Keita was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable and patient. He took many photos and sent them to us very quickly after the tour. He knew of all of the spots to access attractions via wheelchair. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone with accessibility needs in Japan.

This tourist center designed by Kengo Kuma is not just a valuable source of sightseeing information, but one of Asakusa’s newest sightseeing attractions. This 8-story building, designed by a world famous Japanese architect, has a very striking structure with the appearance of a stack of separate wooden buildings that seem piled up on top of each other at different angles. From the open terrace Observation Deck on the 8th floor of the Center, we will have a preview of the entire tour course: not just Tokyo Sky Tree and Asahi Flame we have just seen but the landmarks we are going to see including Kaminarimon gate, Nakamise shopping street, Hozomon gate, Sensoji Temple, and more.
When approaching Sensoji temple, visitors first enter through the Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate), the outer gate of Sensoji Temple and the symbol of Asakusa and the entire city of Tokyo. A shopping street of over 200 meters, called Nakamise, leads from the outer gate to the temple's second gate, the Hozomon. Alongside typical Japanese souvenirs such as yukata and folding fans, various traditional local snacks from the Asakusa area are sold along the Nakamise. The shopping street has a history of several centuries.
Sensoji (浅草寺, Sensōji, also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple) is a Buddhist temple located in Asakusa. It is one of Tokyo's most colorful and popular temples. The legend says that in the year 628, two brothers fished a statue of Kannon, the goddess of mercy, out of the Sumida River, and even though they put the statue back into the river, it always returned to them. Consequently, Sensoji was built nearby for the goddess of Kannon. The temple was completed in 645, making it Tokyo's oldest temple.
Sumida Park is located near Asakusa station and along the Sumida River where you can see amazing views such as Tokyo Skytree. Especially you can see beautiful scenery at the season of cherry blossoms. The park is open space and it is very fun to walk around. It has landing places for popular waterbuses that tour the Sumida River and Tokyo Bay. The park is a part of Sumida River Terrace that is a promenade built along the Sumida River.
Shibuya Crossing near the Shibuya Station is crossed by as many as 500,000 people per day, and at a peak time, as many as 3,000 people cross at one green light! For Japanese who are used to seeing this view is nothing to be surprised about, but tourists seem to be marveled that everyone manages to cross without bumping into each other. There are always people going to the spot just to see this crossing. Along with New York’s Times Square, Shibuya Crossing is one of the “most famous crossings in the world.”
Its location between two of Tokyo’s biggest shopping districts, Harajuku and Shibuya, makes it an ideal catwalk for fabulous 20- and 30-something trendsetters. The half-mile long street is lined with stores ranging from vintage shops and local designer clothing to upscale boutiques and high-end international brands.
Meiji Shrine (明治神宮, Meiji Jingū) is a shrine dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his consort, Empress Shoken. Located just beside the JR Yamanote Line's busy Harajuku Station, Meiji Shrine and the adjacent Yoyogi Park make up a large forested area within the densely built-up city. The spacious shrine grounds offer walking paths that are great for a relaxing stroll.
Omotesando is a sloping tree-lined boulevard in Tokyo's fashionable Aoyama district that goes through parts of both Shibuya and Minato wards. The Harajuku area, which Omotesando is often considered a part of, has its own distinctive brand of youth fashion. On the other hand, Omotesando itself caters to the haute couture end of the spectrum, with plenty of places to sit back and relax over good food and drink, and take in the cutting edge architecture that typifies many of the establishments here.

Our tour guide Rie was so wonderful! She met with us in the morning and we discussed places we wanted to see and experience. We were really up for anything so she took charge and took us to some of the most popular places. She helped us navigate the train stations since this was our first day and we were going to be there a whole week. She was very knowledgeable about the places we visited which included the Sensoji Temple and Meiji Jingu Shrine (our favorite) and Harajuku. We also had a delicious lunch at a restaurant she recommended near Ueno Park. She was so very kind and answered any questions we had. I cannot recommend this tour and Rie to anyone who is coming to Tokyo for the first time as a wheelchair user!
