Booked the trip 10 months in advance and the day before it, TripAdvisor asked us to change the date. We couldn't. The evening before the trip, they cancelled it altogether. We re booked with GetYourGuide, but there was no Onesen ( hot springs) on this, so it wasn't as good. Not at all happy.

Satori was a great guide! He was very nice and patient with us traveling with kids. I would recommend him as a guide every time.
We had such a wonderful experience on this tour! Everything was well organised and ran smoothly from start to finish. The lunch was absolutely delicious and a real highlight. Our tour guide was super sweet, enthusiastic, and made the whole day even more enjoyable. Exploring Mt. Fuji, Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Yamanaka was truly unforgettable. Mt. Fuji was breathtaking in person, and both lakes offered such peaceful, beautiful scenery. Ending the day with an onsen was the perfect way to relax and take it all in. The only downside was that the ticket listed a different meeting point, and we weren’t informed of the updated location until late the night before, which was a bit stressful. Aside from that, it was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend this tour!
The guide was wonderful. He did a great job explaining things and keeping us on track throughout the day.
It is a one of a kind experience., something where you had to anticipate whether we can actually see the full view or not
We had a great experience during the entire tour. Mount Fuji is so grand and majestic! Without our tour guide, Peter, we won't have such an amazing day! He is so accommodating, friendly, and kind.
Warning: This tour, booked via Get Your Guide (Operator: Wandering Japan Adventures / Handled by Gogodaay Travel), was extremely disorganized and lacked the basic qualities of a guided experience. This felt less like a tour and more like an expensive bus shuttle. Critical Failures: Organizational Chaos: The meeting point was confusing. The guide failed to display a name tag, and the listed operator (Wandering Japan) did not match the company on-site (Gogodaay Travel). Forced & Expensive Lunch: Despite the itinerary stating lunch was not provided, the guide forced the entire bus to a remote restaurant. We were given only four expensive, poor-quality meal choices with no alternatives available. Zero Guiding or Information: The guide provided no historical context, cultural information, or details about the sites visited. Communication was difficult, and passengers often did not know what to expect upon arrival at each stop. Lack of Passenger Leniency: The guide strictly enforced the schedule, leaving passengers behind after only a three-minute wait, ignoring the long restroom queues. Aggressive Tipping: The guide aggressively solicited tips at the end of the tour, shaking a collection container at passengers as they exited the bus. Conclusion: The only positive was the view of Mt. Fuji itself. The service was severely lacking. I strongly advise booking your Mt. Fuji trip with a different operator who provides actual guidance and professional service.
Hotel pickup worked well. Stops were great. Driver was very very dangerous Speeding at 130kph Texting while driving This was scary and dangerous. If you value your life (because they obviously don’t) I suggest you give this tour company a miss.
Was okay, mount fuji was cool but the stops after that were abit boring and not much to do there. Would have been useful if the driver spoke English to. He only knew a few words
We had an incredible day at Mountain Fuji. Also had a trip to Oshino Hakkai, Lake Kawaguchi, Owakudani Valley. Our guide Jack helped us a lot, He is funny and also explained each and every thing very clearly. We had so much fun on the pirate ship as well
Overall Tour Guide Sia was very good and could speak good English, it was a little bit rushed at times due to traffic getting out of Tokyo , fortunately it was lovely weather and overall a good experience
Although it was an entire day it was a good experience. We like the fact that we didn’t have to walk so much for the day before that we walked all day.
Damon was a great tour guide. Kept it fun and professional. He is hard working, very personable and kind.
Drive was long but relaxing with beautiful scenery. Fun shopping and foods. Weather was perfect and Mt. Fuji was majestic and breathtaking. Our tour guide, Damon, was fun, organized, and helpful.
We had a family of 21 total on this trip and all had a great time. Damon from Gogoday was a great tour guide. He communicated with us the day before so we all knew where the meetup place was. He sent pictures of the flag and license plate number of the bus, to make sure everyone knew exactly where to meet. He was pleasant, informative, and funny. We were able to get great photos of the mountain throughout the day. Damon worked hard to keep us on schedule while ensuring we had time to enjoy every stop. There was also a lunch option included which was great! The price was reasonable and the food was excellent. I will definitely look to book more tours through Viator and Gogoday based on the great experience we had with Damon.
This was our second time visiting this trip we had LANER as our tour guide and she was AMAZING!!! This time we searched the Fuji weather and visibility and planned ahead. It's really important to do this since it will make or break the experience. We saw Fuji finally and had an awesome tour guide. Our tour guide LANER was very confident and explained a lot about fuji. Showing where locals go. The best spots. How it looks in different weather. We learnt a lot and know when to see it next time as well. Great lunch and we even managed to see the spring festival a very nice bonus. Gorgeous flowers. The first time we booked this we were disappointed (partly due to the weather and other half was our first tour guide - NOT LANER). But this time we were blown away. Really good value for money. Thanks again LANER. Really improved our experience! We had an amazing time.
This is the first time we went here. The weather was really bad and the tour fully depends on this. I recommend checking mount fuji weather but also VISIBILITY on google to PLAN AHEAD. Our tour guide was nova. She was okay but very quiet. One that really upset us when we visited the onsen. You can choose between onsen or a park. We chose the onsen. My partner has small tattoos but nova advised us its okay as we can purchase stickers there and cover up and we can walk in. When we got there the onsen said No. My partner had to wait outside whilst it was raining heavily too because the bus left. It was such a kick in the teeth after she assured us it was fine. With the bad weather (not their fault) its understandable. But not knowing the full rules of place we're visiting and then leaving is really bad.
