From Tokyo Customized Mount Fuji Private Day Trip

We had a great time with Moon, he showed and told us everything we needed to see and know. He was punctual, kind and patient! Easy five star, I recommend him!

Amazing day. So glad we took the chance and booked it. Malik was awesome. He was very punctual and picked us up right at the front door of our hotel. He gave us so much information on our surroundings and gave us plenty of time to explore. Also suggested different points of interest since it was a rainy day. Definitely recommend 👌 A++

Alex was a good guide, really cared about making sure we got there early to get views before clouds covered the mountains. Took good photos of the two of us, knew the best spots for the best photos. Went out of his way to find us a cool spot for lunch. I wish we would have hit one more spot, the areas we visited were good but very touristy.

Our driver Moon was skilled and also a knowledgeable guide, able answer our questions in addition to volunteering useful information. We were lucky he advised us to start early (5:30) as there were not yet crowds and the view of Mount Fuji was clear, but cloudy later.

Today, Oct 30,2026, Alex our tour guide fetch us on tine in our Hotel, then he was very courteous and accommodating, on our he described the places we passed by, until we reached to our destination, the weather is cloudy but he managed to show us the best that the weather permits to the places around Mt Fuji, he recommended places to ate, to spots where to snapped good pictures , he was one taking photos of us. Overall the experience was memorable and enjoyable, no regrets Alex was our guide for our tour.

The tour overall comprises of many spots; we had a good experience in terms of the place (Kawaguchiko and places nearby). The itinerary requires some fix. As per Viator this was doable in 7 hours because 2 hours had to be kept for driver to return to base. But the inclusions spots consume 9 hours basis the information given. Also, Viator needs to be more careful with picking professional driver/tour partners. Rash driving, perpetually calling the customers at every stop location to ask ‘how much time’, and overall unprofessional attitude is not appreciated.

It was a nice day with our tour guide as well According to our iternary the day started early at Chureito Pagoda where we admired the iconic view of Mount Fuji framed by the pagoda… After that,we visited Lake Kawaguchi where we enjoyed the serene lakeside walk and beautiful reflections of Fuji.. Then we had a delightful lunch, and next we explored Oshino Hakkai Village, known for its crystal-clear spring water and traditional thatched houses.. After that we went to the Speedway and we finished the day in Hakone… Highly recommended

We did a group day tour to Mt. Fuji and Hakone two weeks ago, and while that was pretty good, this one ended up being better because it was private and we got to do better stops such as Oishi Park, Lake Kawaguchi, Chureito Pagoda, and Mt. Fuji 5th Station. The last group tour we did only stopped at the 5th Station, some place in Gotemba for lunch, Hakone for the cable car ride, and a boat ride on a lake. Pretty good stops, but that was it. Also, that day tour had absolutely no good Mt. Fuji photo opportunity stop, which is huge (the 5th Station stop or seeing it while driving by on a bus doesn’t count). Not knocking that other day tour—like I said, we enjoyed it—but with this private day tour you have more time and opportunities to do more and even better stops with great Fuji photo opportunities, provided the weather cooperates. Unfortunately for us, due to the weather and the fact that we were coming from Kyoto, we had to start our day tour later from Tokyo at 9 am instead of 5 or 6 am, which would’ve been a much better idea. But even so, we made the most of our tour and got some pretty good captures of Mt. Fuji as well, which was our top priority! A big thank you to our driver, Mani, for the excellent job he did driving and guiding us everywhere on this tour today. So if you’re looking for a way to do a day trip to Mt. Fuji and the areas around it, definitely go with a private day tour like this. It may cost more, but it’s worth it compared to doing the group bus day tours.

We booked this trip at the last minute and it was a wonderful day. Ali arrives at the hotel right on time and we enjoyed the whole experience. He walked us in to all the places including buying tickets at the Hanoke Ropeway and then gave us time to experience places on our own. He met us when we were done so we didn’t need to remember where the car was. I’m glad we didn’t miss seeing Mount Fuji and was happy to not be on a bus.

