As you trek along the Agia Kori Waterfall trail, you’ll be mesmerized by the lush surroundings and the stunning emerald waters of the waterfall, offering the perfect chance to relax and take a refreshing swim in nature’s embrace. Surrounded by the rugged beauty of the mountain, you'll also hear fascinating tales of the mysterious phenomena reported by visitors throughout the centuries and delve into the origins of the Olympian gods.
Next, travel back in time to the ancient city of Dion, a significant religious hub devoted to Zeus, the mighty father of the gods. Stroll through the ancient ruins of grand temples, theaters, and public buildings, uncovering the glory of this sacred city once cherished by both Greeks and Romans.
To deepen your connection with the land, visit the Olympus National Park Information Center. With its interactive exhibits, you’ll gain an insightful understanding of the park’s biodiversity and cultural significance, enriching your experience.
Continue your journey with a visit to the picturesque village of Litochoro, nestled at the foothills of Mount Olympus. This was a really good day trip from Thessaloniki, with a few varied stops. Unfortunately it was very rainy on the day we went but it was still very enjoyable. The guide was great with lots of good information about the spots we visited and we had plenty of time to explore each place. The first stop did involve a short walk which was described as very easy, but a few older/less mobile members of our group were not able to complete it and had to turn back. Worth bearing in mind if you struggle with climbing stairs or walking uphill.
Very relaxed- slow pace- great food at last stop- guide was friendly - exactly as advertised- there are bathroom stops
This was a great experience. It was a perfect mix of adventure, historical education and relaxation. Cici was a great tour director!
I highly recommend this day trip. Dion’s Archaeological Park was fantastic and very visitor-friendly as you are permitted to roam almost anywhere. Plus, it sits under Mount Olympus so the views are out of this world. Agia Kora trek is fun and a snapshot into the wider national park. Litohoro was a lovely place to visit and gaze up at the spectacular gorge / mountains. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience. As a tour group of 30 people there were various levels of abilities and interests to cater for. Eleni, our tour guide, was awesome and very aware of her role to all tour members. It was easy to trek at our own pace (faster) and do your own thing at Dion and Litohoro. Our amended itinerary included the Dion Stores Gallery to see the famous Mosaic.
Nice tour. The "hiking" portion is pretty short, though it has a lot of steps up and down (only an issue if you have very poor fitness or mobility issues). The "lunch" activity was pretty late in the day so we ate lunch in Dion in the park and hiked a bit of the gorge while every one had lunch. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly
We had a delightful time with Evaggelia! She was fun, helpful, and knowledgeable. Even though it was raining, we still had a great time because of her professionalism and hard work. Thank you so much!
A full on trip that packed a lot into the time available. About 30 on the trip in a comfy air conditioned full size coach so plenty of room . Everything was well organised and led by Elen from Ammon Express . I would have liked another 30 minutes at Dion , which felt somewhat rushed to see everything at this site . It was also a shame Dion's archaeological museum was missed on the itinerary, this would have been a preferred stop to complete the tour of this area.
Very well done trip. Sisi , our tour guide was very knowledgeable. We had an opportunity to learn some Greek history in general and things relate to the Thessaloniki region. The trip plan was very interesting and intense. Nevertheless we managed it very well. Due to some delays we didn’t have enough time to explore Litochoro village, yet we had a good lunch at restaurant recommend by Sisi. Some people jumped in to cold small waterfall - they were fresh to continue our trip. More explicit info what not to see in Dion would be helpful. We recommend it.
Excellent guide, Eleni, who made every effort to help, answer questions, and provide suggestions on things to do during free time and after the trip. A perfectly planned day
It’s a great trip. The walk was quite challenging for 70+ people but we had the option to just do the first bit. Guide very supportive with this. Distance was fine just the steep steps that were tough. Very varied and enjoyable trip though in spite of this. Beautiful and inspiring mountain. Very good guide.
The tour could take half a time. Too many stops. We had a long drive both ways, and I was hoping to hear some interesting facts about history of Greece, its nature and culture beyond the common knowledge, but all the guide provided was some information about local rivers. Mt. Olympus was impressive, and it was the only point worth to visit. The path to the waterfall was boring, a lot of steps many of which are simply dangerous due to covering sand and metal sticks. I would'n go to this tour for the second time.
Really good tour! Very informative and interesting locations. The hike does have some somewhat treacherous rocky steps, so wear good shoes and be of decent mobility. Good amount of time to swim in the little lake.
Very interesting and neat trip. Hike was a bit rough but manageable. Bring swim suit firca quick dip, but be careful cause rocks are slippery at the lagoon.
The mountains are lush green. We had plenty of time at each stop.
This was an excellent and well balanced trip. It was a nice mix of historical and geographical highlights. The guide, Sisi, was excellent. She showed real enthusiasm and was able to provide information without overdoing it. Her English was excellent and she added great value to the trip.
