This was a great experience, with a comfortable van equipped with a driver when you want to have another glass of that favorite wine. Surface street paid parking through city's app for the meet-up. Salt lick BBQ had good meat but the sides were just meh. Next was Driftwood winery with a very welcoming & knowledgeable staff, very chill vibe. Then there was Wimberly Valley winery! This place was very nice because in addition to the wine tasting (very good Moscato here) they have an animal farm, & live music. Last but not least our driver Mo was amazing! One of our group broke her sandal & he provided a pair of new socks for her & was able to rig her shoe so that she could finish the tour comfortably. As I said, great experience!

Great. Happy. Clear day. Mo was very polite & careful with us. Appreciate him
Mo was a great driver and host. We had a great time exploring the wineries. Only suggestion would be to visit the Salt Lick in between wineries instead of the first stop. It’s early to eat lunch
From pick up to drop off everything was top notch. First stop at Salt Lick BBQ for lunch was great. Portions are big so order accordingly.Visited two wineries before the ride back in our Mercedes Sprinter. Evan had us rocking on the way back with his “musical” game. Would definitely recommend and would do again if ever returning to Austin.
I thoroughly enjoyed the trip to the hill country to taste the famous Texas BBQ and do some wine tasting. We visited 3 wineries and had the chance to sample 5 or 6 wines in each of them. I bought 3 bottles of my favorites. The selection of BBQ place was excellent (the famous Salt Lick) and we wisely visited there prior to the wine tasting. The 2 guides (Moe and Koh) were very nice and lots of fun. I highly recommend tours with this company.
This activity was cancelled the morning of by the Longhorn and with the automated messages, we were under the impression we could still book since it allowed us to and I got a confirmation after rebooking. I called several times to confirm, and went straight to voicemail. Viator reached out and they also got no response. I still got refunded for both trips, but the lack of communication, the day of cancellation, and no kind of apology just turned me off as we had to adjust our day and find another wine trip for the next day. This is probably a spectacular trip as wine country in Texas is amazing and I just feel bad that I did not get to experience it here.
Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgable. I booked this experience for my husbands birthday and we had so much fun! The wine vineyards were great. We bought a few bottles of wine to take home that’s how much we liked it. Our group was super fun and funny!! We had a great time!!
Relaxing environment traveling to the Hill Country for very good food & wine choices. Driver Mo was wonderful!
One of the highlights of the tour was visiting Wimberley Valley Winery. Their rare blue wine was something truly unique and unlike anything I had seen before. The drive through the Texas Hill Country was beautiful, with rolling hills and plenty of wildlife along the way, including deer and other animals. The BBQ stop was the perfect way to finish the day with some authentic Texas flavor. Overall, a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend!
Had an amazing time on the Texas Hill Country Wine & BBQ Tour! One thing I really liked was the pickup location at 7-Eleven. It gave everyone a chance to grab snacks, drinks, coffee, or use the restroom before heading out for the day, which made the start of the trip very convenient. The wineries were beautiful, the wine tastings were excellent, and the BBQ stop was a perfect Texas experience. Everything was well organized, relaxed, and enjoyable from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Austin!
I really enjoyed visiting the vineyards on this tour. The wineries were beautiful, and the wine-tasting experience was the highlight of the day. Unfortunately, my experience at Salt Lick was disappointing. The sides were not very tasty, although the meat was good. My biggest concern was the payment process. Our group consisted of about 10 people, many of whom were complete strangers, yet the restaurant would only split the bill four ways. This created a very awkward situation where we had to exchange Cash App and Venmo information, put charges on one person's card, and then reimburse each other. This is something tour participants should be made aware of in advance so they can plan accordingly. I was also uncomfortable with the meeting location. We were instructed to meet at a 7-Eleven in an area that felt unsafe, with several homeless individuals nearby. In addition, we had to leave our vehicles parked on the street in paid parking spaces for the duration of the tour, which was concerning. Overall, the vineyards made the trip worthwhile, but there are several logistical issues that could be improved to provide a better experience for future guests.
Guide was very attentive and friendly. Maybe cutting down to 2 winerys would have given us more relaxation time
Great tour and alex the driver was a great driver.
Amazing wine tour experience! Our guide Alex was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole day effortless and fun. Great wineries, great wine, and a great time. Highly recommend!
Best tour in Austin, the driver was very knowledgeable.
Great tour, had a great time in the hill country touring with Long horn wine tours.
We came from the UK and pre booked this tour on 13th May. We’re only in Austin for 4 nights. We arrived at the meeting point about half hour before departure time and nobody turned up. We called the tour company several times and it went straight to voice mail. When we went back into our booking it had been amended to 12th June when we won’t even be here. No communication to let us know. We contacted Viator and they were also unable to contact the tour company. We wasted money on an Uber to get to the meeting point. Very disappointed with this service.
