Fuji/hakone Private Tour With English Guide & Fully Customizable

Ryo is a great tour guide! Friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, respectful, and professional. He took us to all the great spots and knew which sites to go first to get the best view and with the least amount of traffic/crowds! He suggested we started our tour earlier to beat the crowds..so glad we did! It made such a big difference! He went over the itinersry in the beginning, gave us lots of options and shared some recommendations. He tailored the itinerary to make sure it meets our needs. He was very accommodating. We never felt rushed. He went out of his way to make sure our group had a great experience! He generously took a lot of professional photos of our group and sent us awesome photos! He also helped me take some great pictures with my own camera. He is such a great guy all around! For lunch, he shared the different options available...we decided on having a traditional Japanese lunch, so he took us to this great family-owned restaurant. The food and atmosphere were fabulous! Our family of five had a great day thanks to Ryo! Wished we could have known about him sooner so that we could have arranged for him to be our guide for all the cities we visited. We highly recommend Ryo for any tour in Japan!

We had a fantastic experience having Roy as our guide. He was very punctual, professional, courteous and take his tour guide very seriously. In the beginning, he went over the day’s itinerary to ensure that the destination is correct and he was very amenable to changes. He also offered some suggestions. We made a slight change based on his recommendations which was from his experience and we are grateful for that. He was also an expert photographer so he knows all the vantages spots for good photography for our family group. He sent the pictures to us. We also ate at this wonderful family-owned traditional Japanese restaurant. We Loved the food and the atmosphere. Our day was filled with new experience and appreciation of the Japanese culture. We wish that he could be our guide for all the outer destination. Highly recommend Ryo to our friends and family and anyone looking for a competent, friendly and above and beyond tour guide.

We had a wonderful day with Naz on this private tour. Thanks to his experience, we had perfect views of Mount Fuji from several locations he took us to. This would not have been the case had he not suggested picking us up at 5:30am instead of the scheduled 8am. He knew there would be a tremendous amount of traffic and that the views from the north side were better earlier in the morning….and he was right!!!!! We got one of the 80 days a year to get spectacular views! Naz is personable, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He also speaks English very well. This will be a day my husband and I will always remember. Thanks Naz😊

This was the second of our three days with Naz & Explore Japan Together! All of the pre-tour arrangements were made with Yuta in their main office. He was very accommodating to our wishes and scheduling. As our guide/driver Naz was exceptional in accommodating our interests and physical limitations. After seeing Mt Fuji "from the south" from our cruise excursion, it was wonderful to get up close and more personal with the region with a private guide/tour. We saw and experienced a lot of the sights, culture and food and will be forever grateful for our time in Japan.

Naz was great! We traveled with our three year old to Mount Fuji for a day trip from Tokyo. He had an amazing day planned for us and was very flexible with our child and he adjusted our trip accordingly to the weather etc! Had a fantastic lunch too. We’d definitely recommend him! We had an excellent day! He was a very safe and excellent driver!

My Fuji was absolutely beautiful. Our tour guide made sure we saw it from as many places as possible. He took the best care of us. He was very polite and tailored the experience to what we wanted to do and see. You cannot go wrong with this excursion.

We booked this on Viator the day before. It said 8am fully customizable tour and that our guide would be in touch shortly. When I hadn’t heard from the guide by early that morning I sent a message but apparently he had reached out right (on WhatsApp) after the tour was booked saying we should leave earlier than 8am to avoid traffic and for the best chance at clarity of Mt.Fuji. I wish I had received that message or knew where to look! Not too big of a deal (I was just expecting communications through the Viator app or standard text or email). But we did hit traffic which would have been nice to avoid as we’re already on a tight timeline with dinner reservations - again nothing crazy. Our guide was nice and I sent the feedback to Viator for improved communications for the next person. I would also title it more “private driver” and you will see some tourist attractions/sights in line with everyone else. Not a private tour/guide.

We did a two day tour. Day 1 a Tokyo tour and day 2 a Mt Fuji Tour. The tours were lovely and highly recommended for first time visitors. Would be difficult to consider or reach these places without a guide. Ahmed is an excellent guide. Very obliging, good company and has good insight into the tourist sights in Tokyo and Japan in general. I would highly reccomend him.