We had a wonderful visit to Mt Olympus and the surrounding areas of Dion and Litochoro. The hike to the waterfall and the cave was great to get up close and personal to the magic and mystique of the mountain -- it's easy to see why Zeus and the Olympians selected this mountain as their abode! Special thanks to Eva for being an incredible guide, providing insightful and humorous anecdotes about the local legends -- she truly exemplifies the hospitality for which the Greeks are known!
My trip to Mount Olympus was truly one of the most memorable travel experiences I've ever had. As the legendary home of the Greek gods, Olympus offers a unique blend of natural beauty, adventure, and history. A special mention goes to Eva, our guide, whose knowledge, enthusiasm, and professionalism made the journey even more enjoyable. She shared fascinating information about the mountain's history, mythology, flora, and fauna, helping us appreciate Mount Olympus on a much deeper level. Her guidance and encouragement throughout the trip made us feel safe and confident every step of the way. I would also like to thank Lazarus, our driver, who was friendly, punctual, and ensured smooth and comfortable transportation throughout the trip. His excellent driving and warm personality contributed greatly to the overall positive experience. Overall, I would highly recommend a trip to Mount Olympus to anyone who enjoys nature, or Greek history. It offers an incredible adventure, unforgettable views, and a chance to experience one of the most iconic mountains in the world. I would gladly return and explore more of its trails in the future.
Great experience and worth it! Our guide Eva was wonderful and very friendly. Smooth journey and enjoyed all the stops. Highly recommend!
Great trip to get out of the city and see the beautiful countryside. We were met by Giorgios at the square and taken in a lovely air conditioned minibus for about an hour and a bit to Mount Olympus. All the while he was providing information about where we were going and the myths/ legends behind it. A small hike took us to a waterfall where the water was so clear and apparently freezing (I wasn’t brave enough to go in!). We then went to Dion which is an amazing archaeological site and inexpensive at €10 to get in. A short ride after in the bus to Litochoro, where those who wanted to could walk to Enipea canyon with Giorgios. Absolutely stunning views and well worth the short walk in. A relaxed lunch in the town and then the ride back. Fabulous day and would highly recommend it.
Don’t waste your money on this. Mount Olympus was the only interesting bit of this trip and even that felt like a waste of time for a mediocre waterfall, and it made no sense to do the swimming at the beginning of the tour. They you hike a little along to see some sad, put together shrine of a lady who lived on the mountain, highly disappointing. Dion is definitely a scam, where you are paying a €10 entry fee to walk up and down and see nothing! Google it first and look at the pictures of it, trust me (I should have). And don’t get me started on this, the Olympus National Park Information Centre - Talk about lack of things to see, another scam. All in all, I would really like a refund and my waste of a day back, that could have been used for something else.
Was a great tour. Really enjoyed hiking in mt. Olympus and swimming in the waterfall. It was very interesting seeing the ancient town of Dion as well. The tour guide (Evangelia) was very knowledgeable and kind. Would recommend!
This was a wonderful trip that I would highly recommend. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable, always open to answering questions or giving recommendations. It was a good mix of bus time with some hiking/walking so you didn't feel like you wasted your day sitting on a bus but you also weren't too worn out from the hiking. Mount Olympus was beautiful and we were able to take a quick swim, though the water is very cold. My friend and I chose to save 10 euros and not enter the Dion Archeological Site (as we travel a lot and have seen plenty of ruins that start to all look the same) but we only had an hour there so it was a good spot to rest and eat the lunch we packed. Overall, good value for money.
Our group was comparably small, so the initial hike was very enjoyable. Unfortunately, we got a bit unlucky with the weather at Dion and litochoro. Nevertheless the views of Mount Olympus were stunning, And the tour was a lot of fun. Yannis was a great guide. He shared with us a lot of knowledge and his personal experiences about Mount Olympos and the region. The tour lasted from 8am to 5.30 pm.
Not to be missed! Like being in Paradise at the stunning National Park and Mount Olympus waterfall. Great pick up and drop off point.
Excellent in all respects knowledgeable and very helpful guide George.
Good trip . Recommended ! The guide so kind and helpful
Our guide was excellent!!! The day trip to explore the Mount Olympus area was well worth it! The hike was fun and the views of the waterfalls beautiful. Dion and the Mount Olympus museum were impressive. Our guide was well informed and knowledgeable.
This is a part of Greece my wife and I have always wanted to see and we were not disappointed. What helped make this trip so special was the guide, Eva, who besides being very knowledgeable, also has one of the most pleasant voices on the planet. She obviously loves being a guide and meeting/dealing with a bus load of strangers. She makes everyone feel special.
It was a very well organized trip. The guide was Eva. She has excellent knowledge of history, explains everything clearly, and gave us a lot of useful touristy tips . We hiked twice and visited upon amazing scenery on Mt. Olympus. We also visited Dion.
