Ken our driver and Tour guide was pleasant and accommodating. He's knowledgeable enough for us to know more about shrines that we visited.

At Owakudani Valley, you can try the famous Hakone Black Egg — a hard-boiled egg cooked in the natural hot springs, turning its shell black from the volcanic sulfur. Local legend says that eating one adds seven extra years to your life! Enjoy this unique treat while taking in the dramatic volcanic scenery around you.
Take a thrilling ride on the Hakone Ropeway and enjoy a panoramic view of the stunning volcanic landscape of Owakudani Valley. From the cable car, you can see steaming sulfur vents, Lake Ashi below, and even Mount Fuji on a clear day. The 30-minute journey connects Sounzan and Togendai stations, offering one of the most spectacular aerial views in all of Japan.
Enjoy a scenic cruise across the beautiful Lake Ashi aboard the famous Hakone Pirate Ship! Departing from Motohakone Port, this relaxing 30-minute journey offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and, on clear days, the majestic Mount Fuji. Glide over the tranquil waters as you admire the iconic red Torii Gate of Hakone Shrine and the lush natural landscapes that make this area one of Japan’s most picturesque destinations.
Optional: After exploring the lake and volcano of Hakone, continue your day to Gotemba — a serene foothill city of Mt Fuji. Stroll through the luxurious Gotemba Premium Outlets where over 200 shops await, all with Mt Fuji as your backdrop. If you prefer fresh air and mountain-views, enjoy green tea fields, open-air baths, and nature trails in the Gotemba region. On a clear day the view of Mt Fuji is simply unforgettable.
Step back in time at Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nemba, a beautifully restored traditional village on the shores of Lake Saiko. Once destroyed by a landslide, it has been rebuilt as an open-air museum where visitors can experience the charm of old Japan. Stroll among thatched-roof houses showcasing local crafts, art, and culture. You can try on kimono or samurai armor, enjoy handmade souvenirs, and capture stunning views of Mount Fuji in the background.
Known as the “Lake of Reflections,” Saiko is one of the Fuji Five Lakes located at the base of Mount Fuji. Surrounded by peaceful forests and scenic mountain views, it’s a perfect spot to enjoy nature and relax away from the crowds. On clear days, the calm waters of Saiko beautifully mirror Mount Fuji, creating one of the area’s most picturesque scenes. The lake is also popular for light outdoor activities such as walking, boating, and photography.
Lake Kawaguchi is one of the most scenic of the Fuji Five Lakes, offering magnificent views of Mount Fuji reflected on its calm surface. It’s the most accessible and visitor-friendly lake in the region, surrounded by charming cafés, museums, and seasonal flower parks. Whether you’re enjoying a peaceful lakeside stroll, a boat ride, or simply taking photos, Kawaguchi provides a perfect balance of natural beauty and relaxing atmosphere — a must-see spot for any Mount Fuji trip.
Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine (Chureito Pagoda) Visit one of Japan’s most iconic photo spots at Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine, home to the famous five-storied Chureito Pagoda. From the top of the hillside, you can capture the breathtaking view of Mount Fuji rising behind the pagoda — a scene that perfectly represents Japan’s beauty. The shrine itself is peaceful and surrounded by cherry blossoms in spring and colorful leaves in autumn, making it a favorite for photographers and travelers year-round.
Located at the foot of Mount Fuji in Fujiyoshida, Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine is one of the most important and historic shrines dedicated to the sacred mountain. Surrounded by towering centuries-old cedar trees, the shrine offers a peaceful atmosphere and a deep sense of spirituality. For over a thousand years, it has been the traditional starting point for pilgrims beginning their ascent of Mount Fuji. Walking through its grand torii gates and tranquil forest paths is a truly authentic cultural experience.
Oshino Hakkai is a charming traditional village famous for its eight crystal-clear ponds fed by the pure snowmelt of Mount Fuji. Each pond reflects the beauty of Fuji and is surrounded by thatched-roof houses, waterwheels, and local shops selling handmade snacks and souvenirs. Strolling through this peaceful area feels like stepping back in time — a perfect place to experience Japan’s natural beauty and rural charm while enjoying the stunning view of Mount Fuji.
Optional: Explore the mysterious underground world of Narusawa Ice Cave, formed by ancient lava flows from Mount Fuji. Inside this naturally cooled cave, you’ll see stunning ice pillars and frozen walls that remain even in summer. The cave stays around zero degrees year-round, offering a refreshing adventure and a glimpse into the volcanic history of the Fuji area.
