From Tokyo Private Nikko Shrines And Nature Day Tour

Javad was prompt , friendly and flexible. He knew the shortcuts and got us everywhere we wanted to go. He was able to time all our chosen destinations so we completed our entire list.

We were picked up promptly from our hotel at 6 am by our driver Javed. He has excellent communication skills, was a skilled driver, and his car was very comfortable. Javed and I discussed our wish list for Nikko sightseeing and he recommended a route which I think worked out very well and avoided the worst crowds. Javed is very kind and never rushed us. Although he is technically a driver and not a guide, he was able to give us some information. He also recommended an Udon restaurant for lunch in Nikko which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks for the awesome day! :))

Hashimi was an excellent guide for us . We had a day tour to Nikko , Kegan falls , Rayuzu falls and a few shrines . He was very knowledgeable about the history of the area . We were very impressed with his punctuality as well . Would definitely recommend him . Had a fantastic day . Thank you 😊

Great experience. Keep in mind this isn't hold your hand with a full on narration type tour. They drive you around to all the sights, give you a few insights and allow you to explore. I do appreciate that the driver picked us up from our hotel then then accommodated us when we wanted to explore another part of Tokyo. Overall, it was great!

It is a full day. The commute from our hotel Ikebukuro was 2:39. I like that it was flexible and the guide didn’t feel obligated to hit all the stops. When we had seen enough he was ok to end the tour. We saw the waterfalls, shrines, temple, lake, had an amazing Japanese style lunch and a coffee stop, great tour.

Hashmi was an excellent tour guide, the weather was not cooperating but he made it a great day anyway. Touring the temples was so beautiful. We then went to a lake and got to see some snow monkeys on the way! Overall a great day with a great tour guide.

Our driver Javed showed up on time in an immaculate 7 seater vehicle with car seats already fitted for our little ones. (Requested in advance) we loved that a private tour allowed us to travel at a pace suitable for our little family and accommodate the needs of the children. The Nikko trip was a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the city. Beautiful waterfalls and shrines. Our driver directed us to a fabulous lunch.

Personal pick up at our hotel was definitely a bonus for us. Of particular interest for us was Tosho-gu & Kanmangafuchi Abyss with the Jizo statues. If you like to wander & spend a long time at each stop this is not the trip for you as there is too much to see. Our driver was quiet though competent and we appeciated his assistance in making sure any ticketing issues were sorted.

We did have a great day but soon realised that our “guide” was more of a driver than a guide. I was a bit confused when he asked what we wanted to do as I thought what I boooked was a fixed itinerary. There is no time to do everything but I said I wanted to do the main things like the shrine, Kegon Falls, the bridge. Our driver Javed was quiet but lovely and on a very rainy day provided some umbrellas for those without. He had knowledge of the religions but didn’t accompany us in the shrine but did help us buy tickets. We couldn’t see the lake very well because of the mist but he did find a place to stop which gave us some view and he took us to a waterfall not on the list in case Kegon Falls was covered in mist. It wasn’t so that was a bonus and we appreciated the care he gave. It was a great day out - just needs to be made clearer that this is a driver and you choose the key places and that you won’t have time to fit it all in.

It was a nice tour to amazing places in Nikko. It felt a little rushed though but in general, good. I would recommend it.

We had a great day with Baba! He drove us to NIKKO and we visited several shrines and a temple. We went to a beautiful waterfall and walked to a lake. One of my favorite parts of the day was going to the ghost house. Baba walked with us and told us about the setting and the statues. He was professional and fun.

If you want to see Nikko in one day, starting from Tokyo. This is a great option. You’ll see the main area in Nikko ( Shrine is worth the trip by it self). It was a nice day trip to Nikko The tour guide Nashi pick up at our hotel on time and was great in planning the day to avoid crowd and accomodate our various request.

Shani is very good guide and lot of knowledge. This is my 3rd time visiting Nikko and he is the best I have met. Tour is okay. It always runs out of time to do all you want. Best to stay overnight to cover everything

We had an amazing day touring Nikko! We couldn't have asked for better luck, the weather was perfect, there were hardly any crowds, and traffic was incredibly light, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. A huge thank you to our fantastic driver, Shani, who was friendly, professional, and made the day effortless from start to finish. Traveling in a super comfortable, air-conditioned Toyota van made the journey just as enjoyable as the destinations. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable Nikko tour!

A day trip from Tokyo that is well worth it! Fantastic scenery and history. There is a lot to see and do, so hard to condense it all into one day. The waterfall was spectacular and the shrines and temples deserve their world heritage status. Excellent day with pick up and drop off at our Tokyo hotel - Shani was very hospitable! Recommended!

Our driver was extremely kind, respectful and professional. However, please know that this tour is just for a private driver not a tour guide at the sites. In addition, out of the 10 sites on the itinerary, we were only taken to 3 and it wasn't due to lack of time. You may be better off taking public transportation to Nikko.

It’s an all day trip tour but very good one, lots of special locations to enjoy with your family or friends.

Our driver and ride experience was friendly, positive and pleasant. The weather was overcast/cloudy but not raining, which made the temperatureperfect for walking. The temples and garden landscapes were amazing! Our driver was very knowledgeable and accommodating, as a fog had settled in over the mountains , making visibility of the waterfall and lake impossible. While we were disappointed that we couldn't see these sights, our driver gave us alternative options to fill our day. We were very appreciative.
