I had the most wonderful experience leaning about sushi ingredients and sushi stiles! I made sushi for the first time and enjoyed the process and eating it! Very authentic experience with samurai outfits and swords! This really made my Japan trip! I highly recommend anyone experience the magic! Thank you so much!

I had such a wonderful time at Sushi Jin Asakusa! The sushi-making class was so much fun and very informative. The games made the whole experience even more special, and I really loved how creative and unique this concept is. The Japanese variety show-style games were such a fun and memorable touch! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, and I truly enjoyed every moment of the experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try making sushi, learn more about Japanese cuisine, and experience a fun “shogun for a day” adventure!

One of the most memorable experiences I’ve had in Japan! This was much more than a sushi-making class—it was a fun journey into Japanese culture and history, inspired by the era of the samurai and shoguns. The interactive games and challenges between participants made the experience even more enjoyable and unique. It was my first time making sushi, and learning from a skilled expert was both fun and educational. A big thank you to the entire team for their warm hospitality, great organization, and positive energy. I went to try the vegan Shogun course. I didn’t have huge expectations, but the experience was organized in a very fun way. It is 2h long and the food experience is combined with (tasty) games and entertainment. I thought the vegan sushi ingredients can be a bit more creative but the staff was glad to receive feedback and improvement ideas (and I’m sure they are taking it seriously) so I’ll give 5 stars for encouragement!

I’ve tried so many sushi places before, but this one just hits different. It wasn’t just about the food, it was a whole masterclass. I actually walked away knowing the history, the craft, and the proper way to experience it. Definitely one of the most memorable highlights of this Tokyo trip. Highly recommend to visit Jin Asakusa when you’re in Tokyo 😍 It’s my best sushi restaurant experience so far! The place is so cozy & well-put together, the hospitality is excellent, and I can taste the high quality of the ingredients. Don’t worry they’re english-friendly and so positive energy. I experience a lot of new things just from one session. I wore a samurai suit, made my own nigiri set (taught by a pro sushi chef), had a food battle, watched a sword show and lost track of time 😂 It’s best to book in advanced as they run on strict sessions with limited seating. Trust me you’ll have so much fun & yes it’s all worth it 👍🏻

We had an amazing time at his sushi making experience in Tokyo and it became one of our favourite memories from Japan. The ingredients were incredibly fresh and high quality, and there was plenty of food, we left completely full and satisfied.

An amazing evening learning about sushi, wagyu, samurai and ancient ways of life in Japan. I had fun making sushi, watching the master at work and also wearing ancient costumes! The hosts are knowledgeable and really made dinner enjoyable. Sushi never tasted better!!

What an incredible experience! From start to finish, the staff were entertaining and engaging, and we learned so much along the way. The challenges were fantastic, the food was insanely delicious, and there was more than enough to eat!

The staff was amazing. I felt like they really made the experience. I loved how education was gamified and that we got to dress up as a samurai at the end! The quality of food served was really fantastic as well.

This was such a unique and cozy experience. Very informative, fun and personal. The host and chef were so friendly. I visited Tokyo from New York and I had an amazing time here. They were so nice and informative! This was my first time eating sushi and this did not disappoint. The place was very beautiful and clean and easy to find. 10/10 would recommend!!

The ambiance, authentic Samurai-inspired decor, and the extremely welcome and friendly staff made this sushi-making class a definite highlight for our trip!! Seriously worth every penny signing up for our Sushi Master Class! With a bonus of knowledge, I will definitely be sure to take what I’ve learned to my home in the United States and share with my family skills I’ve learned….to make them a sushi dinner one night! This was by far the best experience I’ve had in Japan. I had an amazing time at this 80-minute sushi-making course taught by a professional chef! As a complete beginner and a not-so-fan of sushi, I learned to make nigiri (5 different types), a futomaki roll, and a donut sushi, while enjoying a 3-piece appetizer. The chef and assistant were fantastic—patiently explaining every step, ingredient, and technique in detail, from rice preparation to cultural insights, making it super informative and easy to follow. The entertaining highlights were the dramatic Japanese sword show and dashimaki egg demo, which added excitement and laughs to the small group experience. Highly recommend!!!! delicious, educational, and fun!

We are a family of 6- 4 boys ages 9,11,14,&15. This activity was an absolute win for all of us. What fun! They kept the boys engaged the entire time- it was a hands on sushi class - making nigiri. Fish was incredibly fresh. Love the trivia challenges along the way. For adults and kids, this is a must do in Tokyo. Thank you for an outstanding evening! The staff was excellent!

What a fun cooking class, we learned different techniques!! We loved the experience and the sushi were delicious! Make sure to come hungry :) At the end we were able to try out samurai outfits for some fun pictures.

The experience was incredibly fun because we got to make the sushi ourselves🍣✨. The master taught us very kindly and clearly, so we could learn a lot about sushi while having so much fun. Not only the sushi, but the thick sushi rolls (futomaki) and the Japanese rolled omelets (dashimaki tamago) were all delicious! The girl who explained the battles was also very kind and helped us relax. Activities (Food Quiz Battle) like the "speed-making challenge" and "taste-comparison battle" really livened up the atmosphere. The restaurant itself felt like a special place, decorated with samurai helmets and swords from the Sengoku period. The two hours flew by, and it was a truly unique experience that we couldn't find anywhere else! We made some wonderful memories. ☺️ Thank you! Highly recommended!

I went here with my boyfriend and it was a lovely experience. The staff was super friendly and I love that it was hands on when making the sushi. There were a lot of fun games and it was so interactive that I left feeling full and having learned a lot about Japanese food and culture. Would highly recommend!
