My family and I recently visited Japan. As part of our trip, we took a cooking class for fun. Fortuitously, I came across Yuki’s studio, Yuzu Washoku Studio, and was impressed with her hospitality and teaching skill. My family and I were delighted with her Japanese Katsu Chicken Curry class, and we inquired about other classes that she offered. In speaking with Yuki, we were able to address food allergies and food preferences. Yuki was beyond accommodating and welcoming. She is a gracious host/teacher, and I would highly recommend her studio. Yuki is phenomenal and deserves more than a five out of five star rating.
Had a wonderful time learning how to make Japanese curry and the various secret ingredients that could be used. Yuki was polite very professional and helpful.
Wow. Yuki is super friendly, explains everything, you do the whole process by yourself, and the food is just absolutely delicious.
We loved our visit at Yukis house. At first we were greeted very nicely with a cup of greentea, we felt welcomed from the very beginning. Cooking was very funny and we learned a lot. Everything was perfect, we are very thankful for the experience :) Food was delicious. Hope to be able to visit again at our next stay at Tokyo!
What a great experience! I learned a lot and Yuki was so nice. I'll be back there one day. If you love cooking, this place is for you 😉🥹
Yuki was extremely friendly and accommodating. She proceeded with the class even though I was the sole attendee and taught me a lot about the japanese culture as we cooked.
Yuki-sense is a Great teacher, with great English, and now I am so excited to cook my own curry at home! Really thorough and get a take home packet to help remember.
A great experience if you like to cook and have a nice meal
Yuki was a delight. She was knowledgeable and a very good teacher. Wonderful experience and the food at the end was delicious!
Very enjoyed this cooking class. The host is most accomodating and knowledgible. Even though I had already tried my hands on Japanese Curry, I could learn plenty of new things. Also the sesame pickled green beans were delicious.
Me and my wife came to Tokyo for our honeymoon. This cooking class was a lovely experience. Yuki is such an amazing host and cook. The food was absolutely delicious. Definitely come with an empty stomach. Highly recommend.
Yuki was an excellent teacher. She gives you great step by step instructions that are easy to follow and her English is very good. She has a fun personality and makes you feel right at home. I love her thoughtfulness to each detail of the class. I came with friends and we loved every minute! I will definitely be back to take more classes when I return to Japan. Thank you Yuki! 🥰
Such a wonderful experience at Yuma Washoku Studio with Yuki! The class was clean, organized, and easy to follow, and the katsu curry was absolutely delicious. I loved learning new techniques I can actually use at home. On top of that, the atmosphere was so warm and personable. It made the whole experience feel extra special. Highly recommend!
This class totally surpassed our expectations! From the excellent directions on how to find the location to the warm welcome and some refreshments from Yuki, we were off to a great start! Yuki started off with a bit of history around katsu and then explained all the different steps. She is terrific fun, speaks excellent English and kept the whole family busy making the different components of this dish which happens to be my husband’s favourite! Throughout the class Yuki explained about the set up of Japanese kitchens, buying produce, special kitchen tools, etc— loads of helpful tips. Everything is immaculate and super well organised — in no time we were sitting down to a delicious meal we had made! Could not recommend this class more highly!
I had a fantastic time at class with Yuki and learned how make fantastic curry. She also taught how to make tonkatsu and it was amazing. I learned some secrets to Japanese cooking that I did not know before. Thank you for the class. I would recommend.
I had a wonderful and memorable cooking class with Yuki making tonkatsu curry. She was friendly, kind, patient, and personable. The class is very hands on and you learn to make curry from start to finish. I feel like i can go home and easily recreate the dish. I would high recommend the class!
I had a wonderful time cooking katsu curry with Yuki, she is a great teacher and speaks english very well. She is also just such a nice person. She told me a lot about Japanese customs and gave tips on where to go. The curry was absolutely delicious and I feel confident to be able to make it at home. It was adjusted to my preferences (pescetarian). Thank you so much Yuki!
This was the best cooking class! Yuki was so incredible as my teacher. Explained everything, shared her secret recipes, was so thorough, and just as important, very clean! I can’t recommend this experience enough for anyone visiting Tokyo!
My partner and I are visiting Tokyo and he booked this experience for us, I’m so glad that he did as it was incredible! Yuki is a wonderful host who makes you feel comfortable and guides you through your cooking class with ease. I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting Japan 🇯🇵🫶
I was a bit nervous about appearing to be in a residential area. But I was surprised to discover this wonderful home studio and an amazingly comforting host. The experience was well structured using modern and clever tools and had lots of hand outs and instructions and as I say, the host was very kind. If you had any concerns you shouldn’t, this is very good value teaching you Japanese culture and cuisine in a real and relevant environment.
YUKI’s cooking class was a great experience! My boyfriend and I booked this class because we love Japanese curry katsu. She is a wonderful teacher and provides you with a small gift at the end! You can make your meal and then enjoy with your group. She is very sweet and her home is beautiful. I would definitely recommend booking this class if you are staying in Tokyo!
We got so much out of the class, Yuki was friendly and helpful but had lots of information to share. Home style Curry you can’t replicate from a box!

My husband and I were traveling to Tokyo on our honeymoon and had the pleasure of booking the Katsu Curry class with Yuki. It was a 10/10 experience. Yuki was so sweet and the meal was not only absolutely delicious but it was something that we actually feel confident we could make at home. We also picked up a few cooking tips that will help us with cooking other things we usually cook better.

Amazing cooking experience!! Zuki was the best teacher. She was kind, funny and great cook. We learned a lot, had an awesome time and the curry was delicious, together with the Tonkatsu and the sesame dressing. Would recommend a million times!!! Don’t miss this opportunity. 🙌🏻🙌🏻
It was an amazing class. Very beautiful and pleasant environment and the teachers were very good. You can also learn Japanese food while traveling to Japan.
I thoroughly enjoyed learning how to prepare and cook Katsu (fried pork cutlet) and from scratch Japanese curry! Although I know a lot about cooking, I learned several pointers on where I can improve as a home cook. My only regret is that I did not take a photo of her rice cooker as I want one!

We had the most incredible time at this Japanese curry cooking class! We were specifically searching for a class that made curry roux from scratch - not using the premade curry roux cubes from a box - and we were so lucky to find this gem. Yuki, our instructor, was absolutely wonderful. She’s personable, friendly, and has such a warm, delightful presence that made the entire class feel relaxed and fun. She spoke excellent English (lived and studied in the U.S.), explained each step clearly, and shared personal stories and insights that added so much depth to the experience. Learning how to build flavor from the ground up gave us a whole new appreciation for Japanese curry. The ingredients were fresh, the techniques approachable, and the end result? Absolutely delicious and something we’re excited to recreate at home. This wasn’t just a cooking class - it was a memory we’ll cherish. If you’re looking for a hands-on, heartwarming, and truly authentic experience in Japan, do not miss this class with Yuki! It takes place at her beautiful and clean home with Pokémon around the house, if you can spot them. I can’t forget to mention that her kitchen was impressively outfitted with high-quality tools and appliances.

We thank Yuki for this incredible experience! She took great care of us from the beginning to the end of this cooking class. We were able to prepare a true Japanese curry from start to finish, guiding us and revealing the secrets of this recipe. We highly recommend this enriching experience! Lucas