What a day! It could hardly have been more perfect. The weather was great and the day was packed full of amazing experiences. Our guide Alex was knowledgeable and got us everywhere we hoped to and more. We absolutely give him top marks and recommend to anyone who wants to experience Mt. Fuji and the surroundings. Anyone interested in doing this tour should use his experience and advice. He suggested leaving at 6:00am rather than the scheduled 8:00am and in doing so we saved at least three hours of sitting in traffic - judging by Google maps. Alex was more than happy to pick us up at our hotel instead of the advertised pickup spot. We got to shrine overlooking the mountain, had breakfast at the Yamanakako lake overlooking Mt. Fuji, did the Ropeway with views of volcanic activity and finally a boat ride on a cruise ship before returning home. Thank you very much for a wonderful day!

This tour was great! It allowed us to see a lot in one day and some areas we did not previously know about. Our driver Malik was very friendly, flexible and accommodating. Would book with them again for a family trip.

Had a great day going to Mt Fuji with the family. Hasan was a great guide and tailored the experience to us. He had good recommendations on good photo spots and activities to do. We got great pictures of the mountain and pickup and drop off was very smooth.

What an immense disappointment today was. We booked this private tour with the expectation of the given itinerary. The inclusion/ exclusion list given with the booking was very clear about what tickets we would have to cover. After collection in Toyko we visited the first 2 points of interest , as per the given itinerary, viz the Chureito pagoda and then the Oshino Hakkai village. From there the tour suddenly deviated. After more than an hour of driving we arrived at the Hakone cableway. This was not a stop on the booked itinerary. The itinerary had stated that all stops were within 10- 15 min of each other. Additionally we then got told that the waiting queue for the cableway was well over an hour and wouldn't really be feasible. That was then announced as the end of the tour! No Mt Fiji 5th station, no ropeway, no shrine!!! From 6h15 to 13h30 we had spent 2 hrs on foot and 5.25 hrs in a car!! And then had a 2.5 hr return drive to Tokyo. The "English speaking guide" was rather a driver with minimal English. The drives were done in silence, with no sharing of information or details of the areas, history, cultural significance etc . It truly was a very disappointing day, falsely advertised and completely misrepresented - not at all what the TripAdvisor site nor my confirmed booking e mail had indicated. Shoaib was an outstanding tour guide! He arrived promptly at 5:30 a.m. and spent the entire day taking us to Mount Fuji and several other beautiful spots before dropping us back in Tokyo around 4:15 p.m. He was professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and incredibly patient throughout the journey. We had a great day today with our wonderful driver and guide Qisam. His English and understanding was a good surprise for us and he was able to tailor our trip to suit the varied needs of 2 80+ passengers and our daughter in her 50s. He knew good places to get snacks and coffees and good clean restrooms. A serious accident on the freeway on the way to Mt Fuji and also on the highway on the way back added an extra 90 mins to our trip but Qisam willingly and cheerfully put in the extra time and ensured we all had a fabulous time. Shahzaib was the tour guide for me and my friend’s sightseeing experience. Shahzaib truly made our experience. His driving was timely, efficient, and comfortable to the point where you can sleep peacefully on the long drive, which was extremely helpful for me and my friends since we aren’t morning people and had to be out the door before 6am. He’s kind, informative, flexible with time and will humbly adjust to your needs. Shahzaib is simply superb. Throughout the 8 hour tour, my friends as well as I, were engaged and having an absolute blast seeing sights we couldn’t dream of, but now will. This truly was an incredible experience, highly recommend.

We had a great experience today at Mount Fuji with our Guide Ali, we went to the pagoda with 450 steps and the view from there was just amazing. We went there early because our Guide recommended and it was the best choice after that we went to Oishi Park we really liked the smell of the fresh flowers with the beautiful view of the lake. Overall, it was a beautiful day. I would recommend this Tour company to everyone specially with this guy he made our whole day very special.

