Starting out, we were looking forward to the stay in the hotel, we kept an eye on it during our first time in Japan. Sadly disappointed by it, maybe too high of expectations. Rooms were top notch, for tall people perfect, the over all size and layout too was good. Location was okey, nothing immediately close but quiet and gets busy during peak hours during day due to offices nearby. The main minus was the feeling of gatekeeping, having to be a member of international club for lounge and other areas for access. Overall felt pricey for what was received.

This hotel is right on the water front with views to the Rainbow Bridge. We stayed in a Club Room and the experience was well worth the additional cost. The food selection was excellent and the drink selection was as expected. The service throughout the hotel is top notch and the location allows easy walking or train access to explore greater Tokyo. I would definitely stay here again. The staff in the club lounge should be commended and possibly sent to the Yokohama Grand to train the staff there as we had the best service here and the worst service there. Also definitely stop at the Hudson Lounge for a cocktail Kawamoto will wow you.
We were very excited for this stay at Intercontinental Tokyo Bay and the least we can say is that we were not disappointed. The hotel itself is huge - many floors, many rooms, many people and many restaurants. It has a lot of assets and few drawbacks. In terms of assets : - the room was really nice. We stayed in a standard room with the Bay view, the additional spend for the view is 100% worth it as it very spectaculaire by day and night. - The room size is huge, especially for Tokyo which was very pleasant when it came to deploying all our luggages. - The breakfast quality (Lively Kitchen - 3rd floor) was on point even if the service varied from day to day. - The location of the hotel is very practical to visit Tokyo, even for the 1st time. You can definitely walk to Ginza, Tsukiji, Roppongi and the two subway stations (Takeshiba connecting to Ginza and Hamamatsucho connecting to the JR Line) make the rest of the destinations quickly accessible (especially when combined with the hotel shuttle). Drawbacks: - Many clients in the hotel - we even had to wait 15 minutes to be installed for breakfast one day. - No personal touch/ no special word when arriving to celebrate an occasion (despite less luxurious hotel having provided it in Japan !). - The cleaning of the bathroom in the room can be marginally improved. All in all, the assets really overcome the few drawbacks identified and I believe the rate of this hotel provides a good value for money considering its room quality (International 5* + hotel), its location and the services provided.
Hotel is next to the metro station and is pretty convenient to get around. It offers a panoramic view of the Rainbow Bridge and is generally close to Tokyo Tower. The service is overall pretty good. Staff will greet you ever time you pass by the reception. Saying the view is good is an understatement because the view itself already makes the stay worth it. You can enjoy the scenery from day to night while you are settling in your bed. All in all, the hotel is pretty convenient and offers a spacious room for travellers with top-tier service.
An absolutely unforgettable experience! Without a doubt, the best 5-star hotel we have ever stayed at. Everything was impeccable, from the service to the comfort of the facilities. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. The beds felt like they were hugging us, they were incredibly comfortable and provided the perfect night’s sleep after long days of sightseeing. The elegant yet welcoming atmosphere made our stay even more special. We leave with wonderful memories and deep gratitude for such an amazing experience. We truly hope to return one day. Thank you very much!
