The tour was excellent. Our guide is very good and patience. Would definitely recommend

One of Mount Fuji’s celebrated “Five Lakes,” Lake Kawaguchi has a history dating back thousands of years. Once used for agriculture, it has since become one of Japan’s most beloved scenic destinations, admired for its year-round beauty.
Located on the northern shore of Lake Kawaguchi, Oishi Park offers year-round flower displays with Mount Fuji as a dramatic backdrop. A must-visit spot for nature and photography lovers.
Climb the steps to the iconic Chureito Pagoda, a five-story peace memorial offering postcard-perfect views of Mount Fuji. This is one of Japan’s most photographed spots.
Dating back to 705, this park combines spiritual heritage with panoramic beauty. In spring, cherry blossoms frame unforgettable views of the pagoda and Mount Fuji.
Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba is a reconstructed traditional village on the shores of Lake Saiko with views of Mt. Fuji. Featuring historic thatched-roof houses from the Edo period, the village offers insight into rural Japanese life. Visitors can explore preserved homes, browse local craft shops, and enjoy scenic photo opportunities in a peaceful lakeside setting.
Established around 100 CE, this sacred shrine has long been the starting point for Fuji climbers. Its towering torii gate and ancient cedar trees create a deeply spiritual atmosphere.
Honcho Nichome Shotengai, also known as Fuji Michi or Honcho Street, is a charming shopping district in the heart of Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture. This nostalgic street is renowned for its picturesque views of Mount Fuji, making it a popular spot for photographers and travelers seeking a glimpse of traditional Japan.
LAWSON Kawaguchiko Station is a convenience store located just a short walk from Kawaguchiko Station in Fujikawaguchiko, Yamanashi Prefecture. This store gained popularity due to its unique position offering a view of Mount Fuji framed by its storefront, making it a favorite spot for tourists seeking a picturesque photo opportunity.
Formed over 1,000 years ago by Fuji’s lava flows, the Narusawa Ice Cave stays frozen year-round. Recognized as a Natural Monument, it offers a glimpse into Fuji’s volcanic history.
Stroll through the peaceful village of Oshino Hakkai, famous for its eight crystal-clear spring-fed ponds, traditional thatched-roof houses, and water wheels. The views of Mount Fuji here feel timeless.
Owakudani Valley is an active volcanic area formed by the last eruption of Mount Hakone. Visitors can see steaming vents, sulfuric fumes, and rugged landscapes shaped by geothermal activity. The area is famous for its “black eggs,” boiled in natural hot spring waters and believed to bring good luck. On clear days, Mt. Fuji can be seen in the distance.
Hakone Ropeway is a scenic cable car ride offering panoramic views of Hakone’s volcanic landscape. The route passes over Owakudani Valley, where steaming vents and rugged terrain reveal the area’s geothermal activity. On clear days, visitors may also enjoy distant views of Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashi. Ropeway tickets are available for purchase on site.
Shiraito Falls is a scenic waterfall located near the base of Mt. Fuji. Known for its delicate, thread-like streams flowing over a wide rock face, the falls create a curtain-like appearance. Fed by Mt. Fuji’s natural spring water, it is considered one of Japan’s most beautiful waterfalls and offers a peaceful setting surrounded by lush greenery.
Hakone Shrine is a historic Shinto shrine founded in 757 AD, located along the shores of Lake Ashi. Mount Fuji was perfect because our guide told us that this was the perfect day to view the mountain. And for that, the trip was the best. Our guide was very understanding and friendly. I would recommend him to all japan tourists to br their guide.
The tour was great and it was nice to stop at the outlets on the way back. Ali was so nice and helpful. He made sure I was taken care of every step of the way.
