Yoshi was awesome!! I booked this tour because my boyfriend loves whiskey (I do not) but we both ended up having an amazing time and learned so much about Japanese whiskey and culture. Yoshi’s English was great as well. We are booking the sake tour with him for later in our trip.

I booked this as a surprise for my husband for our honeymoon and the reviews were right, this tour did NOT disappoint! Shugo was an AMAZING tour guide, we learned so much about japanese whiskeys and japanese culture in general. We’re in our 30s so we knew we didn’t wanna do a boozy bar crawl but this was definitely the perfect vibe for us, both bars were intimate and moody, the 2nd bar was definitely my favorite: great music, bespoke collection of whiskeys. Thank you Shugo for such a memorable experience!!

Yoshi gave me such a great experience from start to finish. He is very fun to talk to, knowledgable about whiskey and picks the perfect combinations to show you the world of japanese whiskey even going as far as to reccommend some particular whiskies that suited my tatstes as the tour went on. Not only will you have a great time but Yoshi goes beyond the expectations I had for the tour with a really special suprise at the end. If you are in Tokyo, want to explore some unique private bars with a locale and enjoy the unquie experince of japanese whiskey then this is the tour you cannot miss!

This is an excellent bar experience and whiskey tasting. The timing makes it a pre-game for a night out or a lovely way to end your day. The guide is fun and keeps it low-key. The private bars provide a wonderful window into Tokyo night life.

What a great trip. Hayato was fantastic. Great guide took us to 2 whisky bars and helped us discover some fantastic rare whisky. This tour is a must for any whisky lovers.

We had a great evening with a very knowledgeable guide! If you want to experience a bit of the real Tokyo and some amazing whiskey this is the tour for you! Hayato was on time exactly where he told us to meet up so there was no stress. Although we are not Japanese whiskey experts, Hayato is and was able to guide us to taste some of the best whiskey on the planet! Visited two very classy bars that we would never have found ourselves. Don’t miss this opportunity!

We had an absolutely fantastic time on this tour. It was everything we wanted to find in a whiskey tour of Tokyo/Japan. We started by meeting our host, Koki, in Ebisu at 8 PM, from there, we visited two local whiskey bars that did not disappoint, ended up staying out until the last train would take us back home. Koki was an excellent host and by the end of the evening, a good friend. His passion for whiskey and his company really shown through. Each bar was a great local bar with less than 15 total seats, there is no way you would be able to find or get into either our if you were not a local, it was like being in our own neighborhood. The first bar was A really nice way to start the night, the bar was not intimidating and quiet, The bar owner was quiet and clearly wanted to help us find some whiskeys that we had not had before and would enjoy. My wife and I tried a few including some Fuji whiskeys all were very good. The next stop was even more fantastic, the bar set up was a bit more to our liking sitting at the counter, talking, not only with Koki but with the bar owner. The passion, both of them had for the whiskeys, that chase of rare bottles, and the different flavors Was great. It felt like talking to my friends at home about our bottle chases. We ended up getting to try a few rare bottles (Lucky Cat, Yamazakura Asaka Sakura Cask, and three from Ichiro’s malt…MWR, Double Distillers, and Red Wine Reserve). My wife really enjoys a tiki/tropical/fruity gin and the bartender recommended Komasa Gin in an orange flavor which was also great. Both Koki and the bar owner shared some of their favorite places to go find rare bottles in and around the city and other bar options throughout Tokyo and Japan. We are looking forward to going to chase a few rare bottles and visit some of the other whiskey bars around Tokyo. I simply can’t recommend this tour enough if you want to meet some great people with deep passion for whiskeys.

Hayato was an excellent tour-guide! We had a really nice and pleasant time together with him. We tried different types of japanese whiskies in two bars in Ebisu that were a bit off the beaten track! Hayato was so nice and friendly. He gave us a lot of information on the drinking culture in Japan and beyond! We really enjoyed the tour! Thanks a lot again Hayato!!

We had an amazing time with an excellent guide. We stopped at two bars: a speakeasy and a hard core whiskey bar. Both we excellent and offered whiskies to suit any taste. Fyi, as always in Tokyo, wear comfortable shoes, as you'll do a bit of walking. Highly recommended

Very fun tour in a less traveled piece of Tokyo. Hayato felt like an old friend taking you around to his favorite spots. He provided good advice and fun discussion about whisky. Enjoyed and would recommend this tour for anyone who likes Japanese whisky or wants to learn.

