This is the symbol of the World's Fair, known as "Hemisfair" held in San Antonio in 1968. Over 6 million people visited the city to experience the World's Fair. 750' tall, it towers over the city skyline.
Stroll among the towering cypress trees and hear the history of the historic Riverwalk. Take a photo on the famous Selena Bridge, visit Marriage Island, the cute Arneson River Theater, and so many other highlights of the Riverwalk.
This outdoor theater, constructed in 1940, is on the San Antonio Riverwalk and is the scene of river parades, entertainment....and movies. Also located here is the beautiful Rosita Bridge.
This towering sculpture is an icon of San Antonio. It was a gift to the city to show the friendship between three nations. Designed by Sebastian, this 65' high sculpture arrived in the city in 2002.
Hear the fascinating history and mystery of San Antonio's most haunted hotel.... and the famous celebrities who have stayed there.
It is one of the oldest cathedrals in the United States and dates back to the early 1700's. Pope John Paul II visited the cathedral during his visit to San Antonio, and Jim Bowie was married there.
It's the oldest tavern on the Riverwalk and opened in 1933. Apart from being the perfect spot to "people-watch" on the Riverwalk it boasts a beer-soaked wooden bar which is 100 feet long.
Probably the best-loved building in San Antonio, and its Richardsonian Romanesque architecture features a unique beehive dome. Hear the story of how it came to be.....and why it is very popular on one special day each year.
See the iconic riverside restaurant with the colorful umbrellas. It boasts of being the first restaurant to open on the Riverwalk and dates back to 1946. A great spot to enjoy strolling mariachis as well.

One of the best walking tours that my husband and I have ever taken. Stewart was an excellent; highly informative, well prepared and humorous. He provided us with great insight into the history and culture of the Riverwalk, Alamo and numerous additional sites of historical significance in the area. His pace was relaxed but he shared a wealth of information. He also pulled in numerous additional, fascinating facts and stories that added immensely to the experience. He took some memorable photos and emailed them immediately after our tour. Excellent!!
Had a great time discovering San Antonio with Stewart as our guide. We enjoyed the sights, detailed information, and his sense of humor! Highly recommend this tour!
We had a wonderful tour with Stewart! He was so accommodating, knowledgeable and informative. We all enjoyed our, even in the rain! We highly recommend this tour with Stewart as our guide.
My brother and I took this tour on a quick weekend trip to San Antonio. Stewart did a great job as a guide along the riverwalk and kept the tour fun and informative. I learned a lot about how important the riverwalk has been to the city since the 1940’s and many interesting stories about things that have gone on in the area. It was a very interesting tour I’d recommend to anyone visiting San Antonio!
Taking a walking tour with Stewart was such an unexpected treat. After a weeks long vacation through multiple cities in Texas, and many tours along the way- our last tour of the trip was one with Stewart. He was a great guide! We stopped at so many fantastic spots as we weaved through San Antonio’s Riverwalk. He was insightful and kind enough to take some photos of us at some picture-worthy locations. We learned so much about San Antonio! As if the backdrop wasn’t beautiful enough already, he also carried a binder with additional visuals to help us “see” into the past! We would, without a doubt, highly recommend this tour.
This is one of the best city tours I’ve been on. Stewart, the tour guide is very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and most importantly very respectful to everyone in our tour group. He provided a great overview of downtown San Antonio and a comprehensive history of the river walk. I highly recommend this tour.
Great tour with lots of interesting details about San Antonio including the Alamo and the design of the riverwalk.
We'd never been in San Antonio before and this was the perfect way to get an understanding of the city. Our tour guide was very informative, he made it fun too! Everyone should try this one out!
It was delightful. Stewart was well prepared, patient and thorough. His preparation was apparent in his presentation. It was well done.
Great tour even with terrible weather. It rained the entire time but the tour was amazing so I did not mind the rain. Better pictures with less people. Great information on the tour
Stewart was Fantastic as my Guide to San Antonio and the Riverwalk. Stewart did an Outstanding job in Highlighting the History and the Sights of San Antonio while also giving insight into the History, Culture and it Sights. I Especialy enjoyed the Highlights of the Alamo and His Vivid insight into its History. Stewart Thank You for a wonderful experience and I highly recommend to Anyone looking to Visit San Antonio.