Bhalli was a very helpful and friendly driver. He took us to Mount Fuji and other beautiful places, making our trip comfortable and convenient. Everything went smoothly, and we had a wonderful experience. Thank you, Bhalli, for making our trip memorable! 😊
Hamza was a great guide. He was very helpful and flexible with the itinerary, we even had a speed boat trip around the lake … Hamaz took lots of photos to capture the memories 🤩
We booked Option 1 (Mt. Fuji Private Tour) with GoldenHorizon Travel & Tours through Agoda. Our driver, Rizwan, was fantastic! He was exactly on time for pickup, highly professional, and incredibly flexible, even accommodating a last-minute change to our drop-off location. However, the online itinerary listed on Agoda and TripAdvisor is highly unrealistic. It lists eight major stops, but due to time constraints and heavy return traffic to Tokyo, there is only enough time to realistically visit five. We chose a great combination and visited Mt. Fuji 5th Station, Lake Kawaguchi, Oishi Park, Chureito Pagoda, and Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine. We fully understood the limits due to the traffic, but the tour company should update their description to reflect a 5-stop reality so future customers don't have false expectations. Additionally, there is a major communication disconnect between Agoda and the travel agency. The Agoda booking did not provide any detailed information, pickup schedules, or direct contact details for GoldenHorizon Travel & Tours. Even though we selected a customizable tour, I had to independently track down and reach out to GoldenHorizon just to confirm our schedule and choices of places to see. Finally, a major tip for future travelers: the tour company needs to explicitly inform customers to bring plenty of cash. Almost all of the locations and shops we visited around Mt. Fuji only accept CASH, so make sure you come prepared! Overall, the private car experience and Rizwan's service were excellent, but Agoda and the tour company need to sync their communication and present a more realistic itinerary.
We had an amazing day with Hashmi who showed us a lot of places and also accomodated all the locations we wanted to go to - we never felt rushed or that we couldn’t see something. Communication in English was perfect and he was always available to answer questions. Lastly, the pick-up and drop-off at hotel was at the defined time.
Good company and good service. On time and very friendly.
Very knowlagable, respectful and friendly guide (Mr Zulqar). Was flexible in schedule and open to requests of preferred sites/times taken at stops.
It is a good trip, depite the traffic in the tollroad was crowded when we went back to tokyo. We had a great time seeing places surrounding mt Fuji.
All was good, had a great experience!
I had a wonderful day with ahmad thenku só much
Our driver was absolutely amazing Bahlli gets 100/100 he took us off laces we didn’t even know existed! He was patient with us and valued our time and let us know about the travel to every stop! He made it the best experience our entire trip!!
Bhalli was the best he took us to places we didn’t even think of going!! And so understanding speaks great English!!
Bhalli was a great driver for my wife and I! He spoke good English! He took us places we never even heard of! Best experience!!
The tour with Hashimi was very nice. He did guide us very well.
This was one of the best day trips we ever had, the convenience of being picked up and dropped off from your hotel and the flexibility of adjusting the schedule and staying as long or as little as we want in each destination made the trip much more fun. We were able to do 5 major stops/activities in amazing Mount Fuji/Hakone and beautiful destinations around in about 11 hours trip. We had a day trip in Tokyo with Hashmi couple of days before and we asked him to arrange for this tour for us. The Van was modern and spotless, very comfortable. Our guide Hashmi is highly educated intelligent guide and a great driver, he knows all the ins and outs of the area and his tips/advices got us the best experience possible, we felt he genuinely want us to have good time, I will personally recommend him to any of my friends visiting Japan.
For about three hundred dollars we got a pick up from our hotel in a private car and were take to 4 locations with a tour guide we were able to freely look around. He took our picture provided us with umbrellas and store things in the car. We spoke english only and he would help translate to others as well. Overall way more relaxing than if we tried to do it ourselves.
We booked the private Tour. The driver was exzellent and we left a little bit earlier because of the weather. We saw the Fuji from different places and it was amazing. He changed the tour a little bit behause at early lunch there where to many clouds. So we saw also other beautiful places. Ghana you very much. I can recommend that Trip.
Our tour to Mount Fuji was a perfect 10 out of 10. Our guide, Hashmi, was punctual to the minute and met us at the meeting point. He shared many interesting details with us on the way to the Fuji region and was very flexible in accommodating our requests. Thanks for the fantastic day. We would gladly do it again anytime.
We had an amazing trip with Hashimi. He is very knowledgeable about Tokyo and Mt Fuji, and leveraged ways to make the experience smooth for a multigenerational group. Courteous and respectful! Highly recommended
Our driver and guide baba was very punctual amazing guide very knowledgeable we are very happy with our trip for our bad we have not seen Mount Fuji butt we have been many places Lawson kawaguchiko Oishi park Lake kawaguchiko Churito pagoda Oshino hakai Wind cave Ice Cave Saiko iyashi no sato nemba Thank you so much baba for making our trip memorable
Imran was an amazing tour guide who goes above and beyond for his clients. Communication was great and he followed all of our requests. We had no trouble and he insured we had a great experience of mount Fuji and Hakone. Would deafeningly recommend.
