Usha speaks very good English and was very accommodating to our need to push our tour back a few hours. We had requested to see the Fish market, the observation deck at the government building, and Shibuyu crossing and we did. She encouraged us to try some new food items at the market. We rode the subway and she was very good about walking us through reading the map. Thanks for a great afternoon.

Meiji Jingu is a shrine which has the most worshippers in Japan and is one of the most popular sightseeing spots. Its vast temple is surrounded by greenery and is the city's oasis which is enjoyable for both locals and tourists. Enjoy the spiritual atmosphere.
Takeshita Street / Omotesando: Takeshita Street and Omotesando are both Japan's leading fashion streets. Takeshita Street, the epicenter of youth culture, is filled with people all year round, with colorful and pop-up shops lined up in tight rows, and Harajuku's cute culture overflowing. Omotesando will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020, and as one of Japan's leading fashion streets, various fashionistas come and go. Come and see for yourself the city and its people that continue to spread trends!
Tsukiji fish market used to prosper between 1935 to 1983 as the largest wholesale fish market in Japan. It closed down in 2018 and moved to Toyosu but the historical land of Tsukiji is still appreciated by the locals. There are still many shops in this old market which are busy with tourists looking forward to eating the delicious seafood.
Tokyo Tower was built in 1958 and is Tokyo's symbol. It has a strong presence amid the crowded buildings, even in a city as large as Tokyo. Although the newer tower, Skytree, is a taller building than Tokyo Tower, people are still attracted to Tokyo Tower's majestic appearance.
Sensoji is Tokyo's oldest temple with the large red lanterns that have become the symbol of Asakusa. The gorgeous red buildings are worth seeing and the temple is a famous sightseeing place where a majority of people visit when they come to Tokyo. On the way to the main temple at Nakamise street, you will find a variety of stores that sell souvenirs found only in Japan. The area is always crowded with people, no matter the season.

The travel guide Mr. Take was very friendly and kind and explained well on locations and landmarks. I highly recommend using this service.
I just had the most amazing private tour with Minako! She went above and beyond to make sure my experience was unforgettable. She planned every activity perfectly, took me to an incredible lunch spot, and was so thoughtful and helpful throughout the entire day—even helping carry my shopping bags! Minako is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about making your experience special. She truly exceeded all my expectations! I can’t wait to visit Japan again, and when I do, Minako will be the only tour guide I request! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing, personalized experience in Japan! ❤️🇯🇵
Nak adapted the whole tour to our taste which was amazing!
Nak was amazing, very interesting, kind and fun! What a fantastic 7-hour tour!
We had a wonderful day exploring Tokyo with Take as our guide. He took us to all the highlights of Tokyo, following the itinerary we had discussed and planned together over the phone beforehand. Take was friendly, knowledgeable, and well organised, and he guided us throughout the day with great care and professionalism. He made sure we had a lovely experience and were able to enjoy the best of Tokyo. We truly appreciated his thoughtful guidance and warm personality. We would highly recommend Take to anyone looking for an enjoyable and memorable sightseeing experience in Tokyo!
Usha was our Otomo guide today. She designed our itinerary which included the Tokyo Sky Tree, Sensoji Temple, and a matcha making experience in Asakusa. She was friendly, knowledgeable and gave her time generously. At the end of our time together she took us to a kitchen tool shopping area and made sure we were on our way back to the hotel safely.
A lovely introduction to Tokyo with Yoriko. We covered a lot of ground in 4 hours and saw the beautiful Meiji shrine and Sensō-Ji, plus fitted in a super fresh sushi lunch at Tsukiji Market, prepared in front of us to order. Topped off with a visit up the Tokyo Tower. Highly recommend especially if you are short of time like we were. We asked lots of questions and learnt loads. If you feel like you have stepped into Blade Runner when you arrive in the city, Yoriko can help orientate you and make you feel at home.