Faiq was super friendly and knew what the best activities and timings were for our family to have a great day at Mt Fuji. It was hot and he suggested water activities and to get on the road early to avoid the worst heat, crowds and traffic congestion. Recommended!

We reserved this tour in advance with great expectations but were disappointed. Hassan was in charge of our “tour”,which was really just transportation, he arrived late for traffic issues as he refers, he never explained anything to us. He has limited English skills and speaks very quietly; he seemed inexperienced and is really only cut out to be a driver. We had the bad luck of running into traffic; I think it would have been better to take the train, which takes only two hours, whereas we spent three and a half hours each way. The guide refused to take us to the planned route due to time constraints and traffic (which wasn't our fault); we wanted the classic photo at the Chureito Pagoda, but he didn't take us there. After visiting Japan with high hopes and enduring a 22-hour journey to get here from our country , the least he could do is stick to the itinerary. We couldn't see Mt. Fuji due to the weather, but we at least wanted to experience the area and its iconic spots. We went to the lake area for lunch, but because we were short on time, we only had an hour—leaving no time to explore the area or the shops—and then he rushed us to see a pond that had a shop selling only food products. It was a wasted day; I don't recommend it. Take the train.

Faiq was a great guide who spoke English. He suggested a 5.30am pickup which was excellent advice as we missed the traffic and crowds at the stops. Had plenty of time to experience and explore the different stops getting some great views of Mt Fuji and other sites. He was on time for pickup and the van was comfortable for 5 people. We booked late the night prior with no issues experienced. Great service and highly recommended.

We had an amazing tour of Mount Fuji and nearby gardens, villages, and shrines wifh our driver Ali. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. We were able to customize our tour to spend two hours hiking on Mount Fuji from 5th Station. The weather was socked in with clouds, fog, and drizzle, so we never actually saw the summit. But it was lovely.

I have been very pleased with my excursion out of the city and into a more rural Japan. Honey has been an excellent guide giving us info on the various parts where he was taking us. He made sure to find out where we wanted to go and got us to each location while walking us to the places we would enjoy the most. We were able to explore for as long as we wanted and made sure message him via WhatsApp when we were ready to move on. We were able to see Mt Fuji in all its beauty on a hot summer day which I understand is not always the case. He brought us to an off the beaten path restaurant for lunch which was delicious and gave us the Japan experience we were looking for without the crowds. Overall, Honey was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about the area. The advice I would give someone booking this experience would be to look at the given itinerary and have an idea what you’d like to do. This will help you and the guide to provide a better experience. I would also make sure you’re hotel pickup is within the 23 wards as I thought mine was being in the Chiba area but it wasn’t which cost is an additional 7000¥ not a huge amount, but something to take into consideration. Overall, being a passenger and not having to navigate an airport, train, bus or other mode of transportation was huge for my family of 4. I loved being able to look out the window and see the country for all its worth. Thank you Honey for a great day! So far it’s been my favorite while traveling in Japan!

Fabulous day trip!! 100%!! Moon was GREAT as he took me and my family to the various destinations on the itinerary and provided valuable information and history to the locations. I loved the private tour, the freedom and flexibility alotted at site locations! But, the best was that Moon contacted me the day before, introducing himself and recommending that we start the day trip earlier than the scheduled time (9a). This allowed for better viewing of Mt. Fuji! As the day went along, more cloud cover and difficult to see Mt. Fuji. Moon was absolutely right!! So glad we met up earlier to start. Had great views of Mt. Fuji ! Great photo ops, too! And, Moon definitely knows how to position folks for great pics! Moon, so pleasant, hospitable, kind, and knowledgeable!! THANK YOU!!!

Very good value trip because the driver comes straight to your door and asks you which attractions/ sites you want to visit and you can stay for as long (or short) as you like without having to stick to a preplanned itinerary or be part of a big bus tour. We visited the onsen in Hakone and had a fabulous meal at the nearby museum. Fabulous views of Mt Fuji from the law and pagoda. Best way to see Mt Fuji!
