What an absolute delight this tour was. Christos our guide is so personable and authentic we quickly gelled as a group and had a fantastic experience. The tour is well organised with a relaxed pace taking you around multiple stops with generous tastings at each, including matching wine and spirits to suit the bite. Bits of local and national history wove the food experiences together, and local recommendations of places to go were really helpful. As a group everybody was chatting and having a such good time that we all were a little bit reluctant to leave at the end. As we wandered back to our accommodation after the tour we both commented that it was a great way to end our stay in Thessaloniki, and what a really good tour and brilliant value it was. Lovely guide(s), good company, great food, well organised. What more could we have asked for? Best of luck with your career Christos, we wish you every success.

Of course the well know Ouzo could not be missing from this tour. On our next stop we will visit one of the best preserved "kafeneios" (cafe) in town and sip some ouzo the traditional way. Nearby we 'll get the chance to taste the most famous dessert of the city ''Trigono Panormatos'' a triangle shaped baklava pastry filled with delicious cream! Walk to this stop 10 minutes.
In the opossite side of one of the oldest Byzantine churches of the city you will find our last stop hidden. Thessaloniki was the first port on our trip and the time we spent with Denae was just perfect. There were just six people on our tour and we had nothing but good fun, good food, city tour and all. A great time for sure with our time and money extremely well spent.
The Tour with Danae was really great. We started with some local breakfast and ended with greek coffee at a lovely place. It was a fantastic experience and we got a lot of suggestions what to try out in the next days. Would always recommend it to get to know the culture and the local specialties.
Great Tour with a lovely Guide. Enjoyed all the stops. Would book a Tour again.
Had a great time eating a variety of local foods and learning about Thessaloniki with our guide George, even had time to pick up some olive oil while we were in the market.
Wow! What can we say?! Danae was a gem and she took us to some very awesome spots! We did two other tours and this was, hands down, the best one! Highly recommend!
Lovely local food tour with Maria who was really knowledgeable, clearly passionate about the city and had a great rapport with all the owners. The food was fabulous, couldn’t manage to eat it all and had the option of taking some of it away! The tour was lovely and relaxed and Maria highlighted important aspects of the city as we passed them. It was a great way to see the city on foot, eat what the locals enjoy and chat with the owners and staff of the venues. The visit to the olive oil store- Chrisopigi, was really interesting. The owner was lovely and gave lots of interesting information regarding the olives they grow in Crete. We would highly recommend the tour to anyone.
We loved our tour! Our guide was very friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. He took us through several parts of the city to out of the way places with excellent food. Highly reccommended.
An excellent tour. Perfect introduction to the local cuisine and the history of the region and its people. The guide, Maria, was very friendly and she had a very good understanding of the food and its context. Since I was the only guest on this tour we had time to have interesting discussions over a variety of topics. The food was delicious, not another word of it. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in Macedonian cuisine and the culture in general.
Lots of food in short period of time. It would be nice if the tour was longer allowing us to have time to digest
Great food tour (and she was very helpful in offering vegetarian options everywhere) - definitely would do it again.
Maria met us promptly. She was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and helpful. She clearly loves the city and communicated this to us. Although it was a hot day the stops involved only short walks and she was great at making sure we got ample water and shade The foods we sampled were very tasty and characteristic of the city snd either Maria or the owner if the shoo dud a great job of explaining unique features of the food, where it csme from and its role in the daily culture. An excellent tour..
Such a great your. Maria was absolutely amazing!
There is lots of lovely local food. Food that you may not have tasted before. Would definitely recommend. Maria was a lovely guide,
Our guide and tour were excellent! We made 7 different stops from food, to olive oil selections, olive tastings, and more!
A great tour from our guide Maria. She is knowledgeable and passionate about her city. Arrive hungry!
Maria was wonderful! She was able to explain the food, how it became a tradition, and was VERY friendly! Such a wonderful tour. The reviews saying to not eat breakfast, don’t. You get so much food!!!
Definitely come hungry. There's lots of food. Doggy bags are provided. Ha ha. Some areas felt a little rushed. But overall really good. Inc Olive oil tasting.
It was a great tour to get a taste of Greek culture and food. It was about a 15 minute walk from the Cruise ship. Then there was a lot of walking between stops. Please wear comfortable shoes. I would not recommend an extreme heat. The guide was adorable.
Had a nice tour. Let’s of food! Lots of walking thru the city. If it’s hot it would be hard!! Maria wa very knowledgeable and sweet.
Our food tour with Maria was definitely a trip highlight for us! We tried so many things that we wouldn’t have found on our own and it is hard to pick a favorite. If you’re curious about Greek food I can’t recommend this enough.
What an amazing time! Dina was awesome! She knew so much about the area and the history! The food was so good!! We wére so ful!
First day in Thessalone nice way to try local foods and see some of area great guide Konstantia knew a lot about Greek food and good pace and spoke perfect English.
The tour guide - Konstantsia, she is amazing, very knowledgeable, and easy going. The tour is well organized: dynamic and in the same time it is not rushing out. I got a lot of helpful information, tried delicious food and learned about Thessaloniki traditional food. Strongly recommend not to eat breakfast before the tour.
What a great tour! We found our way no problem to the meet up spot from the cruise ship. It was all very organized. Since there were 15 people signed up, they split us into two groups, so we ended up having 9 people in our group - our group of 5 and another family of 4. Our guide, Maria, was an absolute delight and all the food was amazing and plentiful. We highly recommend this tour! The pace was perfect - not at all rushed but we managed to experience so many different Greek specialties. Our favorate was the Bougatsa - tasted both a sweet and a savory version. There was so much delicious food and it was such a fun way to experience this lively city! Maria followed up with an email, explaining all the things we had tasted. That was so thoughtful of her! Excellent experience. Do Not eat before this excursion! You will walk to the markets and old town… wear comfortable shoes.
Konstantina was an amazing guide. She made sure we were on time and made it to our destinations safely. The tour encompasses the unique flavors of Thessaloniki. Due to my dietary restrictions, she made sure to double check each restaurant to make sure I was able to enjoy the food. A new restaurant was even swapped into the tour to cater to my needs. Though it was just Konstantina and I, she was a great conversationist, and has a warm personality, it felt like I was dining with a friend.