“Bob” was such an amazing and caring guide. We had an amazing experience and traveling with accessibility issues that is a big deal. Highly recommended!
Yuki was fantastic. She communicated with us the day before the trip, and the company also reached out a few days in advance. She picked us up from our hotel, and we set off by train with two family members who had mobility challenges: one using a wheelchair and the other using a walker. Throughout the tour, Yuki regularly checked in to see how we were doing, when we wanted to eat, and whether we wanted to make any changes to the itinerary. She handled all of the train costs and took many photos that we were able to download later. We would recommend Yuki in a heartbeat.
Keita (K) was wonderful! He was very cognizant of making sure of my ability to travel and see all the locations. I was especially impressed with his working with trainsubway personnel for access. As a side note the train/subway system is amazing. Lunch was incredible. K provided great history and cultural throughout our time together. It wonderful having K make sure we had the best photo opps everywhere we went. K went over and above after seeing we had another tour scheduled in Osaka and contacted his counterpart to let them know what our particular interests are. We started with a great tour guide and finished with a friend. Highly recommended this tour and Keita as your guide. Thank you.
Charlotte was so incredibly knowledgeable and her guidance made the entire visit both enjoyable and informative. We especially appreciate how accommodating she was to our accessibility needs for our son. Her kindness and attentiveness made a difference and memorable experience for our family.
It was our first time in Tokyo and our first time vacationing with a wheelchair and Masaharu Kai guided us through the must see attractions and subway stations with confident ease. Not only did we see some amazing places and stopped at culturally significant food stalls and tempura restaurant, but we left the day with all the information and confidence we need to continue exploring the city on our own for the remainder of our stay. A fantastic experience, a well planned and paced day, an incredible guide and sunny weather, couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Wonderful day out with a very kind, friendly, patient, and helpful guide. We managed to have really good tempura lunch at a local Japanese restaurant and see a lot of the famous sights. Also got to try the local trains! When we wanted to buy some good coffee, he was knowledgeable and brought us to a couple of great shops! Recommended for wheelchair users. The guide (Masaharu Kai) kindly offered to help push the wheelchair, even though it was outside his job scope to do so! Highly recommended.
This tour was a great way to travel around several must-see areas in Tokyo! Our tour guide Keita was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and he made it easy for us to get around with a wheelchair-bound member of the family. We also felt a lot more confident using the subway independently after our experience on this tour!
Masaharu Kai is one of the best walking tour guides my husband and I have ever had—and we travel often! This was truly an outstanding experience. I have limited mobility, which usually makes standard walking tours difficult. Masaharu made everything easy and enjoyable. His extensive knowledge of Japan’s history and culture, combined with his attention to accessibility, made this tour exceptional. Every site we visited was wheelchair- or rollator walker-friendly, which is what Japan calls “barrier-free.” We moved at the perfect pace, navigated trains effortlessly, and Masaharu knew exactly where to find elevators and accessible routes at temples and shrines. I never felt rushed or excluded. Each stop was full of surprises, delicious food, and fascinating history. If you have limited mobility, I strongly recommend booking a tour with Masaharu Kai. He goes above and beyond to ensure everyone has an unforgettable experience!
The tour guide was great took time explained things as we went and was considerate of our pace. Would recommend
It was a great look around Tokyo, so many sights to see! Our guide was lovely and inclusive of everyone in our family. My daughter said that the best part of the day was everything!
First time visiting Japan and wanted to get a feel for what to expect. Mutsuko-san was a fantastic guide. Showed us many things and places. She was fun to explore the city with and very informative about what we were seeing and doing. One us being in a wheelchair, we had concerns about navigating the subways and city but Mutsuko-san was incredible and helpful and put our worries to rest. Highly recommend her and this tour.
