and tireless. The efficiency with which we covered this enormous city was beyond our expectations. We could not have asked for more. Highly recommend a private tour with Rama leading it.
Adam was an amazing driver, he took us to some breathtaking places. His English was perfect. He was so patient with us and so helpful. We went to this little village in Mt Fuji Saiko Nenba village, Narusawa ice caves, beautiful Lake Kawagachi with a flowers and Gotemba premium outlets. We loved the experience and would highly recommend Adam.
Booked the private tour to Mount Fuji. Unfortunately didn’t get to see the mountain due to weather, but our tour guide and driver Jason still made our experience memorable. He was super knowledgeable about Japan history and culture and shared his knowledge with us during the tour. He took us to beautiful landmarks - still worth a trip without mt Fuji- although bummed we didn’t see it!
We had a really good experience exploring sights around Mt. Fuji. We were shown multiple spots giving us different angles of Mt. Fuji, and a good variety of experiences such as museums, gardens, tasty bites, market places, shrines. Our tour guide Rana was excellent - prompt, flexible, informative and kind towards, giving us the time we needed to make the most of our day. He was very easy to talk to, and provided us a lot of information about the spots as well as Japanese culture. He was welcoming to us as a family of three traveling with a small child. We would definitely recommend Rana and this experience to future explorers!
Had a great time with my family. Adam was really helpful, patient and polite throughout the trip.. thank you
Had a great day with Jason. Left a 7am from hotel. Knowledgeable guy, did all we needed to and had enough time. It was Sunday and was busy. Only advice to others is try not go on Sunday, it took double the time to get back because of traffic.
It is difficult to rate this trip because of the horrendous weather we experienced. It poured rain for the whole day which made it impossible to see My Fuji, but also made all outdoor activities unpleasant. The driver was pleasant and tried his best, but there was nothing he could do. The only real negative was a visit to the Ice Cave, which was seriously DANGEROUS, in the wet and slippery conditions. We turned back after 10 minutes. Given the conditions, maybe the driver could have substituted some other (indoor) activities, but I don't know enough about the area to say if this was possible. Keep in mind that this trip is VERY weather-dependent before booking
