What a great day spent with my mother! It was a little rainy & chilly, but our guide, Jade, was WONDERFUL! She made sure we got our adventure in! Jade made sure we knew what to expect, but let us lead and decide to go forward despite the weather. It was a great time and an unforgettable experience.

Had a really great experience with Ms Rina. She showed us all great spots sharing in depth details for all locations. Will surely recommend this trip to all.
Absolutely LOVED this trip! Kamakura was delightful (seeing the iconic Buddha is a must) and we found Enoshima the most beautiful island. Our guide, Jade, was FANTASTIC in every way! We are so grateful to her for making this a fun and informative day.
We had a great day exploring Kamakura and Enoshina. A wonderful blend of history, storytelling, and delicious food
Jeff was great and knowledgeable.
I had the pleasure of taking this tour with a very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly tour guide named Karina. She was able to provide historical references to all the attractions, she spoke perfect English and Japanese. The tour itself is long but very entertaining as we visited many cities with various vibes and landscapes. I am beyond happy with the service received, thank you Karina! You are awesome!
Guide was extremely informative and knowledgeable. Learned a lot about Japan and more! Highly recommend.
It was a very good tour. We got to see a lot of different shrines and we got to visit all around Kamakura. Very good tour guide (Jeff) and he explained historical sites well. It was very nice seeing a part of the beautiful Japanese culture.
Great day. Got to visit many nice places. Jeff shared many good insites. Expect a long day and alot of walking, but rewarding. Bring or buy alot of water if in summer.
Good trip. Recommend Karina, she was knowlgable and took us on the trip wigg to it any issues
Great tour with Jade. A lot of walking. Since only two of us were on this tour, I think it made it much easier to plan and hop on and off the trains and buses. Both were very crowded on the day we went. Had a great lunch at a buckwheat soba restaurant. It was nice to see two new places and get out of Tokyo for a day.
We had a very nice day with Karina. She was very informative and made sure that we enjoyed learning and seeing Japanese culture. She made our experience wonderful and memorable.
Jade was a very personable guide knowledgeable about each place and capable of getting around efficiently. She had great recommendations for lunch as well. We were also thankful that it ended up being just my husband and I on the tour. However I would not recommend going to Kamakura on a Saturday as it was VERY crowded.
Karina did a great job. She was efficient, knowledgable but most importantly, extremely enjoyable to spend a day with. We had a great day in Kamakura and Enoshima thanks to Karina.
I went on this day tour with Jeff. It was just him and I on this tour, so it felt more like being shown around by a friend. I had a great experience with him. He was a fount of knowledge about the history and background of all the sites we visited. He also had good recommendations on things to try to enhance the experience and helped with finding places I could eat for lunch (I am vegetarian). Would definitely recommend going on this tour with Snow Monkey Resorts for anyone interested in seeing Kamakura and Enoshima.
Meet up was at 8 am and we were beyond late, but they were so accommodating and responsive. Family of 4 adults, a toddler, and a baby. It was a hectic and chaotic time for us and Taiga, our tour guide, was phenomenal! The tour felt so tailored to us and personalized down to the last detail. He did such an amazing job calming my baby too and putting this stressed mama at ease. He navigated the public transport with all 6 of us in tow like a true boss. Not to mention helping us rent a stroller for our toddler. If I could request all my tours to be led by Taiga, I know it would be a great time. I will definitely lookout for Snow Monkey Resorts Tours again because of him. Like, literally, give this man a raise because we had an absolutely amazing time with him on this tour!
Teahouse in the bamboo forest and the Great Buddha are really spectacular. Good to know the history, the shrines, rituals.
The beginning of the trip was a little rough trying to navigate to the meet up point, but it all worked out that the group waited for us to find our way. Jeff was our tour guide & he was so knowledgeable, very kind & gave a really great tour even with 15 of us following him around the city! He was able to navigate the weather & rearrange the itinerary to allow us to see things at the best time. 10/10 would go on another tour with Jeff!