Fantastic guide, informative & comprehensive tour of the downtown area. A must-do for visitors to the city! Stewart was amazing as our tour guide. We have been to San Antonio a handful of times and have enjoyed seeing many sights of the city. Stewart took this visit to the next level with his fun and informative tour. We learned things about The Alamo, Riverwalk, and various other stops along our route that we had never heard before! Our family was a group of 8; our youngest child was 3 and oldest 16. All our kids enjoyed this activity and though I was a bit apprehensive about taking a stroller for our 3 and 4 yr olds due to many stairs along the Riverwalk; we brought small very lightweight foldable umbrella strollers along that quickly fold up (actually we didn’t even bother to fold them, just simply carried the strollers up a flight of stairs or two) and it worked beautifully. Our littles jumped right in/out of their stroller and it saved their legs from being tired. Stewart was patient and understanding to adjust to our kiddos needs and it was much appreciated. Book this tour, you will not be disappointed. Whether it’s your first visit to the city or you’ve been several times I almost guarantee you’ll learn something new and have a great time doing so!
Our walking tour was led by Stewart, who is surprisingly an Aussie, that has been living in San Antonio for the past 25 years and has a passion and enthusiasm for the city's history. He made the tour fun and interesting and we learned a lot about the city through his guidance. We enjoyed seeing the Riverwalk area, Alamo, and nearby sights and recommend it to others who enjoy walking, seeing the sights, and learning some interesting history.
Had the best time! Stewart is an exceptional storyteller who painted a vivid picture of the Riverwalk in San Antonio, especially its architecture. He also shared the fascinating history about the Alamo. We have done several walking tours across the country, and this is hands down, one of the best.
Stewart’s walking tour was absolutely fantastic! He is highly engaging, funny and so knowledgeable about San Antonio and is continuously learning more to add to his tour. Stewart included rest stops and a coffee stop adding to the relaxed pace of the tour. He catered for various mobility levels of the group members. Stewart was able to effortlessly answer questions from the group in addition to the tour content. Stewart provided one of the best walking tours of a city that we have experienced around the world. The three hours is jam packed with information and amazing value for money. We would definitely recommend this tour to others and if we return to San Antonio would book in for one of Stewart’s other tours. Don’t miss the opportunity to learn about San Antonio with Stewart. You won’t regret it.
Stewart showed us all the highlights of San Antonio. Thank you for an enjoyable tour. This is the one to do!
I highly recommend this tour! Most historical walking tours I've experienced in other cities last two hours, but this tour is three hours--and well worth every extra minute. Stewart knows his facts, has a great sense of humor and will remember your name. A great way to spend a morning all the way around.
Great tour and so much information mixed with fun! Stewart knows a lot and is passionate about the area. Highly recommended!
Very informative and fun. Learned about the history with a little competitive twist! Stewart shared restaurants we did not have on our list, as well as additional tours he thought we would enjoy. He also suggested a couple of activities we didn’t even know existed. We made a point to add them to our itinerary and so happy we did. With Stewart’s suggestions, our trip was more memorable than it would have been without them. Put Stewart’s tour early in your visit so that you don’t miss some of the lesser known or more informative sites. You will definitely get more bang for your buck.
This was one of the best tours we have taken. Stewart has put a lot of time into designing this adventure. He is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and willing to answer any question presented. We walked along the riverfront while he pointed out many interesting facts about the local history or architecture. We stopped along the tour at different points of interest such as the Buckhorn Saloon, The Alamo, Menger Hotel (Ghost stories) and we learned fun fats about buildings and their construction along the way. We would highly recommend this tour.
Stewart was a great host and storyteller. Well worth it.
We had such a wonderful time on this tour and learned so much about the city of San Antonio and the Riverwalk. Spencer is very knowledgeable and makes the tour so interesting and fun. My family and I were still talking about this tour days later. Definitely recommend!
This is a great tour for those who want to learn about the history of San Antonio while taking in the sights and beauty of the Riverwalk!
Our guide, Stewart, was fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable and complete in his coverage of the river walk and other local sites. The 3 hours flew by. We covered so much ground, historically as well as literally! Highly recommend.
Super informative. Well-paced tour. Stewart has a wealth of stories to share about his adopted home city, San Antonio.
Stewart was great. The tour was enjoyable & informative. Would definitely recommend it. This sentence is just to reach the 100 character minimum...
