Kimono Rental In Asakusa Tokyo

Amazing! We did the kimono and tea ceremony! The ladies who worked there did our hair and helped us get dressed then we did the tea ceremony. It was amazing learned why it was important. After that we were able to walk around in Asakusa with the kimono and take pictures. Loved this experience!!

It was a lot of fun. I was worried particularly about the hair styling. But they were awesome, made us look really great

We had an outstanding experience with the Kimono rental. They offered us a photography, rickshaw and tea ceremony which was excellent, because we really wanna do that but was fully booked. The Rickshaw picked us up and our photographer did all the photos of rickshaw, tea ceremony and Sensoji Temple. The kimono experience with the ladies fixing our kimono was fun.

Dream come true for my 19yrs old Daughter and me.. First Father & Daughter experience in 19 years. The Kimono Experience was amazing, the staff was extremely nice and helpful.. Photoshoot was another different experience, not only the cam person was patience with our language barrier, but he was a professional.. They have never seen a 6.1 foot tall ZZ Top bearded US Marine cry when seeing his only daughter all dressed up so beautiful. It was an emotional moment.. Don't forget to add on a carriage ride around town, you will get an awesome history lesson and experience.. This memory will live for ever in my heart as a father and to my daughter.. Remember Japanese people are very shy and very low tone.. Please be patience and ask many times if you don't know... they don't care if you ask 100x they will try their best to make your wish come true.. Don't forget to ask for (TakeChan aka "TK") is the carriage conductor's name to take you around town, he is very kind and energetic his knowledge is exceptional despite the language barrier.. 😆 I would love to do this trip again... The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the dresses were beautiful with so many great options to choose from. They let us take our time picking our dresses, accessories, hair style and they help you get dressed with great patience. After getting dressed , we were invited to a tea ceremony where the host showed us the steps in the tea ceremony as well as the meanings behind each step. I’ll definitely be coming back! It was also my kid’s birthday, and they kindly let her hold a birthday balloon and take a picture, which made the experience even more special and definitely a surprise. They let us wear the rental for the full day as well ! I highly recommend this place !

The staff were so friendly and accommodating! I speak a little bit of Japanese so I was able to communicate with them well, but you still can if you can’t speak any Japanese! Very nice and polite place! I would definitely do this again. They do your hair for you after fitting you and you can do different add ons like having a photographer or having your makeup done, although I didn’t do that. Overall a very pleasant experience!

What a fabulous experience. The three people working in the store couldnt have been any more friendly and accommodating if they tried. They were very patient with our two young daughters and professional. Fantastic experience and the kimonos were all of an excellent quality. We loved it much more than we thought we would.

This was a fun experience. Each person in our group was outfitted in a very nice kimono. It is cool to have someone dress you. The kimonos were beautiful. After getting dressed, we sat through an explanation of the traditional Matcha Tea Ceremony. We were able to walk around Asakusa in our kimonos and take pictures on the grounds of the Senso-ji Temple.

Great experience. Really looked after our children aged 14 to 4 years old. Contacted them directly and they allowed our large family of 7 people to come together. Doing the girls hair really took it to the next level and we were able to go for a walk dressed up for photos. Even did the tea ceremony for the kids.

The hosts we're really lovely people, the kimono options were beautiful and they took very good care of us getting ready (with hair and accessories included!), and it was a nice and informative tea ceremony.

Excellent experience. Worth every penny. The staff was extremely friendly, courteous, helpful and very accommodating. There was an extensive selection of elegant kimono and accessories to choose from, and they also apply make-up and style your hair. We got lost on our way to the store, so we called the store's operator. The gentleman who took our call asked us about our location and he came and got us and walked us back to the store. Very impressive. We had a fantastic time.

Wonderful experience dressing in traditional kimonos and participating in a tea ceremony. The staff was very friendly. We were allowed to use the kimonos the entire day (if desired) to walk around and take photos.

By far, our favorite experience in Tokyo! My friends and I had such a great time dressing up in kimonos and experiencing what the etiquette of a traditional tea ceremony would be the staff was so kind and knowledgeable. We were debating on going back and doing it again before leaving, but we didn’t have the time. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in dressing in a kimono and experiencing a tea ceremony. They also allowed us to walk around and take pictures outside for about two hours if we wanted to.

This experience was so much fun. We enjoyed dressing in the kimono’s and learning about matcha and traditional tea ceremonies. We were surprised that we were being taken down to the Senso-ji Temple for photos, it was unexpected and made for some awesome photos!! We could also wander around in our kimono’s after. The photos we received included 15 edited photos (which were beautiful) and about 160 unedited ones. The only thing that surprised me a little was that we had the tea in the room where you choose your kimono, but it was still really interesting. Highly recommend!! 😊

Was a very good experience. We had the 60 min photographer experience which was wonderful. We went around the and found various locations on the streets and temple. Very pleasant people to work with.

It was a beautiful experience. The staff is very professional and friendly. I had an amazing time with my aunt. We saw great spots around the city and had a wonderful tea ceremony experience. The women helping us get dressed were kind and considerate. The photographer was excellent. I would highly recommend it.

All was great! We was a bit late and got lost and i was thinking he mad to us, but thank God he picked up for us to the right direction safely. He explained well about how to drink matcha. We enjoyed our matcha & Japanese sweets. And his wife made my hairstyle looked like a Japanese. I love her creation! After that, we walked around the Asakusa temple, enjoy sightseeing while wearing kimono, took many photos and made memories. Actually, when i lived in my country i was always wanted to drink matcha cause i love matcha while wearing kimono and walk around the temple like Japanese do. So, this was my very first experience. I felt so happy you made my day and my dream happened! Thank you for your service and being nice to us. Hope we will comeback to have another experience when in Tokyo!

It was interesting to learn that dressing in a kimono is much more than putting on a robe. The ladies are beautiful, patient and very friendly and we had a laugh even with the language barrier. Also learnt about the tea ceremony as an added bonus - do this, the kimonos are beautiful! 😍 Thank you ☺️
