Matcha Kimono Tea Ceremony In Tokyo

We enjoy the experiment. Hannah was a great teacher. She was very nice, and patient.

The whole experience was amazing! The dressing with the kimono and getting our hair done made it feel truly authentic. Loved the photo props. Matcha tea ceremony was great.

This is more like an educational class, not an official tea ceremony!! It was cool but if you want an authentic tea ceremony, go elsewhere! It was also kind of hard to find and would prefer a more clear pick up spot.

Wonderful informational on matcha & kimonos. My husband and I felt like we learned so much and got a piece of the Japanese culture. 10/10 recommend!!!

Fantastic experience!!! Exceeded our expectations and was very enjoyable. Good for matcha fans or folks who enjoy history

Our Instructor is extremely knowledgeable and even has his own matcha he sells. It was a great experience!

The overall experience was good especially if you didn’t know much about Matcha or green tea. The instructor and assistant was nice enough. My only gripes was not making sure the kimonos were properly adorned for quality pictures. Also I thought we would be crushing leaves.

This place was difficult to find, on getting to the address I found no one ther, not even the picture on the map. Very disappointing to take my money without providing the service. Shame. I would have to very wary going forward with this app. Why didn’t post all your guidelines before collecting payment ?

Great educational and cultural experience with Tokyo Matcha Experience. Learnt a lot about the right way to make matcha and understand the rules as well. Highly recommend it!

Komei was a great host, he really knows about real matcha. We were surprised of how informative this experience was, it was not only the "ceremony tea" but a deep insight on why should we eat tea the health way. Thank you, arigato!

An excellent experience, our group learned a ton about matcha, while also getting the chance to learn about the traditional Japanese tea ceremony and the meaning behind it. Absolutely amazing experience!

This was a great experience. We got to learn all about matcha! We got to wear kimonos and learn all about the tea ceremonies and Japanese culture.

Really appreciated all of the history and background on matcha. Easy to get to get to and very friendly host! Learned so much that I will take with me when I drink matcha in the future.

Komei and Kouno-san were great. I learned lots about matcha and developments in matcha. A relaxed atmosphere and informative experience in an easy to access place. Hope to meet Komei again!

I had such a memorable and eye-opening time with Komei during the matcha and kimono experience! From the moment it began, his passion for matcha was contagious—you can tell he truly lives up to his nickname, the “Matcha Maniac.” Komei took the time to explain the differences between real and fake matcha, the grades, and how to properly prepare and enjoy it. As someone who already enjoys making matcha, I was surprised by how much I learned. It deepened my appreciation for the process and the tradition behind it. Trying on kimonos and taking photos added such a beautiful and immersive cultural touch. Komei made the entire experience feel warm, personal, and fun. If you’re even slightly interested in matcha, culture, or simply looking for a unique and meaningful experience in Japan, this is a must. Thank you, Komei, for sharing your knowledge and joy—you’ve made me love matcha even more!

Very informative, very friendly, very fast, and most of all extremely tasty. The people helping will answer all questions you can think of.

The experience was very fun and very informational, our instructors answered all our questions and made sure we were doing everything correctly, would highly recommend.

I had an absolutely fantastic time at the matcha making and kimono wearing workshop! From start to finish, it was a memorable experience. Komai, the host, was amazing — so friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. He shared a wealth of fascinating facts about matcha and its rich history. You could really tell that he was passionate about the craft and wanted to make sure we learned something new and meaningful. The hands-on matcha-making session was a highlight! We were able to prepare our own matcha in the traditional way, and it was such a rewarding experience. The process was calming and meditative, and Komai guided us every step of the way. The kimono-wearing experience was also so much fun. It was the perfect blend of cultural immersion and personal learning, and I left feeling like I had gained a deeper appreciation for both matcha and Japanese tradition.

Booking the Matcha and Kimono experience with my family was one of the best decisions we made as part of exploring Tokyo! There were different segments and we were given so much of information. We also got to wear the kimono and made our own matcha! Komai was a wonderful host and took care of us. Will definitely recommend!

So informative and tasty. The matcha was great and the learning about the process was amazing! Great teacher and atmosphere!!

This was an amazing family experience with Komei. I would definitely recommend this for a fun yet educational experience!!! Come here plz!