Friendly, considerate, supremely knowledgeable, and a pleasant Aussie accent. Stewart made our time along the river walk fly with by with his stories, quizzes, and big blue binder of notable faces. Rich history deserves to be well-told and this tour has it all. Worth it!
Since I was coming to visit family in San Antonio with two of my children (ages 25 and 9) who had never been there before, I decided a tour would be a fun way for them to see the city and also learn about its interesting history. Stewart is an excellent and engaging tour guide, who kept the tour interesting and moving at a perfect pace. I was amazed that after only asking once when we arrived, he remembered all of our names and even made a point of engaging my children in the tour and conversing with them. We all learned a lot and look forward to seeing more of San Antonio next time we are in the area.
Stewart was fantastic. Stories, pictures, funny, could answer any question. Highly recommend. There is so much to know about the history of the Riverwalk - you would never know without the tour.
I booked this excursion because I love walking tours, and this one with Steward was absolutely amazing. He shared so much information we didn’t know before and included really interesting facts that kept the whole tour engaging. There was nothing boring at all - and if you’ve ever been on a boring excursion, this is definitely not one of them. Steward manages to keep your attention for a full three hours of walking, and you never get bored for a second. The experience was truly amazing, even for someone as picky as I am. I would recommend this tour to every single person who asks me what to do in San Antonio. If you’re visiting, just book this excursion and enjoy it.
My wife and I like guided tours, and this one was so far beyond expectations. Stewart was informative, funny and insightful. We learned a tremendous amount about the Riverwalk area and even gained perspective on the Alamo that we didn't get from a guided tour of the Alamo itself!
My husband, 15yo son and did a walking tour with Stewart and learned so much about history of the RiverWalk, Alamo, Menger Hotel and downtown San Antonio! Stewart also took several photos of our family in iconic locations. The tour is a full 3 hours and well worth the cost!
Stewart was extremely knowledgeable and had a great understanding of San Antonio and its history. He is a great storyteller and relates everything to make it interesting. This is a MUST DO tour if visiting San Antonio for the first time to even if you live in the city. This was my 2nd time to do this tour with Stewart. My first time on the tour , I was with my husband and we learned so much about the Riverwalk and San Antonio in general. Our tour was so good in 2024 that when my friends planned a girls trip to San Antonio, I knew we they would love the tour. Stewart has a wealth of information about San Antonio's Riverwalk and surrounding area. I love how he has a think binder of pictures that he shares with his stories. You can't go wrong with booking this walking tour.

Very interesting history and info about the city. Stewart did a wonderful job, kept us moving at a pace we enjoyed with many details we would not have known.
Stewart was an awesome tour guide. He took us all around the City and the River Walk! He was polite, informative and spoke so we could all hear. We really enjoyed the tour. We were skeptical when we booked a 3 hour walking tour but the time just flew and I would take another tour with Stewart any time!
Awesome tour of San Antonio! Lots of history given and Stewart, our guide, was super knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
Very interesting and comprehensive tour along the river walk. Stewart is a wealth of information and made the tour fun with his quizzes!!
Stewart did a phenomenal job guiding me along the River Walk and through areas of downtown San Antonio. As a travel advisor, I have been on several tours over the years, and Stewart was definitely one of the best guides I have had the pleasure of touring with. He was very knowledgeable, and it was evident he enjoys sharing information about the city he lives in. He even offered to take pictures of me in some of the more photographic areas since I was on the tour by myself. He had a binder with photos that helped give some great visuals to go along with the information he was sharing, and he was willing to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend a walking tour with Stewart on your visit to San Antonio!
Wow! What a great walking tour of the city! We selected the morning tour the day after we arrived in San Antonio. This 3-hour tour was a perfect introduction allowing us to get acclimated to the city. Stewart, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastically packaged the history, charm and hidden gems of the city as we walked the streets and canals. His story narration and binder of pictures supplied intricate details of the riverwalk since its conception. Stewart was very accommodating and graciously offered to take pictures of the participants during the tour at select photo opt stops. His love for the city is evident. Thanks again, Stewart.
Informative tour in an interesting way Stewart our guide was very professional and nice. We recommend you to take this tour.
On a weekend getaway with my daughter (15) to San Antonio, I knew I wanted to know more of the history of the Riverwalk an Alamo than we would get if we walked on our own. Booking with Stewart was the best decision! He was so informative and fun! 10/10 recommend