Irman was very prompt and patient with us! Mt Fuji was such a great experience!
My tour with Veer was amazing!!! I am a solo female traveller and felt completely safe. He made sure to ask me where I wanted to go and offered to stop anytime if I needed food or to use the facilities. He was personable and we had a great time. I really wanted a tour that went to Shiraito falls and seeing as there aren’t many, I was happy to find this one. Knowing this was my number one spot on the tour, when we got there Veer made sure I got the best shots possible. Even though the schedule I came up with was tight, he made it work! Veer = ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Now, although Veer is five stars, the review is only four because of my experience with the company itself. The posting states that the itinerary will be confirmed after booking, let me tell you that it was not. I booked March 23rd for June 2, by May 2nd I hadn’t heard anything so I reached out inquiring about the itinerary. When there was no response by May 6, I cancelled. It was only then that a representative from the company reached out. She was attentive and explained more about the process - Something that should be on the posting itself - and even let me choose a stop that was not on the list. I was also hoping to get a more detailed itinerary after letting the company know where I wanted to go, such as timing, but did not. This would have assured me that the places I chose were possible and given me a better idea of the flow of the tour. Hotel pick up and drop off was nice. So, although my first impression was not great, Veer and the company manager turned it around and I ended up having a great time in the end. THANK YOU VEER!
We had a great time with Imran. Van was comfortable and sights were beautiful. Very communicative for pickup and itinerary. Thank you!
Mr Roshaan our tour guide has good knowledge of the vicinity... He is well informed about the correct timing to be at and showed us lot more than was included and covered plenty of sight seeing spots in a reasonable good time...
Great experience overall. Our driver was Imran, and he took us to the best spots to see Mount Fuji. Great value if you want convenience and great photo spots.
The communication with the supplier was poor, it wasn’t until 6pm of night before that we had confirmation of hotel pick up. We also had no time to work with supplier to customise the schedule, though they did agree to our request for two of the items on the list. On the day of the tour we were not informed in much detail about how the tour would progress so we had no chance to revise the plan devised by the operator. There driver provided little or no background to the places we visited or in between, simply telling us where our next stop would be. There was no bottled water as advertised and the tour was shorter than advertised.. The tour vehicle was good quality and to provide some balance we did get a great view of Mt.Fuji from the four stops offs and enjoyed our visit to the requested waterfall and traditional village. Overall we feel the quality of product was below the standard we expected for the price and would not recommend the supplier
We had the best experience with Roshan as our guide on our Mt Fuji day trip. We were blessed with perfect weather and saw Mt Fuji from many amazing viewpoints. The highlight was our stop at the Fuji Shibazakura Festival as the flowers were in full bloom. Breathtaking. I would 100% recommend a private tour over a regular bus tour as the cost was only slightly more. We are so happy with our tour and had the best day.
Don’t book a tour with “GoldenHorizon Travel & Tours”. They canceled my tour on the day, without any notice. Before going to Japan, my wife and I booked a one-day private tour to Mount Fuji. On the day of the tour, we were waiting for a driver to pick us up, but the driver never arrived. After a few minutes, we received a message stating that no driver was available and that the tour was canceled. They deleted this message after we tried to call them. When we called “GoldenHorizon Travel & Tours” no one answered. The day before the tour, we received a message confirming it and saying that a driver would pick us up at the hotel. Because of this, we missed our day trip to Mount Fuji. “GoldenHorizon Travel & Tours” cannot be trusted, so never book a tour with them. During my many years of traveling, I have booked various tours and visits, but this was by far my worst experience with this kind of service yet.
We spent a wonderful day in Fuji and Hakone. Of the 16 options offered on the tour, you must choose 5-6. The car is very comfortable and they pick you up at the hotel at the time you select, very punctual. Our guide was wonderful, telling us curious facts about each place we visited and waiting for us for photos. He took us to a restaurant to eat delicious and affordable food. The truth is that choosing this private excursion was a great success! I recommend it 100%.
We had an excellent day and our guide, Hashmi, gave us plenty of useful, cultural information...
Beautiful private tour, lots of information from our guide, best weather with wonderful views of Mount Fuji. We were picked up in the morning by our guide directly at the hotel and he was happy to respond to our individual wishes during the tour. Can only be recommended.