Do not eat breakfast. Tour provides a ton of delicious and different food and drinks! Great opportunity to experience local cuisine in authentic markets and restaurants. Our guide, Constantina, was knowledgeable, funny and friendly. We did a lot of walking on this tour but our group enjoyed that. Definitely recommend!!
Had a beautiful sunny day walking to places we would have missed if we attempted to go on our own. Maria tasted many different cuisines of Greece while visiting the various neighborhoods. Ate copious amounts of food. Could have done this all day w this young lady but not enough room in our bellies. Thank you Maria ! Carol & Jeff USA
Outstanding tour with an outstanding guide! Food and drink was plentiful! We enjoyed every minute with Vagellis! He is smart, knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend time with. Definitely a must do, highly recommend,
The tour company was extremely flexible, since we had to change our date due unexpected weather on the cruise. Food portions generous & tasty....Vaegelis was very personable, & informative. Always concerned that we were comfortable...in general a very enyoyable half- day experience!
Our guide was very nice and informed. The food stops were delicious and educational. We enjoyed learning about life in Thessaloniki
We had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed all the places we visited! Kostas was informative, friendly and engaged with us the entire time. There were so many delicious tastings and the vendors were all generous and hospitable. Make sure you go on an empty stomach!

This was great! Guide was very knowledgeable and great value for the money! Kids enjoyed as well!! Highly recommend.
This 2.5 hour food tour gives an excellent overview of Thessaloniki/Greek cuisine in a fun group setting. Maria, our tour guide, was excellent and the conversations with her and the group of 14 equaled the tasty food. Highly recommend if you want to get a quick taste and tour.
Our guide (Maria) was wonderful, and the choices on the food tour were delicious - a fun variety of types and flavors of food, with new things to try even for those who had been on other Greek food tours in the past. Another fun bonus: we were able to bring home our leftovers!
Maria was so kind, you could see that she really cared about her work. The small group made the experience feel really personal. And most importantly: the food was really good! What a perfect way to explore a city.
Had an absolutely wonderful time tasting authentic Greek food with our guide, Kostos. He took us to authentic Greek family restaurants.
Maria was great and enthusiast about her city. Warm, personable and informative. Felt like a friend was giving us through the city.
Maria was absolutely great! Very informative and gave us a great tour around town and the must haves of Greece. Even provided us with Thessaloniki history!
The tour was more than expected and took us through tastings of beautiful foods where we could all sit comfortably and felt very welcomed by each vendor. The tour leader , Maria was excellent, very kind and took care to include everyone. Recommended.
Great tour of the local tastes of Thessaloniki with great variety - Maria our guide was fantastic! She was guiding us through the different places - giving us background information and history to everything we were tasting. Expect to get full and get a great overview of the local cuisine. Bustling experience!
What a lovely morning spent with Konstantina, she was so helpful and knowledgeable, she spoke very good English and was passionate about her Greek heritage and food. She kept us entertained and well fed with local dishes. Would highly recommended
My wife and I were scheduled for a bike tour it was raining pretty steady, Our guide Elena offered to go in the rain if we wanted or to take us on a food tour as an alternative. We chose the food tour which turned out to be a fantastic experience, lots of very authentic food experiences. Elena was an excellent host and guide. We can not say enough good things about her. We recommend her 1000% :) :)
Maria took my wife and I on a delightful walk through Thessaloniki's bustling Kapani Market and into charming locally owned tavern's to experience the culinary wonders of Greece. She covered all the bases and filled the space in-between with stories of Greek history. We ended the tour with a special Greek coffee & sweets in the upper loft of a coffee shop. Maria was a joy to tour with and made our experience fun and memorable. Highlights? Filo triangles & Ouzo!
Maria was fantastic; we learned so much about food and history from her. I highly recommend the experience!
