Michael was great, very good guide. Great personality, very kind, funny. Took us off the beaten track to the foot hill of Mount Olympus. Unfortunately because of a rock face that could collapse over the walking trail we weren't able to continue on the trail. He took us to a beautiful Greek monastery in the mountain instead. We had coffee at the beautiful little town of Dion. It was a bit of a walk to the meeting point from the Cruise terminal, about 10 mins. The communication with Michael was very good. Very clear on the meeting place.
Our tour with Michael was perfect! Communication ahead of time was helpful and clear and the pickup was flawless. Michael took us to beautiful places and talked about the history and myths about each one. His love for the area is evident and we enjoyed his enthusiasm. This excursion was our first cruise port in Greece and Michael provided us with detailed information that applied to all the other Greek ports. His knowledge of the Greek gods was amazing, but he also shared what life in Greece is like today, including a snack stop to have a native experience. He took us to many beautifully scenic, quiet and remote places which allowed us to experience them without crowds or being rushed. We had a wonderful tour with a very friendly and personable tour guide.
This was the most amazing tour we have ever had! Michael brought the Greek history and Greek mythology that our family loves to life with his wonderful stories and the beautiful and precious places he shared with us! Our children, 13 and 10, who love learning about the Greek myths through “Percy Jackson” and all they have learned in school, were so interested in the stories that Michael shared! He made us all feel like part of his family! His warmth and kindness along with his remarkable knowledge and enthusiasm about the myths and the sacred places made our tour with him an experience we will cherish forever!
We liked this excursion a lot and would recommend it. Michael, our guide, met us a short walk from the cruise port. Our family of 3 joined a couple for this excursion. Our day included a delicious spanakopita snack (yummy!), some short hikes (including a waterfall), visits to a few chapels (beautiful), and excellent storytelling. We really enjoyed learning about the Greeks Gods and Greek culture. Michael was friendly and informative and kept us entertained with his amazing stories.

This was a one of a kind experience getting to see Mount Olympus and hearing all the stories of the 12 Greek gods. Tour guides were both amazing and went out of their way to make this a unique and memorable experience!
Pros… Michael was an amazing guide. He is a wealth of information, walking encyclopedia, knows everything about Greek history and Greek mythology. It was a perfect day for our hike. Beautiful scenery. We went off the beaten path of tourists. Wonderful little café we stopped for coffee. And ended the tour with some time on the beach. Now for the cons…. If you are used to hiking stairs, this would be fine. I would highly stay away from this tour if you have mobility issues. There’s a lot of rough terrain to walk through and stairs. If you’re afraid of heights, definitely not to tour for you. I would be cautious with young children , trying to maneuver some of the areas. Now with that being said, you can probably sit in the car and wait. But then you miss all the beautiful scenery.
A great day out with our guide, Michael. Nothing was too much trouble. He is really knowledgeable about Greek mythology and history and we learnt loads. He is a very entertaining host who loves to share his culture and history with you. Took us to lots of places the tour buses couldn’t go.

Our guide, Michael Tsingerliotis , set the tone for our whole Greek experience. Knowledge, passionate and very hospitable. We were driven around in comfort, introduced to the intersection of mythology and history which seems to be so much a part of Greece, and enjoyed places of worship and stunning countryside. We sampled healing waters and delicious cafe fare.
Michael was an excellent tour guide and host. He is very passionate about Greek culture as well as mythology and shared with us some amazing stories throughout our trip. We were on a cruise ship in Thessaloniki and took about an hour ride to Dion to see an unrestored 700 year-old church. Then we stopped at a beautiful mountain town for some coffee and breakfast. We headed into the mountain for three or four stops and at each location. Michael told us stories as well as the history of the culture of Greece. We then took the hour long ride back into Thessaloniki to conclude the tour which lasted about six hours overall. I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you would like to get out of the urban setting for a few hours and enjoy some beautiful nature. The views were far more stunning than I expected. Highly recommended, and Michael was excellent the entire time.

