Super fun class. We made several pieces and then chose a couple to have them fire, glaze, and then ship to the US. Everything was very resonably priced and they were VERY patient with us in teaching the different techniques. Super fun.

You get to make as many pieces as you can in the time slotted and the teacher spoke good English and was very helpful throughout. Note it costs extra to fire and ship… If you are in Tokyo for a while, go at the beginning of your trip so you have enough time to go back and finish your pieces.
SO MUCH FUN. I loved everything about it. We were able to slow down and put our creativity to use. My boyfriend and I didn’t expect it to be that fun Definitely recommend to anyone.
Even though it’s just an hour, and we had no prior experience, we actually managed to create some ceramic tableware. We loved it! ❤️
This is an excellent guided pottery class guiding the tourist through various aspects. Note that it will be fired and picked up later but it is worth it! They can ship. Reasonable pricing
The instructor is truly supportive and excellent in guiding us first-timers. It’s way more than we expected.
We loved this class. We really enjoyed learning and making some beautiful items ourselves. Highly recommend.
We had such a wonderful time! They were so helpful and accommodating (we had a large party) Thank you for such a beautiful experience!
Easy access close to Tokyo tower by feet. Friendly and available teacher. The 4 of us (13yo to 43yo) enjoyed this moment.
This was so fun! The instructor and all the staff were so nice and even recommended a local pottery supply store :DDD すごく楽しかった!インストラクターとスタッフはとても親切で、地元の陶芸用品店まで勧めてくれました (^ν^)
wonderful experience in a lovely space, I felt well instructed, encouraged and insirred so that within the hour I enjoyed figuring different shapes. It made me want to have more sessions for sure
Staff was very kind, super helpful and supportive, and spoke excellent English. Overall an excellent experience. Note that if you want to take anything home there are additional fees to fire, glaze, and ship (if needed) - which can be pricey. The finished items won't be done for a month or so. This class is likely similar to ones you would do in any other city around the world, nothing particularly "Japanese" about it (thought not advertised as such, so not necessarily a bad thing). Fun experience overall, worth the time and money as long as you understand the whole picture.
really fun class intro to pottery. Jumpai (sp?) was an excellent instructor. know you won't have any finished pieces but at a cost and a few weeks time your pottery can be completed for you and shipped. currently not to USA though. learned a lot, fun evening spent. near the tokyo tower!
Mr. Hoshi is an amazing pottery master, even though he is so modest. Very thorough and patient teaching brought the plate maker out of my wife and the cup maker out of me. We both layered the rice bowl as well. Unfortunately, due to uncertainty in tariffs and shipping, we were jot able to take our creations home. But we will return and do this again. The class size was small and you get a lot of help, attention, and praise from Mr.Hoshi. bravo!!!
Lovely clear friendly instructions. Lovely peaceful environment. Helpful and friendly also great fun and laughter.
We were unable to attend as it is listed as being in shibuya, when it was actually in shiba. make sure to read better than I did
Really fun pottery making experience. Great for beginners, very good English speakers and ultimately was very affordable if you want to keep any of your pieces and have them sent back to the states. Very courteous and skilled staff.
Im so glad I ended up going this class, the staff were amazing and I had so much fun, if you've never been to a class like this i 100% recommend it, very relaxing and completely stresse free activitie that you can enjoy.
Charming pottery studio with very helpful and kind instructors. Spoke English well. Stress free activity
This was such a lovely experience. The young teacher was so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. He was serious about the art, yet happily laughed along with me. I thoroughly enjoyed this and am inspired to keep creating when J return to Australia. Thank you!
Very nice atmosphere and, unlike some workshops, you have a lot of freedom on what you want to make. The teachers let you do everything by yourself after a quick demonstration and help you out if you aks for some assistance.
The instructor was very nice and personable. My friends and I had a blast with the class and I would definitely recommend it for both new and experienced potters.
I enjoyed being able to create some souvenirs to bring back home. The instructor was really helpful and attentive.
Interactive, great instructor who was extremely helpful and informative. I would recommend this for sure!
