Mitsui Garden Hotel Shiodome Italia-gai

This hotel was amazing for a few reasons. 1) The staff. They were always ready to answer questions and they were so friendly doing it. After check out I had forgotten a pair of sunnies in the lobby and went back and they had them for me in a bag. I felt cared for by everyone. The cleaning crew were always so kind and were attentive to our room. 2) The room. The room was clean and a good size for Japan. It was 2 of us in a room and we each had 2-4 luggage’s. We had enough room to lay out unpack and pack. 3) Amenities. The lobby had great little amenities we can take to our rooms and the water in our rooms were free! It was great to know that anything we needed we could ask for and it would be provided with reason. 4) Laundry. There are different locations to do laundry and I was so hesitant to do it at the hotel but I’m so glad we did it! No detergent needed and the washer dryer were the same machine. I felt safe to go alone. 5) Additional. The in room massage was amazing!!! If you’re there DO IT! The lady was sooooo kind and I felt so relaxed in my own room. Overall we had a fantastic stay! We would recommend others to stay here as well.

Great hotel! The staff are friendly, accommodating, and very personable. The rooms are decently sized and the location is lovely, close to a 7/11, laundromat, and a short walk to the train station. The area is beautiful and less hectic than some busier places. We will absolutely be staying here again, thank you to the staff who made us feel so welcome and genuinely cared.

I loved this hotel, the location was kind of the middle of nowhere but it had so many little touches that I just loved. No single use crap in the rooms, if you want that you can get only what you need in the lobby. Tv was so easy to use and connect to my YouTube. Bed was comfy, bathroom was quite spacious, and shower super hot and strong. Also the body wash actually foamed up and felt like it was getting me clean, I have never experienced any body wash do this.... it was quite amazung. I also tried the communal bath which I just loved. It also had a lovely clothes freshing spray in the wardrobe which was nice. It had clear waste segregation, 2 bins clearly makes in the room. It had an overall cute boutique hotel feel and I really like it.

We stayed at this hotel for 10 days. Overall, we had a good stay, but there were a few things that could be improved. Unfortunately, the staff at the reception were not particularly friendly or welcoming. The breakfast was the same every day and seemed to be mainly geared toward Asian guests. We would have appreciated more Western options, such as fresh bread rolls, croissants, and a greater variety overall. One thing we found a bit annoying was that every morning a staff member came to the tables shortly before breakfast ended to remind everyone that breakfast service was almost over and, most importantly, that guests had to clear their own trays. The room itself was spacious, but there was very little closet space, so we had to live out of our suitcases for most of our stay. The towels were changed every day, and the bed linen was replaced every three days. However, the bathroom was never cleaned during our stay. I’m not sure if the housekeeping staff are not allowed to clean it when personal toiletries are left on the counter. 🤷🏻‍♀️ On the positive side, the hotel is in a great location. There is a 24-hour 7-Eleven just around the corner, and several subway stations are only a few minutes’ walk away. Overall, we had a good stay with a few minor drawbacks.
