Taco was a fantastic tour guide. He was super knowledgable and made us laugh all the way through. I highly recommend him!

Itinerary
Meetingpoint for the tour, (we do not enter the Museum) Our tour starts and ends at the Mauritshuis, an important historic landmark built for count Johan Maurits. It marks the Dutch Golden Century and its museum halls can be visited after the tour to see both the latest exhibitions and classical pieces from Rembrandt and Vermeer.
Discover the difference between Hagenaars en Hagenezen, often referenced by The Hague's key figure 'Haagse Harry' in its eponymous comic books. We will stop for a photo at the iconic statue of this local hero.
Tread in the footsteps of royalty before the majestic Royal Palace Noordeinde, where the Dutch royal family resides. If you are lucky, you may see them waving at the crowds from their balcony.
Step into the beautiful gardens of the Royal Palace, where locals come together for a stroll or a picnic.
Walk through the courtyard of the Binnenhof, where the Dutch government holds parliament. Learn about its ambiguous origin, how it held up through the centuries and see the members of parliament ride their bicycle to the office. The Ridderzaal is accessible with a guided tour, which can be done after the tour.
Built in the late Middle Ages, this towering church can be seen from almost anywhere in the city centre and is an architectural delight.
Explore the city centre on foot and access places where tour buses and boats can't reach. Our knowledgeable guides are passionate storytellers, who know the ins and outs of the city and will tell you how to experience it like a true 'Hagenees'.

This is a free tour. The Viator fee all goes to Viator. The guide, who did a nuce job, works for tips only. The guided walk covers most of the highlights of central The Hauge.
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and we enjoyed this walking experience. He was very young so it was wonderful to know young people were so keen
Local guide Redeun was passionate and very interesting to listen to. He engaged well With the group and gave first hand experience of the area.
Ronald was an excellent and knowledgeable guide.
It was a great experience even in the rain. Thanks to our guide who helped find some shelter and some unique places.
Booking cancelled, which I missed, however Viator still sent 2 later emails with meeting details and ticket , which I got. Showed up at meeting point, waited, and it really dampened the day , as I could have made alternate arrangements, had I been aware of cancelled tour
Joao did a great job. Very knowledgeable and helpful! Would definitely recommend to someone who wants a good overview of The Hague
John was a humorous Portuguese guide who amused us for 2.5 hours. unfortunately much of the centre of The Hague is currently under renovation and covered in scaffolding, the centre will be far more accessible in 12 months.
Joao was a great tour guide. He included major locations, as well as installations one would have missed without a guide. Very personable.
Ronald was an interesting and engaging guide. I enjoyed this tour.
Spent a wonderful morning with our tour guide, Oscar, learning the history of The Hague. It’s our 4th tour of this trip and we all agreed that Oscar was the best guide. He answered questions, told great stories snd offered suggestions for other places to visit.
Ronald was a great guide. It was a perfect overview of the city and its highlights - lots of interesting stories and good recommendations.
Ronald was an excellent guide! We saw so much in 2 hours. He offered tips and recommendations for the rest of our day. Highly recommend this tour!
We enjoyed this tour. It was a great way to get to know the city. I recommend this tour. It was a free tour, so it was up to you to decide how much to tip. Our group was a little bit big, but our tour guide did a good job making sure we could all hear him.
Our guide Taco was wonderful. He was informative and engaging, and he threw in a little humor along the way. The pace of the tour was good — mix of walking and standing. It had just the right amount of stops. I recommend this tour without hesitation.
Taco was an excellent guide and shared his local knowledge. Good information, lots of information and a good sense of humor. The pace was good and overall a very positive experience.
Taco was an amazing guide and a wonderful storyteller! Absolutely recommend. Go for it, it’ll be worth it.
What a great tour! Oscar was fantastic! He kept the whole group entertained not only with interesting history facts but also with a great sense of humor that made the tour of 2,5 hours fly in time. Highly recommend Oscar as your guide.
Juan (from Porugal) did s great tour! Entertaining and informative!
Oscar was very good and very knowledgable about the subject matter. Have a new understanding of the history of Hague.
You can get this tour for free. It is a free tour, but Viator sells it. When we got there, there was a sign that said free tour.
Our guide, Joha, was incredibly nice and knowledgeable but we were expecting more walking, exploring, and details on the buildings, and architecture. We didn’t get too many steps in but he did relay the history of the area. The city in itself has a lot of cool old buildings with interesting history. We ended up looking up the history in some of these places on our own afterwards. Maybe Europeans don’t find such things as interesting because they are constantly surrounded by history, but being a North American I was expecting a little more.
