This was the best photo shoot i ever done in Japan. The spokes person speak good English and makes us laugh, keep talking while not being rude. The experience went over the history of each armor, putting it on with help and taking multiple photos with poses. For the price it was 100% worth the money.

Incredible experience from start to finish. Takemura’s passion for what he does is immediately obvious, and he puts so much enthusiasm and energy into the entire experience. He guides you through every step of the process, from how to pose and handle the samurai equipment to explaining the history and culture behind the samurai traditions, which made it far more than just a photo shoot. The attention to detail with the armour, swords, and setting was amazing, and the final photos turned out far better than I expected. Takemura creates such a welcoming atmosphere that you quickly feel comfortable and fully immersed in the experience. Easily one of the best experiences I’ve had in Japan — 100/10.

Takemura comes from a line of samurai and has extensive knowledge of the history of the warrior. Fantastic photo shoot. The armor was awesome to see displayed on the wall. Fitter was an awesome hype man and did an awesome job fitting the armor to a bigger fella. The photographer did also an awesome job of taking awesome photos as well.

This was an awesome experience! From the moment we walked in the door Takemura made us feel welcome and at home. We got to learn about the different armor sets and he explained each piece as he helped us put them on. The photoshoot was a lot of fun and Takemuras energy is infectious! This is our fourth trip to Japan and this has now ranked high on one of our favorite activities we have done!

It was an amazing experience. We were greeted at the door by Takemura-san. So much passion and energy. Made my friend and I feel welcomed and at ease. The samurai armor was amazing. Each was a replica of the armor worn by a historical figure. So cool! We were given great instructions on how to pose and facial expressions. Also, the photos were taken by a professional. In the end, I felt and looked like an authentic samurai. So worth it!!!

This was so much fun. They took over 300 photos. I highly recommend this. The workers was awesome and very knowledgeable about samurai armor and samurai in general.

It was an incredibly fun experience. The manager Takemura-san was really helpfull and fun. The photoshoot was really professional and during the shoot Takemura-san was willing to answer questions about the armor itself and able to tell some interesting information about the armor and the props that were in the studio.

Absolutely amazing experience, Takemura-San was incredibly friendly and helpful giving us his generations of family knowledge of samurai. The armors were absolutely beautiful and all the photos were amazing thanks to his incredible attention to detail in orchestrating the poses. My only regret is I only booked it one time!

I will say that I was at first skeptical about booking, because I figured it might be a bit too touristy…. However my fiancé and I had so much fun! I was pleasantly surprised that we were also told about some historical facts about the armor sets and the samurai who wore them. Everyone was very kind at the shop and Takemura-San is very enthusiastic. They also give you every photo that was taken which I appreciated. Did I need to wear samurai armor while in Tokyo, probably not… but I’m so glad I did! Don’t pass this one up!

Great experience. I booked it for my son’s Birthday. Mr. Takemura was great. Very helpful and was extremely detailed when he explained the armors and the history behind them. I want to thank Takemura with his wonderful positive attitude. I also had a wonderful time wearing the Samurai of Sanada. It was my dream to go to Tokyo to wear a Samurai outfit because of the influence in video games, anime and tv series like Shogun, Disney + also Tokyo, Japan was my number one holiday dream and it came true :) If you are a Tourist in Tokyo I fully recommend this place just on the right side of the building were Lawson Convenience store, Shibuya is located.

Booked a slot on the 21-May-2024 at around 11am, and probably is the first group to arrive for the day. We were instantly welcomed by the Manager - Shimpei Takemura and his team. He gave a brief rundown on the background of the Samurai who once donned the familiar armours and allowed us to touch and take photos before the actual fun began. The armour itself weighs about 30 kilograms (66 pounds) and trying to walk really makes you wonder how the warriors of the past can charge at their enemies with ease. All in all, I truly enjoyed my time there and look forward to another visit in the near future.

My husband booked this for both of us, and I will admit I was skeptical, especially because it was not inexpensive. However, I am so glad he did, it was absolutely worth every penny. The experience for the two of us lasted about 90 minutes. It takes time to have all that armor put on properly and they took tons of photos. They provided us with an SD card of approximately 300 photos and he also airdropped them to my iphone while we were there. I was expecting the "nickel-and-diming" that happens in the US for an event like this, but it never occurred. Of all the things we did throughout Japan, this was my husband's hands down favorite. And I admit it was fantastic.

This was such fun! Takemura was marvellous and entertaining too. The experience was fantastic and I had loads of photos in my shoot to take away. Takemura also took a few bonus pictures on my phone so I could send them immediately to my friends. If you're going to Tokyo this is a must, it's such fun.

Super fun experience! I was given great help posing and feeling comfortable in front of a camera. I would 100% recommend anyone to do this. If you're reading this and are on the fence, TRUST ME. It's worth every dollar! Oh, and the photo uploaded was one taken from my phone. The photos taken by the professional are even more amazing!

The samurai armor donning was a fun experience, Seeing yourself getting fully geared up is really fullfilling. Takemura-san is a really engaging in the photo session, helping make me look heroic and epic! Went with Masamune Date's armor because it looks so kakkoii! (Cool!) Would definitely recommend anyone to give it a shot and feel how that armor is donned and how epic it looks. I would update the post with photos, but i need to transfer

This was an amazing experience. Both of the hosts had a ton of energy and were a lot of fun to be around. You get to choose from a number of different armours and I learned some cool facts about the samurai and got a bunch of very cool photos. I would highly recommend this tour!

It was a great experience and it was really fun to slip into the clothes of a samurai. Thanks to the fantastic guide of San Takemura and a lot of information, you can also learn a lot of interesting facts about the history of the samurai.

The armor is very high quality and the photo shoot very professional. A great souvenir for your visit to Japan and a wonderful experience overall.
