It was lots of fun and informative, we learned how to make a cool bento box, and it was yummy too.

After repeated back-and-forth communication, we still could not locate the class and ultimately had to abandon the experience. This cost us most of the morning on our final day in Japan. A simple location pin or clear instructions would have prevented the entire situation. We made every reasonable effort to attend, but the provider failed to give us accurate and timely location information.
This was such a fun and educational experience. Everything was incredibly well organized—down to having a ring light ready for photos. They even provided an iPad with clear, step-by-step instructions in English, complete with pictures. There were two instructors: one who primarily spoke Japanese and another from the U.S., and together they guided me through every step. They were kind, funny, and made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. It also felt like a fascinating window into Japanese culture—the care and attention to detail I saw, even when making lunches for little ones. That sense of intention came through in every part of the experience. They had music, refreshments, and I even got to take my bento box home. It turned out not only as a little work of art, but also genuinely delicious. This experience really inspired me to step up my preschool lunchbox game for my son. I left feeling uplifted and joyful—and I can’t wait to try it again at home.
It was a really fun and interesting experience. So much detail goes into making such cute delicious bentos✨🍱
Staff members are so friendly and nice Would love to come back!
Fun and Cute character bento making. Aya-san and Ayano-san were so friendly and thoughtful. The end product was so cute and we got to taste the dishes as we made it. So much fun.
This experience was very fun and cute. The people hosting us where very nice.
We had an amazing experience, learning about japanese food, I really recommend to live this kind of experience if you are in Tokyo. Be ready to be in love with the culture. Thank you Aya San for teaching me.
Me and my boyfriend enjoyed this cooking lesson very much! Learning about local recipes and food culture while cooking is one of our highlight of this first visit to Japan
We had a blast cooking our own character bento with cute animals! Each steps were clear, fun and well structured! you should definitely do this for an unique experience in shinjuku
Absolutely fantastic!! Loved this cooking sesh with the two ayas! They taught me step by step how Japanese bentos are made with care and love! Will come back again with some friends for sure!
Great way to understand Japanese cooking culture! Very clean and open kitchen to experience the making of wonderful bentos!
We were looking for activities we could do with my girlfriend in Tokyo and found this cooking lesson! It was very easy to understand and learning about local ingredients and cooking methods are our highlight of this food trip to Japan!
I had such a fun and memorable time making this cute bento! Instructors were kind and patient, we learned how to shape rice, prepare simple ingredients, and turn them into adorable animal character bento that almost felt too cute to eat!!
Lovely experience with lots of local ingredients and amazing techniques to cook! We learned the bento making with pretty characters!
Such a wonderful experience! The class was extremely well-organized, professional setup, complete tools, and all ingredients pre-portioned. Aya and Ayano were amazing instructors: very kind, attentive, and clear in explaining each step. They walked us through everything, from the rice to creating the cutest sausage horses, ham flowers, karaage, and salad. I took the class with my husband and we had so much fun. It was relaxed, hands-on, and inspiring. I’ll definitely be recreating these bentos for our kids at home. Super well done, five stars!
Fantastic activity to do in Tokyo with great instructors!! We loved making our bento like a japanese, with cute little characters
We joined the kawaii character bento class with my girl friend and were surprised by how much fun it was to make everything as a team! With their bright smiles and energetic teaching style, the instructors kept the atmosphere lively from beginning to end! It became a playful bonding activity for us, and we left with adorable bentos and an even better mood!!
Such a lovely experience making character bentos in Tokyo! The teachers were kind, engaging, and full of smiles the entire time, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere. I’d highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking for a unique Japanese cultural activity.
I joined the character bento-making experience and really enjoyed it! Some parts were a little challenging, but that made it even more fun. I tried using a tamagoyaki pan for the first time and was so happy that my rolled omelet turned out nicely. I also got to shave katsuobushi, which was such a unique experience. Even after some time passed, the obento I made still tasted delicious. Overall, it was a wonderful activity!
