The hotel itself it is renovated - room, lobby and probably the spa yet the pool/restroom area it really needs renovations badly. Breakfast it is ok, yet I have to say that when I heard the waiter telling me this morning that if I want a different type of eggs I have to ,,pay extra’’ except the scrambled eggs that looked very unappealing it really bothered me and my mother, especially when you pay close to 300 eur a night. So considering to book a second stay here I will definitely think about it….
We had a wonderful stay at Makedonia Palace in Thessaloniki. From the moment we arrived, the quality of service was exceptional. The entire team was professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel very well looked after throughout our stay.
The rooms are elegant, spacious, extremely comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with great attention to detail. The hotel’s location and views make the experience even more special.
Breakfast was another highlight, an excellent selection of high-quality, fresh products with plenty of choice and something for every taste. The pool area is beautiful and relaxing, and provides the perfect place to unwind, particularly during the summer.
What really distinguishes Makedonia Palace, however, is the consistently high standard across every aspect of the hotel. Excellent service, beautiful rooms, a fantastic breakfast, wonderful facilities, and a superb location on Thessaloniki’s waterfront.
A truly five-star experience and a hotel we would happily recommend and return to.

My stay at Makedonia Palace was outstanding from start to finish. The hotel’s location is unbeatable, right on Thessaloniki’s beautiful waterfront, offering breathtaking sea views while still being within walking distance of the city center.
The room was elegant, spotless, and very comfortable, with excellent amenities and a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast was exceptional, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options to suit every taste.
What truly made the experience memorable was the professionalism and kindness of the staff. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The service throughout the hotel was impeccable.
If you’re looking for a luxurious stay with outstanding hospitality, excellent facilities, and one of the best locations in Thessaloniki, Makedonia Palace is the perfect choice. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Beautiful rooms and the staff are lovely.
The hotel is fairly close to the centeral part of Saloniki - you can walk up the boardwalk which is very pretty and comfortable, about 15-20 minutes depends on how far in you're going.
We started our usual European tour by selecting this hotel which we never stayed in before transiting in Thessaloniki. Location is great, close to the center and pleasant corniche. Arrived so early in the morning and we just wanted to take coffee before checking in to find a very pleasant gentleman name Thanos, extremely friendly, positive and guest minded. He promised to do his best yet the hotel was packed and it was Sunday morning. In less than an hour he brought us the access card of the first room so we can rest from our long drive.
We had a minor issue with our Espresso machine and the response was amazing, everyone in this hotel care, which shows the hotel manager is doing great job.
