The five dishes we learned to cook were fantastic and tasted amazing. So worth it. It was fun, easy to get to and Chieko was a delight to learn from. The most tasty miso soup and Okonomiyaki.

We had a really great experience and prepared delicious food. Mai and Miho were amazing guides. We recommend the experience definitely :-).
They were super nice easy to work with and we're very informative. They even enjoyed the meal with us when we invited them to join us
This was an amazing class! We wanted to be sure we took a cooking class with food we could actually make at home and this was it! We made five dishes that were all delicious. Kana, our instructor, was so kind, funny, and informative. She also gave us recommendations for restaurants and activities to try. The price was incredibly reasonable and we got all recipes afterwords. I can’t recommend this class enough!
The class was awesome, they had several helpers to make sure we made a delicious meal and all knew what was going on. They also made sure to take lots of pictures for us. It was a great experience! We made sushi and a green bean salad.
We had an awesome time and really enjoyed our instructor - the recepies were excellent and ones we will try at home - thank you
My family had so much fun in this cooking class! Lulu and her partner were friendly and personable as well as good instructors. We had a blast eating everything we made and have already made one of the dishes at home!
This cookery lesson and our 2 teachers were amazing 👍we were hands on and actually eat what we had made it was delicious so I would highly recommend this cookery class in Tokyo
I can warmly recommend this cooking class!!! We got to make ramen and gyoza, which turned out absolutely delicious 😋 Chieko was a wonderful teacher - both knowledgeable, diligent and very well prepared. And super friendly and attentive. If you’re interested in food, this cooking class is a must 😄
This was an amazing evening full of fun, laughter, cooking, and meeting new people. Lulu and Erica are fantastic! They are knowledge about Japanese food and cooking. You can tell they love doing this. They are also warm and inviting and it was a real treat to have this experience with my family who love food and cooking. No experience needed at all, they both helped us in the kitchen. When it’s all done we ate together and it was very memorable. I highly recommend this event. Also, I have food allergies and she went above and beyond to accommodate me.
Martha was kind and delightful. Enjoyed the experience as a family. It was organized and interactive. Food was abundant and delicious.
What a fantastic experience! And how much we enjoyed the food. We are glad that we chose the karaage menu with traditional side dishes; everything was absolutely delicious. There is one person who made the workshop complete for us, and that is Aki. She guided us through the workshop in a friendly and relaxed way. One thing is certain: the dishes will also be prepared at our home (in the Netherlands). Hopefully, we can then relive those delightful moments in our own kitchen. Thank you for the awesome experience. Greetings, Cleon & Laura
This class was such a fun experience. We weren’t completely sure what to expect as most cooking classes we have gone to have been in professional type kitchens. This felt like you were at a family member’s home and they were teaching you family recipes pasted down through the years. It was warm, very inviting and FUN!!! We had our kids ranging in ages from 10-25 and they all had fun and loved the hands on aspect of it. We are here in Japan for a while longer and we have had fun exploring a grocery store and finding the ingredients to recreate a few of the dishes. The food was fresh, delicious and healthy. We would HIGHLY recommend this to any family, we made memories that would last a lifetime.
Chieko-San was wonderful! She answered all of our questions and spoke English very well. We really enjoyed that it was home style cooking, making it more believable that it could be achieved in our home when we return!
Beware! My family and I were suppose to have a cooking class with them, and the evening before the class I emailed them to see if we could reschedule to a different day or a later time (we accidentally double booked ourselves). Since we didn’t not hear back from them morning of the cooking class, we assumed it was still going on as there was no talk about canceling the class. We rearranged our schedule, so we could make it. It wasn’t until we got there that we get a message back notifying us that they canceled the class the night before!!! This company DIDNOT inform us that they would be canceling our class nor did we ask them to cancel. Viator would not give us a refund. I have booked countless tours with Viator and I have never had this happen to me. Needless to say I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed with both companies and will never be booking with them again!!
It was fun, informative, and the food was delicious. We highly recommend. Chieko-san and Hana-san were wonderful hostesses and patient teachers.
What a delightful evening!! The food was excellent and the hosts were cheerful and informative. We would highly recommend this event!!
We had a great time learning how to cook traditional Japanese family dishes, and the cultural significance of the dishes and ingredients. I would highly recommend!!
Super cozy place, we enjoyed a lot and learn so many useful recipes. Lulu is a very likeable host, she made everything easy to understand, and had a really nice courtesy with my husband due to his birthday.
Lulu was very friendly and gracious! She made good effort to keep the conversation flowing and easy and even though we ended up arriving 10 minutes early accommodated us with grace. The food was great and she took the initiative since the menu we picked ended up being pretty easy to add a couple items in. Very interesting and I hope to take some of the techniques home with me.
I wish I would have done this my first week in Tokyo. I learned a lot. And, since it was a private class, there was no one else to slow us down. We managed to make five dishes! I can't wait to try them at home when I get the chance. I highly recommend this class for anyone that wants an actual hands on cooking class. We made everything from scratch, so I feel like I actually understand how to recreate them. The location was in also quite convenient. Close to Shinjuku eki, and easy to find.