I was interested in making Kyara-ben and joined with my friends. So the meeting point has changed? I was a little lost, but when I contacted the management, they politely told me and came to pick me up nearby. The staff was relieved to have a woman. Kyara-ben is made with a certain recipe, and you learn how to make it. Ingredients and preparation are already ready. It was not as difficult as I had expected, and I was able to create it cute! I posted the finished photo on social media, and my friends were very fond of it.
He decided to participate after being recommended to do so on a trip to Tokyo. About five different characters to make? You can choose from, and I chose Pikachu. I'm not good at cooking, but the staff kindly taught me. (All the staff are cute lol) I was able to experience a lot of things I didn't know, and I had a good time while learning how to make decorations like this. If you have never made Kyara-ben before, please join us.
I participated in memories of my trip to Tokyo but it was more fun and very satisfying than I imagined I did. Kyara-ben was my specialty. However, when I actually made it, it was fine e the depths of my husband and Japanese bento culture It's so interesting to know It is! The teachers are kind, and even beginners can learn Easy to teach, so you can rest assured And I was able to participate. It's done. Bento is really cute and looks great on social media Extraordinary and special memories of Tokyo I've become...
I made a cute lunch box. I don't know if I can recreate it the next time I make a lunch, but it was a good experience.
I went with 4 friends of mommy‼️My son is now in high school and makes bento every day, so I thought I could use it as a reference!!️The teacher was very polite and easy to understand!️I learned a lot from the various ideas for cute lunch boxes. It is not possible every day :) I hope I can make a cute lunch box!️
Japan's cute bento is very famous in Europe, and this time I did a Kyaraben challenge with my husband from Austria 🥰 Aya-san and Aya-san were very kind and explained in English, so my husband enjoyed participating in the activity. You can take home your packed lunch, so you can picnic in the nearby park 🧺 I made a pink bear and my husband made a yellow bear lunch box, and each one was unique and interesting 🐻 Thank you for the wonderful experience!
I had an interesting experience, so I joined! I don't think there are many opportunities to be taught lunch boxes. You can't make a cute bento unless you do your own research, so it's worth a visit! I was happy to cook lunches together in the space at the same time while learning a lot of knowledge! ☺️ We exchanged the finished lunch 🍱 It was fun 😍
I was told that I could cook Kyara-ben in Shinjuku, so I went there! I was able to make a cute bento through trial and error while being taught! It was a lot of fun.
I heard that you can have lunch making experience with friends! It was a great experience to see my friend's lunch box!!
I went there with my daughter, who is getting interested in cooking! He taught me in an inexperienced way in an easy-to-understand and careful manner. Because it is a classroom, you can get to know the people you went with. I was so happy because I was able to create my favorite rabbit character. It was a good experience. Thank you very much.
My foreign friend said he was interested in Japanese bento, so I took him! I was very, very satisfied with it. They seemed to enjoy everything fresh, including overseas lunch boxes and ingredients. I myself was able to experience Japanese food culture once again. It is located in Shinjuku, so it was great to see the sights after the experience! I recommend it.
I sometimes cook my own lunch and make it myself, but it was fun to make lunches that I wouldn't usually make because it was all like men's rice!
I make bento every day, but the pattern was the same, so I wanted to try Kyara-ben! I went with my mom friend who also makes lunch every day♡ Not only the characters, but also a piece of ham turned into a flower, a heart-shaped omelet, all of which made for a gorgeous bento! It was so much fun♪
I heard that you can make lunches at a place called Shinjuku, so I went there! It was very fresh because the place is the place. It is so cute and uplifting just to have a face on it, so I will continue making it! It was a good experience for me to teach it gently.
I've always been bad at cooking, but I wanted to try making lunch boxes, so I started with something cute! Even I, a beginner, was able to make a lunch box by teaching me the details 🍱 It was a lot of fun. I'd love to try it at home!
The bonito shaving experience was interesting! I went with my American friend and he was so happy to know about Japanese bento culture!!