Sensei was so patient and kind with a novice potter like me who’s only taken one class in Cali before. The vibes were truly immaculate in the space as what ended up being a private 1:1 session shaping clay, listening to mellow Ghibli-like instrumental music, and the cute pitter patter of raindrops on a late afternoon. He helped me create one of a kind souvenirs with such great pricing even with added glaze coloring, ems shipping, and the chill vibes. I will definitely recommend this experience to my friends and will return myself on my next Japan adventure 😊 10/10 Exceeded my expectations
They were super nice!! The class was therapeutic, small, knowledgeable!! highly recommend .. very welcoming
Workshops like this are great fun to try on your travels. You are shown the fundamentals by a teacher and than get to try your own pieces.
Ruth is an excellent instructor she was very helpful and friendly. Thank you for your assistance.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxdxxxxs
This class was luckily available to book last-minute- and what a treat! The location was easy to find and the staff were absolutely lovely. We might have been able to work things out with very basic Japanese, but it was so helpful to have an English speaking instructor there. She was an absolute star, funny, helpful and kind, managing to instruct and help four people at once. I wish we could've extended our trip to do the trimming and glazing of the pieces ourselves, but love that there's the option to have that done and send the items home. Thanks for the wonderful experience!
Thank you for teacher Ruth. She taught me patiently. I’m really enjoy the class and hope I can come again.
Supercool! Very relaxing atmosphere and the instructor was super helpful and flowy. Certainly suitable for families with kids.
A super fun activity to do in Tokyo. Ruth (who's American) was really nice and helped me make around 6 different pieces of pottery. Important thing to know, you are only paying for the pottery class. If you want to bring things back home, you have to pay the kiln and delivery fees. I would still recommend this workshop 100%.
My girls and I had a great time and this was our first time doing a pottery class. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back when we visit again.
It was a terrific experience and I learnt alot. Well worth doing if you are interested in pottery. The organisers are so helpful and speak very good English as well as Japanese.
This was a great, relaxing class. Kaia/Kya was really nice and helpful. They encourage you to have fun while still helping you create a one-of-a-kind piece. The shop and activity itself were so relaxing and a nice break from the hustle of the city. I would definitely go back again next time I’m in Japan!
It was interesting to know the basics of such a beautiful art. I will continue to the painting lesson.
A wonderful peaceful hour of pottery making. Excellent English (and Japanese) instruction. Highly recommend
Amazing! Sensei was very helpful, giving tips and helping to fix the pieces. Small groups makes it easier to get all the help you need. I will not be able to do the finishing however they will do it for me for a small fee and ship it to my country! Definitely recommended ! 100/10
So much fun. Amazing Never done anything like this before and the teacher was so nice and easy to talk with. Was able to make and take want I made. Coming back again
We had a wonderful time! Stephen was a brilliant teacher, friendly and knowledgeable. He instructed us on how to throw and the process going forward. They are going to fire and ship our piece back to us!
Great experience. Great crew : very patient and giving good instructions to make one’s creation. We loved it and recommend it
I was curious on taking a ceramic class in Japan, so I did and I took my fiancé with me and he did great to be his first time, I have been taking ceramic classes for two years now. The teacher was great, and very comprehensive and explains everything with detail. We’re able to shipped our pieces back, I’m excited to see the final result.
Awesome couple of hours. We loved it. Lots of help if needed but also lots of opportunity to be creative.
It was my first time doing pottery and Viki explained everything perfectly. Viki and Stephen helped us when we needed it. It was fun and I can’t wait to go back!
Nice very friendly instructor easy to find and great price. Nice very friendly instructor easy to find
Poterie is hard but Stephen (who can also speak English) was there to guide us through the initiation.
This is my first time taking a pottery class. Vicki is a really patient and talented instructor she demonstrated all the basics on how to make a plate then guided me on crafting one myself.
Our teacher and other workers were very pleasant and helpful, it didn’t matter if you’re already a pro or a beginner as everyone does their own thing!
The instructor was very helpful and enthusiastic. E wethe class with another group and we’re all had fun. We were able to make a few pieces each.
It was very relaxing. The instructor did a great job in teaching us the basics of pottery. I enjoyed it.