A beautiful experience! Ahamed is an excellent photographer who knows the best spots and gives great tips. He made sure everyone was comfortable and happy. Without this tour, it would have been impossible to see so much in one day! We discovered amazing places in Hakone and Kawaguchiko, and we had the chance to see Mount Fuji from a different and unique viewpoint. Highly recommended!

A perfect tour for a day either if you travel alone like I did but I could also bring my kids on this one easily! Highly recommend this tour! Attary did a great job guiding us to mnt. Fuji and around town, though the clouds were against us was still a great experience. He sounded like he knew a lot about the area and was interactive with us 10/10 recommended.

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Ahamed was our guide for our Mount Fuji tour while we celebrated our daughter’s birthday, and he made it truly special. Our tour was scheduled for a 7 AM departure, however Ahamed suggested we leave at 5 AM instead — a call that made all the difference. We got a clear view of Mt. Fuji several times, including from the best spots - Chureito Pagoda and Lake Kawaguchi. Soon Mt. Fuji became clouded over shortly after. Without his judgment, we would have completely missed it. Also, because of the early start, the crowds were much less throughout the day! The rest of the day was just as great: a lovely village, delicious street food, outlet shopping, and a smooth return to Tokyo by 3 PM avoiding traffic. Ahamed’s pleasant personality and deep knowledge of Japan made the day even better — he gave us wonderful tips for other stops on our trip. He is also a professional photographer and took phenomenal photos of us throughout the day, like having our own personal photographer. Can’t recommend him enough!

This was one of the best and most unique things I have ever experienced! Our driver Naz was extremely experienced, super knowledgeable and also an excellent photographer who knew all the best spots! He accommodated the tour to our interests and the weather. I could not have asked for a better guide, I will def try to book him again when I return to Japan.

Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy and we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji, but Shabeer made sure the trip was still memorable by taking us to beautiful spots and creating a great experience for all of us. He was truly excellent and I will recommend him anytime. Ahamed is a star!! Although we started early Mt Fuji was totally covered in the morning. Seeing our disappointment he was quick to suggest a change in our itinerary so that we occupy ourselves whilst waiting. And as he predicted when we got to the view points later we had a awesome abd clear view of the mountain. It was simply spectacular.

The entire experience with this travel company was seamless from start to finish- they were well spoken and attentive - I contacted them on WhatsApp while in South Africa before arriving in Japan. Everything was exceptionally well-organised and tweaked to suit our schedule and our dietary needs (halaal) - Ahmed handled every aspect of the day trip with skill and professionalism, making it feel effortless and stress-free. We had an absolutely outstanding day exploring the Mt. Fuji area with Naz! He picked us up in Yokohama and expertly timed our approach to the mountain to maximize the clearing clouds, despite rain being predicted, we got incredible views thanks to his local knowledge. A few highlights included the eerily quiet Aokigahara Forest and the beautiful Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba, where we enjoyed local crafts and food. As a couple of seniors, we especially appreciated how Naz tailored the pace to our needs and predicted exactly what we needed throughout the day. While we didn’t book a professional photo package, Naz’s skills as a photographer were a huge bonus; he used our phones to capture wonderful shots of us enjoying the sites. Naz is knowledgeable, pleasant, and highly professional. We cannot recommend him enough!

We had a fantastic time with Ahmed!! He organized all our places around the weather to get maximum viewing on Mt Fuji, even travelling to the other side of it! We booked two days and the other in Hakone was also awesome, as he tried to fit in as much as possible due to the wet weather due on our next day of travel. He took amazing photos and gave us some helpful tips. Highly recommended and disappointed we didn't book another day with him.

We experienced the most welcoming, supportive and knowledgeable guide, Ahmed. Even though the day turned rainy and couldn’t see Mount Fuji, Ahmed re-planned an unforgettable experience around the area, taking us to caves, historic temples, markets and amazing local cuisines. He was patient to ensure to take us everywhere we showed interest. Not to mention his incredible knowledge about the Fuji region and the history of Japan. I cannot recommend Ahmed enough. I plan to come again, and I will surely insist of having him guide us further.