Excellent experience overall from pickup to drop off and everything in between. I especially appreciate the choice in wineries as there’s something for everyone. First one has a balance menu of sweet and dry , the next Lena’s for sweet and the last is a fun twist on Italian varietals (dry leaning)
MO was a great guide! All the stops were amazing! Highly recommend
Great tour ! Driver was very professional and knowledgeable.
I took my friends to enjoy the day with Long Horn Wine Tours and had a wonderful experience. Our driver gave the best experience we had on a tour in a long time. Highly recommend Long Horn Wine Tours.
I live in Austin but had never taken a hill country wine tour. My friend decided to sign us up for this one and it was such a fun day! We visited wineries that I was unfamiliar with and enjoyed the views, the wines, and of course Salt Lick barbecue. Our tour guide Moe did a great job! He sensed what was best for our group and was very accommodating to make sure we had the best time. This tour really captured the beauty of our hill country.
I had great time during the tour. The BBQ and wine was amazing also moe the tour guid was awesome.
We had such a great experience on the Texas Hill Country BBQ and Wine Tour from Austin! The entire day was so well organized, the wineries were beautiful, and the BBQ was a great way to start the trip. What really made the experience stand out, though, was our tour guide, Mo. He was friendly, knowledgeable, fun, and made the whole group feel comfortable from the start. You could tell he genuinely cared about everyone having a great time. He shared interesting information throughout the tour, kept everything running smoothly, and made the day feel relaxed and enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour, and if you get Mo as your guide, you’re in for an even better experience!
Mo was an outstanding tour guide. Friendly, knowledgeable, and professional from start to finish. He made the entire experience enjoyable and kept everything running smoothly. I would absolutely recommend Longhorn Tours to anyone looking for a great tour experience. They truly do an excellent job.
Great friendly, clean, well executed tour! Our guide Moe was amazing and we could not have asked for a better day
I had such a great time with Long Horn Wine Tours. Starting with BBQ was the perfect way to kick things off, and each winery had its own vibe and beautiful views. I also liked that you pay for tastings directly at each winery it gave me the freedom to choose what I wanted without feeling locked in. The whole day was smooth, relaxed, and really enjoyable from start to finish.
I’m so glad I booked this solo trip. I was made to feel very welcome by our guide, Moe, and fellow passengers. As a vegetarian, I was hesitant to book based on the Salt Lick BBQ stop but I had the vegetable plate and cobbler. It was delicious and a huge portion. We are in outside under the trees, staff was very nice. We stopped at 3 different wineries and the scenery and company along the route was amazing. The tasting at Driftwood Estates was excellent and the staff were fun and friendly. Stunning views of hill country. At the Wimberly Winery we opted for a glass of wine and some snacks on the patio. Very peaceful experience with a Tuscan vibe. Our last stop was Duchman Family winery. I got the wine infused sherbet and truffles. We sat on the picnic tables overlooking the vineyard and had a great time. Moe was great on keeping us informed and on schedule. Very friendly and accommodating. He remembered that I’d arrived solo with an Uber and he told me exactly how far in advance to order the return one so I wasn’t too long in the sun. This tour exceeded my expectations. Not being into BBQ or a heavy wine drinker, I still had enough options to make it worth it and have an amazing adventure. I would highly recommend it.
Really fun experience! Great mix of wine tastings and BBQ, and everything was well organized. Easy, relaxing, and worth it.
My daughter and I had an amazing time with Long Horn Wine Tours. Everything was smooth, relaxed, and well organized from start to finish. The stops were great, and the atmosphere made it easy to just enjoy the day together. It was a perfect experience, and I highly recommend it.
Friendly knowledgeable and accommodating guide called Mo. Trip starts early so be prepared to be eating your BBQ around 11.00/30am which we found to be a bit early but none the less the food was great and ranges from small to large portions … you pay for what you have which is a bonus . First wine stop is around 12.30 pm cost $25 pp which is reasonable for 6 flights of wine with a friendly personal experience. Two more wine stops after .. we didn’t do these but I’m sure great for wine lovers .
Great tour with Long Horn Wine Tours! Moe was fantastic easygoing and made it fun. Meant a lot to me. Highly recommend!
Had a great time with Long Horn Wine Tours! This tour meant so much to me everything was smooth, relaxing, and well put together. The Driver was awesome the BBQ and winery stops were great. The over all experience felt easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend!
We had a great experience with Moe! He was so sweet and made it a great experience. I give the entire things 5 stars. My ONLY complaint is how all stops are extra $$$ outside of what was already paid. Nothing included.
Mo was absolutely amazing!!! He was patient, informative and kind. We will definitely be back and request him.
One of the best things we did in Austin. The wineries were great, BBQ was amazing, and the small group tour made it very fun. Would book again.