Oscar was fabulous! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. A great way to get to know The Hague. He told us interesting stories of the history of the city. Highly recommend!
Ronald was an amazing, fun & knowledgeable guide, who has lived in Den Haag for many years. We thoroughly enjoyed the walking trip and would highly recommend.
Niels was a very knowledgeable guide with a good sense of humour. It was a comprehensive and enjoyable tour.
We had a great tour with Maurits our guide who was very knowledgeable about the history but also had some local anecdotes with a great sense of humour, he looked after the group making sure everyone was ok and keeping up. The weather wasn't great but he had some spare umbrellas just in case. And there were many opportunities to take pictures! Make sure you have cash ready in case you want to tip, which the guide does not ask for or expect, but you will probably want to!
We had a great tour with Ronald! He had great stories and led a great tour. He did a great job keeping the group together as well! Thank you Ronald!
Informative humorous guide on a warm beautiful day. Very pleasant way to enjoy den Hague. Good discussion of Dutch history
We enjoyed the walking tour with Oscar. He was very entertaining and informative. Oscar shared tons of historical facts and stories. We highly recommend this tour to anyone.
Lots of walking but easy to do. Streets were not very crowded & Guide pointed to interesting areas to visit on own.
Our guide was a Hague resident, but not a historian. He shared some interesting information but I think it could have been much better. He was not what I expected, certainly not rude , but not overly knowledgeable, not a professional.
Ronald was great ! Highly recommend !
Taco, our guide was very nice and informative. Govt areas , palace, street of linden trees, history of the royals to current times. I recommend this to first time visitors.
Definitely value for money and so much seen and learned due to John the rep
The guide was very friendly and was easy to hear. The information he gave was good however it would have been interesting to hear more about the role of The Hague in international law and justice and for example why the ICJ is in The Hague. After the tour we visited the free Peace Palace 30 min audio exhibition which was very helpful in our understanding.
This is a great tour, especially if you enjoy history and architecture. It's also awesome for helping you to get your bearings in the centre of the city. Our guide, Ronald, was an excellent storyteller and injected a lot of humour into his stories. Definitely recommend!
Reduan was an amazing guide! We had a great time. And the pace was perfect, a great experience for our first day in the Netherlands!
No guide turned up so the tour didn't happen as about 20 people waiting for the same tour can confirm. Obviously I am upset about paying a booking fee for an event that didn't happen, but I am more angry that no message was received from the organizers so more than half an hour of our vacation was wasted waiting for someone who didn't turn up. How difficult would it be to send a message that the tour was cancelled or whatever? Totally unprofessional and likely to put me off booking with Trip Advisor or Viator in future.
Oscar gave us a great tour! So glad we went on the day that he works (wednesday morn) so that we could enjoy his stroll through The Hague. Honestly, right now, there's so much construction, I was wondering if it was even worth it to go - but Oscar gave us such a great tour, I'm glad we didn't skip.
This was a fantastic tour with Reaudon. He’s extremely knowledgeable and took us to see all the highlights of The Hague!
Very informative, Ronald was a wonderful guide. Highly recommend. The Hague is a treasure and a must see destination.
Very well informed walking tour by an architect. You don't cover a huge area as The Hague is the mosy densly populated area of the Netherlands (I learned on the walk along with why the government is in the Hague but Amsterdam is the capital) but you will learn a lot. The walk is free but everyone gaveca tip.
This was a very good orientation to The Hague. Our guide, Ronald, had many historical and current stories to share and guided us expertly. He was a wonderful ambassador for this city tour
Excellent, knowledgeable and erudite guide who offered us numerous tips to enhance our stay
Ronald was very informative. It's an interesting place. Shame Binnen off is out of bounds during renovations
Taco was amazing and showed us the city and it’s history in a very funny way. Highly recommend taking the tour
Knowledgeable guide; good pacing! Well worth it! Good to have a real local’s perspective. I’d recommend this to anyone who is a first timer as was I.
The walking tour was booked and confirmed, but the guide didn’t show up or make any contact. Tour company apologised and agreed to refund the booking fee, but no explanation provided.
Very nice tour with an experienced witty guide called, Ronald(o). Amazing person. Thanks for the interesting tour. We can recommend to book this 2-hour tour and afterwards enjoy a good fresh "haring". Have fun.