We had a great time with our host Hayato He took us to two very interesting whisky bars, both bars had a wide variety of different whiskies in particular our last stop. Hayato did his best to make us feel comfortable and well informed. He is passionate about Japanese whisky and even presented us with a lovely gift at the end of our wonderful evening together.

A fun time exploring hard to find bars and trying some harder to find local whiskeys. Definitely worth trying if you're trying to learn about the history of Japanese whiskey. Be prepared to buy some extra drinks after your first 5.

Yoshiki was an awesome tour guide! Very friendly and chill. It felt like I was going out for drinks with a good friend. He is also very knowledgeable of Japanese whiskey, so it was really cool learning everything he knew. The bars we went to were these really cool hidden gems. Highly recommend to anyone.

Highly recommended!! Koki was the perfect host.. we enjoyed both bars and felt that we had an experience that we could not have achieved on our own.

The members only bar experience is pretty unique and we end up finding whiskeys we otherwise would not have been able to find on our own!

Koki was the host for me and he was a great conversationalist and also was very thoughtful with each whiskey he recommended. Was also nice to get his perspective on Japanese culture and explain the whiskeys that come from each region of Japan. Thanks for a fun time Koki!

Our host Yuichi was very personable and made the experience feel like a night out with a friend. The two bars we were brought to were both exceptional. Wonderful service and very chill vibes. Highly recommend

The bars we visited were incredible and the guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We had the drinks explained to us very well and got to experience the best of Japanese whisky. If there’s one thing you do while you’re here make it this tour

Had a great time trying whiskey (and gin) with Yuichi. Both bartenders I met were knowledgeable and friendly and Yuichi did a great job translating for me. I was the only one on the tour, so it felt like hanging out with a friend in their home town. What a great way to start my trip to Japan!

Koki is our young guide of the tour and he takes us to two bars that is hard to find in the city. He is knowledgable about whiskey and suggested with the help of the bartender some brands we have never tried before and enjoyed. He also tried to understand what we need and provided his recommendation during the tour and after. I would suggest this tour to those who like to learn more about Japanese Whisky and visit some secret gems in the city.

Koki was great host. We visited 2 whisky bars that you would never find alone in Tokyo. He took the time to ask me my tastes and spoke to the bartenders so that I got to sample some great Japanese whisky. Koki also went above and beyond with a gift to take home and also the next day texted me with a recommendation for a tattoo friendly sento. Highly recommended

As someone who is getting into whiskey and has never had Japanese whiskey before, this tour was not only interesting but also enlightening. Learned about the different distilleries in Japan and types of whiskey. And, of course, trying the whiskeys was fun. Koki, the guide, is a very cool and casual guy who answered many questions on Japanese whiskeys. He also is fun to talk with about other things as well.

As a big fan of classy bars and whisky, this tour stood out to me. After having done a tour with these guys before, naturally I did pick them again. Koki is probably the best tour guide I've had in Tokyo. Meeting him was easy and the bars we went to were pretty amazing, can definitely say I will visit one or two of them myself next time I find myself in Tokyo.

Koki was a fantastic guide and a very sweet person. He brought us in Ebisu in two fantastic cozy bars that people wouldn't find by themselves. The owners were fantastic and open to talk with us about types of drinks and brand. We were able to taste some of them without any charges. The service, in both case, was outstanding. Kouki proposed to share his best addresses in Tokyo for drinks and restaurant if we needed and was very considerate with us in general during the whole experience. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a cozy experience in some hidden bar in Tokyo, to meet people who love to talk about japanese whiskies.

We were super well advised by Hayato and the two bars in Whisky was really great. We discovered Japanese whiskeys that we didn’t know and that matched the flavors we were looking for. It was a lovely evening stroll in Tokyo. The delicious drinks and snacks we had at the two izakayas were amazing. The night view of Tokyo was a highlight. We went to two places, Shibuya and Shinjuku. Both were amazing, just like in the movies. It was a fun experience. I'd definitely like to go back again if I have the chance later.