I cannot stress this enough—skip this tour! The positive reviews are clearly a result of the guide begging for them at the end of the trip, which is the only way this agency could possibly have high ratings. Now, let me walk you through this disaster of an experience. The meeting point was set for 7:45 AM, with precise instructions on where to find the guide and what their flag would look like. Sounds simple, right? Wrong. Upon arrival, we were met with over 20 different Chinese tour guides, all holding the same flag, leading completely different tours. The scene was pure chaos—confused tourists wandering around, unable to find their guide, and when we tried asking for help, the guides were unbelievably rude, dismissive, and outright hostile. They turned their backs on us and literally ran away rather than helping. Everyone around us was just as shocked and appalled by this behavior. After much struggle, we forced one of them to tell us our guide’s name. Enter Kai, our supposed leader, who was already visibly irritated before the tour even started. He immediately yelled at everyone, rushing us onto the bus like we were schoolchildren. The first thing he announced? “There will be no lunch stop.” Apparently, lunch no longer fit into their schedule, so we were told to just grab snacks from convenience stores. Things only got worse from there. At every stop, we were rushed, and when someone was just five minutes late, Kai made a huge scene, threatening to leave people behind instead of waiting. But the worst part? The entire reason for this tour—Mount Fuji—wasn’t even visible. Instead of rescheduling or canceling the tour and refunding our money, we were simply told, “You won’t see Mount Fuji today.” That’s it. No apology, no compensation—just a complete waste of time and money. The actual “stops” on this tour were just parking lots. There was nothing to see, just dull, overcrowded tourist traps with no interesting shops, no cultural experiences—absolutely nothing of value. The photos on the booking site? Heavily photoshopped and completely misleading. To top it all off, at the end of the trip, our rude and condescending guide suddenly switched to begging for positive reviews. No shame whatsoever. This company does not deserve good ratings and should be avoided at all costs. Do yourself a favor and find a reputable tour company—or better yet, plan your own trip. This was an absolute scam.
BC was very entertaining and accommodating. She’s very funny and was a lovely tour guide. Thank you so much BC!!
Poor organisation Very little information during tour Long waits at each stop and no time to visit Only at second stop and wish I’d not bothered!
The listing does not say that the transportation is via carpooling. We were in a rather old van with seats that could not give anyone over 5 ft. 8 in. reasonable legroom. The ride was not comfortable. Also, the guide gave us no information (history, culture, etc.) about Mount Fuji or the surrounding area. He was, however, helpful with taking photos.
Had a wonderful experience touring Fuji today with Guo! We got very lucky with perfect weather, but Guo's helpful information and great energy really was the cherry on top - we can't recommend a tour with him enough.
Yong was the best tour guide it was awesome! We saw mt Fuji and it was fantastic. yong was very knowledgeable and helped us find the best photo spots!
Li was a really knowledgeable and helpful guide who gave us a lot of know how of Japan and what things we can explore Can definitely recommend the services
Mario is great, and friendly, everything went smooth. Given about an hour per location to explore on your own.
I recently booked a Mount Fuji day trip with Gogoday Travel (Booking No. 202410200231) and had an incredibly disappointing experience. Despite arriving at the designated meeting point (Tokyo MODEGAKUEN) at 8:20 AM, none of the Gogoday tour guides present had our names on their lists. We were left stranded as all the groups departed, and no one from Gogoday offered assistance. Fortunately, a kind tour guide from another company took us in. She even contacted the Gogoday guide, who shockingly refused to meet us to transfer us to the correct bus. This left us with no choice but to join the tour we were on and pay for it out of pocket. The Gogoday guide's refusal to help, provide company contact information for a refund, and subsequent unresponsiveness on WhatsApp is unacceptable and unprofessional. This complete lack of support ruined our planned trip and caused significant inconvenience and financial loss. Based on this experience, I strongly advise against booking with Gogoday Travel. Their lack of organization, poor communication, and disregard for customer well-being make them an unreliable choice for travelers in Japan.
The tour guide laner is really nice and attentive. she has been doing her best to lead us to visit Mount Fuji along the way.She also talked to us about various matters and led us to take many beautiful photos. She deserves a thumbs up, so please look forward to it! Thank you Laner, thank you Gogoday travel!Definitely will recommend to my friends and family✌🏼
Calm pace and an excursion that doesn't drag on for the children. Furthermore, the guide always offers several options to adapt to the participants' needs, so there is the possibility of adjusting the activity based on fatigue, the heat, and the children.
There were three of us, with our adult daughter on this day tour. Our tour guide Tony gave us exemplary information on the meeting point the night before via WhatsApp, which worked out very well. The group left on time. We visited the indicated sights with enough time each, Tony always informed us perfectly and pointed out the times for the meeting. You see very beautiful areas in rural Japan, see shrine and sky gate, drive pirate ship and gondola. We've seen sulphur spillage at volcanic crevices and eaten black eggs. The small ponds with clear Fuji water are beautiful, and when we were at Swan Lake, at the foot of Fuji, she (Fuji is a female goddess) showed herself friendly and the mountain was completely visible from the bus. Thank you Tony and driver Liu for a great day. Many greetings from Christian L.
I was a little confused by the first gathering, but everything else was smooth and I had a very good trip. The weather was especially nice on Mt. Fuji.