Miki was absolutely incredible on the tour. Extremely knowledgeable about every stop on the tour, providing historic pictures and giving us detailed explanations about each stop and honorary customs for the shrines. Miki helped us on the transit system around japan and got us through with expert skill. My only hope is we get to see him again out and about with another group so we can tell them in person. Arigato gozaimasu Sakiya-san! Ki o tsukete, kudasai.
Taka was well organized and communicated early to set the plan. He asked important details like stroller and ability to walk long distances. On the day, he arrived early and picked us up from the hotel. He quickly made friends with our toddler. During the tour he was very knowledgeable and explained what we were seeing coupled with the Japanese history. He made sure we knew important details like where to see mt Fuji on our way from Tokyo to Kyoto. On the return trip, he made sure we made it on the hotel shuttle. We highly recommend Taka! He was great.
We had a very busy and fun day with Haruki. He was very accommodating, picked us up exactly as planned and communicated very well with us. It was a great tour!
Akira was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable and accommodating. It was a wonderful introduction to Tokyo.
Our tour was great and Tadashi was the nicest person, so kind and helpful. We hadn’t meant to book a private tour, however we are glad we did because our time with him and learning about Japan was absolutely wonderful.
Gosh my guide Kaori was so helpful in moving us around this bustling city of Tokyo. I spent 3 days with her and she went the extra mile to personalize my tour days for my specific off the beaten path requests to visit some places of special interest to me. We hit a lot of the highlights with shrines, museum, parks, shibuya crossing, Godzilla, and more including some specialty shops of locally made indigo dyed and designed clothing and antique stores with many textiles dating back thru the Meji period. I recommend using Kaori as your guide she will definitely put in the extra effort to personalize your tour.
Nak was our guide around Tokyo. He was very professional, had a great knowledge of Tokyo and a very lovely person. Even though shibuya junction was not part of the tour he took us there because I said I’d like to see it!
Nak was a very helpful and knowledgeable guide. We got through a lot and he made the day interesting
Shinobu was exceptional! He went completely above and beyond to ensure that we have the best first experience of Japan! He was very informative and even provided us with how to take the trains and places to eat which was a bonus! He catered to our specific needs and desires that we had in mind and wanted to see and do! He definitely knows his way and will not steer you wrong! He made sure that we knew how to get back to our hotel! He is very highly recommended!
Shinobu was a great guide - excellent English, very knowledgeable and friendly. We didn’t realize how crowded the area would be on a Saturday, so we had to wait in a lot of long lines - but Shinobu did a great job of moving us through the various activities as smoothly and quickly as possible. He has lots of experience with this tour - highly recommend!
Excellent tour guide, taper the tour for our best experience. Had lunch at a wonderful restaurant that we never would’ve known about how he not been there. Would recommend him again.
Thoroughly enjoyed my tour with Nak. He is very knowledgeable and very patient. I greatly appreciated the opportunity to explore Tokyo with such a caring and supportive guide. Thank you Nak!
We took a 5 hour tour using the Tokyo Metro system with Usha our tour guide. We were able to visit some key areas that gave us a good sense of what we can revisit when possible. Lots of walking but Usha was very patient and was there from picking us up at our hotel and dropping us off at our hotel. Highly recommend Usha as a tour guide.
Minako was a wonderful guide. She met us at our hotel and showed us how to navigate the Tokyo subway system. She then took us on a whole day tour of Tokyo combining culture and shopping experience for my teenagers. My husband is interested in watches, she even sent us information on the Seiko Museum after the tour, so we can go in a different day.
This was a great way to jump into exploring Tokyo. We book this 8hr tour for the day we arrived. Haruo was a great guide. He was able to get the new and the old into this trip. My husband and I was very interested in the historical sites and since we were traveling with teens Haruo was able to add fun city things along with some shopping at anime shops, which they loved. He also helped us learn more on the metro system which could be very intimidating. Riding the subway from one place to another help get us more comfortable with the transportation system.
What a fabulous day with Hideaki Murayama. He was such an incredible guide. Very flexible. His knowledge was impressive and his English outstanding. I love the details and the route we took, visiting all of Tokyos highlights. Lunch was super fun and he was so mindful of our gluten allergy. I highly recommend this tour and Hideaki Murayama as a guide. Thank you for a wonderful day!
