(For fellow Taiwanese travelers' reference) The hotel itself is peaceful and luxurious. The rooms are incredibly spacious, featuring a large sofa and a single-seater sofa positioned perfectly by the window for enjoying the view. The gentleman at the front desk is extremely friendly. He used to live in Japan, so communicating in Japanese works perfectly fine here too. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options, and the food tastes excellent. The location is very convenient. Once you walk out to the main road, you can easily catch a bus or the light rail heading straight to the beach or the station. Highly recommended for Taiwanese travelers who want to enjoy an affordable luxury vacation!

Decided to do a quick road trip to The Hague for the Pentecost weekend at short notice and booked the hotel only 2 days in advance. This was the only Accor hotel available at short notice. Check in at 13h was a mixed experience, room wasn't ready (would be ready at 14.30h) and I was told no ALL Diamond upgrade was possible (fair enough as the hotel showed up as sold out). An hour later they called me on the mobile and said they double checked and indeed they could upgrade me and that room was available immediately. The room I booked was an Executive Balcony Queen, the upgraded was to a KIng, so a matter of mere bed centimeters but I guess better than nothing. The new male front desk agent was extremely robotic, no charm available here. Even my travelling companion thought it was lacking any real welcome. Anyway, I don't need to make friends here but I am a stickler for old fashioned hospitality. Car parking is a steep €32.50. The hotel is very centrally located and only quite recently opened (built during COVID, opened after the pandemic). Now the room was a good size (25m2) and decently furnished in a modern style: glass fronted wardrobe, amenity console with minibar (only 2 small water bottles), Nespresso machine and a small table with seating. The absence of a desk or work areas was glaring as surely they get quite some business travellers. The bathroom was separate (no nudity exposing glass walls here) and a good size. A large balcony complemented the room. If I had to criticise one thing it would be the duvet which felt very thin and flimsy. But all in all, a good room and having the balcony was great on an early summers days (26c). The welcome drink could be redeemed for everything except cocktails, so two glasses of wine did the trick. One of Mövenpick Hotels distinguishing feature is their hotel chocolate hour. I only experienced it once in Bangkok and it was an impressive affair, here less so, reduced to a tray in the lobby with a handful of chocolates. Not sure if this or the BKK offer are normal but certainly not impressive. The lobby however has a comprehensive tuck shop where they sell you all sorts of sweets and drinks. Breakfast was a big let down. The buffet is rather limited and eggs cooked to order are extra. Now the Dutch have a reputation for being stingy but charging €3 for some water logged poached eggs struck me as bizarre. Service was chaotic, shooing guest out of the way when they wanted to replace items, and the eggs took forever to arrive (the restaurant was hardly full). At least they dropped the extra egg charges... Would I return? Very likely if the rate was decent, other Accor hotel in the city are all quite dated.
Awesome hotel to stay at on The Hague. The room was extremely spacious, as was the bathroom which included both a shower and a tub. There were plenty of windows and lots of natural light. The bed was comfortable and electronically adjustable. Staff were always friendly and there are some nice extras like the basement gym, a shoe polisher on each floor and the ability to turn down housekeeping in exchange for a 5 euro voucher per day. It's located in a more quiet street very close to the royal palace and embassies, but only a 15 minute walk to the train station. There are still plenty of restaurants nearby. Great value for what you get.
We stayed here just before Easter, 2026 when the weather was brilliant but we had a nice time in the city. Here is my review including the highs and lows. Our check in came via the car park entrance at -B1. Not many spaces available and extremely tight to park an average car. (Signs in the garage say so - good) Was then told by Oswaldo nice man) the car park charges were 22 euros, pay when you leave, we were told We were then horrified to be changed 97 euros to get our car out of the car park. When I explained about the 22 euros from what Oswaldo told us; 'that's Oswaldo, the lady said. It left a bitter taste in my month thinking, I won't return here again - NEVER! It's a rip off. If you can park on the street it'd much cheaper. The check in was slow, no fast check in even as we're priority Accord members for over 20 years. Was then asked to pay, only realising that I had paid well in advance. The room was big and spacious, very nice! The sofa was not brilliant, being hard and a tad big. Also the lack of lighting was poor also. We had to do everything by the table as it had a nice overing hanging light. The bathroom was nice a big - full marks there. (I had booked a large room because my wife is in a wheelchair.) The housekeeping staff were EXCELLENT after my wife became sick. TOP marks again here. The breakfast room come drinking area was well arranged and played out - lovely. Also the food was good there. Two problems 1, the breakfast tea RAN out, poor stock management here. 2, On Sunday (29.3.26) hour change day, the food was cold. The staff reported to us they NEVER realised about the hour change. What??? One last point, 1 travelled and stopped in many hotels over the last 30 years, and it's VERY unusual to see two male colleagues at the front desk, it was three days before I saw a women at our departure, also sorry to be picky, a desk in the middle of the room wants rethinking!I
This was my first visit to this hotel and it is amazing, exceptionally clean and tidy with very helpful and obliging staff. The location is brilliant with many of the attractions, restaurants and shopping within an easy 5 to 15 minute walk. The rooms are spacious with tea and coffee facilities as well as large TV and a fridge. Bathrooms equally spacious with walk in rain showers. I am a group leader with 25 years of travel and this is certainly one of the best hotels I have stayed in and Movenpick will certainly be a hotel of choice for my own leisure travel.