We were a family of four, in Tokyo for only one week and wanted to see the best sites. Our son, Jaiden, is in a wheelchair and so we needed a tour guide who understood those challenges and could help us navigate the city effectively. Eriko was a fabulous tour guide! She took us to Senju Temple and Meiji Shrine, which were amazing! Also, to Shabuya Crossing and Cat Street. We had an amazing lunch of Yakitori. All the while, she made sure that there were no accessibility challenges whatsoever. A rare find! We recommend this tour whole-heartedly!! It was our favorite day of the trip!!
I had the absolute pleasure of touring Tokyo with Narita-san as our guide, and I cannot recommend his services highly enough. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind throughout the entire experience. Narita-san tailored the tour perfectly to our interests and pace. He took us through some of the most iconic and culturally rich areas of Tokyo, including Akihabara, Shibuya, the Meiji Shrine, and the beautiful shrine in Asakusa. At every stop, he shared insights and historical context that gave each place so much more depth and meaning. He was always attentive to our needs and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. His calm and friendly demeanor made the experience not only informative but also genuinely enjoyable. If you’re visiting Tokyo and want someone who truly knows the city and cares about giving you a memorable, personalized experience, Narita-san is the guide you want. Thank you again, Narita-san!
We had a wonderful trip, thanks Kaori's able and kind guidance. Her extraordinary knowledge , kindness and consideration made our trip smooyh and memorable .
A fine experience, with a most competent, knowledgeable and pleasant guide. We utterly enjoyed this guided tour.

Head to Shibuya, walk around Shibuya,Shibuya Scramble, Harajuku, Takeshita Street & end the day at the beautiful Mei Ji Shrine
Wonderful helpful guide. Who was extremely kind. It helped us to get around the Tokyo metro with ease. Satsuki was a warm person.
We had an amazing time being shown around Tokyo. Machiko was very knowledgeable of the area's history and the best places to visit. She was very accommodating of our requests and needing wheelchair access to the activities.
Wonderful caring guide and respectful Japanese. Station attendants wonderful in providing the slope ramp at every station we used!
Had an amazing time! my mom and I saw serval place we have never seen in Tokyo and our guild was fantastic could not ask for a better guild!
This was an amazing trip! Fumiko was a fantastic tour guild. Fumiko help us get through the train with a wheelchair which is extremely challenging. She also took us to a great restaurant and try new foods! She is a truly impressive tour guild!
Kaori was well-organized, friendly, and very accomodating to our needs in regard to mobility. She adapted our itinerary quickly. Provided great additional information on specific sites and made a great lunch recommendation. She was truly concerned and committed to us having a great tour experience!
A fantastic experience seeing Tokyo with the fantastic Fumiko. We were met at our hotel ant 9-30am and taken to the metro close bye. Fumiko explained our day ahead on the train and took us to several sites around Tokyo. My wife has a manual wheelchair and there was no issues gaining access to the several places Fumiko took us to . We explained we liked to try little local treats as we walked around. We enjoyed pastries and ice cream amongst other things. She also took us to a restaurant where we enjoyed a light lunch before continuing our tour which lasted till late afternoon. Throughly enjoyable day if not a little exhausting towards the end as it was very hot. If you are the carer you should be aware that you will be walking 5 or 6 miles on the day so a certain amount of fitness would be needed. All in all a great way to see a lot of the sites of Tokyo in one day with the knowledge of a great tour guide in Fumiko.
I would highly recommend this tour for accessibility. Our tour guide, Fumiko, was friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole tour.
Fumiko was an excellent guide. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Although a tiny girl, easily lost in a crowd and it is very crowded in Tokyo, she always kept track of us and made sure we could see everything, including myself that was sitting lower being in a wheelchair. She surprised us with a gift and refunded some monies we spent on transportation, that was included in the cost of the tour. We missed that and the honesty of refunded is so impressive. And something we are not used to. We would highly recommend this accessible tour.
Yumi was so helpful explaining the culture and helping us through the crowded Asakusa area, our favorite experience. She is a wealth of knowledge about history and architecture, describing differences between the architecture of temples and shrines. She was flexible with our itinerary and knew the best ways to walk with the fewest steps when our legs were tired. We loved her!