We had the most incredible day exploring Kamakura and Enoshima, all thanks to our amazing guide, Jeff. From the moment we met, he felt more like a friend than a tour guide—warm, genuine, and so easy to talk to. His knowledge was truly impressive. He brought every temple, street, and hidden corner to life with fascinating stories and insights we would have never discovered on our own. The way he explained the history and culture made everything feel so meaningful and memorable. The entire experience was seamless, relaxed, and perfectly tailored. We never felt rushed, and he made sure we enjoyed every moment—from the peaceful temples of Kamakura to the stunning views of Enoshima Island. This was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. If you’re looking for a guide who is knowledgeable, kind, and truly passionate about what he does, we couldn’t recommend him more highly! 🌸 Christo & Didi (Australia)
really good tour lovely day out - thank you Jeff
Lovely day out with Jeff , our guide. We really enjoyed the views of the temples, shrines and bamboo forest. Also the experience of trying matcha tea!!! We have been with Jeff on two excursions on this holiday and found him informative, supportive and very friendly with all our questions.
Jeff is an amazing tour guide. He matched our walking pace and managed the group really well the whole day. He explained the history of each stop and was friendly. He suggested great spots for photos and lunch options. I’d love to book more tours.
I really enjoyed this day trip. I was the only person on the tour and my guide Jeff was really professional, easy to talk to and made the trip enjoyable. I found using public transport refresing and did not have any issues using it. Trains times aligned perfectly and we managed to get seats on all trains. The trip had a nice balance heritage and culture with Jeff providing a well balanced historic account sites we visited. The day did not feel rushed and had a nice tempo to it. I enjoyed the bamboo forest as it wasn't over crowed and you could exsperience the atmosphere with out other tourists bothering you. I also didnt mind the walking between sites allowed time for conversations to be had regarding what we had seen, going to see. We managed to cover over 20,000 syeps during the trip. There are plenty of restraunts in the town and Jeff had detailed knowlage of the good places to go and left the choice to my self. The views from the island are worth the walk. If I had the opportunity I would do the tour again.
Was great experience all day with Jeff went to the best lunch and he was super flexible with doing order around to see Mount Fuji . Was great time !
This was fantastic and exceeded my expectations. I thought there would be a small group, but it was just me and Jeff. A nice surprising private tour. Lots of walking, so be prepared. I logged over 25k steps.
Jeff was fantastic. He took the time to take us around and explain so much. He did a great job of leaving room for questions. Both about the tour and Japan as a whole. 10 out of 10 recommend!
Jeff was fantastic. I ended up being the only person on the tour and he made the tour fun and informative. He is super knowledgable about Japan and an all around great person to spend the day with! Thanks, Jeff!
Our guide, Geoff, was great! He was super insightful about the shrines and temples. He had great recommendations for both on the tour and around Tokyo.
A great day to see the lesser seen for foreigners. Jeff was knowledgeable, punctual and really informative. Plenty of walking, although plenty of opportunities for beautiful sights sounds and smells to make up for it. Thanks Jeff, A great day!
This is a tour to remember. Jeff showed us the culture, beauty and authenticity of Tokyo and Japan as a whole. With everything planned efficiently and schedules met punctually we finished the day only wanting to do it all again. From shrines and temples, fascinating Goshuin calligraphy, to beautiful views and even better company, it is a tour I won’t forget and highly recommend
This was a really great tour to see a more authentic version of Japan. Our tour guide was really informative and tailored the tour to our needs which was unreal. 100% would recommend this tour
This day trip was one of our favorite things that we did on our three-week trip to Japan. Our guide, Jeff, was wonderful. The day is jam packed with beautiful sites and ends with a breathtaking view from a lighthouse. Would highly recommend this day trip to anyone who wants to do some exploring outside of Tokyo.
This day trip was great! Jeff was an amazing guide and his trainee Tiga was very helpful too. They went above and beyond to make the day enjoyable. Would totally recommend this tour.
We went on a great day-trip tour of Kamakura and Enoshima with our tour guide Jeff, who was informative and fun. Clearly, he loves the area and gave us a vivid narrative about Kamakura's history, making the journey upbeat and interesting. Although it was a long day and we walked a lot, Jeff's pace and enthusiasm made every part of the tour enjoyable. Since it was just the two of us, it felt very personalized: we even got to explore the back side of Enoshima beyond the usual itinerary. Highly recommended.
We had a great time on the tour of Kamakura and Enoshima with our tour guide Jade, who was a great guide to have on our first full day in Japan with her easygoing and patient personality. She led us from Tokyo to Kamakura and then onto Enoshima, and she shared details about the towns and their temples and shrines. The Great Buddha of Kamakura, matcha experience amidst the bamboo, and the view from atop Enoshima Island (along with a surprise view of Mt. Fuji) were standouts from this tour.