Optional: Located near Aokigahara Forest, the Fugaku Wind Cave is a fascinating natural lava cave formed by Mount Fuji’s ancient eruptions. The cave maintains a cool temperature of around 3°C throughout the year, once used to store silkworm cocoons and seeds. As you walk through the dimly lit tunnel, you’ll see impressive lava formations and learn about the region’s volcanic history — a short but memorable underground adventure near Mount Fuji.
Optional: Step into the elegance of Europe at the Hakone Venetian Glass Museum, Japan’s first art museum dedicated to Venetian glass. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and mountain scenery, the museum features a dazzling collection of both antique and modern glass art from Venice. Stroll through sparkling glass sculptures that glitter in the sunlight, cross charming bridges, and enjoy a relaxing moment at the on-site café with views of Hakone’s serene nature.
Optional: Enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay from the Mishima Skywalk, Japan’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge. Stretching 400 meters across a deep valley, it offers a thrilling yet safe walk high above the trees. On clear days, you can admire a full panoramic view of Mount Fuji, while the surrounding area features cafés, souvenir shops, and adventure attractions — making it a perfect photo and sightseeing stop.

Ken was a great guide for our full day trip with him from Tokyo to mt Fuji area and then to Hakone. He was very knowledgeable, a great driver with a very comfortable car, and took us to some hidden gem places you would never find on social media. I recommend working with Ken!
Great day. Ken was our guide, so knowledgeable, great conversation and super flexible to suit us all
Ken was fabulous. Took us around all the places we wanted to go. Spoke amazing English, was very happy to explain the Japanese culture to us. We learnt so much and he took fantastic pictures for us.
We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Reja. From arriving exactly on time, to providing a perfectly comfortable vehicle with working Wi-Fi, bottled water, and ice cold air conditioning, this was a perfect day. Reja worked with the sites we wanted to see and made several recommendations to enhance our experience. As an example, we got lucky with the weather so we opted to shift our entire time near Mount Fuji and that was no problem. He guided us to a perfect spot for lunch based on what we were interested in, and even snapped a few pictures of us at some nice photo spots. He found answers to a few of our random questions while we were out and about which was a nice delight. Reja made sure we got the most out of our time this day and it was an absolute pleasure. I would not hesitate to book a tour through this company, and may you be so lucky as to get Reja as we did!
Our guide Reja D. Is very friendly, amendable, and most helpful with our tour. Giving us the history of what we were seeing, and experiencing. I would highly recommend him!
The guide, James, was perfect. Flexible and friendly, informative and always ready when we were. Thanks James. Hakone is a definite must-do trip.
Great experience. Guide is very knowledgeable about the area. We could customize the trip to items that were not on the itinerary.
We had an awesome time. Ken was absolutely fantastic guide and driver, took us out for the ten hour tour and we enjoyed places we could have never imagined. He was very helpful and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend his services! Thank you ! Steve Milligan
Exploring Hakone and Mt Fuji was effortless with Reja. He went over and above and showed us hidden jems. His recommendations were great weather it was sightseeing spots or finding restaurants. We highly recommend this tour and Reja as a tour guide.
This tour was a amazing. Great (5 Star☆) tour Guide(Ken). He gave us great education on Tokyo and Mt Fuji. Made minor adjustments to our tour per our request and we was able to do the Shrine as well.
Great experience. Our guide Reja was on time and very nice. Highly recommended. It was a wonderful tour.
Excellent trip- fully customised to our needs (handy with an autistic daughter) , water provided in a very comfortable car and a friendly (but not intrusive) guide - Reja- who I cannot recommend highly enough

Our Mt. Fuji sightseeing tour was a wonderful experience! Jason was an outstanding guide, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the area. He shared so much interesting information throughout the day and made sure everyone had a great experience. We truly enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend it. The only reason I'm not giving a full 5 stars is because of the additional pickup fee. Although we were staying within the advertised pickup area, the extra charge wasn't communicated clearly when we booked, so it came as an unexpected surprise. Better communication about any additional fees would make the experience even better. Overall, we had an amazing day, and Jason made our visit to Mt. Fuji one to remember!
Very amazing experience with my dad! Ken was awesome, and he made sure that we got to do everything we wanted to and more in enough time to allow us to get back to our hotel. Would recommend to anyone!
Ken was an incredible guide! He was extremely knowledgeable about all the sites, answered all our questions, and was on time for everything. He and the tour company gave us the ability to choose where we wanted to go. This was a huge advantage for us vs. the tour buses where everything seemed to be commercialized and on their clock. We saw so many insanely beautiful places and were treated to a mostly sunny day with unreal views of Mount Fuji and the surrounding mountains. Lunch was fantastic as well. If I could rate it higher than a 5 out of 5, I would!
