Busy but extensive tour seeing Mt Fuji from all angles. Kate was super enthusiastic and organised and always made sure we knew where to meet and where to go.

Lake Ashi, a serene lake surrounded by mountains, is the iconic symbol of Hakone. It was formed around 3,000 years ago following an eruption of Mt. Kami. Thanks to its volcanic springs, Lake Ashi never freezes in winter. The lake offers stunning views of Mt. Fuji, which are well-known and celebrated. Visitors can enjoy the Hakone Sightseeing Cruise while taking in the beautiful scenery!
Cross Lake Ashi on the Hakone Sightseeing Cruise, inspired by European battleships, enjoy your short trip on the lake, and take in the stunning natural beauty surrounding the lake. On clear days, you can view Mt. Fuji in the distance, while the bright red torii gate of Hakone Shrine can be seen from the deck, creating a memorable sight. Please note that we don't include the Hakone Sightseeing Cruise ticket. Please prepare some cash.
Owakudani is a volcanic valley formed approximately 3,000 years ago and is recognized as a geological wonder. It has become a popular sightseeing destination, allowing visitors to witness continuous volcanic activity up close. You can truly feel the power of nature as you watch smoke billowing from the surface of the volcano. Be sure to try the local specialty, the black eggs, which can only be found here. These eggs are steamed over sulfurous water, which gives them their characteristic pure-black shell. It is said that eating one of these eggs could extend your life by seven years.
The Hakone Ropeway is a main form of transportation in the Hakone area. The ropeway will pass through Owakudani, offering panoramic views of the volcanic landscape. On clear days, you can catch a magnificent view of Mount Fuji from both Owakudani and the ropeway. As you ride, you'll witness the bottom of the Owakudani valley, along with sulfuric smoke rising from it. The desolate mountainside, enveloped in plumes of smoke, creates a striking scene that reflects the area's former name: Hell Valley. Once you disembark from the cable car, you'll be greeted by the distinctive smell of sulfur and see steam rising into the sky.
Oshino Hakkai is a World Heritage Site known for its eight clear springs, which are formed by the snowmelt from Mt. Fuji. It is recognized as one of the "100 Famous Waters of Japan." Taste the magical spring water for free, feel its sweetness and purity, and experience the legend of longevity. Take a stroll through the village, enjoy stunning views of Mount Fuji, and get a glimpse of traditional rural life in Japan. Taste traditional Japanese food and desserts, such as udon, soba noodles, kusamochi, and kushidango.
Famous park in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. It's known as one of the 21 places that photographers from all over the world must visit in their lifetime. The Chureito Pagoda is a five-storied pagoda on the mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City and Mount Fuji. To reach the pagoda, visitors must climb nearly 400 steps, but the panoramic view from the top is considered one of the best in Japan.
Built in 705 and has a history of more than 1,300 years. It is a holy place to pray for well-being and family happiness. In 807, Mount Fuji erupted on a large scale, and society fell into panic. The shrine held a grand Mount Fuji Fire Control Ceremony, praying for peace and prosperity for the nation and for Mount Fuji to return to a state of tranquility.

Kate was phenomenal!!!! The tour was incredible… We had perfect views of Mt Fuji throughout the journey. .
Great tour despite the day starting out rough with late arrivals and rain. Our tour guide Kate was excellent. She provided a helpful, informative narrative to our stops. We had a full bus with a very large single group and she kept everyone organized. The traditional Japanese village was quaint and inviting. Seeing Mt. Fuji was the highlight despite the day starting off with rain. This is a typical large bus style tour, so you must be comfortable with strangers but totally worth it.
Great tour and well managed. Kate was an absolute ⭐. I'm pleased to have picked this tour. It will not disappoint.
Pin was the best guide for a wonderful day visiting Mt Fuji! From the early morning pick up to the history lessons on the bus ride to the attentiveness he showed at each site, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The clouds cleared just in time for a view of the mountain at the end of the tour. It was a perfect day!
We booked this tour knowing that it would be really tough for us to get to all the places listed on the itinerary on our own. It was a great day out and we were given lots of time at each stop to explore and take photos. Our guide, Kate, was so lovely and had a great sense of humour!
Amazing experience!! I highly recommend. Best tour guide ever. A lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes
A long but enjoyable day. Katie was a great guide and very informative . There were some lovely touches too like providing kimonos for the ladies to have memorable photo. Lots of lovely scenery and we were lucky enough to get wonderful views of Mount Fuji
Kate was absolutely amazing! She made our day visiting Mount Fuji, Hakone, Owakudani, Chureito Pagoda, and Oshino Hakkai so enjoyable and memorable. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made everything feel effortless. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommend Kate!
Amazing tour with great stops and great activities. Kate is an amazing tour guide. I've taken another Mt. Fuji tour from Tokyo and it did not compare with this one! Also the price is 🤯🤯🤯🤯
There was a good balance of activities and every location was spectacular. Wear sensible shoes as there was a bit of walking. The guide was very knowledgeable, keen to provide history of the locations and general knowledge and was very helpful with traveling tips.
Kate did an excellent job with the tour. Even though it was very rainy and we couldn’t see Mount Fuji, we still enjoyed our time at each stop. Kate was very helpful and even gifted us a few small items. I would love to come back again in better weather and do the tour again.
The experience was phenomenal and i would love to come to the tour again. I got to see Mt. Fuji, and its was such a beautiful sight.
Very nice tour! Well organized, you will see some of the beautiful places of Japan near Mount Fuji including a small cruise with a fun pirate ship on the lake, breathtaking views, local food, traditional village and the guide Kathy is very friendly and you can feel that she loves what she does! Strongly recommended!
It was our first time visiting Hakone, Owakudani, Oshino Hakkai, and Arakurayama Sengen Park. The tour was well planned and tightly organized. An, our tour guide, was great at giving an overview of each place and recommend what to do/see/eat/buy. Even with some unforseen traffic preventing the bus from picking up at the top station of the Hakone Ropeway, An quickly reorganized and got everyone to the bus efficiently. Bus itself was clean and with AC, which is a must during the summer. Overall, it was a great experience, especially if you want to visit the highlights, go to a good viewpoint for Mt. Fuji, and don't want to worry about itinerary and transportation.
Augustin did a great Job. Thank you for this 10/10 Day:)
We had an awesome experience, the weather was perfect with clear view of Mount Fuji. Although the time allowed to go up and down the top for the panoramic view of Mount Fuji was relatively short, we were able to make it on time.
Keiko was wonderful and very informative making it easy to navigate around the sites. Great tour to do with teenagers as lots of interesting activities and exercise.
Our guide Christie (nickname from Agatha) was very nice and professional. All went as scheduled, we saw even a little bit of Fuji even it was cloudy.
All places visited in the tour were great, although the bad weather we enjoyed it. Belle was very kind and patience with us, all the time she gave us clear directions and keep us informed :)
Great day out visiting Mount Fuji with our guide Kate. Helpful information shared in advance. The weather was on our side, so we were able to go on the cruise and we got great views of Fuji, particularly at the village and by the pagoda. There were nice little touches added by Kate throughout the day, such as pointing out stamps to collect along the way and others. Highly recommend.
Our group had a great time touring Hakone/Mt Fuji/Oshino today. Kate, the tour guide was awesome. We were able many places and the view of Mount Fuji was spectacular.
Fantastic experience, we visited Hakone and Mount Fuji; I highly recommend it with Belle, who is a very good and very nice guide 🫶🏻