Jeff was a great guide and took good care of us thru the day. Enjoyed his company and would highly recommend this tour to others thanks to Jeff! He deserves a round of applause.
I had so much fun with my family. Jeff is a very good tour guide and if I want to do other stuff in Tokyo and around I would like to have him as a tour guide again.
It was an excellent experience from every point of view! Jeff, our Guide, made sure we enjoyed every single moment, taking away the pressure of organising things and giving us time to immerse into the scenery, while he was explaining in a very complete and friendly way everything. The tour’s programme while it felt relaxed , it included all there is to see in the area. From serene temples, drinking matcha next to a bamboo forest, walking by the lake and feeding Koi fishes, to colourful shopping spaces and up to the top of the Sea Candle enjoying views of the Pacific and Mount Fuji., during sunset. A day to remember! Thank you, Jeff!
We went as a couple and just being guided through transportation made it worth it. We got to see a lot and felt it was worth the price. It was a good pace, and our tour guide Jade was so friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time and would recommend the experience. You will definitely be tired by the end!
My wife and I loved this trip with our guide Jade. We were the only guests, so the tour was private and Jade personalized our experience. We saw a lot but never felt rushed, stopping frequently for breaks and refreshment. Jade explained everything and gave great recommendations. Feeding the koi (and pigeons) at the shrine was fun and memorable, and the sunset views from the Sea Candle observatory were spectacular. We brought a book to collect stamps and the calligraphy is a great souvenir and experience. I enjoyed riding the trains with commuters and students, but was very glad to have Jade to guide us through all the connections. Thank you Jade for a memorable day!
My wife and I had an amazing experience on this tour We were very fortunate to have Jeff as our guide who had an encyclopaedic knowledge of the area and historical aspects of the tour Jeff was a wonderful guide who was very patient and provided all the information required He also gave us important tips on restaurants in Tokyo that we could visit. Furthermore because there was significant flooding in the area we were in due to a tornado we had to abandon the afternoon part of the tour before it was completed Jeff organised for us to have a 1 day tour of Tokyo the following day free of charge We were extremely grateful and it says a lot about Jeff and the snow monkeys tour company I very highly recommend Jeff and this company for anyone who would like a very informative friendly guide and interesting tour when they are visiting Japan
Jeff and Aya were absolutely amazing!! Highly recommended! Would definitely do this again! Was very informative and fun
Did a lot of things in one day. Enjoyed a lot. Thanks to Timur for taking care of us. Will surely recommend him to other friends
We had an amazing tour and would highly recommend this day trip outside of Tokyo! Our guide, Naoto, was very knowledgeable, friendly and great with our young kids! The itinerary was thoughtfully planned and we appreciated learning about the history of the sites we had visited and Japanese culture in general.
We really enjoyed our day trip to Kamakura and Enoshima! We probably could have spent the whole day in Kamakura as there is lots to do with shopping, eating and feeding koi fish. This tour requires a long day of walking and standing but is definitely worth it. I appreciate how knowledgeable Jeff is about the different attractions. I highly recommend!
It was a very serene and amazingly beautiful place to walk through unlike the busy and bustling Tokyo. Our guide Inoto and Jade were very informative on the Japanese culture and the historic events surrounding Kamakura. We took plenty of pictures in beautiful settings of the bamboo forest and temples.
Had a wonderful time with Beth and Jeff. They were very knowledgeable, fun and sweet. The sites were breathtaking. Wear comfy shoes—lots of walking but great food along the way. Many cute stores for souvenir shopping.
Beth and Jeff were amazing guides. The sites were beautiful but the conversations and knowledge of Beth and Jeff made for a remarkable day. Remember to bring comfy shoes—lots of walking but great food and snacks to be bought along the way.
This tour was worth every penny! Although a bit more than others it included all admission fees, transportation and extra items such as food to feed the carp, tea and going inside the great buddha. We liked that the guides stayed with us the whole time (except lunch break) and were available to give us historical information and answer our questions. Other tours took you to a site but left you to fend for yourself including paying for your own admission fees. It was a long day but at the end we really felt it was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan! Thank you Beth and Jeff
Beth and Naoto were incredible - great guide who were really well prepared to handle the small group. Went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time, and showed us lots of hidden gems. A must do day trip from Tokyo.