Had a very nice day today with Jason, it was so convenient to just hop back in the vehicle after seeing the sights. Jason was very personable and engaging. I would highly recommend this service for anyone that would like to see Tokyo in comfort!
The guide/driver Ken was very nice and respectful and was int
Ken was a great guide, he told us a lot about the areas we drove through and took us to very interesting and fun places
Ken was a great tour guide. He did an excellent job explaining the history and significance of the different stops on the tour. He was knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and fun.
Great day! Ken was knowledgeable and we had great conversations! Felt very comfortable the entire trip…he was waiting for us at morning pickup time…walked us up to each entrance and had conversations with the cashier/host as needed… and was there waiting for us after each excursion. It was just a very easy and fun day. Thanks Ken!
We had a great time on our tour today, with Reja taking care of us. He made sure everything went as smooth as possible and even walked around with us at some stops to explain the area and translate for us. We had a great time, saw more than we anticipated, and made a ton of memories!!! Thank you Reja!!!
Jason our driver and tour guide was amazing. He put together a fantastic day for us and shared Japan’s amazing history throughout the trip. He even hiked with us a but so he could take pictures for us in amazing spots. Highly recommend.
Weather not ideal for viewing. However, our guide Reja was clearly dedicated to providing the best experience possible with consideration of our various requests. Much appreciated.
Jamy was an incredible tour guide! He was incredibly accommodating, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic experience. Highly recommend booking a tour with him!
Loved Jamy! So friendly! So helpful and courteous! Great day all in all💜. Would highly recommend this tour!
Driver guides are very different from walking guides in Japan. We had an excellent driver who genuinely wanted us to have an exceptional experience. However, he was unable to go into the venues with us and his depth of knowledge was limited. Our driver was professional, polite and caring. He was patient and went above and beyond for us.
We had an amazing experience with Reja during our trip to Mount Fuji and Hakone. He picked us up right on time from our hotel in Tokyo and made the entire journey comfortable, enjoyable, and stress-free. Reja is extremely polite, professional, and courteous. He has excellent knowledge of Japan, its culture, and the various attractions in the Mount Fuji and Hakone regions. Throughout the trip, he shared useful information, suggested great viewpoints, and ensured that we made the most of our time. What stood out the most was his friendly attitude, patience, and genuine willingness to help. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had a memorable experience. I would highly recommend Reja to anyone visiting Japan and looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and professional guide/driver. Thank you, Reja, for making our day so special! ★★★★★
It’s not a tour, it’s a driver. You have to research all the places you want to visit, figure out enough time to spend there, and buy tickets online in advance if you want to save time. You also have to consider traffic - we hit traffic both ways - and ended up paying extra, in cash. The company and the driver made sure to remind us multiple times that every extra 30 min is additional $. We had Ken as our driver. He’s not a tour guide and clearly has no desire to be one. This is a side gig while he’s in school so he can practice English - he told us that much. There was a miscommunication where we thought he said he’ll pick us up from a certain location but it turned out we had to go back. Not a great communicator, and is annoying with personal questions. Like why do you need to know my partners’ age? Also, the car was supposed to have free water and WiFi - we had none. I’ve done multiple tours all over the world and will rate this on the bottom. Again, do your own research about everything and just hire an uber to take you places while there.
Rejaul was a great driver and he was bringing us to all the places we were asking. He was never looking on the clock and we drove home much later than it was agreed. Always with a smile and very friendly
Rana was our driver for the day. Great experience! Highly recommend. Provided several options for our tailored tour. Great communication.
Rana was such an amazing driver/guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He helped us get all around the places we wanted to see and was always ready for when we completed our activities. He had good recommendations and overall made sure this was by far one the best and easiest ways to tour around places outside Japan. We got really lucky that there wasn't allot of people around, but also when we were unable to ride the boat, due to it being too early, Rana took us to an alternate spot to walk around and he eventually took us to another boat location that was running. Also if you want to see great sites, just so him what places are the best to sightsee. A group of 4 to 6 would fit comfortably in the car and I think thats the best considering the places you will visit. Also, some side query can only accommodate up to 6, so that's a hard limit. We were 4 and it was honestly the best overall. If you are considering taking a tour with Rana, you absolutely should. It'll be an enjoyable time!