This was a perfect activity for our 96-year old mother who uses a combination rollator-wheelchair. Our gracious guide Emiko-san led us through the highlights of Tokyo and showed us how to navigate and seek wheelchair assistance in the Metro subway system. We walked 15,000 steps and had a wonderful day. We highly recommend this tour!
We booked an accessible tour as my wife suffered an unfortunate accident whilst on holiday and was wheelchair bound. We were met at our hotel by our guide Fumiko, a very caring and informative guide. I am sure she has done this particular highlights tour of Tokyo many times previously but she came across as it was her first time. She carefully guided us on the underground system ensuring guards were available with portable ramps to allow the wheelchair on the train at entering and exit. It was very hot and humid at the time of our visit but we made several stops for refreshment along the way. We went from the calm of strolling through beautiful park and shrines to the organised chaos of the famous Shibuya crossing. All in all a most pleasurable experience and highly recommended for visitors who may have doubt about using a wheelchair on the busy streets of Tokyo
Masayo was an outstanding tour guide. She shared a great deal of interesting facts & history. Masayo navigated the subway assistance so it very easy in a wheelchair. We highly recommend this tour & Masayo.
Very knowledgeable, attentive to my husband quest for Japan history . I may say so that this trip highlights is one , is Yoko . Thank you so much.
First day in Tokyo Yoko demonstrated high level of professionalism in handling me in my wheelchair using Tokyo public transportation notorious for its complexity. Most importantly, she created an itinerary showing us wide range of Tokyo Places and neighborhoods. Yoko has a very attractive, warm, and friendly personality. Great first day in Tokyo!
Today was very nice. Our guide Hoemiko was very sweet and fun. She did a great job showing us some nice and important parts of Tokyo! We enjoyed it so much. Much recomended!
We had a wonderful day with Fumiko as guide. Very flexible and smooth travel using the metro system. So many details about the life in Japan and a wonderful choice for lunch.
We had a wonderful day and tour. We visited Asakusa and the Sensoji Temple, Shibuya and Meiji Shrine. Had lunch in Asakusa and ice cream near the Meiji Shrine. Learned how to move around Tokyo in the rails. Shizuko was a delightful guide - a lot of fun and very informative. She was also a big help in getting me around. As a bonus, she also recommended that we visit the Edo Museum the next day and gave us directions on how to get there and back. It is a wonderful museum and we learned a lot. We also ate at the museum restaurant and then visited the Kyu Yasuda gardens and the Yokoamii-cho Park where there is a beautiful memorial to the 1923 earthquake victims. If we ever return to Tokyo, we will again plan to meet up with Shizuko.
We thoroughly enjoyed our full day tour with Shizuko. She gracefully guided us through Tokyo and shared tips, history and a true love of the city. We saw many more sites than we would have been able to see on our own and Shizuko also shared travel information for the remainder of our trip. If you think you may be able to navigate the public transportation system of Tokyo but are wondering if you should book a guide, do yourself a favor and enjoy a visit with the help of Shizuko. It will be time we’ll spent. We would do it again in a heartbeat.
I was very happy with Yoko and my tour, It was a fantastic way to see the sites of Tokyo by myself and my tour guide. Yoko was very well informed with her way around and the history of the sites! Yoko’s English was excellent and would highly recommend this tour. Regards Michele
We had a fantastic private tour in Tokyo. Our guide was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. He paid particular attention to our son with a disability and made sure that everyone could enjoy the day to the fullest. In a short time we have seen and learned a lot about both Japanese culture and daily life. This tour was without a doubt one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended!
The best decision I could make to travel to Japan was to hire the services of this Enterprise. At all times they advised me and we made the trip to measure. I am a wheelchair user and on the trip we were a total of 4 people and 2 of them with wheelchairs. Both the visits and the guides and the transport was perfect, all very professional and at the same time very close.