My fiance booked a tour for our first day in Tokyo and I was skeptical at first but our tour guide Kaz quickly changed my mind. She not only helped us out with the day of the tour but also answered many questions go help us navigate throughout our entire trip such as rules and customs. Kaz was very good at explaining things and helping us understand the culture and reasoning behind things further than any infographic could. If either of us mentioned that we would like something Kaz always remembered and was quick to point it out when the opportunity would arise. Kaz was great and created a great memory for our visit to Tokyo.
We booked this tour to make our first full day in Tokyo exciting and clear. We have never been before and did not know where to even begin! Thankfully, our guide Minako made the day wonderful and cheerful. We had a lovely time and she was so knowledgeable about all the various places we chose. We even learned how to use the subway much better and it helped us feel more confident for the rest of our trip. Thank you so much!
Take what a gentleman and very knowledgeable we had a great day with take .💙
Great tour with Osamu! Very knowledgeable and showed us amazing places in Tokyo. Very nice and attentive. Definitely a positive experience in Tokyo thanks to Osamu
Osamu was amazing! He was extremely welcoming, accommodating, and informative.
We had a great day in Tokyo with our private tour guide, Tetsu. Our tour actually started before our tour when Tetsu (miyakobo) contact us. A few days before, he wanted to know what we had done and seen or what we would like to see in Tokyo. Then he worked really hard to find all the things that we requested and recommended other things that happened in the evening after our tour ended. He brought us this really cool book about Tokyo at night of things we could do. We were staying in Shinjuku, so we didn’t really want to tour much of Shinjuku since we had seen a lot of it. He even recommended things we could do on the other days. He found a flower carpet exhibition that was ending the next day and recommended that we go there. It was amazing. I was getting pretty tired by the end of the tour and he knew the way to every elevator in escalator so I didn’t have to climb any more stairs. He had a really good mastery of the English language, communicate communicated well, and I even understood some of our jokes. Our tour had ended and we asked him where we could go to get a beer. He walked us there, and we invited him to join us. He wasn’t getting paid, but he ordered some fun food and we had a great drink together.
Went with my family to Senso-ji, Harajuku, and Shibuya. Our tour guide, Rumi, was very informative, friendly, and accommodating! Had the best experience touring with her, made many good memories at the landmarks we visited. Would definitely recommend it, especially if it’s your first time in Tokyo!
Rumi was very accomodating to our requests and she has a vibrant personality.. We enjoyed our tour.
Had a great experience with our tour guide Rumi! She gave us a great taste test of Tokyo on our first day in the city. Very detail oriented and organised, she gave me the itinerary before hand and was very open to changing it to suit our preferences. She’s a great photographer to boot! We somehow managed to pack so many popular sites (Asakusa, Harajuku, Meiji, Shibuya, Akihabara) in the short time we had together and Rumi was quick to pivot when train faults happened. Couldn’t recommend enough.
Truly amazing tour of the Yanaka area! Miki-san was a fantastic tour guide who gave really good recommendations for food to try and souvenirs to buy. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and patient and was a fun companion for the afternoon. I enjoyed this tour immensely and would recommend it for everyone!
We had a personalised tour with Noriko Sakurai which was fabulous. Truly personalised, very interesting and not only knowledgeable on the sights but also helpful with tips on exploring Japan. It felt like visiting with a friend, we enjoyed the day very much.
Maki San is an extraordinary guide! Great knowledge of the Japanese culture and the places we visited. It was a pleasure to spend our first tour in Japan with her. We felt completely sure we were receiving the best of the best. Thanks to Maki 🤗
Yoshi was our guide, and he was wonderful. We were a large group with 4 adults and 7 kids. He was patient, friendly and flexible. From helping find great food, adjusting schedule and giving great information. Would highly recommend Yoshi to any other person taking a Tokyo tour.
A truly wonderful experience seeing the cherry blossoms in full bloom. Our guide Ayaka was brilliant, her English was excellent and she went above and beyond to ensure we all enjoyed the tour.