I came with my family of 4, and it was everyone’s first time visiting. We did a private tour with Reja and went to the Hakone / Mt Fuji area. He picked us up early at the hotel and showed us an initial itinerary he recommended. He asked us if there’s anything else we wanted to do, and within 10 minutes crafted a new schedule that fit everything (plus more!) We went to Lake Ashi for the Cruise tour, and took the cable rope way. My dad wanted to eat the charcoal colored eggs, and Reja waited for us at the end, and helped us buy food and souvenirs. We then went to Open Air Museum (incredibly gorgeous). Reja helped translate and was ready to leave when we were done. We saw Mt Fuji at most places we went to - some parts were a little cloudy, but Reja helped us pivot to find better spots. We then did Saiko Village, Ossino Hakkai and a Shrine. Reja was quick with all the detours we asked, and explained each site with great detail for us. He gave awesome suggestions for where to visit, and made the whole experience very fun. He also drives very well, which was important since you’re moving quite a lot in the car. Overall, we had a wonderful day with Reja and would recommend this to everyone visiting.
Covered a lot of beautiful places in one day. Reja was very accommodating. Amazing Hakune & Mount Fuji area!! Would definitely recommend it.
We had an amazing day with Kuzi! We’re in Japan with our son and two of his friends for their senior trip and this tour was amazing. Kuzi was so nice and informative and we all enjoyed talking to him about all things Japan. His tour suggestions helped us enjoy our time and make the most of our day. Would absolutely book with him again.
The trip was amazing with our helpful and funny guide Kuzi. He showed us around Mt Fuji and the countless temples in Japan. We were able to complete each visit on time. Would recommend!
Ken was a fantastic driver and guide for our Hakone & Mt Fuji tour. Friendly, professional, and spoke very good English. He took us to some amazing photo spots and made the whole day smooth and enjoyable for our family. We booked through Viator and the booking process was very easy. Highly recommended!
Ken was an excellent tour guide, he gave wonderful recommendations and gave us tremendous insight into the things we experience in Japan. I would highly recommend!
Perfectly clear day of viewing Mount Fuji from all directions. This was an amazing tour with breathtaking views. Kuzi was a fantastic guide and gave perfectly clear directions, which made this super easy to do solo.
Great experience today. Was definitely value for money. Our tour guide contacted us the day before, to reconfirm and detailed our itinerary. Rana, was punctual ans we went through our itinerary when he picked us up. We asked to change a couple of teh stops as they did not appeal to us. He offered alternatives ans aksed if we would like them. He did not disappoint! The stops we made were exactly what we wanted, traditional gems. He did not rush us, but in some circumstances he would explain that in order to enjoy all stops ww may have to leave at ceetain times which we appreciated. This is why you have a tour guide after all. Rana went over the planned time but he did not mind. He made extra stops on the way back that he thought we would like. Total day was approximately 11 hours. Rana was talkative and informative. We were suffering from jetlag and so he knew when we were tired and knew when we wanted to talk. He was funny and flexible around the day. He made a great effort to make sure we enjoyed our day.
My trip to Mount Fuji was a wonderful experience, with breathtaking scenery and peaceful surroundings that made it truly memorable. The views around Lake Kawaguchi were especially beautiful, although the weather was slightly cloudy at times. Jason was very friendly, punctual, and drove safely, making the journey comfortable and stress-free. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable trip, and definitely worth visiting when in Japan.
Rana was a great tour guide and was really polite. This was an awesome experience having a private guide. He picked us up from our hotel in Tokyo and drove us around the different tourist sites of mt. Fuji. I highly recommend doing this instead of having to be on a bus full of people. We got to get 6 places done on the activity list. There are some places you have to pay a fee for such like the pirate ship ride and the ropeways, which are not bad at all. Rana picked us up at 7am and it was an 1.5 hour drive, which isn’t bad, hardly any traffic. We stayed in mt. Fuji area for about 8 hours. Overall, this experience was very pleasant and calm, we were not rushed or anything.
We had an incredible time on our tour with Rana! He was incredibly friendly, informative, and professional throughout the entire day. He shared so much great knowledge and made the whole experience seamless and enjoyable. I would recommend him 100% to anyone looking for a private tour of Hakone and Mt. Fuji. Thank you, Rana!

Rana was an amazing tour guide ❤️🌸
This is a perfect way to experience Mt. Fuji and its surrounding areas. Rana was a great driver and informed us of a bit of history at each area we stopped throughout the day. The door to door service was so convenient and appreciated. Would highly recommend.
Hiring a private guide was perfect for exploring Mt Fuji. Hideki was kind, compassionate and very flexible. What a wonderful day we had! The only issue was the traffic returning to Tokyo…. Over 4 hours to get back into the city.
The tour organizer was very responsive to our questions and feedback. We lucked out on the weather and were able to get amazing views of Mt Fuji.
I love that it was customizable. We were able to change the itinerary with what we wanted to see instead of a planned itinerary. Our driver, Hideki, knew of some amazing spots to capture great pictures. He was fantastic! Seats in the car were perfect with reclining and foot rest capabilities. We could nap during the longer stretches in between attractions.
