We had a wonderful experience with Toshie-san and Hiroshi-san. We never made Sushi before and Toshie explained everything we need to try to make our own at home. The session also included a lot of hands on practice, which is important. This is maybe the best cooking class we ever took. Thank you Toshie and Hiroshi!

Hands on instruction learning the basics of sushi construction and a couple of side dishes. The egg side dish cooking was especially helpful. Fun and enjoyable class with very helpful instructor. Delicious sushi and side dishes including miso soup to eat makes it all worthwhile.
This class was fabulous. Toshi and Hirasho were lovely. We thought we were only making sushi and matcha. They actually have you make a full meal including miso soup and a spinach dish. Everything was delicious.
Very good experience! We were lucky it was only me and my partner for that day, so we got to know our instructor abit aswell! Nice people with good knowledge for food and tastes!😃 Good teacher! Recommend!!
Very good course, very well organised and the food was great! We made 5 courses and then also did sake tasting which was interesting as well. I highly recommend!
The teacher is very kind. She taught me how to make authentic sushi and Japanese cuisine. Fish was fresh and high quality. Making sushi to eat by myself was a special experience. 海外の方だけでなく日本人にもぜひ体験してもらいたいです。
This was a tremendous experience. Toshie & Hiroshi are a wonderful team who have an amazing amount of both patience and experience to be able to walk people who have no experience through the intricacies of making Maki, Nigiri, Miso soup, and more. We our children with us as they thoroughly enjoyed the experience as well. Toshie's English is excellent, and she is a wonderful teacher. We honestly cannot thank them both enough for such a great experience and the inspiration to want to make sushi at home!
I would rate this class a 10 if TripAdvisor allowed it. My wife Gwen and I had the best time here. The attention we received was outstanding. The sides we made were tasty. The Japanese omelets we made were fantastic, and the miso soup and sushi were the best. I highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Tokyo.
This is a must do experience for a Japan trip! We had so much fun making sushi! It was a great price and I highly recommend it!
Excellent sushi-making experience. Toshie, the teacher, and her family, are excellent teachers. Toshie’s English is perfect. Great experience for the family.
It was such a personal and amazing experience. Truly one of a kind. It felt like we were invited into a friend’s home and taught how to make traditional Japanese food. The owners are the sweetest people. It was so much fun. If you have a love for Japanese culture and food, please do this!
Toshie and her partner were INCREDIBLE. My wife and I love sushi but have never tried to make it so are total newbies. Over the course of a few hours she explained so much detail behind traditional Japanese cuisine, helped us make Tamago (egg omelette), gomaae (seaweed salad), miso soup, and of course the sushi... both nigiri and maki rolls. We learned so much, they took loads of photos and videos of us in action, and best of all we got a massive feast! I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tokyo, it's a great way to spend an afternoon after a morning at Senso-ji.
I was blown away by how informative and fun this sushi making class was! The class was small with just me and my friend, which allowed us to feel like we had 2 hours with a chef where you can ask whatever questions you want. The instructor (Toshie) did a fantastic job with walking you through each step of the process by first showing you and then having you do it yourself. We made a wonderful side salad with sesame seed paste (made by hand), Tamago, Dashi, Miso Soup, sushi rice, and of course sushi (6 Nigiri, 1 Tomago, 1 flat face, and 6 rolls). Toshie even gave us each a recipe sheet to put in a laminate folder (provided) so we could take it home and continue making sushi. We even got a certificate showing that we completed the class and I'm hanging it on my wall. Hands down one of the best experiences I've had with a cooking class. P.S. If you're concerned about getting there, it's a bout a 10 minute walk from the Honjo-Azumabashi Station on the Asakusa Metro Line (Pink). It's Near the Tokyo Skytree too, so it's an easy option of doing both activities.
Our chef and her husband were very welcoming and professional. She gave us instructions to 4 dishes and it was very thoughough. We were able to write in a notes section provided if we needed clarification. The food was very filling, and I'd recommend not eating anything for the meal which you book this session for because you will need to be hungry. Everything tasted so very good. We obtained our certificate and passed sushi making class. Highly recommended going as a date or with friends.
This was a great class- cooking and art all in one! We chose this class because of the additional side dish preparation and it did not disappoint. The instructors were very knowledgeable and helpful. We received recipes to help us make the dishes at home and got some tips on what to look for if we purchase our own equipment.
Great class with an excellent teacher! You get a good understanding of the basics of suchi but also miso soup and omelett
Great experience. Toshie prepared 4 different recipes and we cooked them together, step by step. She explained everything really well and we learned many new things. We had a wonderful time and the dishes were really good. I recommend this 100% to anyone who is interested in learning how to cook japanese in an authentic way.
Host was great. We learned a lot and ate great food. Amazing experience Thank you so much The host was very knowledgeable. Also very patient with us
This was so much fun and Toshi was wonderful showing us the ins and outs of making sushi the proper way. We highly recommend this to any families or adults wanting an authentic sushi making experience.
Wonderful class. We learned a lot, and it was very approachable and accessible. Fantastic teacher, great time and useful information. 10/10
A friend and family came from France, so I booked to let them enjoy the experience. This course teaches you how to make miso soup, spinach with sesame seeds, soup stock rolled egg and nigiri sushi, and sushi rolls while actually making it. It's more authentic than I thought and I think you can make delicious sushi at home! The sushi was very fresh and delicious, and all my friends were very satisfied. After that, you can enjoy the Asakusa area by taking a walk in Asakusa and shopping at Kappabashi.
The cooking class was very interesting and super explained. We learned a lot and it was all explained very detailed and well.