Michael was a great tour guide, he is very professional and knowledgeable about the area and the history. He took us to some nice places and allowed plenty of time for picture taking and enjoying the areas beauty. The gifts and stop at Efi’s coffee shop was extra special.
Michael our guide took the time to determine our interests to ensure a customized experience and was able to highlight a number of locations that the apostle paul had visited. The views were spectacular particularly the ridge that led to the waterfall. He regaled us with historical facts and his own experience from living and working in the city and region. It was well worth going on a small group trip to Mt Olympus.
Michael was a kind, friendly and accommodating tour guide! Our cruise ship arrived so late that he had to pivot and come up with a plan B. We went to a beautiful vineyard and got to tour the winery and museum, after we had a wine tasting. We could see the Sea and Mt Olympus! Michael made our day fun! He took us to another location at a monastery with breathtaking views. He also treated us to the best dessert in Thessaloniki!! I only hope we can return and have another adventure to the home of the 12 gods!!! You will not be disappointed if you book this tour with Michael!!

Our guide was very kind and hospitable to us. He shared his vast knowledge of the ancient gods in a way that made them come alive. I had worried that the hike with the altitude might be too much for us but it was not at all. We drove to beautiful stops and then walked on easy trails to see different places.
We had a wonderful time with Michael during our Thessaloniki stop of our cruise! He was super knowledgeable about Greek mythology as well as the history of the area and everywhere he took us was devoid of other tourists which we thoroughly enjoyed. We loved every stop and Michael discreetly showed us a perfect place for my friends’ surprise proposal and even showed us a bonus epic picture spot. He picked us up/dropped us off a close walking distance from the cruise port and made sure we got back to our cruise with time to spare. We will definitely do another tour with Michael when we are back in Thessaloniki. He told us the beaches are not to be missed!

Michael was the perfect tour guide. He shared so much of his knowledge about Greek mythology and history. We thoroughly enjoyed his stories and explanations about all the areas we visited. He was also very accommodating with our pickup and drop off. Also he treated us to a mid morning snack and coffee and even gave us a souvenir from Olympus.

We were visiting Greece on board the Celestyal Journey cruise ship. None of the cruise line excursions for Thessaloniki looked exciting to us, and we really wanted a chance to see Mount Olympus in person. I found this tour online, and it was the only one available that fit the length of time we were scheduled to be in port. Despite the fact that our cruise ship kept changing the times and duration that we would be in port that day, Michael was incredibly accommodating and reassuring that we would be able to see the mountain as planned. He and his wife picked us up very near the cruise terminal and whisked us off to Mount Olympus and Aphrodite's river, with several other fascinating stops as well. Michael is a knowledgeable and entertaining guide. They have rightfully earned the excellent reviews I read prior to booking, as our experience was exemplary. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area. I have come to understand that he offers other kinds of tours as well (wineries, etc.), for those whose travels will keep them in Michael's beloved Thessaloniki for a longer span of time.

Very nice day with a very knowledgeable guide, a personal and excellent experience. Very nice to see different places around Mountain Olympus finishing with a good bath in the ocean.
Great trip, including village and beach stops, toilet and coffees/cakes provided at local cafe. Michael provided a history lesson on Greek mythology during the trip. The walk was easy (we’re in our 60s) and you just wear shoes, shorts and light shirt and hat. The weather was warm and much of the walk in the shade. Excellent day. Picked up at 9 and dropped back at 3.

This was such a lovely day trip from our base in bustling Thessaloniki. Our guide Michael provided an entertaining narrative as we journeyed towards the magnificent Mount Olympus. We visited beautiful waterfalls and spectacular viewpoints with the most wonderful scenery. The air was crisp and clear and the trees and wildflowers spring fresh. Michael organised a coffee and pastries stop in a beautiful little town which was much appreciated. We enjoyed Michael’s tales of The Gods and importance in Greek Culture. A very enjoyable day and highly recommended.
