Avoid — quality has collapsed since opening If you’re still on the fence, let me save you the trouble: look elsewhere. Having stayed here when it first opened, when everything was flawless, I was stunned to see how far the standard has fallen in such a short time. This 2-night stay was one problem after another. What we dealt with: • Only 2 towels provided for 3 people, and among those given: one stained, one torn (photos available) — a level of hygiene unworthy of the establishment • Bathrobes refused by staff, as if asking for a basic room amenity was a privilege to be negotiated • Mini-fridge out of service for the entire stay • TV stuck in another era: no streaming access whatsoever, just a handful of local channels • 7th floor bar closed with no notice, information withheld until we arrived • Only 2 elevators for the whole hotel (one of which is reserved for Shabbat use), meaning endless waits at every floor • The worst part came last: at checkout, when we bluntly said the stay was “not great at all,” total silence from staff — not the slightest curiosity or apology This is a hotel visibly coasting on its past reputation, with no effort left to actually earn it. If service quality, maintained facilities, and basic consideration for guests matter to you, look elsewhere. You deserve better for your money.

The hotel has very modern rooms, a great view rooftop or from the room, nice infinite pool and great service.
Sofia hotel I had an excellent experience at this hotel. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff went above and beyond — friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The location couldn’t be better — close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. Breakfast was fresh with plenty of choices, and housekeeping was consistent throughout my stay. The overall atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it perfect for both business and leisure travel. I’ll definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We had a family vacation of 3 rooms, I never heard about this hotel before and I was amazed how beautiful it was. Most of the hotels in this area are overpriced and old, crowded and poor food and no view. The view was incredible, the rooftop and infinity pool view was beautiful (although the safety wall needs cleaning), the hotel is new and clean, free parking (very rare) and very nice staff. High plus - there’s a water cooler near the pool and available water in the lobby. The meals were great, we had everything we needed, tasty and veritable, at dinner we enjoyed also stakes that the chef was considerate enough to do it in the size we asked (also rare in hotels). It was calm, not crowded even though it’s high season, and we had available seats on the pool, I don’t remember the last time it happened in Israel. **The downside - was the shower, it was accessible room and the shower was compatible to a wheelchair and had a seat and curtain, instead of glass and it was very uncomfortable, the whole bathroom was wet and we weren’t notified about it, we came for one night so we let it slide, but it was disappointing. **Location - it’s not close to the promenade, not that there’s anything to do there, restaurants are a few minutes walk. Maintenance - the pool towels or the pool area is lacking, in the afternoon it’s hard to find towels, all the seats are empty but old towels on, it’s hard to know if it’s not taken. would recommend that the staff will do a swipe around checkouts to clear available seats. For our family it was perfect for relaxing and we didn’t need anything else.
We had a great stay at the Sofia Hotel in Tiberias! Our room (608) was modern, super clean, and had what might be the sleekest shower of any hotel I’ve been at, the modern lights are really cool. The view from the room was beautiful. Thank you Aliza! The infinity pool was stunning. It would’ve been nice to have more shade by the pool, and on the gorgeous rooftop. The food was excellent —both breakfast and dinner were fresh and tasty. We also had a massage at the spa, which was really good, although the relaxation area could be improved. It was a little hard to chill out before and after the massage because the receptionist is seated nearby and even used the loudspeaker sometimes. All in all, a great experience. Would happily come back!
