Asakusa: Guided Food Tour With 12 Dishes At Local Eateries

Great food tour getting to taste foods you wouldn’t t know as a tourist. Our guide Rie was awesome! She really seems to enjoy sharing her culture with the guests.

Our tour guide Rie was fantastic. She was incredibly personable and looked after our group of 9 very well. We ate at 3 different places and the food was plentiful and exceptional. The tour was a great start to our stay in Tokyo.

Rie and Ali were very friendly and engaging during our tasting tour, sharing local tips and knowledge about the foods we tried. It was great to try new dishes and visit restaurants popular with locals. Asakusa offers a wonderful culinary experience, made even better by our guides.

What a great way to be introduced to the izakaya’s in the area. Wonderful tasty food. Got to try a lot of foods I’ve never heard of before. The guides Ali and Rei were incredible. So friendly. Was lovely to learn more about the area and chat with the two guides to learn more about their experiences in Tokyo

Rie was a great tour guide! She has lots of knowledge about the area and was wonderful to dine with! She even had information on Asakusa from the Demon Slayer anime which was very cool to learn!

Length and pace of this tour were just right. We tried many dishes and our excellent guide Jun(e) made some adaptations as we went along according to our preferences and tastes. Really good variety of food from snacks to small sit down restaurants. Jun gave us lots of information and advice

Absolutely fantastic food walking tour!!! Our guide Naoto was exceptional and so friendly! Naoto spoke fluent English and was very eager to share local cultural knowledge as well as ask us lots of questions about ourselves and homes. Walking around Asakusa was fascinating, it was all flat and only a short walk between each eating spot. Highly recommend this tour!!!

There was plenty of delicious foods and good comraderie among fellow travelers. Our guide explained the sauces and had interesting commentary as we walked between places.

Yuki was great. Our tour guide Yuki took us to 3 spots exposing us to multiple dishes. He was very engaging and naturally encouraged guests to interact and have good time. He introduced us to few games which was fun. It was a great tour where we had so much fun.

We enjoyed many local dishes and learned some history of Tokyo and Japan. Our guide was engaging and tried to teach us some Japanese too

Our guide, Ríe, was very involved with our comfort the entire tour. She got our drinks ordered and made sure we all had food. She even helped to cook our food in a specialty dish for the region! It was a great experience and we made new friends and memories!

Rie was incredibly sweet and knowledgeable about the food culture of Asusaka and even gave a few recommendations for Osaka! Food was good and it was fun to get to know her and other patrons. 10 out of 10!

A fun and friendly evening food tour with a group of 11 in and around Asakusa. Jun and Ricky were wonderful, friendly, intelligent and informative guides. The best way to try some great food and drinks at 3 different venues that locals love and most tourists miss. Thanks again Jun and Ricky!

Ali was a great guide We consider ourselves to be adventurous in what we eat but there is no way we would have been brave enough to try a Okonomiyaki-ya restaurant on our own. The food was delicious.