Take gave us a wonderful tour of Tokyo. He was incredibly organized and his communication regarding our plans was fantastic! He customized things just to our liking, and was very knowledgeable about the sites. I highly recommend Take for a tour of Tokyo!
Yoshi Onari our tour guide would be hard to beat. He escorted my wife and me around Yokohama and Tokyo, he went far beyond our itinerary to make the tour the best possible, The restaurant he book for us was delicious and very reasonable. His knowledge about the city was excellent, could not thank him enough. Oz family
Our guide Ayaka was wonderful. The tour itself was somewhat disappointing as we didn't have time to visit the Temple. The park with the Cherry Blossoms was absolutely beautiful though. I feel that you should charge more per person and include some type of transportation so that it is easier to get around to possibly see more sights.
I cannot say enough about how much this tour exceeded my expectations. I came to Tokyo to celebrate my birthday, and although I arrived alone, I was confident that connecting with the right tour agency would completely change my experience. Yuki truly went above and beyond. I cannot speak highly enough about her. She shared so much history about Tokyo and made the experience feel very personal. I never once felt rushed. She frequently paused to make sure I was enjoying my time and comfortable with the pace of the tour. She also introduced me to a Japanese dish that I ended up loving. Yuki was incredibly knowledgeable, very friendly, and made the entire experience memorable. If I return to Tokyo in the future, I would absolutely book this tour again with her without hesitation.
Thank you very much for that amazing tour, Shinobu-san! Hakone is such a marvellous place to visit and this tour was the best way to marvel it! Had a chance to ride the bus, train, cable car and pirate ship. Shinobu-san was such a wealth of information about Hakone history as well. He’s been so kind to fit in Amazake Chaya and even helped guide us to our train to Tokyo by the end of the tour. The tour group was very flexible in allowing us to add people to the existing booking as well.
We had a private tour for today with Haruo Takagi, he was great, informative, knowledgeable and very friendly. We had an amazing time seeing the attractions in tokyo and he made it even more fun. Thank you so much for having us and blessing us with an amazing time! By: Zane, Shatha and Sofian
We had a fantastic day out. Our guide Koji was fabulous and greeted us at our Hotel. We traveled around the city via the trains and metro. We already had our Suica transit cards organised so that made it easy to tap on and off. The whole days travel cost us less than $8 Australian. We were able to plan where we wanted to go with Koji so this was great. This was our first full day on our trip so we very grateful as Koji taught us a lot about the customs of Japan and how to get around.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour around Tokyo with guide Yoshi. He came prepared and had great English. Yoshi had interesting knowledge about historical and modern day Tokyo. Definitely recommend Yoshi.
We had a wonderful day with Usha, who took us to many beautiful sites in Tokyo. We saw a few places we probably wouldn’t have known about. A fun filled day with a delightful guide.
Osamu was a very friendly and engaging tour guide, I highly recommend. Will definitely book with him again on our next visit!
We had a 14 hour layover in Tokyo and decided on a day tour of Tokyo. Our guide Hideaki Murayama-san was exceptional ! Very knowledgeable and patient . He received us from the tour starting point. The tour company Otomo Japan arranged a limousine to pick us up from airport and met Murayama-san at Harajuku station. Murayama-san took us to several destinations during this 7 hour tour! Our family decided to shop for shoes (Onitsuka tiger) and clothing. We took advantage of tax free shopping ! I highly recommend Murayama-san ! Depending on the time, he customized the entire tour , including lunch spot based on our food preferences. Our teenage daughter loved the entire experience! We took Tokyo metro to all destinations , plus Murayama-san took us back on the metro to Terminal3- Haneda Airport.
On arrival in Tokyo, Eriko met us at our hotel. Prior to this, helpful and detailed communication regarding our requirements for the day. Eriko was warm, friendly and just the perfect host for our introduction to Tokyo! Helped us immensely obtaining our JR Pass (and ordering Xmas KFC box) and just great to be shown around the highlights of Tokyo. Totally recommend this tour and Eriko for your trip.