This is a great tour to get a flavour of all aspects the Mt. Olympus National Park region in one day. Our tour was lead by Eve who was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly; we were well looked after throughout the trip. The bus pick-up was close to several hotels near to Aristoelous Square, and Eve explained the history and culture of the area as we drove between the sites. The itinerary was well described on the booking site, and notes the additional fees for the museum, as well as giving clear advice on what to bring, etc. The scenery was breathtaking and the history and culture equally fascinating. My only wish is to have had longer to appreciate each stop - each of the four places would be well worth a day trip individually. So this tour is a good way to scout locations for future visits, or to take in the highlights if you gave limited time. Swimming at Agia Kora was very special - but be warned the water can be very cold! Overall, I certainly recommend this tour.
Excellent organized, high profesional guide as well as skilled bus driver. Thank you so much to the company for a such a great experience
If you have vertigo or fear of heights this trip is not for you. We didn’t see the falls in either location.
Eva is very knowledgable and helpful! I like how Eva provides different options, making the trip suitable for everyone.
Very disappointing experience with this company. We arrived at the designated meeting point at 7:45 AM, well before the scheduled 8:00 departure, and waited, but no bus or staff ever came. We were a group of six people who were all left behind. After contacting the company, they claimed that a staff member had been looking for us, which is simply not true. No one approached us or made any effort to locate our group. I also have photo evidence confirming we were there on time. When we tried to contact customer service through WhatsApp, phone calls, and email, it took far too long for them to respond and address the situation appropriately, especially given that this was time sensitive. To make matters worse, they offered us a replacement tour that is significantly cheaper than the one we originally paid for, rather than providing an equivalent experience or proper refund. This caused major disruption to our trip, especially since this was my last full day before flying out. Overall, this reflects very poor organization, communication, and customer service. I would not recommend booking with this company.
This was a lot of fun. It was a bit rainy but we were able to do all the exploring. Our tour guide Eleni was sweet and knowledgeable, answered everyone's questions.
Excellent tour leader - she gave really good information. A superb day trip, though the sunshine did help.
The trip was a brief view of the mountain, like visit ancient site and hiking on mountain bottom. Does Not involve climb very high mountain
It was a delightful Experience all The way around. Eva Was so nice, knowledgeable and Accommodating. My daughter and I had a wonderful Experience. It was a large group but Eva managed to make it feel like a personal tour. She’s a gem !!!
Possibly the most boring and stretched out tour of very little I’ve been on. The guide was late, didn’t offer us any free water we knew was available, never provided the wifi password. Was late every time we had a stop despite him being the one to set the times and was generally a sub par guide (or attendant). The tour itself could easily be around 7/8 hours but for some reason it’s stretched to 10. I wouldn’t recommend wasting a day. Dion is rather disappointing for a set of ruins and the hike (should be 1.5 hours) lasted around 15 mins of actual walk g, Mount Olympus visitors centre was ok and had toilets.
The hike through Mount Olympus National Park was stunning and gorgeous. The guide we had was very knowledgeable, and the bus was super comfy. Since we went during the low season, the bus was not overcrowded, nor was the park. This activity is best done on a dry day, like we had, as rain would make the hike quite slippery. Though the tour took most of the day (around 10 hours), the trip was worth it.
First a walk to the small waterfall and lake, then a visit to the neglected archaeological site Dion (parts were standing under water, paths were blocked off). But with Mount Olympus in the background. Optional, a visit to the museum of Dion, rather small and the annex with the large mosaic is often closed, and was on this occasion. Free admission to the Olympic mountain visitor centre with lots of good photos and stories. Lunch in Litchoro before driving back. Most places were basically empty in early March.
In morning the meeting point have lots of people, but well organised everything,, easy found the correct guide. We go to first with small van to agia kori where the waterfall and small church is very amazing middle of the forest. After we go to dion archeological site, free time and € 10 the ticket, but honestly nothing extra, not have to much ruins left. After we go to the information center from the olympos mountain. Have many pictures and descriptions from the history, but this also not to active program. After we go to Litochoro town where have a lunch, I not go, I choice to free time and go to entrace of the national park and see the edge of olympos why I come. If I have more time I go more up to the mountain. After all we go back to meeting point to Thessaloniki, I'm really surprise how fast end of the trip. First of all good trip see the mountain and easy walk in the forest, but someone want really active daytrip choice other.

Very nice day tour in small group with Yannis! Really grateful for his kindness, help and knowledge !!
I participated in a Day Trip to Dion and Mount Olympus Park, guided by Giorgos from GetYourGuide. His extensive knowledge of the natural environment of Olympus Park and the historical significance of Dion exceeded my expectations. THANK YOU, Giorgos. Jason D. Cole
Mount Olympus is the highest in Greece with historical and national significance from antiquity to modern times And the small town at the foothill is worth visiting.
George was a fabulous guide, extremely knowledgeable, fun and friendly. He went over and beyond to help us on the mountain walk.
We enjoyed this trip. The hike was a little difficult for one of our group, but it was beautiful on the mountain. Dion was very interesting. Yannis was a great guide, very knowledgeable.
An nice daytrip with a lovely guide. Dion was especially interesting and Mt Olympus is magnificent - lots of gods in its slobes...;-). The guide might though have been more informative and sometimes I was struggling understanding her english.
