Marna was an excellent guide. She is passionate about Galveston and took us to many interesting places with lots of great history. She took pictures of a couple of interesting spots with the two of us in the picture. She was an excellent driver and we were extremely comfortable in her double cab truck. We highly recommend

The tour guide was very knowledgeable about Galveston, was not hurried, and made stops at some landmarks to allow us get out of the tour vehicle and take photos. She was very engaging and didn't act as though she was in a hurry at all. Highly recommended!

Marna is very nice and knowledgeable about Galveston and its history. Communicating with her before and after the tour was a breeze. She picked us up at our hotel and was so so willing to make our experience the best it could be. She is so easy to talk with. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour.

My friends and I scheduled a 2 hr golf cart tour of Galveston for Monday Labor Day. The tour was wonderful, joyride makes sure you get your full amount of time on the tour. They are generous with stops for picture taking or questions! This was our 3rd tour with them and will probably take more in the future.

Marna was absolutely fabulous! Her knowledge, personable nature and efficiency were awesome. If you're interested in diving more in-depth into Galveston's history and having fun along the way, I would HIGHLY recommend this tour. So many wonderful and intriguing sites. The Grand Galvez Hotel was our absolute favorite... STUNNING. Thank you, Marna! This was worth every penny! ;-)

Guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Tour started 15 mins late and ended more than 30 mins late. While I appreciate the guide's knowledge and passion for the island, I'm not sure this tour is worth the steep asking price.

Marna was awesome! Picked us up right on time, and gave a great tour. She answered all our questions, and took us to things we specifically asked about, in addition to the planned stops. She has so much knowledge about Galveston, and kept us busy/engaged the whole tour. Upon our request, she made recommendations for dining and entertainment that we enjoyed later in our visit. Great tour - would definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed our time with Marna and Robbie - but to be honest we wouldn't recommend going to Galveston in the 'off season'. The Pier which was to be the highlight for our 9 year old was closed and Moody Gardens was a ghost town. We did spend a great hour at Buckees though!

The history of Galveston is amazing. Its early role as a major port city, its pleasure palaces with roots in organized crime, and its emergence as a tourist mecca. We especially enjoyed the historic homes that are featured. The tour guide had a great knowledge of the island and kept my wife and I engaged for the entire time, — over two hours. We also enjoyed the comfortable ride.

I was alone for the day so I booked this tour. I didn't know I would be the only passenger, but it was amazing. I got to see really anything I wanted in Galveston plus got to hear a lot about it. I got my time on the beach too! 5 stars

This was an amazing tour! I randomly selected Joyride for a private tour for my mother, sister, and myself as part of our girls trip weekend to celebrate our birthdays and Mother's Day. I am so glad I did because it was a fantastic experience! Marna picked us up in her private vehicle which was clean and the air conditioning felt so great since it was a hot, humid day. She did an excellent job explaining all the history and showing us a variety of different things. We made many stops and had ample opportunity to take many pictures. It was definitely worth the money and I would recommend Joyride and request Marna for a tour if you are in the Galveston area!

Marna one of owners of the business was our private tour guide. It was obvious that she had been a teacher, as she was very knowledgeable of the history of the island and the historical buildings and areas of interest. Very pleasant and educational to spend the two hours with her. We would highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guid was 20 minutes late. Was not as informative as we had hoped. Gave some information that was not accurate. Then returned us 15 minutes early. Not as enjoyable as we had hoped.

Our guide was on time and the vehicle was clean. Our guide knew the history and we saw a lot of the historical sights. It was sometimes hard to see if the building was on the other side of the vehicle. I took off one star because the tour lasted about an hour and 1/2 and not the 2 1/2 hour tour advertised.

They pick you up from your hotel. Tour leader was very friendly and well informed about the city of Galveston. The thing I liked about this tour was that it has a local feeling, it is not a big bus, it’s a car so you get to know the tour leader as well.

We greatly enjoyed our tour of Galveston with Joyride. Pick up was prompt at our hotel and transportation was provided both to and from the island. Interesting and informative narrative was provided as we drove around making photo stops here and there. Recommended!

Communication and promptness was great. Kind tour guide. But, for the money ($100+/person) and time (less than 1.5 hours) we were quite disappointed in the quantity of what we were shown/shared in Galveston. Felt our time and especially our money could've been spent in several other better ways. We hope if Galveston is included in your company tours in the future, you will reconsider the details this tour. It could really use some help.

I was picked up at the Port and shown highlights of Galveston by locals who know the history. It was on an individual basis so no crowds and buses which added to the experience. Money and time well spent. I highly recommend this tour. Once it was over I was dropped off at my hotel near Hobby Airport. They made a pit stop for me at Buc-ees Convenience Store and wow is all I can say.

I did this tour post-cruise thru Joyride Tour Company and was very pleased with them. Was time and money well spent. I was able to see history and highlights from the eyes of locals. I was picked up from the port and dropped off at my hotel near Hobby Airport. I was fascinated by the stop at Buc-ees’s Travel Center—- largest convenience store ever!! Another real plus is the tour was by your individual group and not as many as they could pack in. I was a solo traveler .

I did this tour as a foster time here in Houston area and was great and such a lovely and friendly couple that do Joyride tours. The time and the sights were so good and interesting to learn a lot about the area and see places that are around and still going from before the 1900 flood. Would recommend this tour and Joyride in general to all visitors to the area and even to those that want to get familiar with some of what they offer.
