The tour around the Senso-Ji temple and through the fascinating underground areas was really interesting, with everything explained clearly and in great detail. The highlight was definitely the fantastic matcha tea-making experience. It was beautifully presented and we learned so much. Afterwards, we all enjoyed a meal together with our guide, which made the experience even more friendly and personal. A truly memorable experience. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend this tour. My husband and I had amazing time. Asakusa was extremely busy but that is typical of a Sunday. Our guide was really friendly, spoke English very well and he was very knowledgeable. He even brought us a delicious snack from one of the vendors in the market! He explained all the rituals in great detail. The matcha making tour was very interesting; even if matcha is not your flavor, you should try it. Our private lunch was a great way to take a break from the crowds and get to know a little more about Japanese culture. The tour was about 4 hours long which was a perfect length for me. Highly recommend this tour!
Mai was hands down my favorite tour guide of the week! What made her tour so special was the local insight she brought to everything we saw. She explained the traditions and symbolism at the temple in a way that made the experience so much more meaningful. We also sampled delicious Japanese treats & ate at a restaurant I never would have discovered on my own. And the matcha experience? Such a fun, beautiful, and memorable part of the day! Mai has a wonderful way of bringing Japanese culture to life, and I’m so glad I chose her tour.
Hitomi was exceptional! The best tour we’ve had in Japan so far. She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She even gave us recommendations of where/what to eat in Tokyo!
Our amazing tour guide, Ramesh was knowledgeable and fun.. educational walking tour, food was delicious
Had a great time on the tour. Even though I have visited this area previously I still learnt a lot. Matcha making was interesting and tasted better than what I usually have. Kentake was amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable and funny. Highly recommended.
Very educational and entertaining, the tour guide brought us to multiple food places and made it a great experience for each person
Very knowledgeable and kind with my teen son.
The tour was really interesting and our guide too 😉 We can discover Japanese culture through these 3hours together. Domo Arigato gozaimasue Taka san !!!
It was enjoyable and easy tour with Taka! Thank you.
Super friendly and very informative and educational. I really enjoyed the tour and learned lots of Japanese history as well as enjoyed food and snacks along the way. Highly recommend.
Mark was wonderful. He gave us a great history lesson and a lot of insights into modern Japanese culture. Highly recommend.
Ramesh was an excellent guide and translator. Kept us on track despite us getting to him late. Answered our questions on local spots to visit, immigration, shrine symbolism, etc. Accommodated my grandmother’s slow pace and ability. Well paced. Wowed. Loved making a connection.
A wonderful experience to learn about the shrine and its history.
Molly was a wonderful and very knowledgeable tour guide. It ended up just being my partner and I on the tour with Molly and we had a great time walking around Asakusa, learning how to make matcha, and making our own okonomiyaki for lunch. Thank you, Molly, for a wonderful time!
This tour was a good mix of learning some history and traditions, but still getting to do hands on activities so that our kids (age 14 & 11) were not totally bored. We were able to participate in finding our fortunes, making an offering at the temple, and then when the walking and heat were starting to get to us taking a break in a air conditioned matcha shop to make matcha. We got to see some neighborhood side streets and try unique red bean treats too. A great way to learn about Asakura and still keep our family engaged. Magical tour guides take pictures for you so we also got photos of everyone in our group at some key spots which is a nice surprise.
Great and nice tour. Our guide Hitomi was perfect and lovely. She brought us through Asakusa streets with nice story telling and with a lot of enthousiasm. We recommend.
Megumi was incredibly insightful and friendly. My wife and I had an amazing time!
Excellent tour with a knowledgeable guide..A lot of fun making matcha and Okonomiyaki.
Our tour guide was Molly and we had a fantastic time with her. We could enjoy learning from her knowledge, and experience the japanese culture not only by visiting iconic monuments in Asakusa but also experiencing its gastronomy.
Mark was a very happy and humble tour guide. He was vey personable and very accommodating. Would definitely use Mark again.
Mark was a great tour guide, my husband, 2 year old daughter and I had a really enjoyable afternoon.
Mark has been amazing. He took us around, told us all about the culture. We had our 2 years old daughter with us and it went very smoothly. I would definitely go with Mark again
Ramesh was a wonderful guide - so knowledgeable and interesting and took time to explain Japanese culture and customs. 3 hours went by quickly and we certainly enjoyed matcha and the cook your own meal!
Nouri, has been a lovely tour guide, very knowledgeable and pleasant.
Molly was a fantastic guide for our Asakusa Cultural Walk and Matcha Making Tour! She was so sweet, informative, and accommodating. She really made our tour a memorable experience!
Mark was a very good guide for this tour. He told very interesting knowledge about the shrine and the culture in general . He guided us very well through the sometimes crowded spots. We participated in a Matcha Ceremony which was interesting and the people there were so friendly. Mark also was very mindful and kept sure that we see everything and feel comfortable. At the end we ate Okonomiyaki in a very nice lokal restaurant which you would hardly find as a tourist.
Great tour of Asakusa and authentic activities (matcha grinding and okonomiyaki) ! Thanks Hitomi !
Such a dynamic and gentle person ! It was so nice ti do this tour with Hittomi!

Mark is really nice and patient. He takes time to explain tradtional things and history. Really good expérience.
Mark was an excellent guide, adjusting his stories and the timing to our interests. Very kind- good with kids and kid questions. I also liked how hands on the tour was, at the temple, willing matcha and making okonomiyaki. All around well worth the time!
Mark Ogawa was excellent, give me a good tour around and explanations were very clear. He show me also not so touristic places.
Nao is SOOOOOO amazing it was really fun and I learned so much about the matcha culture, Japan and how to make it
We had our final tour of this trip with Nao, and we can highly recommend it to everyone. Nao was a fantastic guide who shared the history of the Senso-Ji Temple, told us about the shopping street, and introduced us to well-known Japanese snacks that we got to try. A real highlight was the matcha experience – truly unique! And the best part came at the end: making our own okonomiyaki, which was an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Nao, for your time and all your insights – it was truly wonderful!
Tossy was a wonderful guide! She was very knowledgable and had great, positive energy. Our family very much enjoyed our time with her.

Highly recommended AAA +++. Nori was a great guide who went out of his way to accommodate my 16 year son, 18 year dauhhter and I. Easy to relate to great explanations and an enjoyable tour.
Aoi was amazing tour guide for our Asakusa cultural walk. She was kind, informative and generous throughout and even took great pics for us along the way. We highly recommended this company for your tour in Tokyo and ask for Aoi!
Very busy time, would have liked more history of the area and how it developed from 17th and 18th century. Great matcha hands on experience, easy tour and very nice Tour Guides.
Tour was great. Very casual atmosphere and knowledgeable tour guide. Gave just enough information to help enhance the experience and left ample room for questions and just general banter. Went as a solo traveler but felt like a group of long time friends by the end.
Hana was a lot of fun and enthusiastic and we had a lot of great conversation about Japan and Japanese culture. We enjoyed tasting the foods as well. The tour itself could’ve used less time pointing out all the little stores for treats and souvenirs and more time.on cultural sites.
Hitomi our tour guide was absolutely amazing, so friendly, perfect English and gave us so many good recommendations. We were the only ones on the tour so it was particularly good. We loved walking the streets and learning lots from Hitomi. The lunch experience was very unique and fun (also so delicious!) If we come back to Tokyo we will definitely want to have Hitomi take us on another tour!
Hitomi was lovely and very informative. Had a great tour of Asakusa and learned a lot of the history. Fully enjoyed our time with her! Would recommend taking a tour with her, she also has a great laugh!
